1Upper mantle anisotropy of the eastern Himalayan syntaxis and surrounding regions from shear wave splitting analysis显示文摘Polarization analysis of teleseismic data has been used to determine the XKS(SKS,SKKS,and PKS)fast polarization directions and delay times between fast and slow shear waves for 59 seismic stations of both temporary and permanent broadband seismograph networks deployed in the eastern Himalayan syntaxis(EHS)and surrounding regions.The analysis employed both the grid searching method of the minimum tangential energy and stacking analysis methods to develop an image of upper mantle anisotropy in the EHS and surrounding regions using the newly obtained shear wave splitting parameters and previously published results.The fast polarization directions are oriented along a NE-SW azimuth in the EHS.However,within the surrounding regions,the fast directions show a clockwise rotation pattern around the EHS from NE-SW,to E-W,to NW-SE,and then to N-S.In the EHS and surrounding regions,the fast directions of seismic anisotropy determined using shear wave splitting analysis correlate with surficial geological features including major sutures and faults and with the surface deformation fields derived from global positioning system(GPS)data.The coincidence between structural features in the crust,surface deformation fields and mantle anisotropy suggests that the deformation in the crust and lithospheric mantle is mechanically coupled.In the EHS,the coherence between the fast directions and the NE direction of the subduction of the Indian Plate beneath the Tibetan Plateau suggests that the lithospheric deformation is caused mainly by subduction.In the regions surrounding the EHS,we speculate that a westward retreat of the Burma slab could contribute to the curved anisotropy pattern.The Tibetan Plateau is acted upon by a NE-trending force due to the subduction of the Indian Plate,and also affected by a westward drag force due to the westward retreat produced by the eastward subduction of the Burma slab.The two forces contribute to a curved lithospheric deformation that results in the alignment of the upper mantle peridotite lattice parallel to the deformation direction,and thus generates a curved pattern of fast directions around the EHS.CHANG LiJun WANG ChunYong DING ZhiFeng YOU HuiChuan LOU Hai SHAO CuiRu 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,10:16
2Analysis of Allergens in 5473 Patients with Allergic Diseases in Harbin, China显示文摘Objective To analyze the allergic status to common inhalant allergens and food allergens in clinical patients in Harbin in northeastern China and provide evidence to develop the prevention strategy of allergic disease. Methods The data were collected from 5473 patients with clinical suspected allergic diseases seeking medical care in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University. Among these patients, 2530(46.2%) were males aged 0-86 years, the youngest was only 1 month old and 2579(47.1%) were young children and teenagers. The serum specific Immunoglobulin E(sIgE) to 14 kinds of common allergens and serum total IgE were detected by using AllergyScreen test(Mediwiss Analytic GmbH, Moers, Germany). Results In 5473 subjects the positive rate of sIgE was 33.1%(n=1813). Cow milk(6.9%) and wheat(3.1%) were the most common food allergens, followed by house dust mite mix(12.5%) and mould mix(9.4%) and the age and gender specific differences in the positive rate were significant. For the children aged <7 years the positive rates to cow milk, beef-mutton, and egg white/egg yolk were high, but the positive rates to house dust mite mix, ragweed estragon, and mould mix were low(P<0.05). For the adults the positive rates to aeroallergens were high while the rates to food allergens were low. Conclusion The results from this study showed that the food allergens in Harbin had geographic characteristics, which support the viewpoint that the environment factors play an important role in the incidence of allergic diseases. 4MicroRNA-24 promotes pancreatic beta cells toward dedifferentiation to avoid endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced apoptosis显示文摘Current research indicates that beta cell loss in type 2 diabetes may be attributed to beta cell dedifferentiation rather than apoptosis;however,the mechanisms by which this occurs remain poorly understood.Our previous study demonstrated that elevation of microRNA-24(miR-24)in a diabetic setting caused beta cell dysfunction and replicative deficiency.In this study,we focused on the role of miR-24 in beta cell apoptosis and dedifferentiation under endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress conditions.We found that miR-24 overabundance protected beta cells from thapsigargin-induced apoptosis at the cost of accelerating the impairment of glucosestimulated insulin secretion(GSIS)and enhancing the presence of dedifferentiation markers.Ingenuity?Pathway Analysis(IPA)revealed that elevation of miR-24 had an inhibitory effect on XBP1 and ATF4,which are downstream effectors of two key branches of ER stress,by inhibiting its direct target,Irela.Notably,elevated miR-24 initiated another pathway that targeted Mafa and decreased GSIS function in surviving beta cells,thus guiding their dedifferentiation under ER stress conditions.Our results demonstrated that the elevated miR-24,to the utmost extent,preserves beta cell mass by inhibiting apoptosis and inducing dedifFerentiation.This study not only provides a novel mechanism by which miR-24 dominates beta cell turnover under persistent metabolic stress but also offers a therapeutic consideration for treating diabetes by inducing dedifferentiated beta cells to re-differentiation.Yunxia Zhu Yi Sun Yuncai Zhou Yan Zhang Tao Zhang Yating Li Weiyan You Xiaoai Chang Li Yuan Xiao Han 2019Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2019,11,9:9
5Synthesis and Spectrophotometric Studies of 2-(2-Imidazolylazo)-5-Dicthylamino Phenol显示文摘In this paper, 2-(2-imidazolylazo)-5-diethylami phenol (IZAPN) was prepared, theprotonation behaviour and the condition of spectrophotometric determination of cobalt with thisreagent are reported. The results show that the new colour reagent reacts with cobalt to from astable purple red complex (l:3). However, the complex formed could be changed into anotherspecies with stable absorptivity by addition of mineral acid (1+1). 6Approach to WTA in air combat using IAFSA-IHS algorithm显示文摘In this paper, a static weapon target assignment(WTA)problem is studied. As a critical problem in cooperative air combat,outcome of WTA directly influences the battle. Along with the cost of weapons rising rapidly, it is indispensable to design a target assignment model that can ensure minimizing targets survivability and weapons consumption simultaneously. Afterwards an algorithm named as improved artificial fish swarm algorithm-improved harmony search algorithm(IAFSA-IHS) is proposed to solve the problem. 7Release of VEGF and BMP9 from injectable alginate based composite hydrogel for treatment of myocardial infarction显示文摘Myocardial infarction(MI)is one of cardiovascular diseases that pose a serious threat to human health.The pathophysiology of MI is complex and contains several sequential phases including blockage of a coronary artery,necrosis of myocardial cells,inflammation,and myocardial fibrosis.Aiming at the treatment of different stages of MI,in this work,an injectable alginate based composite hydrogel is developed to load vascular endothelial active factor(VEGF)and silk fibroin(SF)microspheres containing bone morphogenetic protein 9(BMP9)for releasing VEGF and BMP9 to realize their respective functions.The results of in vitro experiments indicate a rapid initial release of VEGF during the first few days and a relatively slow and sustained release of BMP9 for days,facilitating the formation of blood vessels in the early stage and inhibiting myocardial fibrosis in the long-term stage,respectively.Intramyocardial injection of such composite hydrogel into the infarct border zone of mice MI model via multiple points promotes angiogenesis and reduces the infarction size.Taken together,these results indicate that the dual-release of VEGF and BMP9 from the composite hydrogel results in a collaborative effect on the treatment of MI and improvement of heart function,showing a promising potential for cardiac clinical application.Yong Wu Tianqi Chang Weiqian Chen Xiaoyu Wang Jingjing Li Yueqiu Chen You Yu Zhenya Shen Qian Yu Yanxia Zhang 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,2:7

9Numerical analysis of applying special pavements to solve the frost heave diseases of high-speed railway roadbeds in seasonally frozen ground regions显示文摘The Haerbin-Dalian Passenger Dedicated Line is the first high-speed railway constructed in the seasonally frozen ground regions of northeastern China. Frost heave diseases occurred in the first winter of its operation(between October 2012 and January 2013), and frost heave was observed mainly in the roadbed fills that were considered not susceptible to frost heave. This paper proposes applying two special pavements — black pavement and insulation-black pavement — to improve the thermal regime of the roadbed. Three numerical models of the roadbed temperature field were built based on the field conditions of the Changchun section(D3K692+840 to D3K692+860). The results show that:(1) Compared with cement pavement, black pavement and insulation-black pavement could reduce the freezing index at the roadbed surface by 37% and 64%, respectively, which could influence the maximum frozen depth;(2) the maximum frozen depths under the black pavement and insulation-black pavement were respectively 1.3–1.4 m and 1 m. Compared with cement pavement, they could reduce the maximum frozen depth by 0.4 m and 0.7–0.8 m, respectively, which would reduce the permitted amount of frost heave by 4 mm and 7–8 mm, which would meet the deformation limit established by the Code for Design on Special Subgrade of Railway;(3) the freezing periods of the black pavement and the insulation-black pavement were, respectively, approximately four months and two months. 11Curved copper nanowires-based robust flexible transparent electrodes via all-solution approach显示文摘Curved Cu nanowire (CCN)-based high-performance flexible transparentconductive electrodes (FTCEs) were fabricated via a fully solution-processedapproach, involving synthesis, coating, patterning, welding, and transfer. Eachstep involved an innovative technique for completing the all-solution processes.The high-quality and well-dispersed CCNs were synthesized using a multi-polyolmethod through the synergistic effect of specific polyol reduction. To preciselycontrol the optoelectrical properties of the FTCEs, the CCNs were uniformlycoated on a polyimide (PI) substrate via a simple meniscus-dragging depositionmethod by tuning several coating parameters. We also employed a polyurethane(PU)-stamped patterning method to effectively produce 20/Jm patterns on CCNthin films. The CCN thin films exhibited high electrical performance, which isattributed to the deeply percolated CCN network formed via a solvent-dippedwelding method. 19Targeting slug-mediated non-canonical activation of c-Met to overcome chemo-resistance in metastatic ovarian cancer cells显示文摘Metastasis-associated drug resistance accounts for high mortality in ovarian cancer and remains to be a major barrier for effective treatment. In this study, SKOV3/T4, a metastatic subpopulation of ovarian cancer SKOV3 cells, was enriched to explore potential interventions against metastaticassociated drug resistance. Quantitative genomic and functional analyses were performed and found that slug was significantly increased in the SKOV3/T4 subpopulation and contributed to the high resistance of SKOV3/T4. Further studies showed that slug activated c-Met in a ligand-independent manner due to elevated levels of fibronectin and provoked integrin α V function, which was confirmed by the significant correlation of slug and p-Met levels in 121 ovarian cancer patient samples. Intriguingly,c-Met inhibitor(s) exhibited greatly enhanced anti-cancer effects in slug-positive ovarian cancer models both in vitro and in vivo. Additionally, IHC analyses revealed that slug levels were highly correlated with reduced survival of ovarian cancer patients. 20Comparative study of rendezvous techniques in post-liver transplant biliary stricture显示文摘AIM:To investigate the usefulness of a new rendezvous technique for placing stents using the Kumpe(KMP) catheter in angulated or twisted biliary strictures.METHODS:The rendezvous technique was performed in patients with a biliary stricture after living donor liver transplantation(LDLT) who required the exchange of percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage catheters for inside stents.The rendezvous technique was performed using a guidewire in 19 patients(guidewire group) and using a KMP catheter in another 19(KMP catheter group).We compared the two groups retrospectively.RESULTS:The baseline characteristics did not differ between the groups.The success rate for placing inside stents was 100% in both groups.A KMP catheter was easier to manipulate than a guidewire.The mean procedure time in the KMP catheter group(1012 s,range:301-2006 s) was shorter than that in the guidewire group(2037 s,range:251-6758 s,P = 0.022).The cumulative probabilities corresponding to the procedure time of the two groups were significantly different(P = 0.008).The factors related to procedure time were the rendezvous technique method,the number of inside stents,the operator,and balloon dilation of the stricture(P < 0.05).In a multivariate analysis,the rendezvous technique method was the only significant factor related to procedure time(P = 0.010).The procedural complications observed included one case of mild acute pancreatitis and one case of acute cholangitis in the guidewire group,and two cases of mild acute pancreatitis in the KMP catheter group.CONCLUSION:The rendezvous technique involving use of the KMP catheter was a fast and safe method for placing inside stents in patients with LDLT biliary stricture that represents a viable alternative to the guidewire rendezvous technique.Jae Hyuck Chang In Seok Lee Ho Jong Chun Jong Young Choi Seung Kyoo Yoon Dong Goo Kim Young Kyoung You Myung-Gyu Choi Sok Won Han 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,41:3
