| 1 | Antibacterial activity of Rosmarinus officinalis L.alone and in combination with cefuroxime against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus显示文摘Objective:To determine the antimicrobial activity of rosemary(Rosmarinus of ficinalis L.) and to investigate the synergistic effects of this extract combined with ceforuxime against methicillinresistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).Methods:The inhibitory and bactericidal activities of rosemary ethanol extract,alone and in combination with cefuroxime,were studied.Results:The minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of the ethanol extract of rosemary were in the range of 0.39-3.13 mg/mL.The minimum bactericidal concentrations(MBCs) were usually equal to or double that MICs.The antimicrobial activity of combinations of the ethanol extract of rosemary and cefuroxime indicated their synergistic effects against all MRSAs.Conclusions:The present work clearly demonstrates that rosemary has a key role in the elevation of susceptibility toβ-lactams. | Naser Jarrar Awni Abu-Hijleh Kamel Adwan | 2010 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2010，3，2： | 10 |
| 2 | Nutritional assessment in patients with liver cirrhosis显示文摘Malnutrition is a liver cirrhosis complication affecting more than 20%-50%of patients.Although the term can refer to either nutrient deficiency or excess,it usually relates to undernutrition in cirrhosis settings.Frailty is defined as limited physical function due to muscle weakness,whereas sarcopenia is defined as muscle mass loss and an advanced malnutrition stage.The pathogenesis of malnutrition in liver cirrhosis is multifactorial,including decreased oral intake,maldigestion/malabsorption,physical inactivity,hyperammonemia,hypermetabolism,altered macronutrient metabolism and gut microbiome dysbiosis.Patients with chronic liver disease with a Body Mass Index of<18.5 kg/m2 and/or decompensated cirrhosis or Child-Pugh class C are at the highest risk of malnutrition.For patients at risk of malnutrition,a detailed nutritional assessment is required,typically including a history and physical examination,laboratory testing,global assessment tools and body composition testing.The latter can be done using anthropometry,cross-sectional imaging including computed tomography or magnetic resonance,bioelectrical impedance analysis and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry.A multidisciplinary team should screen for and treat malnutrition in patients with cirrhosis.Malnutrition and sarcopenia are associated with an increased risk of complications and a poor prognosis in patients with liver cirrhosis;thus,it is critical to diagnose these conditions early and initiate the appropriate nutritional therapy.In this review,we describe the prevalence and pathogenesis of malnutrition in liver cirrhosis patients and discuss the best diagnostic approach to nutritional assessment for them. | Sara Haj Ali Awni Abu Sneineh Reem Hasweh | 2022 | World Journal of Hepatology2022，14，9： | 3 |

| 7 | Lineament Characterization and Their Tectonic Significance Using Gravity Data and Field Studies in the Al-Jufr Area,Southeastern Jordan Plateau显示文摘Lineaments in the southeastern Jordan plateau are mapped using gravity data and field studies in order to understand the tectonic origin of these lineaments,especially in relation to the Dead Sea transform (DST) and the Red Sea opening.Four sets trending E-W,NW-SE,NE-SW,and N-S are identified in gravity data.Field studies generally reveal similar orientations.Field and gravity studies indicate that most of the lineaments are extensional features that correspond to normal faults.Most of these were subsequently reactivated into strike-slip shear fractures.The NW-SE and N-S lineaments represent dilatational fractures.The N-S trending lineaments are the oldest.The E-W lineaments form conjugate shear fractures and are younger than the N-S lineaments.These conjugate shear fractures are also older than other set of conjugate shear fractures oriented NE-SW.The evolution of all these fractures is attributed to the DST and the Red Sea spreading.Kinematic and dynamic analysis of the two,older and younger,pairs of conjugate strike-slip fractures revealed,respectively,broadly NW-SE and N-S oriented transpressional stress (σ1) with corresponding transtensional stress (σ3) oriented NE-SW and E-W. | Awni Batayneh Habes Ghrefat Abdullah Diabat | 2012 | Journal of Earth Science2012，23，6： | 1 |

The parameters of both components are derived as:T_(eff)~a= 6180 ± 50 K,T_(eff)~b=5865 ± 70 K, log g_a = 4.35 ± 0.12, log g_b = 4.45 ± 0.14, R_a = 1.262 ± 0.08 R_⊙, R_b = 1.006 ± 0.07 R_⊙,L_a = 2.09 ± 0.10 L_⊙and L_b = 1.08 ± 0.12 L_⊙, with spectral types F8 V and G1.5V for components(a,b) respectively and age of 3.0 ± 0.9 Gyr.
