| 1 | Variational principles and governing equations in nano-dielectrics with the flexoelectric effect显示文摘The flexoelectric effect is very strong and coupled with large strain gradients for nanoscale dielectrics. At the nanoscale, the electrostatic force cannot be ignored. In this paper, we have established the electric enthalpy variational principle for nanosized dielectrics with the strain gradient and the polarization gradient effect, as well as the effect of the electrostatic force. The complete governing equations, which include the effect of the electrostatic force, are derived from this variational principle, and based on the principle the generalized electrostatic stress is obtained, the generalized electrostatic stress contains the Maxwell stress corresponding to the polarization and strain, and stress related to the polarization gradient and strain gradient. | 3 | Ultralight X-type lattice sandwich structure (Ⅱ):Micromechanics modeling and finite element analysis显示文摘The methods of homogenization and finite elements are employed to predict the effective elastic constants and stress-strain responses of a new type of lattice structure,the X-structure proposed by the authors in a companion paper. It is shown that in most cases the predictions by the equivalent homogenization theory agree well with the experimental and 3-dimensional finite element calculated results. | 5 | A nonlinear POD reduced order model for limit cycle oscillation prediction显示文摘As the amplitude of the unsteady flow oscillation is large or large changes occur in the mean background flow such as limit cycle oscillation,the traditional proper orthogonal decomposition reduced order model based on linearized time or frequency domain small disturbance solvers can not capture the main nonlinear features.A new nonlinear reduced order model based on the dynamically nonlinear flow equation was investigated.The nonlinear second order snapshot equation in the time domain for proper orthogonal decomposition basis construction was obtained from the Taylor series expansion of the flow solver.The NLR 7301 airfoil configuration and Goland+ wing/store aeroelastic model were used to validate the capability and efficiency of the new nonlinear reduced order model.The simulation results indicate that the proposed new reduced order model can capture the limit cycle oscillation of aeroelastic system very well,while the traditional proper orthogonal decomposition reduced order model will lose effectiveness. | CHEN Gang *,LI YueMing & YAN GuiRong MOE Key Laboratory for Strength & Vibration,College of Aerospace,Xi’an Jiaotong University,Xi’an 710049,China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,7: | 7 |

| 7 | Structure of the Intermetallic Compound Ni_3Al Synthesized under Compression of the Powder Mixture of Pure Elements Part Ⅰ: Phase Composition and Microstructure of Main Phase显示文摘It was shown by TEM and X-ray analysis that there are four types of grains of the main Ni3Al phase in the structure of the intermetallic obtained by the self-propagation high temperature method (SHS). Every type of grains has its own domain and dislocation structure. There are mono- and polydomains with and without dislocations. The grains of the main phase of monoand polydomains without dislocations and polydomains with dislocations were formed by diffusion in the solid phase. In these conditions NiAl3 phase is located on the grain boundary of the main phase. The Ni2Al3 phase is located at the triple joints of the main phase. | M. V. | 8 | An analytical solution for the elastic fields near spheroidal nano-inclusions显示文摘When the size of an inclusion shrinks to nanometers,interface energy plays an important role in the deformationaround it. In the present paper, we consider the effect ofinterface energy on the elastic fields near a spheroidal nano-inclusionembedded in an elastic medium on the basis of surfaceelasticity theory. Using Boussinesq-Sadowsky potentialfunction method, we obtain the deformation field near theinclusion subjected to a uniformly uniaxial loading at infinity.The results show that the elastic fields near the nano-inclu-siondepend strongly on the interface properties, the size andshape of inclusion. | 10 | Influence of Al Composition on the Microstructure of B Alloyed Ni_3Al Synthesized under Compression显示文摘It was shown by TEM and X-ray analysis that Ni3Al is the main phase of the intermetallic synthesized under compression from the powder mixture of Ni with Al alloyed by B. The Ni3B is a secondary phase. The value of the lattice parameter of the intermetallic Ni3Al with and without B increases when the concentration of Al increases. | 12 | MATHEMATICAL SIMULATION OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER IN PULSED ARC WELDING BY MELTING ELECTRODE显示文摘In this paper the processes of melting and transfer of an electrode metal to the molten pool, hydrody- namics of molten pool in controlled pulsed arc welding in carbon dioxide have been investigated.The process of pulsed arc welding with systematic short - circuits of the arc gap is realized by adaptive algo- rithms of pulsed control over main energetic parameters of welding - arc current and voltage,arc heated efficiency,peak,short - circuiting current, which provide the dosage of energy for energy for melting and transfer of every for of an electrode metal, the control over fluidity of the weld pool.
