| 2 | Assessing adequacy of emergency provider documentation among interhospital transferred patients with acute aortic dissection显示文摘BACKGROUND: Acute aortic dissection(AoD) is a hypertensive emergency often requiring the transfer of patients to higher care hospitals; thus, clinical care documentation and compliance with the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act(EMTALA) is crucial. The study assessed emergency providers(EP) documentation of clinical care and EMTALA compliance among interhospital transferred AoD patients.METHODS: This retrospective study examined adult patients transferred directly from a referring emergency department(ED) to a quaternary academic center between January 1, 2011 and September 30, 2015. The primary outcome was the percentage of records with adequate documentation of clinical care(ADoCC). The secondary outcome was the percentage of records with adequate documentation of EMTALA compliance(ADoEMTALA). RESULTS: There were 563 electronically identified patients with 287 included in the final analysis. One hundred and five(36.6%) patients had ADoCC while 166(57.8%) patients had ADoEMTALA. Patients with inadequate documentation of EMTALA(IDoEMTALA) were associated with a higher likelihood of not meeting the American Heart Association(AHA) ED Departure SBP guideline(OR 1.8, 95% CI 1.03–3.2, P=0.04). Male gender, handwritten type of documentation, and transport by air were associated with an increased risk of inadequate documentation of clinical care(IDoCC), while receiving continuous infusion was associated with higher risk of IDoEMTALA.CONCLUSION: Documentation of clinical care and EMTALA compliance by Emergency Providers is poor. Inadequate EMTALA documentation was associated with a higher likelihood of patients not meeting the AHA ED Departure SBP guideline. | 3 | Stock-Price Forecasting Based on XGBoost and LSTM显示文摘Using time-series data analysis for stock-price forecasting(SPF)is complex and challenging because many factors can influence stock prices(e.g.,inflation,seasonality,economic policy,societal behaviors).Such factors can be analyzed over time for SPF.Machine learning and deep learning have been shown to obtain better forecasts of stock prices than traditional approaches.This study,therefore,proposed a method to enhance the performance of an SPF system based on advanced machine learning and deep learning approaches.First,we applied extreme gradient boosting as a feature-selection technique to extract important features from high-dimensional time-series data and remove redundant features.Then,we fed selected features into a deep long short-term memory(LSTM)network to forecast stock prices.The deep LSTM network was used to reflect the temporal nature of the input time series and fully exploit future con-textual information.The complex structure enables this network to capture more stochasticity within the stock price.The method does not change when applied to stock data or Forex data.Experimental results based on a Forex dataset covering 2008–2018 showed that our approach outperformed the baseline autoregressive integrated moving average approach with regard to mean absolute error,mean squared error,and root-mean-square error. | Pham Hoang Vuong Trinh Tan Dat Tieu Khoi Mai Pham Hoang Uyen Pham The Bao | 2022 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2022，40，1： | 2 |

| 5 | Heat Transfer Performance of Microgroove Back Plate Heat Pipes with Working Fluid and Heating Power显示文摘Micro heat pipes(MHP) cooling is one of the most efficient solutions to radiate heat for high heat flux electronic components in data centers. It is necessary to improve heat transfer performance of microgroove back plate heat pipes. This paper discusses about influence on thermal resistance through experiments and numerical simulation with different working fluids, filling ratio and heat power. Thermal resistance of the CO2 filled heat pipe is 14.8% lower than the acetone filled heat pipe. In the meantime, at the best filling ratio of 40%, the CO2 filled heat pipe has the optimal heat transfer behavior with the smallest thermal resistance of 0.123 K/W. The thermal resistance continues to decline but the magnitude of decreases is going to be minor.
