1A handy review of carpal tunnel syndrome:From anatomy to diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) is the most commonly diagnosed disabling condition of the upper extremities. It is the most commonly known and prevalent type of peripheral entrapment neuropathy that accounts for about 90% of all entrapment neuropathies. 2Histological and biochemical alterations in early-stage lobar ischemia-reperfusion in rat liver显示文摘AIM:To investigate the structural and biochemical changes in the early stage of reperfusion in the rat livers exposed to lobar ischemia-reperfusion (IR).METHODS: The median and left lobes of the liver were subjected to 60 min ischemia followed by 5, 10, 30, 45, 60 and 120 min reperfusion. Blood samples were taken at different time intervals to test enzyme activities and biochemical alterations induced by reperfusion. At the end of each reperfusion period, the animals were killed by euthanasia and tissue samples were taken for histological examination and immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Cell vacuolation, bleb formation and focal hepatitis were the most important changes occur during ischemia. While some changes including bleb formation were removed during reperfusion, other alterations including portal hepatitis, inflammation and the induction of apoptosis were seen during this stage. The occurrence of apoptosis, as demonstrated by apoptotic cells and bodies, was the most important histological change during reperfusion. The severity of apoptosis was dependent on the time of reperfusion, and by increasing the time of reperfusion,the numbers of apoptotic bodies was significantly enhanced. The amounts of lactate dehydrogenase, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, creatinine and urea were significantly increased in serum obtained from animals exposed to hepatic IR.CONCLUSION: Inflammation and subsequent apoptotic cell death were the most important changes in early-stage hepatic reperfusion injury, and the number of apoptotic bodies increased with time of reperfusion.Hossein Ali Arab Farhang Sasani Mohammad Hossein Rafiee Ahmad Fatemi Abbas Javaheri 2009World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,16:16

4采用BNi-2钎焊合金和搅拌摩擦加工提高双向不锈钢与铝合金的脉冲激光焊接性能(英文)显示文摘研究激光脉冲距离和5456 铝合金强化对其与双相不锈钢(DSS)板激光焊接性能的影响。首先,采用镍基BNi-2 钎焊粉通过搅拌摩擦加工增强铝合金板;然后,将DSS 板分别与Al5456 铝合金板和Al5456/BNi-2 复合材料进行激光焊接。采用扫描电镜、X 射线衍射仪、显微硬度仪和剪切试验等方法对焊接区进行研究。结果显示,随着激光脉冲距离从0.2 mm 增加到0.5 mm,焊接界面层从23 μm 减小到5 μm。由于铝合金的增强相BNi-2 向熔池中注入更多的镍,导致界面层的析出相由DSS/铝合金焊缝中的Al-Fe 金属间化合物(IMCs)转变为DSS/Al 复合材料焊缝中的Al-Ni-Fe 金属间化合物(IMCs),因此,焊缝裂纹倾向显著降低,界面层硬度由~950 HV 降低到~600 HV。与DSS/Al 焊缝相比,DSS/Al 复合材料焊缝的剪切强度提高~150%,从46 MPa 提高到114 MPa。Hossein ESMAILY Ali HABIBOLAHZADEH Mohammad TAJALLY 2019Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2019,29,7:6
5Effects of different periods of renal ischemia on liver as a remote organ显示文摘AIM:To assess the hepatic changes after induction of different periods of renal ischemia. METHODS:Rats were subjected to either sham operation or ischemia (30,45 and 60 min) followed by 60 min reperfusion. Liver and renal functional indices were measured. Hepatic glutathione (GSH) and ferric reducing antioxidant power levels and the concentration of interleukin (IL)-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) were evaluated. Portions of liver and kidney tissues were fixed for histological evaluation. RESULTS:Forty-five minutes renal ischemia followed by 60 min reperfusion caused significant changes in liver structure and a significant reduction in renalfunction. These rats showed a significant decrease in liver GSH,as well as a significant increase in TNF-α and IL-10 concentrations. These results demonstrated that renal ischemia caused changes in liver histology,function,oxidative stress and inflammatory status,which led to a reduction in hepatic antioxidant capacity. 6提高复合挤压铸造Al/Al-Cu双金属宏观复合材料界面结合的新方法(英文)显示文摘开发一种简便的提高复合挤压铸造Al/Al-4.5wt.%Cu双金属复合材料界面结合的新方法,并研究该方法对此双金属的显微组织和力学性能的影响。在挤压铸造Al-4.5wt.%Cu的内表面机加工一种特殊的同心槽图案,利用ProCAST和ANSYS软件对双金属构件界面区域的传热、凝固和产生的应力分布进行数值模拟,并进行实验验证。模拟结果表明,表面沟槽尖端完全熔化,沿界面产生较大的局部应力梯度场,这会导致插入界面的氧化铝层破裂,促进双金属组分的扩散结合。显微组织表征证实双金属界面存在明显的过渡区。通过加工表面图案,双金属的平均过渡区厚度和抗拉强度分别显著增加到375μm和54MPa。因此,该方法是一种经济可行的复合挤压铸造铝-铝宏观复合双金属的方法,不需要提前对固体镶块进行任何成本和时间密集型的化学或涂层处理。Mohammad Hossein BABAEE Ali MALEKI Behzad NIROUMAND 2019Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2019,29,6:5
7活性炭负载硫化锡纳米颗粒作为高效可重复使用Lewis酸催化剂催化三组分一锅法合成4H-吡喃[2,3-c]吡唑衍生物(英文)显示文摘Tin sulfide nanoparticles(SnS -NPs) were prepared in aqueous solution at room temperature on the surface of activated carbon(AC) and were investigated using field-emission scanning electron mi-croscopy(FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffraction, reflective ultravio-let-visible spectrophotometry, and spectrofluorimetry. Calculations based on the SEM and TEM images showed that the sizes of the SnS -NPs immobilized on the AC were 30–70 nm. The prepared nanocomposite was used as a heterogeneous Lewis acid catalyst for the three-components one-pot synthesis of 4H-pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole derivatives in ethanol at 80 ℃. The reactions were efficiently performed in the presence of the prepared catalyst in short reaction times, and gave the desired products in high yields. 8The effects of biochar on soil nutrients status,microbial activity and carbon sequestration potential in two calcareous soils显示文摘Biochar as an organic amendment improves soil attributes,with a potentially significant effect on soil chemical fertility and quality.The main objective of this study was to quantify the effect of biochar addition on nutrients,carbon sequestra-tion and microbial activity and understand the mechanisms of controlling biochar effects in calcareous soils.Maize residue biochars produced at 200,400 and 600℃ were added at 5 and 10 g kg^(−1)rates to sandy loam and clayey texture calcareous soils.The soil properties measured were pH and electrical conductivity(EC),plant-available potassium(K)and available phosphorus(P),total nitrogen(TN),C sequestration;and the fluorescein diacetate(FDA)hydrolysis activity.Addition of raw material and biochars increased pH(0.15-0.46 units),EC(0.14-0.38 dS m^(−1)),TN(63-120%),K(12-41%)and FDA activity(27-280%),but tended to decrease plant-available P(23-86%).Increasing pyrolysis temperature increased soil C pool index(CPI),but decreased the FDA and the changes depended largely upon the application rate and soil texture.The positive effects of biochar addition and its pyrolysis temperature on soil C sequestration potential were more pronounced at high than low application rate and in sandy loam than clayey soils.Nevertheless,the effect of biochar addition and pyrolysis temperature on the FDA activity was higher at high than low application rates,but lower in sandy loam than clayey soils.Although biochar application may successfully improve soil processes and attributes and have a high potential for C seques-tration,its effects are controlled by soil texture,pyrolysis temperature and application rate.Allahyar Khadem Fayez Raiesi Hossein Besharati Mohammad Ali Khalaj 2021Biochar2021,3,1:4
9转盘式萃取塔有效扩散系数的预测及其在设计中的应用(英文)显示文摘A rotating disc column (RDC) with inner diameter 68 mm and 28 compartments is used in this study. Parameters including Sauter mean diameter, hold-up and mass transfer coefficient are measured experimentally un-der different operating conditions. The correlations in literature for molecular diffusion and enhancement factor equation including eddy diffusion, circulation and oscillation of drops are evaluated. A new equation for the effec-tive diffusion coefficient as a function of Reynolds number is proposed. The calculated values of mass transfer co-efficient and column height from the previous equations and present equation are compared with the experimental data. 10Fluid Flow and Mixing in Non-Isothermal Water Model of Continuous Casting Tundish显示文摘Fluid flow and mixing of molten steel in a twin-slab-strand continuous casting tundish were investigated using a mixing model under non-isothermal conditions.This model led to a set of ordinary differential equations that were solved with a Runge-Kutta algorithm.Steady state water modeling was carried out under non-isothermal conditions.Experimental data obtained from the water model were used to calibrate the mixing model.Owing to the presence of a mixed convection in the non-isothermal conditions,a channelizing flow would be created in the fluid inside the tundish.A mixing model was designed that was capable of predicting RTD(residence time distribution)curves for different cases in non-isothermal conditions.The relationship between RTD parameters and the Tu(tundish Richardson number)was obtained for various cases under non-isothermal conditions.The results show that the RTD parameters were completely different under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions.The comparison of the RTD curves between the isothermal and non-isothermal conditions presents that the extent of mixing in the tundish in non-isothermal conditions is lower than the mixing extent in isothermal conditions.Mehdi ALIZADEH Hossein EDRIS Ali SHAFYEI 2008Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2008,15,2:3

13Should we change our approach to resuscitating victims of femoral fracture?A clinical experience in a busy trauma hospital in Shiraz,Iran显示文摘Purpose Traumatic hemorrhagic shock is a life-threatening event worldwide.Severe brain trauma accompanying femoral fractures can trigger inflammatory responses in the body and increase pre-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α,IL-1.The primary treatment in these cases is hydration with crystalloids,which has both benefits and complications.The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of fluid therapy on the hemodynamics,coagulation profiles,and blood gases in such patients.Methods In this cross-sectional study,patients were divided into two groups:femoral fracture group and non-femoral group.The hemodynamic status,coagulation profile,and blood gases of patients in both groups were evaluated upon arrival at the hospital and again 2 h later.Data were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA with repeated data and paired samples t-test.Results A total of 681 trauma patients(605 men and 76 women)participated in this study,including 69(86.3%)men and 11(13.8%)women in femoral fracture group and 536 men(89.2%)and 65 women(10.8%)in non-femoral group.The laboratory parameters were evaluated in response to the equal amount of crystalloid fluid given upon arrival and 2 h later.Blood gases decreased in the fracture group despite fluid therapy(p<0.003),and the coagulation profile worsened although the change was not statistically significant.Conclusion The treatment of multiple-trauma patients with femoral bone fractures should be more concerned with the need for the infusion of vasopressors such as norepinephrine.If there is evidence of clinical shock,excessive crystalloid infusion(limited to 1 L)should be avoided,and blood and blood products should be started as soon as possible.Shahram Paydar Ali Taheri Akerdi Sadra Nikseresht Hossein Abdolrahimzadeh-Fard Leila Shayan Zahra Ghahramani Shahram Bolandparvaz Hamid Reza Abbasi 2021Chinese Journal of Traumatology2021,24,1:3
14Functional evaluation of the filtering bleb by ultrasound biomicroscopy after trabeculectomy with mitomycin C显示文摘AIM: To study the role of ultrasound biomicroscopy(UBM) in the assessment of the bleb function after trabeculectomy with mitomycin C(MMC). METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study including all cases had undergone trabeculectomy with MMC 0.2 mg/mL for 3 min. Participants were recruited from the follow-up cases at Department of Ophthalmology, Tanta University in the period from August 2015 to August 2016. Full history taking and ophthalmological examination were performed. Intraocular pressure(IOP) was measured using Goldmann applanation tonometry and the history of prescribed postoperative antiglaucoma medications was recorded. Accordingly, the trabeculectomy blebs were divided clinically into successful blebs when the IOP post-operative was ≤18 mmHg without medications. Scanning examination of the filtering bleb using UBM examination was performed at the period from 2 to 36 mo after trabeculectomy(13.6±9.7 m o). RESULTS: This study included 33 trabeculectomy filtering blebs of 25 patients(9 males and 16 females). The mean age of patients was 53.2±14.2 y(range 25-71y). We had 20 eyes with complete success, 9 eyes with qualified success, and 4 eyes with failure after trabeculectomy with MMC. The blebs were classified into successful blebs(IOP ≤18 mmHg without antiglaucoma medications), others were classified into qualified successful and failed blebs. 17Imperialistic Competitive Algorithm:A metaheuristic algorithm for locating the critical slip surface in 2-Dimensional soil slopes显示文摘In this study, Imperialistic Competitive Algorithm(ICA) is utilized for locating the critical failure surface and computing the factor of safety(FOS) in a slope stability analysis based on the limit equilibrium approach. The factor of safety relating to each trial slip surface is calculated using a simplified algorithm of the Morgenstern-Price method, which satisfies both the force and the moment equilibriums. General slip surface is considered non-circular in this study that is constituted by linking random straight lines.To explore the performance of the proposed algorithm, four benchmark test problems are analyzed. The results demonstrate that the present techniques can provide reliable, accurate and efficient solutions for locating the critical failure surface and relating FOS. 18Effects of oil contamination and bioremediation on geotechnical properties of highly plastic clayey soil显示文摘Leakage of oil and its derivatives into the soil can change the engineering behavior of soil as well as cause environmental disasters.Also,recovering the contaminated sites into their natural condition and making contaminated materials as both environmentally and geotechnically suitable construction materials need the employment of remediation techniques.Bioremediation,as an efficient,low cost and environmentalfriendly approach,was used in the case of highly plastic clayey soils.To better understand the change in geotechnical properties of highly plastic fine-grained soil due to crude oil contamination and bioremediation,Atterberg limits,compaction,unconfined compression,direct shear,and consolidation tests were conducted on natural,contaminated,and bioremediated soil samples to investigate the effects of contamination and remediation on fine-grained soil properties.Oil contamination reduced maximum dry density(MDD),optimum moisture content(OMC),unconfined compressive strength(UCS),shear strength,swelling pressure,and coefficient of consolidation of soil.In addition,contamination increased the compression and swelling indices and compressibility of soil.Bioremediation reduced soil contamination by about 50%.Moreover,in comparison with contaminated soil,bioremediation reduced the MDD,UCS,swelling index,free swelling and swelling pressure of soil,and also increased OMC,shear strength,cohesion,internal friction angle,failure strain,porosity,compression index,and settlement.Microstructural analyses showed that oil contamination does not alter the soil structure in terms of chemical compounds,elements,and constituent minerals.While it decreased the specific surface area of the soil,and the bioremediation significantly increased the mentioned parameters.Bioremediation resulted in the formation of quasi-fibrous textures and porous and agglomerated structures.As a result,oil contamination affected the mechanical properties of soil negatively,but bioremediation improved these properties.Araz Salimnezhad Hossein Soltani-Jigheh Ali Abolhasani Soorki 2021Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2021,13,3:2

20Combination of sensitivity and uncertainty analyses for sediment transport modeling in sewer pipes显示文摘Mitigation of sediment deposition in lined open channels is an essential issue in hydraulic engineering practice.Hence,the limiting velocity should be determined to keep the channel bottom clean from sediment deposits.Recently,sediment transport modeling using various artificial intelligence(AI)techniques has attracted the interest of many researchers.The current integrated study highlights unique insight for modeling of sediment transport in sewer and urban drainage systems.A novel methodology based on the combination of sensitivity and uncertainty analyses with a machine learning technique is proposed as a tool for selection of the best input combination for modeling process at non-deposition conditions of sediment transport.Utilizing one to seven dimensionless parameters,127 models are developed in the current study.In order to evaluate the different parameter combinations and select the training and testing data,four strategies are considered.Considering the densimetric Froude number(Fr)as the dependent parameter,a model with independent parameters of volumetric sediment concentration(CV)and relative particle size(d/R)gave the best results with a mean absolute relative error(MARE)of 0.1 and a root means square error(RMSE)of 0.67.Uncertainty analysis is applied with a machine learning technique to investigate the credibility of the proposed methods.The percentage of the observed sample data bracketed by 95%predicted uncertainty bound(95PPU)is computed to assess the uncertainty of the best models.Isa Ebtehaj Hossein Bonakdari Mir Jafar Sadegh Safari Bahram Gharabaghi Amir Hossein Zaji Hossien Riahi Madavar Zohreh Sheikh Khozani Mohammad Sadegh Es-haghi Aydin Shishegaran Ali Danandeh Mehr 2020International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,2:2
