| 2 | Deformation Mechanism and Stabilization of Martensite in TiNi Shape Memory Alloy显示文摘The deformed microstructures of a TiNi shape memory alloy were investigated in present study to clarify the deformation mechanism.It is found that the stress-strain curve was divided into three stages based on the deformation modes.The cause of martensitic stabilization effect was also interpreted by paying special attention to the deformed microstructures.Transmission electron microscopic examination revealed that at the early stage of deformation martensitic reorientation and compound twinning relieved some of the elastic strain energy stored in martensite,and this contributes to the martensitic stabilization effect.However,when deformation strain became larger,the density of dislocations increased correspondingly.Antiphase boundaries were also found.The degree of ordering was therefore decreased due to dislocations and antiphase boundaries.So disordering was another cause of martensitic stabilization effect.In the middle stage of deformation martensitic stabilization was attributed to the two reasons above. | Shuai Wang Koichi Tsuchiya Lei Wang Minoru Umemoto | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,10: | 3 |
| 3 | Pseudogap,Fermi arc,and Peierls-insulating phase induced by 3D-2D crossover in monolayer VSe2显示文摘One of important challenges in condensed-matter physics is to realize new quantum states of matter by manipulating the dimensionality of materials,as represented by the discovery of high-temperature superconductivity in atomic-layer pnictides and room-temperature quantum Hall effect in graphene.Tran sition-metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)provide a fertile platform for exploring novel quantum phenomena accompanied by the dimensionality change,since they exhibit a variety of electronic/magnetic states owing to quantum confinement.Here we report an anomalous metal-i nsulator transition in duced by three-dimensional(3D)-two-dimensional(2D)crossover in mono layer 1T-VSe2 grown on bilayer graphene.We observed a complete insulating state with a finite energy gap on the entire Fermi surface in monolayer 1T-VSe2 at low temperatures,in sharp contrast to metallic nature of bulk.More surprisingly,monolayer 1T-VSe2 exhibits a pseudogap with Fermi arc at temperatures above the charge-density-wave temperature,showing a close resemblanee to high-temperature cuprates.This similarity suggests a common underlying physics between two apparently different systems,pointing to the importance of charge/spin fluctuations to create the novel electronic states,such as pseudogap and Fermi arc,in these materials. | Yuki Umemoto Katsuaki Sugawara Yuki Nakata Takashi Takahashi Takafumi Sato | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,1: | 2 |
