| 1 | An Investigation of Landslide Susceptibility Using Logistic Regression and Statistical Index Methods in Dailekh District, Nepal显示文摘Landslide distribution and susceptibility mapping are the fundamental steps for landslide-related hazard and disaster risk management activities, especially in the Himalaya region which has resulted in a great deal of death and damage to property. To better understand the landslide condition in the Nepal Himalaya, we carried out an investigation on the landslide distribution and susceptibility using the landslide inventory data and 12 different contributing factors in the Dailekh district, Western Nepal. Based on the evaluation of the frequency distribution of the landslide, the relationship between the landslide and the various contributing factors was determined. Then, the landslide susceptibility was calculated using logistic regression and statistical index methods along with different topographic(slope, aspect, relative relief, plan curvature, altitude, topographic wetness index) and non-topographic factors(distance from river, normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI), distance from road, precipitation, land use and land cover, and geology), and 470(70%) of total 658 landslides. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis using 198(30%) of total landslides showed that the prediction curve rates(area under the curve, AUC) values for two methods(logistic regression and statistical index) were 0.826, and 0.823with success rates of 0.793, and 0.811, respectively. The values of R-Index for the logistic regression and statistical index methods were83.66 and 88.54, respectively, consisting of high susceptible hazard classes. In general, this research concluded that the cohesive and coherent natural interplay of topographic and non-topographic factors strongly affects landslide occurrence, distribution, and susceptibility condition in the Nepal Himalaya region. Furthermore, the reliability of these two methods is verified for landslide susceptibility mapping in Nepal’s central mountain region. | DIL Kumar RAI XIONG Donghong ZHAO Wei ZHAO Dongmei ZHANG Baojun NIRMAL Mani DAHAL WU Yanhong MUHAMMAD Aslam BAIG | 2022 | Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,5: | 2 |
| 2 | Frequency and risk factors of low immunoglobulin levels in patients with inflammatory bowel disease显示文摘Background and aims:Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBD)are considered to be dysregulated,immune-mediated disorders;and immunosuppressive medications are the mainstay of their treatment.Clinically,we have often observed low serum immunoglobulin(Ig)levels in these patients. The aim of this study was to assess the frequency and risk factors of secondary humoral immunodeficiency in IBD patients. Methods:We conducted a cross-sectional study of eligible IBD patients with Crohn’s disease(CD),ulcerative colitis(UC),indeterminate colitis(IC)or restorative proctocolectomy with ileal pouch, who having serum Ig measured.Demographic and clinical variables were measured.Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed. Results:A total of 324 patients was included, with a mean age of 38.8 years and 158(48.8%)being male.Low IgG,IgG1,IgA,and IgM were found in 22.7%,23.4%,7.9%,and 10.9%of patients, respectively. The shared risk factors for a low IgG or IgM level were increasing age[odds ratio(OR)=1.13;95%confidence interval(CI)1.03–1.23 for low IgG level and OR=1.33;95%CI 1.15–1.56 for low IgM level]and hypoalbuminemia(OR=1.83;95%CI 1.01–3.33 for low IgG level and OR=3.17;95%CI 1.23–8.15 for low IgM level). In addition, thioprine use was associated with low IgA level(OR=2.76;95%CI 1.03–7.39).IBD disease duration was a risk factor for low IgG1 level(OR=1.40;95%CI 1.12–1.76).The presence of concurrent primary sclerosing cholangitis(OR=0.064;95%CI 0.007–0.60)and the use of biologics(OR=0.16;95%CI 0.033–0.79)were associated with normal IgG1 level.IgG level was lower in CD patients than that in UC/IC and ileal pouch patients(P=0.042).IgG and IgA levels were elevated in patients with inflammatory conditions of the pouch(P=0.01;P=0.003,respectively).Conclusions:Low Ig level appears to be common in IBD patients.Increasing age, disease duration and hypoalbuminemia appeared to be risk factors. The findings may provide rationale for targeted therapy to boost humoral immunity in selected patients with IBD. | Tarun Rai Xianrui Wu Bo Shen | 2015 | Gastroenterology Report2015,3,2: | 2 |

| 13 | Enhanced Multi-Objective Grey Wolf Optimizer with Lévy Flight and Mutation Operators for Feature Selection显示文摘The process of selecting features or reducing dimensionality can be viewed as a multi-objective minimization problem in which both the number of features and error rate must be minimized. While it is a multi-objective problem, current methods tend to treat feature selection as a single-objective optimization task. This paper presents enhanced multi-objective grey wolf optimizer with Lévy flight and mutation phase(LMuMOGWO)for tackling feature selection problems. The proposed approach integrates two effective operators into the existing Multi-objective Grey Wolf optimizer(MOGWO):a Lévy flight and a mutation operator. The Lévy flight,a type of random walk with jump size determined by the Lévy distribution, enhances the global search capability of MOGWO,with the objective of maximizing classification accuracy while minimizing the number of selected features. The mutation operator is integrated to add more informative features that can assist in enhancing classification accuracy. As feature selection is a binary problem, the continuous search space is converted into a binary space using the sigmoid function. To evaluate the classification performance of the selected feature subset, the proposed approach employs a wrapper-based Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The effectiveness of the LMuMOGWO is validated on 12 conventional UCI benchmark datasets and compared with two existing variants of MOGWO,BMOGWO-S(based sigmoid),BMOGWO-V(based tanh)as well as Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II)and Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization(BMOPSO).The results demonstrate that the proposed LMuMOGWO approach is capable of successfully evolving and improving a set of randomly generated solutions for a given optimization problem. Moreover, the proposed approach outperforms existing approaches in most cases in terms of classification error rate, feature reduction, and computational cost. | Qasem Al-Tashi Tareq M Shami Said Jadid Abdulkadir Emelia Akashah Patah Akhir Ayed Alwadain Hitham Alhussain Alawi Alqushaibi Helmi MD Rais Amgad Muneer Maliazurina B.Saad Jia Wu Seyedali Mirjalili | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,47,11: | 0 |
