| 1 | Topology Structure Synthesis and Analysis of Spatial Pyramid Deployable Truss Structures for Satellite SAR Antenna显示文摘Many attentions for structural synthesis are paid to planar linkages and parallel mechanisms, while design novel pyramid deployable truss structure(PDTS) of satellite SAR mainly depends on experience of designer. To design novel configuration of PDTS, a two-step topology structure synthesis and analysis approach is proposed. Firstly, a conceptual configuration of PDTS is synthesized. Weighted graph and weighted adjacency matrix are established to realize topological description for PDTS. Graph properties are then summarized to distinguish differentia between PDTS and other type structures. According to graph properties, a procedure for synthesis conceptual configuration of PDTS is presented. Secondly, join relationship of components in a PDTS is analyzed. Kinematic chain and corresponding incidence/adjacency matrix are employed to analyze join relationship of PDTS. Properties and simplified rules of kinematic chain are extracted to construct kinematic chain. A procedure for construction kinematic chain of PDTS is then established. Finally, with this two-step approach all 11 rectangular pyramid deployable structures whose folded state is planar are discovered and their kinematic chains are constructed. Based on synthesis results, a novel deployable support structure for satellite SAR is designed. | 2 | Safety evaluation of Dagangshan arch dam resisting strong earthquakes with a rate-dependency anisotropic damage model显示文摘This paper presents a model to simulate the safe behavior of Dagangshan arch dam with a rate-dependency anisotropic damage model. This model considers the damage of asymmetry and anisotropy under cyclic loading of tension and compression, and it is used in the compiled finite element code. The material parameters used in the model can be identified from uniaxial static and dynamic experiments. Thereafter, it is used for analyzing damage and failure patterns of the dam subjected to water pressure and strong earthquakes. The numerical results show that it is necessary to consider both asymmetry between tension and compression and anisotropy of damage. Severe damage regions of the dam reveal brittle and risky positions clearly. Meanwhile damage patterns show the failure trend and safety behaviors of the dam. These results match well with that of the experiments carried out in DUT. The proposed model may be used to predict the damage patterns and potential failure modes of concrete structures like the dam. | 3 | Optimizing the Qusai-static Folding and Deploying of Thin-Walled Tube Flexure Hinges with Double Slots显示文摘The thin-walled tube flexure(TWTF) hinges have important potential application value in the deployment mechanisms of satellite and solar array, but the optimal design of the TWTF hinges haven't been completely solved, which restricts their applications. An optimal design method for the qusai-static folding and deploying of TWTF hinges with double slots is presented based on the response surface theory. Firstly, the full factorial method is employed to design of the experiments. Then, the finite element models of the TWTF hinges with double slots are constructed to simulate the qusai-static folding and deploying non-linear analysis. What's more, the mathematical model of the TWTF flexure hinge quasi-static folding and deploying properties are derived by the response surface method. Considering of small mass and high stability, the peak moment of quasi-static folding and deploying as well as the lightless are set as the objectives to get the optimal performances. The relative errors of the objectives between the optimal design results and the FE analysis results are less than 7%, which demonstrates the precision of the surrogate models. Lastly, the parameter study shows that both the slots length and the slots width both have significant effects to the peak moment of quasi-static folding and deploying of TWTF hinges with double slots. However, the maximum Mises stress of quasi-static folding is more sensitive to the slots length than the slots width. | 4 | Molecular Characterization of Avian-like H1N1 Swine Influenza A Viruses Isolated in Eastern China, 2011显示文摘Currently, three predominant subtypes of influenza virus are prevalent in pig populations worldwide: H1N1, H3N2, and H1N2. European avian-like H1N1 viruses, which were initially detected in European pig populations in 1979, have been circulating in pigs in eastern China since 2007. In this study, six influenza A viruses were isolated from 60 swine lung samples collected from January to April 2011 in eastern China. Based on whole genome sequencing, molecular characteristics of two isolates were determined. Phylogenetic analysis showed the eight genes of the two isolates were closely related to those of the avian-like H1N1 viruses circulating in pig populations, especially similar to those found in China. Four potential glycosylation sites were observed at positions 13, 26, 198, 277 in the HA1 proteins of the two isolates. Due to the presence of a stop codon at codon 12, the isolates contained truncated PB1-F2 proteins. In this study, the isolates contained 591Q, 627E and 701N in the polymerase subunit PB2, which had been shown to be determinants of virulence and host adaptation. The isolates also had a D rather than E at position 92 of the NS1, a marker of mammalian adaptation. Both isolates contained the GPKV motif at the PDZ ligand domain of the 3' end of the NS1, a characteristic marker of the European avian-like swine viruses since about 1999, which is distinct from those of avian, human and classical swine viruses. The M2 proteins of the isolates have the mutation (S31N), a characteristic marker of the European avian-like swine viruses since about 1987, which may confer resistance to amantadine and rimantadine antivirals. | 5 | Crashworthiness Analysis on Alternative Square Honeycomb Structure under Axial Loading显示文摘Hexagonal metal honeycomb is widely used in energy absorption field for its special construction. However, many other metal honeycomb structures also show good energy absorption characteristics. Currently, most of the researches focus on hexagonal honeycomb, while few are performed into different honeycomb structures. Therefore, a new alternative square honeycomb is developed to expand the non-hexagonal metal honeycomb applications in the energy absorption fields with the aim of designing low mass and low volume energy absorbers. The finite element model of alternative square honeycomb is built to analyze its specific energy absorption property. As the diversity of honeycomb structure, the parameterized metal honeycomb finite element analysis program is conducted based on PCL language. That program can automatically create finite element model. Numerical results show that with the same foil thickness and cell length of metal honeycomb, the alternative square has better specific energy absorption than hexagonal honeycomb. Using response surface method, the mathematical formulas of honeycomb crashworthiness properties are obtained and optimization is done to get the maximum specific energy absorption property honeycomb. Optimal results demonstrate that to absorb same energy, alternative square honeycomb can save 10% volume of buffer structure than hexagonal honeycomb can do. | 6 | Effects of Joint on Dynamics of Space Deployable Structure显示文摘Joints are necessary components in large space deployable truss structures which have significant effects on dynamic behavior of these joint dominated structures.Previous researches usually analyzed effects of one or fewer joint characters on dynamics of jointed structures.Effects of joint stiffness,damping,location,number,clearance and contact stiffness on dynamics of jointed structures are systematically analyzed.Cantilever beam model containing linear joints is developed based on finite element method,influence of joint on natural frequencies and mode shapes of the jointed system are analyzed.Analytical results show that frequencies of jointed system decrease dramatically when peak mode shapes occur at joint locations,and there are cusp shapes present in mode shapes.System frequencies increase with joint damping increasing,there are different joint damping to achieve maximum system damping for different joint stiffness.Joint nonlinear force-displacement is described by describing function method,one-DOF model containing nonlinear joints is established to analyze joints freeplay and hysteresis nonlinearities.Analysis results show that nonlinear effects of freeplay and hysteresis make dynamic responses switch from one resonance frequency to another frequency when amplitude exceed demarcation values.Joint contact stiffness determine degree of system nonlinearity,while exciting force level,clearance and slipping force affect amplitude of dynamic response.Dynamic responses of joint dominated deployable truss structure under different sinusoidal exciting force levels are tested.The test results show obvious nonlinear behaviors contributed by joints,dynamic response shifts to lower frequency and higher amplitude as exciting force increasing.The test results are further compared with analytical results,and joint nonlinearity tested is coincident with hysteresis nonlinearity.Analysis method of joint effects on dynamic characteristics of jointed system is proposed,which can be used in optimal design of joint parameters to achieve optimum dynamic performance of jointed system. | GUO Hongwei ZHANG Jing LIU Rongqiang DENG Zongquan | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,5: | 4 |
| 7 | Configuration synthesis of planar folded and common overconstrained spatial rectangular pyramid deployable truss units显示文摘Compared with non-overconstrained deployable units, overconstrained deployable units are widely used in space missions for their higher stiffness characteristics. Besides the performance of a three-step topological structural analysis and design of the rectangular pyramid deployable truss unit(PDTU), conducting a structural synthesis of an overconstrained deployable unit requires the determination of the relative position and direction of each kinematic axis. The structural synthesis of an overconstrained deployable unit is investigated based on screw theory and its topological structure. The possible overconstrained cases of the rectangular PDTUs are analyzed, and corresponding screw expressions are obtained. Thus, the rectangular PDTUs, which can be folded into a plane, are synthesized systemically, and a series of overconstrained rectangular PDTUs is obtained. | 8 | A Streptococcus suis serotype 2 caused streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS) in a patient显示文摘Streptococcus suis(S.suis)is a Gram-positive,facultatively anaerobic coccus that has been implicated as the cause of a wide range of clinical disease syndromes in swine and other domestic animals.S.suis has also been implicated in disease in humans,especially among abattoir workers,swine and pork handlers.Here we report a case of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome(STSS)caused by S.suis in a 59-year-old man.Despite of intensive treatment,the patient died of shock with multiple organ failure 14 h after admission.One bacterial isolate obtained from blood culture was identified to the species level by biochemical tests and serological tests as S.suis serotype 2.Identification was confirmed by PCR amplification of genes encoding 16sRNA of S.suis and the capsule of S.suis serotype 2(cps 2J).Genes encoding virulence factors were also detected.An investigation to identify the source of S.suis revealed that several days before admission the affected man had been handling sick pigs or their meat.Transmission may occur through breaks in the skin of feet with tinea due to that no measures for personal protection was taken.This case should highten awareness of the potential for occupational exposure and human infection with S.suis. | Yefei Zhu Zhongmin Tan Lingyang Zhu Hongxing Pan Xuejun Zhang Lei Xu Huimin Qian Ling Gu Xun Ye Chen Dong Changjun Bao Rongqiang Zhu Fengcai Zhu Hua Wang | 2008 | Journal of Nanjing Medical University2008,22,5: | 3 |
| 9 | Molecular imaging of advanced atherosclerotic plaques with folate receptor-targeted 2D nanoprobes显示文摘Vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques are responsible for most cardiovascular diseases(CVDs).Folate receptor(FR)positive activated macrophages were thought to be a prominent component in the development of vulnerable plaque.The objective of this study is to develop folate conjugated two-dimensional(2D)Pd@Au nanomaterials(Pd@Au-PEG-FA)for targeted multimodal imaging of the FRs in advanced atherosclerotic plaques.Pharmacokinetic and imaging studies(single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT),computed tomography(CT)and photoacoustic(PA)imaging)were performed to confirm the prolonged blood half-life and enrichment of radioactivity in atherosclerotic plaques.Strong signals were detected in vivo with SPECT,CT and PA imaging in heavy atherosclerotic plaques,which were significantly higher than those of the normal aortas after injection of Pd@Au-PEG-FA.Blocking studies with preinjection of excess FA could effectively reduce the targeting ability of Pd@Au-PEG-FA in atherosclerotic plaques,further demonstrating the specific binding of Pd@Au-PEG-FA for plaque lesions.Histopathological characterization revealed that the signal of probe was in accordance with the high-risk plaques.In summary,the Pd@Au-PEG-FA has favorable pharmacokinetic properties and provides a valuable approach for detecting high-risk plaques in the presence of FRs in atherosclerotic plaques. | Zhide Guo Liu Yang Mei Chen Xuejun Wen Huanhuan Liu Jingchao Li Duo Xu Yuanyuan An Changrong Shi Jindian Li Xinhui Su Zijing Li Ting Liu Rongqiang Zhuang Nanfeng Zheng Haibo Zhu Xianzhong Zhang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,1: | 2 |
| 10 | Microstructure Evolution and Grain Coarsening Behaviour During Partial Remelting of Cyclic Extrusion Compression Formed AZ61 Magnesium Alloy显示文摘The effects of CEC passes, isothermal holding time and reheating temperature on the microstructure evolution and grain coarsening behaviour of AZ61 magnesium alloy produced by the recrystallisation and partialmelting (RAP) process were investigated. Before partial remelting, as-cast AZ61 alloy was deformed by cyclic extrusion compression (CEC) with one pass and two pass at 330℃. After CEC, the microstructure consisted of unrecrystallized grains and deformed eutectic compounds. Increasing isothermal holding time resulted in the formation of spheroidal grains surrounded by liquid films. With increasing the isothermal holding time, the solid grain size increased and the degree of spheroidization was improved. With increasing the reheating temperature, namely increasing liquid fraction, the solid grain size obviously decreased during the period from 560℃ to 570℃ and then slightly increased after 570℃, while the shape factor increased monotonously. During partial remelting, increasing reheating temperature can properly short the isothermal holding time to obtain fine structure. Moreover, increasing the numbers of CEC passes could produce finer semi-solid mi- crostructure. The coarsening behavior of solid grains in the semi-solid state obeys Ostwald ripening and grain coalescence mechanisms. The coarsening rate constant, K, was 80 μm3 · s-1 for samples partially remelted at 595℃. | 14 | Biological Functions of Selenoprotein Iodothyronine Deiodinase and its Expression in Osteoarthritis显示文摘Objective Iodothyronine deiodinases(DIOs)are important selenoproteins that play a key role in the bone and joint diseases.Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most prevalent joint disease especially in elders.This bioinformatic analysis was performed to explore the role of DIOs in OA pathogenesis.Methods The biological functions of selenoprotein DIOs were analyzed by bioinformatic techniques,mcluding GenCLip 3.0,Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery(DAVID),STRING,Cytoscape,and Network Analyst.The expression of DIOs in the healthy individuals and OA patients was determined by mining OA-related microarray data in the gene expression omnibus(GEO)database of National Center for Biotechnology Information and performing a Meta-analysis of the data with Review Manager 5.3.Results Cluster analysis revealed that the function of the DIOs was associated with thyroid hormone receptor and iodothyronine;GO analysis showed that DIOs were mainly involved in biological processes,such as ethanol metabolism and phenol-containing compound metabolism and primarily involved in the cytochrome P450 metabolism of exogenous organisms and thyroid hormone signaling;SULT1A1 was the core node of the PPI network;miRNAs and thyroid hormones had some iterations with DIO1 and DI02;Meta-analysis showed that DIO3 expression was significantly up-regulated in OA patients(SMD=0.31,95%CI:0.03,0.59,P=0.03).Conclusions The main biological functions of DIOs were closely associated with the regulation of thyroid hormone.And the up-regulated expression of DIO3 may have crucial impact on the occurrence of OA. | Xiaomei Ren Li Zhang Bao Xin Qiling Liu Wenwen Qian Rongqiang Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,2: | 1 |
