| 4 | Effects of porosity on seismic velocities, elastic moduli and Poisson's ratios of solid materials and rocks显示文摘The generalized mixture rule(GMR) is used to provide a unified framework for describing Young's(E),shear(G) and bulk(K) moduli, Lame parameter(l), and P- and S-wave velocities(V_p and V_s) as a function of porosity in various isotropic materials such as metals, ceramics and rocks. The characteristic J values of the GMR for E, G, K and l of each material are systematically different and display consistent correlations with the Poisson's ratio of the nonporous material(v_0). For the materials dominated by corner-shaped pores, the fixed point at which the effective Poisson's ratio(n) remains constant is at v_0=0.2, and J(G) > J(E) > J(K) > J(l) and J(G) < J(E) < J(K) < J(l) for materials with v_0> 0.2 and v_0< 0.2, respectively.J(V_s) > J(V_p) and J(V_s) < J(V_p) for the materials with v_0 > 0.2 and v_0< 0.2, respectively. The effective n increases, decreases and remains unchanged with increasing porosity for the materials with v_0 < 0.2,v_0 > 0.2 and v_0 =0.2, respectively. For natural rocks containing thin-disk-shaped pores parallel to mineral cleavages, grain boundaries and foliation, however, the n fixed point decreases nonlinearly with decreasing pore aspect ratio(a: width/length). | 5 | Robust adaptive fuzzy backstepping output feedback tracking control for nonlinear system with dynamic uncertainties显示文摘In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy output feedback control approach based on backstepping design is proposed for a class of SISO strict feedback nonlinear systems with unmeasured states, nonlinear uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics, and dynamical disturbances. Fuzzy logic systems are employed to approximate the nonlinear uncertainties, and an adaptive fuzzy state observer is designed for the states estimation. By combining backstepping technique with the fuzzy adaptive control approach, a stable adaptive fuzzy output feedback robust control is constructed recursively, in which nonlinear damping terms and a dynamical signal are introduced to counteract the nonlinear uncertainties and dominate the dynamic disturbances, respectively. It is proved that the proposed adaptive fuzzy control approach guarantees that all the signals of the closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly bounded, and the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of the origin. The fuzzy logic systems in Mamdani type are used to approximate unknown nonlinear functions. A design scheme of the robust adaptive fuzzy controller is proposed by use of the backstepping technique. The proposed controller guarantees semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the derived closed-loop system and achieves the good tracking performance. The possible controller singularity problem which may occur in some existing adaptive control schemes with feedback linearization techniques can be avoided. In addition, the number of the on-line adaptive parameters is not more than the order of the designed system. First, we consider the constraint characteristics in the switched nonlinear systems to ensure that all states in switched systems do not violate the constraint ranges. Second, we design the controller based on the backstepping technique, while integral Barrier Lyapunov functions(i BLFs) are adopted to solve the full state constraint problems in each step in order to realize the direct constraints on state variables.Furthermore, we introduce the Lyapunov stability theory to demonstrate that the adaptive controller achieves the desired control goals. | 13 | Preparation and evaluation of a new releasable PEGylated tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) conjugate for therapeutic application显示文摘To design a releasable PEGylated TNF-α(rPEG-TNF-α ), a cathepsin B-sensitive dipeptide (Val-Cit moiety) was inserted into conventional PEG-modified TNF- (PEG-TNF- ), facilitating its clinical use for anti-tumor therapy. Comparative pharmaco- kinetic and pharmacodynamic studies showed that the half-lives of both PEGylated forms of TNF-α were ~60-fold greater than that of unmodified TNF-α . In addition, the in vitro bioactivity of rPEG-TNF-α was greater than that of PEG-TNF-α with the same degree of PEG modification. Release of TNF-α from rPEG-TNF-α in vitro was dependent on the presence of cathepsin B and was inhibited by a cathepsin B inhibitor. Despite the potent cytotoxicity of unmodified TNF-α against normal cells, its PEGylated forms at higher TNF-α concentrations showed low cytotoxic activity against these cells. In contrast, both forms of PEGylated TNF-α showed potent cytotoxic activity against the B16 and L929 cell lines, with rPEG-TNF-α being 5- and 9- fold more potent, respectively, than PEG-TNF-α . | 15 | On deposits controlled by tectonic lenses显示文摘By study of the typical tectonic lenses controlling some ore deposits, the tectonic lens boundaries may be classified into fuzzy boundaries, sharp boundaries and complex boundaries, and the metallostructures in tectonic lenses may be classified into vein-type, stock- work-type and breccia-type. After studying their metallostructures, we suggest the conception on tectonic lenses as an ore-forming system, realizing that the compact-function ore-forming system is made up of the lenticular weak-strain domain(Q) and its outside linear strong-strain belt(P). The ore-forming system, which is composed of four subsystems that coupled with each other and exert their system functions to the full, includes the dual-dynamical system made up of tectonic and fluid dynamics, the metallotectonic system controlled by hydrofracturing, the ore-source system made up of multi-substances and the mineral transportation system contacted by tectonic network. Deformational partitioning, hydrofracturing and tectonic pumping operate the consid- erable function while the system function practises. The results demonstrated that the prepared catalysts exhibited moderate to good activity and enantioselectivity in the asymmetric epoxidation of unfunctionalized olefins. Furthermore, the immobilized catalysts were relatively stable and could be conveniently separated from the reaction system by simple precipitation in hexane. Moreover, higher enantioselectivity was obtained with catalyst 2c than that of homogeneous counterpart catalyzed even after eight times. | 18 | V_p/V_s Anisotropy and Implications for Crustal Composition Identification and Earthquake Prediction显示文摘The ratio of P- to S-wave velocities(V_p/V_s) is regarded as one of the most diagnostic properties of natural rocks.It has been used as a discriminant of composition for the continental crust and provides valuable constraints on its formation and evolution processes.Furthermore,the spatial and temporal changes in V_p/V_s before and after earthquakes are probably the most promising avenue to understanding the source mechanics and possibly predicting earthquakes.Here we calibrate the variations in V_p/V_s in dry,anisotropic crustal rocks and provide a set of basic information for the interpretation of future seismic data from the Wenchuan earthquake Fault zone Scientific Drilling (WFSD) project and other surveys.V_p/V_s is a constant(Φ_0) for an isotropic rock.However,most of crustal rocks are anisotropic due to lattice-preferred orientations of anisotropic minerals(e.g.,mica, amphibole,plagioclase and pyroxene) and cracks as well as thin compositional layering.The V_p/V_s ratio of an anisotropic rock measured along a selected pair of propagation-vibration directions is an apparent value(Φ_(ij)) that is significantly different from the value for its isotropic counterpart(Φ_0).The usefulness of apparent V_p/V_s ratios as a diagnostic of crustal composition depends largely on rock seismic anisotropy.A 5%of P- and S-wave velocity anisotropy is sufficient to make it impossible to determine the crustal composition using the conventional criteria(V_p/V_s≤1.756 for felsic rocks, 1.7561.944 fluidfilled porous/fractured or partially molten rocks) if the information about the wave propagationpolarization directions with respect to the tectonic framework is unknown.However,the variations in V_p/V_s measured from borehole seismic experiments can be readily interpreted according to the orientations of the ray path and the polarization of the shear waves with respect to the present-day principal stress directions(i.e.,the orientation of cracks) and the frozen fabric(i.e.,foliation and lineation). | WANG Qian JI Shaocheng XU Zhiqin | 2009 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2009,83,4: | 3 |
| 19 | Using nerve segment insert grafting to reconstruct neural pathways of brain-derived paralysis显示文摘Since 1992,task groups have used free nerve auto grafts to bridge partially transected nerves from the dominant area of the normal cerebral cortex to nerves that innervate spastic muscles from a diseased cerebral cortex,using transplanting sutures to alleviate the muscle spasm of cerebral palsy caused by different diseases. This has facilitated rebuilding of some of its neurological function. In this study,80 such patients were followed up,including 20 patients with traumatic brain injury,32 patients with stroke,and 28 pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. | 20 | Analysis of Metastatic-Related Gene Expression in Gastric Cancer by Low-Density cDNA Microarrays显示文摘OBJECTIVE To screen metastatic-related genes in human gastric cancer by a low-density cDNA microarray technique. METHODS A total of 18 paired gastric cancer and adjacent normal mu-cosa were examined by a low-density cDNA microarray containing 23 genes. RT-PCR was used for further verification. RESULTS The mRNA expression of MMP -7, heparanase, S100A4, hTERT, hRad17 in gastric cancers was higher than that in coupled normal mucosa (P=0.002, 0.00011, 0.000072, 0.002, 0.00016 respectively), whereas nm23H1, and CDH1 were lower (P=0.003, 0.012 respectively). The concordance was verified further by RT-PCR with a correlation coefficient of 0.774. In gastric primary lesions the mRNA expression of MMP-7, heparanase and S100A4 was higher in the serosa involved compared to non-involved (P=0.003, 0.009, 0.012 respectively), whereas nm23H1, CDH1, KAI1 were lower (P=0.001, 0.001, 0.006 respectively). With respect to the area of serosa involvement, MMP-7 and heparanase expressions were higher in an area of more than 20 cm2 compared to an area of less than 20 cm2 (P=0.001, 0.02 respectively), whereas nm23H1, CDH1 and KAI1 were lower (P=0.030, 0.041, 0.031 respectively). MMP-7 and hTERT expressions were higher in the heavier lymph node metastatic cases (no less than 7) than in the lighter lymph node metastatic cases (no more than 6, P=0.001, 0.005 respectively). CONCLUSION Expression of MMP -7, S100A4, heparanase, hTERT, KAI1, CDH1 and nm23H1 correlated closely with invasion and metastasis in gastric carcinomas.
