| 1 | Effectiveness of an employment-based smoking cessation assistance program in China显示文摘Objective:The objective of this study was to adapt an evidence-based smoking cessation intervention initially developed in the United States to the Chinese context and evaluate the ef-fectiveness of this intervention in China.Method:A smoking cessation program from United States was adapted and implemented through an Employee Assistance Program(EAP)in China.The intervention consisted of recom-mending medication and psychological counseling.Local EAP counselors received training on the program and delivered the intervention to clients.Program evaluation examined the intervention's effectiveness in helping clients quit or reduce the amount of smoking and nicotine dependence.Results:Ninety-day follow-up showed that those who had completed the program were more likely to remain abstinent,or stop smoking daily and have lower levels of nicotine dependence(p<0.05)than those who had dropped out.Conclusions:The evidence-based cessation program is effective in helping Chinese smok-ers quit or reduce the amount of smoking.Moreover,implementing such programs in an EAP setting is a practical approach to providing a wider spectrum of smokers with access to cessation assistance in China. | Peizhong Li Christopher Larrison Richard Lennox Matt Mollenhauer David ASharar | 2015 | Family Medicine and Community Health2015，3，1： | 5 |
| 2 | Development and Validation of a Laboratory Aging Method for the Accelerated Simulation of Reclaimed Asphalt显示文摘The paper presented first results elaborated during the European Research Project Re-road which aims at the development of techniques for increasing the recycling rates of reclaimed asphalt. During service life surface asphalt courses are subjected to aging due to oxidation effects which causes the hardening of the binder and thereby a change in the chemical, physical and mechanical properties of the material. Surface courses often contain highly modified binders as well as special additives for improving the performance characteristics. As these layers inhibit the shortest service lives compared to other road construction layers every year high amounts of reclaimed surface asphalt are available for recycling. The question is raised how the reclaimed asphalt consisting of high quality and costly material components can be recycled for optimal added value. To analyze the asphalt mix service life performance and its recyclability during mix design a laboratory method was developed to simulate the real in-situ aging. First the effects of site aging on the binder and asphalt characteristics were presented. Three laboratory aging methods were discussed which aimed the accelerated aging which meets similar property changes as site aging. | 3 | CSF total and oligomeric α-Synuclein along with TNF-α as risk biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease: a study in LRRK2 mutation carriers显示文摘Background Asymptomatic carriers of leucine-rich repeat kinase 2(LRRK2)gene mutations constitute an ideal population for discovering prodromal biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease(PD).In this study,we aim to identify CSF candidate risk biomarkers of PD in individuals with LRRK2 mutation carriers.Methods We measured the levels of CSF total-(t-),oligomeric(o-)and phosphorylated S129(pS129-)α-syn,total-tau(tTau),phosphorylated threonine 181 tau(pTau),amyloid-beta 40(Aβ-40),amyloid-beta-42(Aβ-42)and 40 inflammatory chemokines in symptomatic(n=23)and asymptomatic(n=51)LRRK2 mutation carriers,subjects with a clinical diagnosis of PD(n=60)and age-matched healthy controls(n=34).General linear models corrected for age and gender were performed to assess differences in CSF biomarkers between the groups.Markers that varied significantly between the groups were then analyzed using backward-elimination logistic regression analysis to identify an ideal biomarkers panel of prodromal PD.Results Discriminant function analysis revealed low levels of CSF t-α-syn,high levels of CSF o-α-syn and TNF-αbest discriminated asymptomatic LRRK2 mutation carriers from both symptomatic PD and healthy controls.Assessing the discriminative power using receiver operating curve analysis,an area under the curve>0.80 was generated.Conclusions The current study suggests that CSF t-,o-α-syn and TNF-αare candidate risk biomarkers for the detection of PD at the prodromal stage.Our findings also highlight the dynamic interrelationships between CSF proteins and the importance of using a biomarkers’panel approach for an accurate and timely diagnosis of PD. | Nour K.Majbour Jan O.Aasly Eldbjørg Hustad Mercy A.Thomas Nishant N.Vaikath Naser Elkum Wilma D.Jvan de Berg Takahiko Tokuda Brit Mollenhauer Henk W.Berendse Omar M.A.El-Agnaf | 2020 | Translational Neurodegeneration2020，9，2： | 2 |
