1Genetic Relationships among Prunus mume var. pendula Using AFLP Markers显示文摘Genetic relationships among Prunus mume var. pendula were studied by using AFLP markers. 18 accessions representing 14 cultivars of Prunus mume var. pendula were selected from the germplasm collection at the Research Center of China Mei Flower. Seven Mse I-EcoR I AFLP primer combinations revealed 450 legible bands, and 269 of which were polymorphic markers. A similarity matrix was prepared using the simple matching coefficient of similarity and Neis (72) distance coefficient. A UPGMA dendrogram demonstrated the genetic relationships of the cultivars. The information given by AFLP markers was basically consistent with the morphological classification and the evolutionary history of the morphotypes, and roughly supported the new revised classification system for Chinese Mei Cultivars. But there were still several exceptions: 1) the Guhong Chuizhi inserted between the Tiaoxue Chuizhi and the Danfen Chuizhi; 2) the Wufu Chuizhi kept off the Pink Pendant Form, and the Moshan Chuizhi was removed from Viridiflora Pendant Form; 3) the Danbi Chuizhi and the Shuangbi Chuizhi of Viridiflora Pendant Form got together well but fell within the Pink Pendant Form.Ming Jun1* Zhang Qixiang2 Ru Guangxin3 Mao Qingshan4 Yan Xiaolan4 Lan Yanping5 1Department of Horticulture, Hubei Agricultural College, Jingzhou 434025, P. 2Optimal Waist Circumference Cut-off values for Identifying Metabolic Risk Factors in Middle-aged and Elderly Subjects in Shandong Province of China显示文摘Objective To study the optimal waist circumference(WC) cut-off values for identifying metabolic risk factors in middle-aged and elderly subjects in Shandong Province of China. Methods A total of 2 873 men and 5 559 women were included in this cross-sectional study. Metabolic syndrome(MetS) was diagnosed according to the definition of Chinese Diabetes Society in 2004. The relation between WC and MetS was analyzed by multivariate logistic regression analysis. The optimal WC cut-off values were identified using the area under the ROC curve and the different diagnostic criteria for central obesity were compared. Results The WC was the risk factor for MetS independent of BMI, blood glucose, blood lipid, and blood pressure. The optimal WC cut-off value was 83.8 cm and 91.1 cm for identifying MetS in women and men, respectively. Compared with 80 cm and 85 cm for women and men, 85 cm and 90 cm had a higher Youden index for identifying all metabolic risk factors and MetS in women and men. 3Engineering of triterpene metabolism and overexpression of the lignin biosynthesis gene PAL promotes ginsenoside Rg3 accumulation in ginseng plant chassis显示文摘The ginsenoside Rgfound in Panax species has extensive pharmacological properties,in particular anti-cancer effects.However,its natural yield in Panax plants is limited.Here,we report a multimodular strategy to improve yields of Rgin a Panax ginseng chassis,combining engineering of triterpene metabolism and overexpression of a lignin biosynthesis gene,phenylalanine ammonia lyase(PAL).We first performed semi-rational design and site mutagenesis to improve the enzymatic efficiency of Pq3-O-UGT2,a glycosyltransferase that directly catalyzes the biosynthesis of Rgfrom Rh.Next,we used clustered regularly interspaced palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)gene editing to knock down the branch pathway of protopanaxatriol-type ginsenoside biosynthesis to enhance the metabolic flux of the protopanaxadiol-type ginsenoside Rg.Overexpression of PAL accelerated the formation of the xylem structure,significantly improving ginsenoside Rgaccumulation(to 6.19-fold higher than in thecontrol).Wecombinedoverexpression of the ginsenoside aglycon synthetic genes squalene epoxidase,Pq3-O-UGT2,and PAL with CRISPR/Cas9-based knockdown of CYP716A53v2 to improve ginsenoside Rgaccumulation.Finally,we produced ginsenoside Rgat a yield of 83.6 mg/L in a shake flask(7.0 mg/g dry weight,21.12-fold higher than with wild-type cultures).The highproduction system established in this study could be a potential platform to produce the ginsenoside Rgcommercially for pharmaceutical use.Lu Yao Huanyu Zhang Yirong Liu Qiushuang Ji Jing Xie Ru Zhang Luqi Huang Kunrong Mei Juan Wang Wenyuan Gao 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,9:3

9Association between Phthalate Exposure and the Use of Plastic Containers in Shanghai Adults显示文摘Objective Consuming phthalates may be due to the presence of food contact materials,such as plastic containers.In this study,we investigated the association between plastic container use and phthalate exposure in 2,140 Shanghai adults.Methods Participants completed a questionnaire on the frequency of using plastic containers in different scenarios in the previous year(e.g.,daily,weekly) and on the consumption of plastic-packaged foods in the previous three days(yes or no).Urinary phthalate metabolites were used to assess the association between phthalate exposure and the use of plastic containers.Results The metabolites of di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP) were the most frequently detected in urine.The results revealed that phthalate exposure was associated with consumption of plastic-packaged breakfast or processed food items in the previous three days.The consumption of these two food items had strong synergistic effects on increasing urinary concentrations of most phthalate metabolites.Conclusion Our results of plastic-packaged breakfast and processed food may be explained by the use of flexible plastic containers,indicating the importance of risk assessment for the application of flexible plastic containers.DONG Rui Hua ZHANG Han ZHANG Mei Ru CHEN Jing Si WU Min LI Shu Guang CHEN Bo 2017Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2017,30,10:2

11Phase Analysis of Titanium in Steel and Some Aspects on Their Application显示文摘Phase analysis of titanium in steel has been carried out on thirty samples with different Ti-content from 0.036%- 0.204%.The various heat treatments for the samples are to anneal at 1050-1200 C for a while.followed by cooling at a rate of 1,10.20 ℃/s.respectively.It is achieved to separate and determine fine particle TiC.coarse particle TiC,Ti_2CS and TiN extracted from steel by controlling the oxidation potential and acidity of solutions.The results of quantitative analysis of the individual phase show that 0.09%— 0.13%Ti-content is enough to eliminate free nitrogen and transform MnS into Ti_2CS in steel effectively.In the case of0.06%-0.10%Ti-content combined with annealing at 1050 C and quick cooling at 20 ℃/s,a proper amount of fine particle TiC can be precipitated and the rate of TiC(fine)/TiC(total)is high,which are beneficial to increase strength and toughness of steel.More Ti-content or cooling slowly will precipitate more coarse particle TiC which decreaces toughness severely.The proposed methods for quantitative phase analysis of titanium in steel are given in detail.CHEN Ming Hao and SHEN Ru Mei 1994Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)1994,1,1:1

15Comparable outcomes but higher risks of prolonged viral RNA shedding duration and secondary infection in cancer survivors with COVID-19: A multi-center, matched retrospective cohort study显示文摘Results Sixty-one cancer survivors and 183 matched non-cancer patients were screened from 2,828 COVID-19 infected patients admitted to 4 hospitals in Wuhan,China.The median ages of the cancer survivor cohort and non-cancer patient cohort were 64.0(55.0–73.0)and 64.0(54.0–73.5),respectively(P=0.909).Cancer survivors reported a higher incidence of symptom onset than non-cancer patients.Fever(80.3%vs.65.0%;P=0.026)was the most prevalent symptom,followed by cough(65.6%vs.37.7%;P<0.001),myalgia,and fatigue(45.9%vs.13.6%;P<0.001).The risks of the development of severe events(adjusted hazard ratio[AHR]=1.25;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.76–2.06;P=0.378)and mortality(relative risk[RR]=0.90,95%CI:0.79–1.04;P=0.416)in the cancer survivor cohort were comparable to those of the matched non-cancer patient cohort.However,the cancer survivor cohort showed a higher incidence of secondary infection(52.5%vs.30.1%;RR=1.47,95%CI:1.11–1.95;P=0.002)and a prolonged viral RNA shedding duration(32 days[IQR 26.0–46.0]vs.24.0 days[IQR 18.0–33.0];AHR=0.54;95%CI:0.38–0.80;P<0.05).Conclusion Compared to non-cancer patients,cancer survivors with COVID-19 exhibited a higher incidence of secondary infection,a prolonged period of viral shedding,but comparable risks of the development of severe events and mortality.It is helpful for clinicians to take tailored measures to treat cancer survivors with COVID-19.Hui Peng Sheng Wang Qi Mei Yuhong Dai Jian Li Ming Li Kathrin Halfter Xueyan Jiang Qin Huang Lei Wang Wei Wei Ru Liu Zhen cao Motuma Yigezu Daba Fangfang Wang Bingqing Zhou Hong Qiu Xianglin Yuan 2020Oncology and Translational Medicine2020,6,6:1

17Dehalogenation of Aryl Halides Catalyzed by MontK10 Immobilized PVP-Pd-Sn Catalyst in Aqueous System显示文摘A series of PVP-Pd-Sn/MontK10 catalysts were prepared by immobilization of PVP[poly(N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone)] supported bimetallic catalyst using MontK10 as carrier. This catalyst has good catalytic activity for hydrogen transfer dehalogenation of aryl halides. The catalytic reaction was carried out in aqueous system in the presence of phase transfer catalyst and sodium formate as hydrogen source. The catalyst with loading Pd 0.19wt% and molar ratio of Pd/Sn 8:1 gives the highest activity and good stability. This catalyst is more reducible with NaBH4. 19The Antitumor Activity and Mechanism of MCL3 in G422 Glioblastoma显示文摘Objective:Parthenolide(PTL)induces anti-tumor effects via the nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathway.MCL3,a PTL derivative,is a sesquiterpene lactone synthesized by the rearrangement and subsequent oxidation of PTL.The aim of this study was to elucidate the antitumor activity and mechanism of action of MCL3 in glioblastoma(GBM).Materials and Methods:The effects of MCL3 on G422 cell proliferation,apoptosis,invasion,and angiogenesis in vitro were measured using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay,flow cytometry,the cell invasion,and tube formation assays.The subcutaneously transplanted G422 xenograft model was used to detect the effect of MCL3 on tumor growth in vivo.Pathological changes were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining.The effects of MCL3 on NF-κB and Stat3 transcriptional activities were examined using a dual-luciferase reporter assay.Protein levels related to the NF-κB/interleukin(IL)-6/Stat3 signaling pathway were determined using western blot analysis.Results:MCL3 inhibited GBM cell proliferation,invasion,and angiogenesis in a concentration-dependent manner.Moreover,MCL3 decreased the transcriptional activities of NF-κB and Stat3.MCL3 suppressed tumor growth in the subcutaneously transplanted G422 xenograft model,while the inhibition rate was 79%in tumor weight at 40.0 mg/kg.MCL3 blocked the NF-κB/IL-6/Stat3 signaling pathway in G422 cells and tumor tissues,resulting in the downregulation of Stat3 target genes related to apoptosis,invasion,etc.,Conclusion:The results show that MCL3 might inhibit G422 GBM growth partly due to the inhibition of the NF-κB/IL-6/Stat3 signaling pathway.Qian-Qian Du Mei Tang Lu-Lu Huang Ru Zhao Chen Yan Yan Li Xian-Dao Pan 2020World Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,6,3:1
