| 1 | Automatic quantification of superficial foveal avascular zone in optical coherence tomography angiography implemented with deep learning显示文摘An accurate segmentation and quantification of the superficial foveal avascular zone(sFAZ)is important to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of many retinal diseases,such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion.We proposed a method based on deep learning for the automatic segmentation and quantification of the sFAZ in optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)images with robustness to brightness and contrast(B/C)variations.A dataset of 405 OCTA images from 45 participants was acquired with Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT 5000 and the ground truth(GT)was manually segmented subsequently.A deep learning network with an encoder–decoder architecture was created to classify each pixel into an sFAZ or non-sFAZ class.Subsequently,we applied largestconnected-region extraction and hole-filling to fine-tune the automatic segmentation results.A maximum mean dice similarity coefficient(DSC)of 0.976±0.011 was obtained when the automatic segmentation results were compared against the GT.The correlation coefficient between the area calculated from the automatic segmentation results and that calculated from the GT was 0.997.In all nine parameter groups with various brightness/contrast,all the DSCs of the proposed method were higher than 0.96.The proposed method achieved better performance in the sFAZ segmentation and quantification compared to two previously reported methods.In conclusion,we proposed and successfully verified an automatic sFAZ segmentation and quantification method based on deep learning with robustness to B/C variations.For clinical applications,this is an important progress in creating an automated segmentation and quantification applicable to clinical analysis. | Menglin Guo Mei Zhao Allen M.Y.Cheong Houjiao Dai Andrew K.C.Lam Yongjin Zhou | 2019 | Visual Computing for Industry,Biomedicine,and Art2019，2，1： | 2 |

| 7 | Comparison of research hotspots and trends in long-term care for the elderly between China and Australia: a bibliometric analysis显示文摘Objective:To explore the current status and development of long-term care(LTC)research in terms of publications in China and Australia,to identify the major contributing authors and institutions,and to compare the research hotspots and trends between China and Australia in order to encourage informed collaborations and work in future.Methods:We collected bibliometric data on the LTC of the elderly in China and Australia from 2009 to 2020 using Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS).Cite Space software was used to analyze co-authorships,co-institutions,and co-keywords.Results:A total of 826 ar ticles in Chinese and 393 in English were included for analysis.The total number of publications showed an upward trend in both countries.The top 10 productive researchers and institutions in China and Australia were identified,and their collaboration network was revealed.Then,the knowledge maps of cooccurring keywords,respectively,showed the hotspots of'LTC insurance,disabled elderly,combination of medical and health care,nursing home'and'nursing home,dementia,quality of life,intervention'in China and Australia.Strong citation burst keywords illustrated the emerging trends of'combination of medical and health care,healthy aging'in China and'polypharmacy,prevention'in Australia.Conclusions:This article provided an insight into LTC of the elderly in China and Australia,and research in this field is developing rapidly and is being increasingly valued.The findings will be useful for future researchers to facilitate collaboration,identify new topics,and suppor t urgently needed research of LTC in China. | Mian-Li Li Jacqui Allen Virginia Plummer Yan-Ling Dai | 2022 | Frontiers of Nursing2022，9，4： | 0 |
