1Layered double hydroxide coatings on magnesium alloys: A review显示文摘Layered double hydroxides(LDHs) as a class of anionic clays have extensive applications due to their unique structures. Nowadays, the emphasis is laid on the development of LDH coatings for corrosion resistance and medical applications. 2Fabrication of the Superhydrophobic Surface on Magnesium Alloy and Its Corrosion Resistance显示文摘The superhydrophobic surface was fabricated on the AZ31 alloy by the combination of the hydrothermal treatment method and post modification with stearic acid. The superhydrophobic surface showed a static water contact angle of 157.6°. The characteristics of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). The corrosion resistance of the superhydrophobic coatings was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS). 3Improvement of the matrix and the interface quality of a Cu/Al composite by the MARB process显示文摘The matrix accumulative roll bonding technology (MARB) can improve the matrix performance of metal com- posite and strengthen the bonding quality of the interface. In this research, for the first time, the technology of MARB was proposed. A sound Cu/Al bonding composite was obtained using the MARB process and the bonding characteristic of the interface was studied using scanning electricity microscope (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The result indicated that accumulation cycles and diffusion annealing temperature were the most important factors for fabricating a Cu/Al composite material. 4Self-Assembled Silane Film and Silver Nanoparticles Coating on Magnesium Alloys for Corrosion Resistance and Antibacterial Applications显示文摘Contamination resulting from microbial adhesion on magnesium alloys is very common in many applications.Self-assembly technology was employed to prepare an antibacterial composite coating by fixing silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)onto the surface of magnesium alloys.The AgNPs were immobilized on the surface of3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane(APTMS)-modified magnesium alloy AZ31(APTMS/Mg)through electrostatic inter-attraction between partially protonated amino groups and negatively charged citrate-capped AgNPs,resulting in the AgNPs attached APTMS/Mg(AgNPs/APTMS/Mg)substrate.The prepared Ag colloid and functionalized AZ31 alloy were characterized by ultraviolet-visible(UV-vis)spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and electrochemical methods.Finally,the bactericidal activity of AgNPs/APTMS/Mg substrate against Escherichia coli was assessed by the inhibition zone.The results demonstrated that Si-O-Si covalent bonds existed on the substrate with the formation of inorganic Si-O-Mg bonds.AgNPs were immobilized and well-dispersed,forming a uniform submonolayer on the silane film in two dimensions.The AgNPs/APTMS-pretreated AZ31 alloys exhibited better corrosion resistance and excellent antibacterial performance.Rongchang ZENG Lijun LIU Shuoqi LI Yuhong ZOU Fen ZHANG Yanan YANG Hongzhi CUI En-hou HAN 2013Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2013,26,6:8

6Influence of silane on corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy AZ31 with thermally sprayed aluminum coatings显示文摘Aluminum coatings on Mg alloy AZ31 were fabricated using the thermal spraying technique, and then sealed with silane.The surface morphology and chemical groups were discerned using scanning electron microscopy and examined using Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy, respectively.The salt fog tests and the potentiodynamic electrochemical technique were applied to evaluate the influence of silane on corrosion of the AZ31 alloy with aluminum coatings.The results showed that the corrosion resistance of the aluminum-coated AZ31 alloy was superior to that of the substrate.The aluminum coating sealed with various silane layers led to a further increase in the corrosion resistance of the alloy.Double silane layers were more corrosion-resistant than the single one.Also, it was no longer significant for more than two silane layers to improve the corrosion resistance.It implied that the optimum choice for silane treatment on the aluminum coatings was two layers.ZENG Rongchang CHEN Jun KUANG Jun ZHANG Jin WANG Ying 2010Rare Metals2010,29,2:7
7In vitro and in vivo biodegradation and biocompatibility of an MMT/BSA composite coating upon magnesium alloy AZ31显示文摘The performance of biodegradable magnesium alloy requires special attention to rapid degradation and poor biocompatibility, which can cause the implant to fail. Here, a sodium montmorillonite(MMT)/bovine serum albumin(BSA) composite coating was prepared upon magnesium alloy AZ31 via hydrothermal synthesis, followed by dip coating. We evaluated the surface characterization and corrosion behavior in vitro, and the biocompatibility in vitro and in vivo. Biodegradation progress of the MMT-BSA coated Mg pieces was examined through hydrogen evolution, immersion tests, and electrochemical measurements in Hank’s solution. In vitro biocompatibility studies were evaluated via hemolysis tests, dynamic cruor time tests, platelet adhesion, MTT testing and live-dead stain of osteoblast cells(MC3 T3-E1). It was found that the MMT-BSA coating had good corrosion resistance and a marked improvement in biocompatibility in comparison to bare Mg alloy AZ31. in vivo studies were carried out in rat model and the degradation was characterized by computed tomography scans. Results revealed that the MMT-BSA coated Mg alloy AZ31 implants maintained their structural integrity and slight degradation after 120 d of post-implantation. A100% survival rate for the rats was observed with no obvious toxic damages on the organs and tissues.Additionally, we proposed a sound coating formation mechanism. 8Study on membrane fouling of submerged membrane bioreactor in treating bathing wastewater显示文摘A pilot-scale submerged membrane bioreactor (MBR) was used to treat the bathing wastewater for more than 90 d. Several factors affecting membrane fouling were studied, including the variation in transmembrane pressure (TMP), changes in extracellular polymeric substance (EPS), and distribution of membrane resistance (R). The relationships between R and EPS concentration were found to be R = 0.00008(EPSS)2.915 in the mixed liquor (EPSS) and R = 0.2853(EPSm) - 0.824 on the membrane surface (EPSm). The constant resistance of the clean membrane (Rm), the resistance due to concentration polarization (Rp), the cake layer resistance (Rc), and the resistance due to pore blocking (Ri), were 0.006%, 20.15%, 54.13%, and 25.72% of R, respectively. The results indicated that Rc had the greatest contribution to the total membrane resistance. The obtained membrane resistance model was R(t) = 4.609 × 108(1 + 0.01t)0.5. Molecular-based methods (polymerase chain reaction-denaturing gel gradient electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) and ?uorescent in situ hybridization (FISH)) were used to study the bacteria attached on the membrane. 9Effects of lanthanide ions on hydrolysis of phosphatidylin-ositol in human erythrocyte membranes显示文摘The effects of lanthanides on the hydrolysis of phosphatidylinositol in human erythrocyte membranes were studied. 3H-inositoI labeling chromatography and HPLC were used to determine inositol 1, 4, 5-triphosphatc and dia-cylglycerol separately, the hydrolytic products of phosphatidylinositol due to the reaction of lanthanide ions with human erythrocyte membranes. The unhydrolyzed phosphatidylinositol in membranes was also determined. 10Effects of dietary ratio of n-6 to n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on immunoglobulins, cytokines, fatty acid composition, and performance of lactating sows and suckling piglets显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary ratios of n-6:n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) on the performance of lactating sows and their piglets. Thirty pregnant Landrace sows were assigned to one of three treatments from d 108 of gestation until weaning (26-29 d) and were fed diets containing different ratios of n-6:n-3 PUFA including 3:1, 9:1 and 13:1. The effects on sow and litter production traits were examined together with an assessment of sow body condition. No differences were detected among the treatments for the daily feed intake of sows or changes in sow weight and back-fat levels during lactation (P > 0.05). Litter size at d 14 and d 21 were tended to increase in 3:1 treatment compared with 9:1 and 13:1 treatments (P < 0.10). Litter weight gain (1.77 kg/d) from d 0 to d 14 was tended to increase in 9:1 groups compared with the other two treatments (P < 0.10). A significant difference was observed for the content of α -linolenic acid, total n-3 PUFA, and the ratio of n-6:n-3 PUFA in the colostrum, milk, and piglets plasma (P < 0.01). The effects of different ratios of n-6:n-3 PUFA in sow diets on colostrum, milk, and piglet plasma immunoglobulin concentrations are studied. No difference was observed among treatments in the concentrations of IgM, and IgA in colostrum (P > 0.05). A great significant difference for IgG concentration was observed among 3 group in colostrum. A great significant difference for IgA, and IgM (P < 0.01) concentrations in piglet plasma at d14 and a significant difference for IgG(P < 0.05) was observed at d14. Furthermore, at d 21 of lactation, piglet plasma IgG and IgA concentration were greater in 3:1 compared with 13:1 group (P < 0.01). 11In vitro corrosion of Mg–1.21Li–1.12Ca–1Y alloy显示文摘The influence of the microstructure on mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of the Mg–1.21Li–1.12Ca–1Y alloy was investigated using OM, SEM, XRD, EPMA, EDS, tensile tests and corrosion measurements. The results demonstrated that the microstructure of the Mg–1.21Li–1.12Ca–1Y alloy was characterized by α-Mg substrate and intermetallic compounds Mg2 Ca and Mg24Y5. Most of the fine Mg2 Ca particles for the as-cast alloy were distributed along the grain boundaries, while for the as-extruded along the extrusion direction. The Mg24Y5 particles with a larger size than the Mg2 Ca particles were positioned inside the grains. The mechanical properties of Mg–1.21Li–1.12Ca–1Y alloy were improved by the grain refinement and dispersion strengthening. 12Corrosion Behavior of Commercial Magnetic Refrigerant Gadolinium in Water显示文摘Gadolinium(Gd) used as magnetic refrigerant always works in water environment.However, its poor corrosion resistance is serious impediment against wider application of Gd.In this paper, the corrosion behavior of two types of commercial Gd ( A, B both are 98.9 at.% pure) with the same oxygen content has been studied.The results show that the corrosion rate of A is 3.226 times higher than that of B in deionized water and 6.039 times in tap water.According to SEM, the different corrosion rate is because of the different distribution of impurity in matrix.In addition,NaOH solution was chosen as inhibitor to prevent Gd from being corroded successfully.No pitting corrosion and weight loss were observed for commercial Gd even after immersion for nearly 2000 h in NaOH solution.Zhang Zeyu Long Yi Wen Da Ye Rongchang Wan Farong 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,z1:4

15Simulation analysis of municipal solid waste pyrolysis and gasification based on Aspen plus显示文摘To predict and analyze the municipal solid waste(MSW)pyrolysis and gasification process in an updraft fixed bed more veritably and appropriately,numerical modeling based on Gibbs energy minimization was executed using the Aspen plus software.The RYield module was combined with the RGibbs module to describe the pyrolysis section,while the RGibbs module was used for the gasification section individually.The proposed model was used to forecast and analyze the target performance parameters including syngas composition,lower heating value(LHV)and carbon conversion rate under different conditions of the gasification temperatures,and ratios and types of gasifying agents.The results indicate that there is a good agreement between the experimental data and the simulated data obtained using this model.The predicted optimum gasification temperature is approximately 750°C,and the best ratio of water vapor as gasifying agent is around 0.4.The mixture of flue gas and water vapor has an economical and recycled prospect among four commonly used gasifying agents.Na DENG Dongyan LI Qiang ZHANG Awen ZHANG Rongchang CAI Biting ZHANG 2019Frontiers in Energy2019,13,1:3

17Formation of domain structure of erythrocyte membrane in Wistar rat fed with CeCl_3per os显示文摘To explore the possibility of absorption of lanthanides via digestive duct and their effects on one membrane structure and permeability of erythrocytes, the fine structure of erythrocyte membrane from Wistar rats, fed for 70 days of daily administration per os with 20 mg CeCl3/kg weight, was imaged by means of atomic force microscopy and FT-IR deconvolution spectra. The results show that, although the erythrocytes maintain the intact shape, the change OT secondary structure, aggregation and crosslinking of the protein particles of membrane surface and the enlarged lipid regions lead to the domain structure formation. 18Recyclable bifunctional aluminum salen catalyst for CO2 fixation:the efficient formation of five-membered heterocyclic compounds显示文摘A variety of unique Al(salen) complexes functionalized by imidazolium-based ionic liquid(IL) moieties with the salen ligand at the two sides of 3,3′-position have been successfully prepared, rather than familiar 5,5′-position reported previously.The catalytic activity obtained by these bifunctional catalysts could be superior to those of the binary type catalysts in the formation of five-membered heterocyclic compounds from the cycloaddition reaction of CO_2 and three-membered heterocyclic compounds(including terminal epoxides and N-substituted aziridines), presumably due to the distinguished intramolecularly synergistic catalysis, which might lead to perform the cycloaddition reaction at ambient conditions and retain excellent yield and unprecedented chemo-or regioselectivity. Moreover, the polyether-based trifunctional Al(salen) catalysts with the best catalytic performance could be regenerated and reused at least eight times without any obvious decreases in catalytic activity. 19A Neuro-Fuzzy Crime Prediction Model Based on Video Analysis显示文摘A hybrid neuro-fuzzy model for predicting crime in a wide area such as a town or district in presented.The model is built using what we describe as crime indicator events extracted from simulated wide area surveillance network. The framework principally involves two phases,namely video analysis and crime modeling phases. In video analysis a concept based approach for video event detection is used to detect crime indicator events. Based on the extracted indicators with other related variables, a fuzzy inference system capable of learning is constructed in the second phase. The model is constructed using Violent scene detection(VSD) 2014 dataset and testing is done using UCR-Videoweb dataset.
