| 3 | FibroSURE^(TM) and FibroScan~ in relation to treatment response in chronic hepatitis C virus显示文摘AIM:To compare histological endpoint assessment using noninvasive alternatives to biopsy during treatment in a chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)cohort.METHODS:Patients with chronic HCV were randomized to receive interferon-based therapy for 24(genotypes 2/3)or 48(genotype 1)wk.FibroSURE~TM(FS)was assessed at baseline and at week-12 post-treatment follow-up.Baseline biopsy for METAVIR was assessed by a single pathologist.FibroScan~ transient elastogra-phy(TE)was performed during treatment in a patient subset.RESULTS:Two thousand and sixty patients(n = 253 in Asia)were classif ied as METAVIR F0-1(n = 1682)or F2-4(n = 378).For F2-4,FS(n = 2055)had sensitiv-ity and specif icity of 0.87 and 0.61,respectively,with area under the receiver-operating curve of 0.82;corre-sponding values for TE(n = 214)and combined FS/TE(n = 209)were 0.77,0.88 and 0.88,and 0.93,0.68 and 0.88.Overall FS/TE agreement for F2-4 was 71%(κ = 0.41)and higher in Asians vs non-Asians(κ = 0.86 vs 0.35;P < 0.001).Combined FS/TE had 97% accuracy in Asians(n = 33).Baseline FS(0.38 vs 0.51,P < 0.001)and TE(8.0 kPa vs 11.9 kPa,P = 0.006)scores were lower in patients with sustained virological response than in nonresponders,and were maintained through follow-up.CONCLUSION:FS and TE may reliably differentiate mild from moderate-advanced disease,with a potential for high diagnostic accuracy in Asians with chronic HCV. | Keyur Patel Mireen Friedrich-Rust Yoav Lurie Mircea Grigorescu Carol Stanciu Chuan-Mo Lee Eugene R Schiff Dieter Hussinger Michael P Manns Guido Gerken Isabelle Colle Michael Torbenson Erik Pulkstenis G Mani Subramanian John G McHutchison Stefan Zeuzem | 2011 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2011，17，41： | 4 |
| 4 | Recent advances in the diagnostic evaluation of pancreatic cystic lesions显示文摘Pancreatic cystic lesions(PCLs)are becoming more prevalent due to more frequent abdominal imaging and the increasing age of the general population.It has become crucial to identify these PCLs and subsequently risk stratify them to guide management.Given the high morbidity associated with pancreatic surgery,only those PCLs at high risk for malignancy should undergo such treatment.However,current diagnostic testing is suboptimal at accurately diagnosing and risk stratifying PCLs.Therefore,research has focused on developing new techniques for differentiating mucinous from non-mucinous PCLs and identifying high risk lesions for malignancy.Cross sectional imaging radiomics can potentially improve the predictive accuracy of primary risk stratification of PCLs at the time of detection to guide invasive testing.While cyst fluid glucose has reemerged as a potential biomarker,cyst fluid molecular markers have improved accuracy for identifying specific types of PCLs.Endoscopic ultrasound guided approaches such as confocal laser endomicroscopy and through the needle microforceps biopsy have shown a good correlation with histopathological findings and are evolving techniques for identifying and risk stratifying PCLs.While most of these recent diagnostics are only practiced at selective tertiary care centers,they hold a promise that management of PCLs will only get better in the future. | Devarshi R Ardeshna Troy Cao Brandon Rodgers Chidiebere Onongaya Dan Jones Wei Chen Eugene J Koay Somashekar G Krishna | 2022 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2022，28，6： | 3 |
| 5 | High-resolution impedance mapping using electrically activated quantitative phase imaging显示文摘Retrieving electrical impedance maps at the nanoscale rapidly via nondestructive inspection with a high signal-to-noise ratio is an unmet need,likely to impact various applications from biomedicine to energy conversion.In this study,we develop a multimodal functional imaging instrument that is characterized by the dual capability of impedance mapping and phase quantitation,high spatial resolution,and low temporal noise.To achieve this,we advance a quantitative phase imaging system,referred to as epi-magnified image spatial spectrum microscopy combined with electrical actuation,to provide complementary maps of the optical path and electrical impedance.We demonstrate our system with high-resolution maps of optical path differences and electrical impedance variations that can distinguish nanosized,semi-transparent,structured coatings involving two materials with relatively similar electrical properties.We map heterogeneous interfaces corresponding to an indium tin oxide layer exposed by holes with diameters as small as~550 nm in a titanium(dioxide)over-layer deposited on a glass support.We show that electrical modulation during the phase imaging of a macro-electrode is decisive for retrieving electrical impedance distributions with submicron spatial resolution-and beyond the limitations of electrode-based technologies(surface or scanning technologies).The findings,which are substantiated by a theoretical model that fits the experimental data very well enable achieving electro-optical maps with high spatial and temporal resolutions.The virtues and limitations of the novel optoelectrochemical method that provides grounds for a wider range of electrically modulated optical methods for measuring the electric field locally are critically discussed. | Cristina Polonschii Mihaela Gheorghiu Sorin David Szilveszter Gáspár Sorin Melinte Hassaan Majeed Mikhail E.Kandel Gabriel Popescu Eugen Gheorghiu | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021，10，2： | 2 |
