Study on the geothermal production and reinjection mode in Xiong County显示文摘The large karst geothermal field of Xiong County, which is located to the south of geothermal field in Niutuozhen, features huge geothermal resources and favorable condition for development and utilization.Because of the long-term extensive production, the pressure of geothermal reservoir continues to decline and some geothermal wells even face the danger of scrapping. To relieve the fall in pressure of geothermal reservoir and achieve the sustainable development and utilization of geothermal field in the long run, reinjection experiment is conducted in the geothermal field of Xiong County and a three-dimensional hydrothermal coupled numerical model was constructed. The reinjection experiment showed that the mode of one production well and one reinjection well can be achieved in this geothermal field. The numerical simulation is used to forecast and compare the change in pressure field and temperature field under different production and reinjection modes and concludes that the most opotimized production and utilization mode is the concentrated production-reinjection mode, and the most opotimized production-reinjection combination mode is the shallow production and shallow reinjection mode which can ensure the sustainable development and utilization of geothermal resources in the long run. | WANG Shu-fang LIU Jiu-rong SUN Ying LIU Shi-liang GAO Xiao-rong SUN Cai-xia LI Hai-kui | 2018 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2018,6,3: | 9
Climate change and groundwater resources in China显示文摘Water resources play an important role in supporting the economic and social development of China. The impact of climate change on water resources has become a bottleneck in this process, especially for major projects, with surface water and groundwater systems experiencing considerable impacts. The annual natural recharge of fresh groundwater is 8 840×10~8 m^3, which accounts for approximately 31% of the water resources. Groundwater is the most significant water source for many cities and energy bases, and it is also the main source acting as a buffer against extreme climate events caused by climate change. However, most of the groundwater in China buried deeply and unevenly, which increases the difficulty of investigating and exploiting this resource. This paper illustrates the general conditions of China water resources and hydrogeological hazards, such as karst sinkholes, surface subsidence, and soil salinization, caused by climate change, El Nino, La Nina, other climate events and human activities and presents the regulatory measures enacted to mitigate these issues in China. The China Geological Survey(CGS) has organized professional teams to investigate and evaluate groundwater resources and the environment since 1999. Based on these investigations, the total quantity, expected exploitable quantity and current exploited quantity of groundwater in whole China have been evaluated. In addition, an evaluation of the groundwater pollution caused by climate change throughout China and key areas has been conducted. At present, the CGS is conducting national groundwater monitoring projects and establishing regional engineering and technical measures for water resource exploitation and utilization. | BAI Bing CHENG Yan-pei JIANG Zhong-cheng ZHANG Cheng | 2017 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2017,5,1: | 5
Comprehensive evaluation on the ecological function of groundwater in the Shiyang River watershed显示文摘With an arid climate and shortage of water resources, the groundwater dependent ecosystems in the oasis-desert ecotone of the Shiyang River Watershed has been extremely damaged, and the water crisis in the oasis has become a major concern in the social and the scientific community. In this study, the degene-ration characteristics of the groundwater ecological function was identified and comprehensive evaluated, based on groundwater depth data, vegetation quadrat and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)from Landsat program. The results showed that(1)the suitable groundwater depth for sustainable ecology in the Shiyang River Watershed is about 2-4 m;(2)the terms of degenerative, qualitative and disastrous stages of the groundwater ecological function are defined with the groundwater depths of about 5 m,7 m and 10 m;(3)generally,the groundwater ecological function in the oasis-desert ecotone of the lower reaches of Shiyang River Watershed is weak with an area of 1397.9 km2 identified as the severe deterioration region, which accounted 74.7%of the total area.In the meantime, the percentages of the good, mild and moderate deterioration areas of groundwater ecological function are 3.5%,5.5%and 16.3%,respectively,which were mainly distributed in the Qingtu lake area and the southeastern area of the Shoucheng town;(4)the degradation and shrinkage of natural oasis could be attributed to the dramatic groundwater decline, which is generally caused by irrational use of water and soil resources. This study could provide theoretical basis and scientific support for the decision-making in environmental management and ecological restoration of the Shiyang River Watershed. | Min Liu Zhen-long Nie Le Cao Li-fang Wang Hui-xiong Lu Zhe Wang Pu-cheng Zhu | 2021 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2021,9,4: | 5
Evolutionary trend of water cycle in Beichuan River Basin of China under the influence of vegetation restoration显示文摘The study aims to identify a suitable site for open and bore well in a farmhouseusing ground magnetic survey in south India. It also aims to define depth to granitoid and structural elements which traverse the selected area.Magnetic data(n=84)measured,processed and interpreted as qualitative and quantitatively. The results of total magnetic intensities indicate that the area is composed of linear magnetic lows trending NE-SW direction and circular to semi-circular causative bodies. The magnetic values ranged from-137 nT to 2345 nT with a mean of 465 nT.Reduction to equator shows significant shifting of causative bodies in the southern and northern directions.Analytical signal map shows exact boundary of granitic bodies.Cosine directional filter has brought out structural element trending NE-SW direction. Results of individual profile brought to light structurally weak zone between 90 m and 100 m in all the profile lines.Sudden decrease of magnetic values from 2042 nT to 126 nT noticed in profile line 6 between 20 m and 30 m indicates fault occurrence.Magnetic breaks obtained from these maps were visualized, interpreted and identified two suitable sites for open and bore well.Radially averaged power spectrum estimates depth of shallow and deep sources in 5 m and 50 m,respectively.Euler method has also been applied to estimate depth of granitoid and structural elements using structural indexes 0,1,2,and 3 and found depth ranges from<10 m to>90 m.Study indicates magnetic method is one of the geophysical methods suitable for groundwater exploration and site selection for open and borewells. | Liang Zhu Jing-tao Liu Ming-nan Yang Yu-xi Zhang De-ping Wen | 2021 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2021,9,3: | 5
Gravity erosion and lithology in Pisha sandstone in southern Inner Mongolia显示文摘Pisha sandstone is a soft rock found in the southern zone of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of Inner Mongolia. The presence of soft Pisha sandstone in the middle reaches of the Yellow River coincides with large areas of bedrock erosion in the river’s basin, with the average total erosion modulus as high as 44 570 t/(km^2·a). Such high levels of erosion are one of the main sources of coarse mud and sands in the Yellow River. Erosion by gravitational forces such as snow glide and landslip are the main erosion types in Pisha sandstone region. The gravity erosion modulus can be as high as 25 615 t/(km^2·a), accounting for 30.6% of the total average erosion. Our paper investigates the characteristics of Pisha sandstone in relation to the development of gravity erosion mechanisms. We conducted field investigations in Pisha sandstone region for original state rock sampling. Test results from analyses of the rock properties indicate that the mineral composition, structure and microstructure characteristics of Pisha sandstone determine its varying capacity to resist weathering. Degrees of weathering in slightly different lithological layers of Pisha sandstone lead to different erosion rates. In this way, erosion forces combined with the varying lithological strata in the rock aggravate gravitational erosion in Pisha sandstone. | GUO Jiao SHI Ying-chun WU Li-jie | 2015 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2015,3,1: | 5
Analysis of hydrogeolgical characteristics and water environmental impact pathway of typical shale gas exploration and development zones in Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Studying the influence of shale gas exploration and development on groundwater environment is the basis of guiding water environment protection in the process of shale gas exploration and development.Groundwater environmental pollution is concealed, complex and persistent.Once it is difficult to control the pollution, the current commercial shale gas development zones in Sichuan Basin that are mostly located in karst areas and highly sensitive to groundwater will be vulnerable to the impact of shale gas exploration and development.Based on the hydrogeological conditions of shale gas exploration and development area and combined with engineering analysis of exploration and development, various risk pathways that may affect the groundwater environment during process of shale gas exploration, mining well construction, mining operations and other stages were identified in this paper. Some existing risk pathways were proved by verification of typical areas and should not be ignored.Based on the actual situation of typical areas, the countermeasures of groundwater environmental protection in the process of shale gas exploration and development in karst areas were discussed. It is believed that the groundwater environment can be better protected by strengthening administration, research and application of new technologies, precise design, hydrogeological conditions, and research and feedback of groundwater environmental protection. | SUN Dong LIU Xin-ze YANG Hai-jun CAO Nan ZHANG Zhi-peng CHEN Yin-song LI Da-meng | 2019 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2019,7,3: | 5
The features of soil erosion and soil leakage in karst peak-cluster areas of Southwest China显示文摘Through utilizing water flow monitoring, rock scratching, soil wood piles and radionuclide ^(137)Cs tracing in the Longhe karst ecological experimental site(hereinafter referred to'Longhe site'), Pingguo County, Guangxi Province, the features and values of soil erosion and soil leakage in different geomorphologic locations and land uses in the karst peak-cluster depressions are showed clearly. There are four kinds of geomorphologic locations in the karst peak-cluster depression, namely peaks, strip, slopes and depression. The soil leakage modulus in the peaks and strips respectively occupy 92.43% and 96.24% of the total mean soil erosion modulus at experimental sites. On the slope, soil leakage accounted for about 75%. At the bottom of depression, surface water was the main factor of soil erosion, and at last most soil leaked into underground rivers from sinkholes. The total soil erosion modulus and the contribution rates of relative surface soil erosion in regard of peaks, slopes and depressions gradually increased. There are also five major types of land use in the karst peak-cluster depressions, farmland, Kudingcha tea plantations, young Lignum Sappan fields, shrub-grassland and pastures. The soil erosion modulus of slope farmland has the highest value with an increasing trend year by year. But soil erosion modulus of other four land use types decreased by year, which shows the 'grain for green' will result in better soil protection. By handling with rocky desertification and ecological rehabilitation in Longhe site, the mean soil erosion modulus of the karst peak-cluster depression has decreased about 80% from 2003 to 2015. | LUO Wei-qun JIANG Zhong-cheng YANG Qi-yong LI Yan-qing LIANG Jian-hong | 2018 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2018,6,1: | 5
Indication of hydrogen and oxygen stable isotopes on the characteristics and circulation patterns of medium-low temperature geothermal resources in the Guanzhong Basin,China显示文摘Guanzhong Basin is a typical medium-low temperature geothermal field mainly controlled by geo-pressure in the west of China. The characteristics of hydrogen and oxygen isotopes were used to analyze the flow and storage modes of geothermal resources in the basin. In this paper, the basin was divided into six geotectonic units, where a total of 121 samples were collected from geothermal wells and surface water bodies for the analysis of hydrogen-oxygen isotopes.Analytical results show that the isotopic signatures of hydrogen and oxygen throughout Guanzhong Basin reveal a trend of gradual increase from the basin edge areas to the basin center. In terms of recharge systems, the area in the south edge belongs to the geothermal system of Qinling Mountain piedmont, while to the north of Weihe fault is the geothermal system of North mountain piedmont, where the atmospheric temperature is about 0.2℃-1.8℃in the recharge areas. The main factors that affect the geothermal waterδ18O drifting include the depth of geothermal reservoir and temperature of geothermal reservoir, lithological characteristics,water-rock interaction, geothermal reservoir environment and residence time.Theδ18O-δD relation shows that the main source is the meteoric water, together with some sedimentary water, but there are no deep magmatic water and mantle water which recharge the geothermal water in the basin.Through examining the distribution pattern of hydrogen-oxygen isotopic signatures, the groundwater circulation model of this basin can be divided into open circulation type,semi-open type, closed type and sedimentary type. This provides some important information for rational exploitation of the geothermal resources. | Feng Ma Gui-ling Wang Hong-li Sun Zhan-xue Sun | 2022 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2022,10,1: | 5
Groundwater resources in karst area in Southern China and sustainable utilization pattern显示文摘Occurrence conditions of groundwater in southern karst area are complicated. The water-bearing media in the karst have multiplicity, and the groundwater is hosted in holes, gaps, seams, pipes and caves. The karst water shows heterogeneity where fast and slow flow coexist, and the Darcy and non-Darcy flow coexist, and the liquid flow, the gas flow and solid flow coexist. The evaluation and investigation indicates that the mineable resource of karst groundwater is about 53.44 billion m^3/y, and the current exploitation quantity is merely 6.565 billion m^3/year. The exploitation and utilization potential is gigantic. In the region there are altogether 2 763 karst subterranean rivers with a total length of 12 687 km. The dry season runoff volume equals to 47 billion m^3/year. At present the exploitation is only 10%. Four effective utilization models of karst groundwater resources have been put forward.(1) The karst hills-depression zone formed the surface-underground united reservoir. By digging tunnels, water diversion irrigation and generating electricity, the ecological economy is developed.(2) In the deep-cut peak cluster depression area, by using the high-part Epikarst spring and constructing the regulation and storage water tank, the stereo ecological agriculture is developed.(3) In the karst peak forest plain and hilly-gully area, the pump-type underground regulating reservoir is constructed and the water-saving ecological agriculture is strengthened.(4) In the fault basin region with the surrounding groundwater runoff belting beam backwater, the water resources are jointly controlled to develop a fruit crop base within the basin. | XIA Ri-yuan | 2016 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2016,4,4: | 5
Study on hydrochemical characteristics and formation mechanism of shallow groundwater in eastern Songnen Plain显示文摘Under the influence of global climate changes and human activities, the Songnen Plain's groundwater environment is deteriorating, which becomes an important factor restricting the social economic development and ecological balance. As a relatively independent water system in the Songnen Plain, the groundwater system of the Songhua River provides the main water sources for industry, agriculture, life and other aspects. According to the hydrogeological investigation, groundwater sample collection and testing in the eastern Songnen Plain, descriptive statistics analysis, piper diagram, Gibbs diagram and reverse hydrogeochemical simulation were used to analyze the hydrochemical characteristics and evolution laws of regional groundwater. The results of this study show that HCO_3^- and Ca^(2+) are the main anion and cation in the groundwater; the formation of groundwater chemical components are controlled by topographic and geomorphic factors and groundwater occurrence conditions; groundwater subarea of the Lalin-Ashi River is mainly controlled by weathering-dissolution process, and evaporation and ion-exchange reactions are more obvious in groundwater subarea of the Hulan-Tongken River, whose chemical composition also affects the valley plain groundwater subarea in the discharge area; in addition, local high intensity withdrawal causes abnormal hydrochemical evolution processes. The research results can offer scientific basis for rational utilization and protection of groundwater. | LI Xiao-han WANG Rui LI Jian-feng | 2018 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2018,6,3: | 4
Discussion on evaluation methodology of hydrothermal geothermal reservoir显示文摘Geothermal reservoir are the vehicle of geothermal resources and their occurrence as well as the storage mass. Precise description and evaluation of geothermal reservoir serves to be the cornerstone of geothermal resource exploration and exploitation. Based on the principles and basic train of geothermal reservoir evaluation, in this work, the content of geothermal reservoir evaluation was determined and the value range of geothermal reservoir evaluation parameters was discussed in combination with the actual production data of two types of geothermal reservoir in North China: The Neogene Guantao Formation sandstone pore-type geothermal reservoir, and the CambrianOrdovician and Middle Proterozoic Jixian carbonate karst-fissure-type geothermal reservoir. An evaluation method for the sandstone pore-type and the carbonate karstfissure-type geothermal reservoir is finally established based on the analysis of the production data, i.e. the values of geothermal reservoir temperature, geothermal fluid production, reinjection, physical properties and other parameters are assigned, and the geometric average value of the assigned values for the above-mentioned parameters is taken as the overall evaluation index of geothermal reservoir. From large to small, this index categorizes geothermal reservoir into three grades:Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ, which corresponds to advantageous, moderate advantageous and disadvantageous geothermal reservoir respectively. The geothermal reservoir of the same grade are further classified in light of the index value, thus realizing the comprehensive evaluation of geothermal reservoir. | FENG Jian-yun ZHANG Ying HE Zhi-liang SUN Zi-ming LUO Jun | 2019 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2019,7,1: | 4
Characteristics of geothermal reservoirs and utilization of geothermal resources in the southeastern coastal areas of China显示文摘Based on regional geological setting, stratigraphic distribution and other geological conditions, this paper summarized three types of geothermal reservoirs in the southeast coastal areas of China: Cenozoic sandstone or sandy conglomerate reservoir, Mesozoic granite fissure reservoir and Paleozoic karst reservoir. Cenozoic sandstone or sandy conglomerate reservoirs are mainly located in Cenozoic basins, such as Zhangzhou, Fuzhou, Sanshui and Leiqiong basins. The Tertiary sedimentary basins such as Leiqiong Basin and Sanshui Basin, are controlled by NE-trending faults, while the Quaternary sedimentary such as Zhangzhou and Fuzhou basins are controlled by NW-trending faults. Mesozoic granite fissure reservoirs are mainly distributed in the southeast coastal areas, such as Zhangzhou, Fuzhou, Fengshun, Yangjiang and southern part of Hainan Province. The distribution of good Mesozoic granite fissure reservoir in these areas is mainly controlled by NE-trending faults. Paleozoic carbonate reservoirs are widely distributed in these areas. Most carbonate rocks are from the upper Paleozoic strata, such as those in the area of Huizhou in Guangdong Province. The major types of geothermal systems in the southeast coastal areas of China belong to medium and low-temperature convection. The geothermal resources developed from the ground to-3 000 m underground could be utilized directly for space heating, greenhouse heating, aquaculture pond heating and industrial uses, as well as other purposes. The geothermal resources with a depth of 3 000~6 000 m underground is mainly featured by Hot Dry Rock(HDR) with a temperature ranges from 150 ℃ to 200 ℃, which is conductive to the development of Enhanced Geothermal System(EGS) and can be utilized for power generation. | ZHANG Ying LUO Jun FENG Jian-yun | 2020 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2020,8,2: | 4
Analyzing the differences of brackish-water in the Badain Lake by geophysical exploration method显示文摘BadainJ aran Desert of Inner Mongolia is arid and rainless all the year around, with much more evaporation than rainfall. But the special groundwater recharge mechanism contributes to the generation of several lakes of different sizes that have never not dried up for years, among which there are many freshwater lakes. As the research object in this paper,East Badain Lake and West Badain Lake in the southeast of the desert, which are less than 50m away from each other, show the considerable difference in mineralization. In fact, one is a freshwater lake, but the other is a brackish-water lake.Considering the underground aquifer structure of BadainJ aran Desert and the special formation structure the particularity of the stratigraphic structure around Badain Lake, the author uses AMT(audio magneto telluric)method and ultra-high density resistivity method to analyze the difference in mineralization of East Badain Lake and West Badain Lake from the perspective of geophysical prospecting methods. | SONG Hong-wei MU Hai-dong XIA Fan | 2018 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2018,6,3: | 4

Hydrochemical characteristics and geochemistry evolution of groundwater in the plain area of the Lake Baiyangdian watershed,North China Plain显示文摘Water cycle and water quality in the Lake Baiyangdian watershed of the North China Plain have undergone great changes due to over-pumping of groundwater and wastewater discharge. In this paper, hydrogeochemical data was collected to analyze the hydrochemical characteristics and geochemistry evolution of groundwater. The study area was divided into two typical parts. One was in the upstream plain area, where over-pumping had resulted in significant decline of groundwater level;the other one was located in the downstream area near the Fu River and Lake Baiyangdian(Lake BYD region). In addition to the natural weathering of minerals, excessive fertilizer was also a main factor of higher ion concentration in groundwater.According to studies, due to good permeability, these regions were easy to be polluted even with deep groundwater depth. However, upstream shallow groundwater and surface water, including lake water, domestic along with industrial wastewater were all sources of present shallow groundwater in the Lake BYD region. Results indicated that anthropogenic activities rather than minerals much matter to the groundwater in these regions.Particularly, wastewater largely decided the groundwater quality, which suggested that the management and restoration of surface water quality was crucial to groundwater protection. | ZHANG Yu-qin WANG Guang-wei WANG Shi-qin YUAN Rui-qiang TANG Chang-yuan SONG Xian-fang | 2018 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2018,6,3: | 4

Research on ground fissure origins and mechanisms in Hebei Plain,P.R.China显示文摘Ground fissure hazards frequently emerge in Hebei Plain, which damage roads, dams, buildings and farmland. The paper reviews and analyses current state of knowledge and research into ground fissure and geological environment in Hebei Plain. It is shown that the level of research and investigation is in some aspects insufficient. Knowledge is lacking in the use of corresponding geological concept models for specific ground fissures, three-dimensional numerical simulations of ground fissures caused by pumping through soil with pre-existing fractures, numerical simulations of ground fissures caused by dislocation in intersection faults, and the failure criterion and the constitutive relationship of rock and soil. Furthermore, we put forward geological concept models for ground fissure formation following the dislocation of a buried intersection fault, over-exploitation of groundwater and its compound origin mechanisms in order to provide scientific evidence for the quantitative analysis. | QI Jian-feng TIAN Meng-ke CHI Xiu-cheng WANG Cheng-zhen | 2016 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2016,4,3: | 4
Characteristics analysis and model prediction of sea-salt water intrusion in lower reaches of the Weihe River,Shandong Province,China显示文摘Marine sedimentary strata are widely distributed in the coastal zone of the study area, and are rich in brine resources. The exploitation of underground water resources often first caused the intrusion of salt water in the marine strata. Based on the analysis of sea-salt water intrusion feature, the sea-salt water intrusion is divided into four stages: The occurrence and development stage(1976–1985), the rapid development stage(1986–1990), the slow development stage(1990–2000) and the stable development stage(2000–2015). Based on the comparative analysis of the relationship between seawater intrusion and influencing factors, this paper presents that the groundwater exploitation and the brine resources mining are the main control factors of sea-salt water intrusion. On this basis, we have established a numerical model of the sea-salt water intrusion. Using this model, we predicted the development trend of the sea-salt water intrusion. The results show that if the current development of groundwater and brine is maintained, the sea-salt water intrusion will gradually withdraw; once development of brine stops, sea-salt water will invade again. This provides the scientific basis for the rational exploitation of groundwater and the prevention of sea-salt water intrusion. | WANG Ji-ning MENG Yong-hui | 2016 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2016,4,2: | 4
Analysis on hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater in strongly exploited area in Hutuo River Plain显示文摘The Hutuo River alluvial-proluvial fan is located in North China Plain, and groundwater is the main source of water supply for agriculture and domestic water. Shijiazhuang depression funnels due to the long-term excessive exploitation are the bottleneck of the regional economic development. Analyzing the chemical characteristics of groundwater under the condition of strong human activities, can provide a scientific basis for further study of strong groundwater mining area environmental change. 143 groups of shallow groundwater samples are collected during the period of 2007-2008. In this paper, the hydrochemical characteristics of groundwater in the Hutuo River Plain area are analyzed systematically, using hydrogeochemical theory, combined with statistical methods and hydrochemical methods. Results are shown as follows: HCO_3^- and Ca^(2+) are major anion and cation. The variation coefficients of K^+, Ca^(2+), Mg^(2+) and HCO_3^- between 0.25 and 0.52, which means small and stable relatively. The variation coefficient of are Na^+, NO_3^-, Cl-, SO2-4 were large(0.89-1.01). They are sensitive and vulnerable to environmental change affect. Due to the impact of human activities, from the top to the edge of the alluvial-proluvial fan, the hydrochemical types of groundwater change from single to multiple, followed by HCO_3^-Ca·Mg, HCO_3·SO_4-Ca·Mg, HCO_3·SO_4·Cl-Ca·Mg, HCO_3·Cl-Ca·Mg and other types. | TIAN Xia FEI Yu-hong ZHANG Zhao-ji LI Ya-song DUN Yu GUO Chun-yan | 2017 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2017,5,2: | 3
Hydrogeochemical characteristics of hot springs exposed from fault zones in western Guangdong and their ^(14)C age correction显示文摘Hot springs are natural exposed points of the hydrothermal system. The hydrogeochemistry of hot springs can be used to interpret the formation of the hydrothermal system; and the ^(14)C dating can be used to evaluate the renewability of the hydrothermal system. The hot springs exposed from fault zones in western Guangdong are classified as granite fissure water and clastic rock fissure water, which are sampled and tested. The results of water chemistry analysis show that hot spring water is mainly HCO_3-Na type in the beginning, while the mixing of seawater leads to the increase of Cl^-. Hydrogen and oxygen isotopes indicate that these hot springs mainly come from atmospheric precipitation, and water-rock interactions produce oxygen isotope exchange reactions, where a significant 'oxygen drift' phenomenon can be observed. The relationship between δ^(13)C and HCO_3^- indicates that there is a deep source of CO_2 'dead carbon' in hot spring water. This systematic error is not considered in the existing ^(14)C dating correction models. The ^(14)C age of the deep source 'dead carbon' correction proposed in this paper is close to the ^(14)C age of the reverse chemical simulation correction, the Gonfiantinie model, and the Mook model. The deep source 'dead carbon' correction method can improve the systematic error. Therefore, the ^(14)C age corrected by the deep source 'dead carbon' may be more representative in terms of the actual age of geothermal water. | WANG Hua MAO Xu-mei WANG Tao FENG Liang LIANG Li-li ZHU Dong-bo YANG Kai-ming | 2019 | Journal of Groundwater Science and Engineering2019,7,1: | 3
