| 1 | Growth-associated protein 43 and neural cell adhesion molecule expression following bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell transplantation in a rat model of ischemic brain injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Transplantation of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs) improves motor functional recovery,but the mechanisms remain unclear.OBJECTIVE:To investigate expression of growth-associated protein 43(GAP-43) and neural cell adhesion molecule following BMSC transplantation to the lateral ventricle in rats with acute focal cerebral ischemic brain damage.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment using immunohistochemistry was performed at the laboratories of Department of Neurology,Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University and Doctoral Scientific Research Work Station of C-BONS PHARMA,Hubei Province,China,from January 2007 to December 2008.MATERIALS:Monoclonal mouse anti-rat 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine and neural cell adhesion molecule antibodies were purchased from Sigma,USA;monoclonal mouse anti-rat GAP-43 antibody was purchased from Wuhan Boster,China.METHODS:Rat models of right middle cerebral artery occlusion were established using the thread method.At 1 day after middle cerebral artery occlusion,20 μL culture solution,containing 5 × 105 BMSCs,was transplanted to the left lateral ventricle using micro-injection.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Scores of neurological impairment were measured to assess neural function.Expression of GAP-43 and neural cell adhesion molecule at the lesion areas was examined by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:GAP-43 and neural cell adhesion molecule expression was low in brain tissues of the sham-operated group,but expression increased at the ischemic boundary(P < 0.05).Transplantation of BMSCs further enhanced expression of GAP-43 and neural cell adhesion molecule(P < 0.05) and remarkably improved neurological impairment of ischemic rats(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:BMSC transplantation promoted neurological recovery in rats by upregulating expression of GAP-43 and neural cell adhesion molecule. | Yu Peng Qimei Zhang Hui You Weihua Zhuang Ying Zhang Chengyan Li | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,13: | 18 |
| 2 | Genome-wide Dissection of Co-selected UV-B Responsive Pathways in the UV-B Adaptation of Qingke显示文摘Qingke (Tibetan hulless barley) has long been cultivated and exposed to long-term and strong UV-B radiation on the Tibetan Plateau, which renders it an ideal species for elucidating novel UV-B responsive mechanisms in plants. Here we report a comprehensive metabolite profiling and metabolite-based genome-wide association study (mGWAS) using 196 diverse qingke and barley accessions. Our results demonstrated both constitutive and induced accumulation, and common genetic regulation, of metabolites from different branches of the phenylpropanoid pathway that are involved in UV-B protection. A total of 90 significant mGWAS loci for these metabolites were identified in barley-qingke differentiation regions, and a number of high-level metabolite trait alleles were found to be significantly enriched in qingke, suggesting co-selection of various phenylpropanoids. Upon dissecting the entire phenylpropanoid pathway, we identified some key determinants controlling natural variation of phenylpropanoid content, including three novel proteins, a flavone C-pentosyltransferase, a tyramine hydroxycinnamoyl acyltransferase, and a MYB transcription factor. | 4 | Compressed sensing based channel estimation used in non-sample-spaced multipath channels of OFDM system显示文摘By virtue of an increase in spectral efficiency by reducing the transmitted pilot tones, the compressed sensing(CS) has been widely applied to pilot-aided sparse channel estimation in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems. The researches usually assume that the channel is strictly sparse and formulate the channel estimation as a standard compressed sensing problem. However, such strictly sparse assumption does not hold true in non-sample-spaced multiple channels. The authors in this article proposed a new method of compressed sensing based channel estimation in which an over-complete dictionary with a finer delay grid is applied to construct a sparse representation of the non-sample-spaced multipath channels. With the proposed, the channel estimation was formulated as the model-based CS problem and a modified model-based compressed sampling matching pursuit(Co Sa MP) algorithm was applied to reconstruct the discrete-time channel impulse response(CIR). | 5 | Cross-Layer Framework for Capacity Analysis in Multiuser Ultra-Dense Networks with Cell DTx显示文摘Cell discontinuous transmission(Cell DTx)is a key technology to mitigate inter-cell interference(ICI)in ultra-dense networks(UDNs).The aim of this work is to understand the impact of Cell DTx on physical-layer sum rates of SBSs and link-layer quality-of-service(QoS)performance in multiuser UDNs.In this work,we develop a cross-layer framework for capacity analysis in multiuser UDNs with Cell DTx.In particular,we first extend the traditional one-dimensional effective capacity model to a new multidimensional effective capacity model to derive the sum rate and the effective capacity.Moreover,we propose a new iterative bisection search algorithm that is capable of approximating QoS performance.The convergence of this new algorithm to a unique QoS exponent vector is later proved.Finally,we apply this framework to the round-robin and the max-C/I scheduling policies.Simulation results show that our framework is accurate in approximating 1)queue length distribution,2)delay distribution and 3)sum rates under the above two scheduling policies,and further show that with the Cell DTx,systems have approximately 30% higher sum rate and 35% smaller average delay than those in full-buffer scenarios. | Qing Li Yu Chen Qimei Cui Yu Gu Guoqiang Mao | 2019 | China Communications2019,16,9: | 4 |
| 6 | Energy-aware deployment of dense heterogeneous cellular networks with QoS constraints显示文摘The base station(BS) configuration is a key factor to improve energy efficiency(EE). In this paper,we focus on designing the network deployment parameters(i.e., BS densities) for biased K-tier heterogeneous cellular network(HCN) with quality of service(Qo S) provisioning. Using appropriate approximations, we derive the closed-form expressions of optimal BS density across all tiers to minimize the area power consumption(APC) by applying the stochastic geometry theory, while satisfying the users' Qo S requirements. These results are used to obtain some new insights into the EE performance of biased HCN deployment. With the aid of this approach, the best type of BSs to be deployed or switched off for energy saving purposes can be identified from the perspectives of BS transmission power. More precisely, if the BS transmission power ratio between an arbitrary pair of tiers of K-tier HCN, e.g., the small cell BS and macro BS tiers, is higher than a threshold which is a function of path loss exponent, bias factor and power consumption, the small cell BSs are preferred.The opposite situation takes place otherwise. | 14 | A Precise Information Extraction Algorithm for Lane Lines显示文摘Lane line detection is a fundamental step in applications like autonomous driving and intelligent traffic monitoring. Emerging applications today have higher requirements for accurate lane detection. In this paper, we present a precise information extraction algorithm for lane lines. Specifically, with Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM), we solved the issue of lane line occlusion in multi-lane scenes. Then, Progressive Probabilistic Hough Transform(PPHT) was used for line segments detection. After K-Means clustering for line segments classification, we solved the problem of extracting precise information that includes left and right edges as well as endpoints of each lane line based on geometric characteristics. Finally, we fitted these solid and dashed lane lines respectively. | 18 | Optimal power allocation for homogeneous and heterogeneous CA-MIMO systems显示文摘Carrier aggregation (CA) technique has been adopted by 3GPP LTE-Advanced due to its ability of enhancing the spectrum efficiency and peak data rates through aggregating multiple component carriers (CCs). Two main factors make power control optimization very essential for CA-MIMO radio link: the different channel characteristics in multiple CCs, and multiple power constraint conditions (per-CC, per-antenna and pertransmitter power constraints) in the actual CA system deployment. This paper firstly derives the degenerate conditions of optimal power allocation for a single-transmitter CA-MIMO system. Stemming from the derived degenerate conditions, we propose a modified hybrid gradient optimal power allocation(MHGOPA) algorithm to maximize the system performance.
