2Safety risk management of underground engineering in China:Progress, challenges and strategies显示文摘Underground construction in China is featured by large scale, high speed, long construction period,complex operation and frustrating situations regarding project safety. Various accidents have been reported from time to time, resulting in serious social impact and huge economic loss. This paper presents the main progress in the safety risk management of underground engineering in China over the last decade, i.e.(1) establishment of laws and regulations for safety risk management of underground engineering,(2) implementation of the safety risk management plan,(3) establishment of decision support system for risk management and early-warning based on information technology, and(4) strengthening the study on safety risk management, prediction and prevention. Based on the analysis of the typical accidents in China in the last decade, the new challenges in the safety risk management for underground engineering are identified as follows:(1) control of unsafe human behaviors;(2) technological innovation in safety risk management; and(3) design of safety risk management regulations. 3ZONAL DISINTEGRATION MECHANISM OF DEEP CRACK-WEAKENED ROCK MASSES UNDER DYNAMIC UNLOADING显示文摘Size and quantity of fractured zone and non-fractured zone are controlled by cracks contained in deep rock masses.Zonal disintegration mechanism is strongly dependent on the interaction among cracks.The strong interaction among cracks is investigated using stress super-position principle and the Chebyshev polynomials expansion of the pseudo-traction.It is found from numerical results that crack nucleation,growth and coalescence lead to failure of deep crack-weakened rock masses.The stress redistribution around the surrounding rock mass induced by unloading excavation is studied.The effect of the excavation time on nucleation,growth,inter-action and coalescence of cracks was analyzed.Moreover,the inffuence of the excavation time on the size and quantity of fractured zone and non-fractured zone was given.When the excavation time is short,zonal disintegration phenomenon may occur in deep rock masses.It is shown from numerical results that the size and quantity of fractured zone increase with decreasing excavation time,and the size and quantity of fractured zone increase with the increasing value of in-situ geostress.Xiaoping Zhou Qihu Qian Bohu Zhang 2009Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2009,22,3:15

5A new method of passive ranging for underwater target:distance information extraction based on wave guide invariant显示文摘The study of wave guide invariant in underwater acoustics is one of attracted topics in recent 30 years.The interferences of direct wave and reflect wave from sea surface and sea bottom of underwater target radiated noise inherent the information of target distance.Extraction of these distance information will provide a possible new way in passive ranging for underwater target.The theoretical analysis and the results of at sea experiments show that the LOFAR(Low Frequency Analysis Record) figure inherently contains the range and moving information of passive acoustic sources,even in the situation that the receiver is only one single hydrophone.The theoretical analysis of extraction of target distance information by using wave guide invariant is presented in this paper.It is shown that,based on the interference striation pattern of target,the hydrophone array system is possible to extract the distance information with quite high array gain.Although the mathematical constrain conditions in forming interference striation pattern are different for individual array element,but it is proved that the differences of time delays between array elements can be used in compensation of beamforming.The theoretical analysis,system simulation and some results of at sea experiment show a new way in passive ranging and target recognition.LI Qihu 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,2:9

7Quantitative analysis of rockburst for surrounding rocks and zonal disintegration mechanism in deep tunnels显示文摘Rock masses without pre-existing macrocracks can usually be considered as granular materials with only microcracks.During the excavation of the tunnels,microcracks may nucleate,grow and propagate through the rock matrix;secondary microcracks may appear,and discontinuous and incompatible deformation of rock masses may occur.The classical continuum elastoplastic theory is not suitable for analyzing discontinuous and incompatible deformation of rock masses.Based on non-Euclidean model of the discontinuous and incompatible deformation of rock masses,the distribution of stresses in the surrounding rock masses in deep tunnels is fluctuant or wave-like.The stress concentration at the tips of microcracks located in vicinity of stress wave crest is comparatively large,which may lead to the unstable growth and coalescence of secondary microcracks,and consequently the occurrence of fractured zones.On the other hand,the stress concentration at the tips of microcracks located around stress wave trough is relatively small,which may lead to the arrest of microcracks,and thus the non-fractured zones.The alternate appearance of stress wave crest and trough thus may induce the alternate occurrence of fractured and non-fractured zones in deep rock masses.For brittle rocks,the dissipated energy of microcrack growth is small,but the elastic strain energy stored in rock masses may be larger than the dissipated energy growths of pre-existing microcracks and secondary microcracks.The sudden release of the residual elastic strain energy may lead to rockburst.Based on this understanding,the criteria of rockburst are established.Furthermore,the relationship between rockbursts and zonal disintegration in the surrounding rock masses around deep tunnels is studied.The influences of the in-situ stresses and the physico-mechanical parameters on the distribution of rockburst zones and the ejection velocity of rock fragments are investigated in detail.Qihu Qian1,Xiaoping Zhou2 1 Engineering Institute of Engineering Corps,PLA University of Science and Technology,Nanjing,210007,China 2 School of Civil Engineering,Chongqing University,Chongqing,400045,China 2011Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2011,3,1:6
8Dynamic strength of rocks and physical nature of rock strength显示文摘Time-dependence of rock deformation and fracturing is often ignored.However,the consideration of the time-dependence is essential to the study of the deformation and fracturing processes of materials,especially for those subject to strong dynamic loadings.In this paper,we investigate the deformation and fracturing of rocks,its physical origin at the microscopic scale,as well as the mechanisms of the time-dependence of rock strength.Using the thermo-activated and macro-viscous mechanisms,we explained the sensitivity of rock strength to strain rate.These mechanisms dominate the rock strength in different ranges of strain rates.It is also shown that a strain-rate dependent Mohr-Coulomb-type constitutive relationship can be used to describe the influence of strain rate on dynamic rock fragmentation.A relationship between the particle sizes of fractured rocks and the strain rate is also proposed.Several time-dependent fracture criteria are discussed,and their intrinsic relations are discussed.Finally,the application of dynamic strength theories is discussed.Qihu Qian Chengzhi Qi Mingyang Wang 2009Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2009,1,1:5
9Towed line array sonar platform noise suppression based on spatial matrix filtering technology显示文摘The spatial matrix filter was designed and used for solving the problem to detect a weak target who was influenced by the strong nearby platform noise interference of the towed Une array sonar.The MFP technology and the DOA estimation technology were combined together by using the sound propagation characteristics of both target and interference.The spatial matrix filter with platform noise zero response constraint was designed by the near-field platform noise normal modes copy vectors and the far-field plane wave bearing vectors together.The optimal solution of the optimization problem for designing the spatial matrix filter was deduced directly,and it was simplified by the generalized singular value decomposition.The total response error to the plane wave bearing vectors and the total response to the platform noise copy vectors were given.The phenomena that strong interferences existed in the bearing course and blind areas existed after filtering were analyzed by the correlation between the platform noise copy vectors and the plane wave bearing vectors.It could be found from simulations that it has less blind area and higher detection ability by using the spatial matrix filtering technology.HAN Dong LI Jian KANG Chunyu HUANG Haining LI Qihu 2013Chinese Journal of Acoustics2013,32,4:5

11Experimental investigation of rigid confinement effects of radial strain on dynamic mechanical properties and failure modes of concrete显示文摘In this study,to confirm the effect of confining pressure on dynamic mechanical behavior and failure modes of concrete,a split Hopkinson pressure bar dynamic loading device was utilized to perform dynamic compressive experiments under confined and unconfined conditions.The confining pressure was achieved by applying a lateral metal sleeve on the testing specimen which was loaded in the axial direction.The experimental results prove that dynamic peak axial stress,dynamic peak lateral stress,and peak axial strain of concrete are strongly sensitive to the strain rate under confined conditions.Moreover,the failure patterns are significantly affected by the stress-loading rate and confining pressure.Concrete shows stronger strain rate effects under an unconfined condition than that under a confined condition.More cracks are created in concrete subjected to uniaxial dynamic compression at a higher strain rate,which can be explained by a thermal-activated mechanism.By contrast,crack generation is prevented by confinement.Fitting formulas of the dynamic peak stress and dynamic peak axial strain are established by considering strain rate effects(50–250 s-1)as well as the dynamic confining increase factor(DIFc).Pengfei Liu Xiaoping Zhou Qihu Qian 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,5:4

13THE CONSTITUTIVE RELATION OF CRACK-WEAKENED ROCK MASSES UNDER AXIAL-DIMENSIONAL UNLOADING显示文摘An accurate and effcient numerical method for solving the crack-crack interaction problem is presented. The method is mainly by means of the dislocation model, stress superposition principle and Chebyshev polynomial expansion of the pseudo-traction. This method can be applied to compute the stress intensity factors of multiple kinked cracks and multiple rows of periodic cracks as well as the overall strains of rock masses containing multiple kinked cracks under complex loads. Many complex computational examples are given. The dependence of the crack-crack interaction on the crack configuration, the geometrical and physical parameters, and loads pattern, is investigated. By comparison with numerical results under confining pressure unloading, it is shown that the crack-crack interaction under axial-dimensional unloading is weaker than those under confining pressure unloading. Numerical results for single faults and crossed faults show that the single faults are more unstable than the crossed faults. 14STABILITY ANALYSIS OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL LANDSLIDES SUBJECTED TO SEISMIC LOADS显示文摘In the past, the pseudo-static method used to be the most common for evaluating the stability of landslides under seismic loads, in which static forces acting on the center of gravity of a sliding body are used to consider the effects of earthquake. However, seismic loads of rock and soil differ from time and location to time and location. Obviously, it is irrational for the pseudo-static approach to be applied to solving dynamic problems. In this paper, a displacementpseudo-dynamic model is proposed to assess seismic stability of landslides, in which the sinusoidalcosinusoidal wave is applied to simulating earthquake displacement, and an 'amplification factor'of peak seismic displacement is referred to as the amplification of seismic wave when it propagates from the bottom to the top of the landslide. The effects of physico-mechanical behaviors of a sliding body on seismic stability of soil slopes are taken into account as well as inertia forces and damping forces. The sensitivity analyses on the permanent displacement and the dynamic factor of safety of landslides are studied in detail. 15Multipath structure of the typical under-ice sound channel in the Arctic:theory and experiment显示文摘Considering the typical acoustic environment of the Arctic, this paper proposes a method based on OASES-Bellhop coupled model to rapidly analyze the multipath structure of the under-ice sound channel. Firstly the proposed model refers to ice plate as stratified elastic media with some roughness. Secondly,it uses the perturbation method and Kirchhoff approximation theory to solve the scattering loss due to the sea ice inhomogeneity. Finally, the model predicts the multipath structure of the under-ice channel through Ray theory. The results of the numerical simulation and experiment indicate that the typical Arctic sound channel presents multipath structures due to the sea ice and seabed in the range of 6 km, respectively.The sea ice reflection paths are stable,with a short multipath spread within 14 ms. The seabed reflection paths have relatively weak strength. 17THE EFFECTS OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL PENNY-SHAPED CRACKS ON ZONAL DISINTEGRATION OF THE SURROUNDING ROCK MASSES AROUND A DEEP CIRCULAR TUNNEL显示文摘In this study, it was assumed that three-dimensional penny-shaped cracks existed in deep rock masses. A new non-Euclidean model was established, in which the effects of pennyshaped cracks and axial in-situ stress on zonal disintegration of deep rock masses were taken into account. Based on the non-Euclidean model, the stress intensity factors at tips of the pennyshaped cracks were determined. The strain energy density factor was applied to investigate the occurrence of fractured zones. It was observed from the numerical results that the magnitude and location of fractured zones were sensitive to micro- and macro-mechanical parameters, as well as the value of in-situ stress. 18Iterative inverse beamforming algorithm and its application in multiple targets detection of passive sonar显示文摘With the increasing of detection ability of passive sonar,the weak signal detection problem in multiple interferences becomes more and more important.In the time/bearing record(TBR) display of sonar detection,when there exist traces of multiple interferences,the identification of weak signal is difficult or impossible.The adaptive noise cancellation technique provides the theoretical basis for suppressing strong interferences.But the solution for finding the steady-state optimum filter matrix is quite difficult due to the real time calculation of inverse matrix of input data correlation matrix.The iterative inverse beamforming(IBF) algorithm for solving the optimum filter vector,which is expressed by inverse matrix of the ocean environment data,is derived in this paper,by which,the optimum filter can be eventually expressed as a sum of series simple matrices of constructed from sensor data.Based on the algorithm proposed in this paper,some examples of at sea experiment are provided.The strong interferences are cancelled and the weak signal is emerged,even it didn't appear in the conventional beamforming(CBF) processing.LI Qihu WEI Chonghua XUE Shanhua 2017Chinese Journal of Acoustics2017,36,2:2
