4NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE THERMO-MECHANICAL PROCESS FOR BEAM BLANK CONTINUOUS CASTING显示文摘The aim of this study was to simulate the solidification process of beam blank continuous casting, and then find the reasons for the typical defects of the beam blank. A two-dimensional transient coupled finite element model has been developed to compute the temperature and stress profile in beam blank continuous casting. The enthalpy method was used in the heat conduction equation. The thermo-mechanical property in the mushy zone was taken into consideration in this calculation. It is shown that at the mold exit the thickness of the shell had its maximum value at the flange tip and its minimum value at the fillet. The temperature had a great fluctuation on the surface of the beam blank in the secondary cooling zone. At the unbending point, the surface temperature of the web was in the brittleness temperature range under the present condition. To ensure the quality, it is necessary to weaken the intensity of secondary cooling. At the mold exit the equivalent stress and strain have higher values at the flange tip and at the web. From the spray 1 to the unbending point, the maximum values of stress and strain gradually moved to the internal section of the flange tip and the web. However, whenever, there were bigger stress and strain values near the flange tip and the web than in the other parts, it must be very easy to generate cracks at those positions. Now, online verification of this simulation has been developed, which has proved to be very useful and efficient to instruct the practical production of beam blank continuous casting.W. Chen Y.Z. 5Design optimization of cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys for high damping capacity显示文摘This paper investigated high-damping Cu-Al-Be-B cast alloys using metallographic analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrical resistance measurements for transformation temperatures. The results showed that beryllium can stabilize β phase, resulting in a thermo-elastic martensite microstructure leading to high-damping capacity in cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys. Trace additions of boron to Cu-Al-Be alloys can significantly refine the grains, providing high strength and ductility to the alloys. A factorial design of experiment method was used to optimize the composition and properties of cast Cu-Al-Be-B alloys. The optimal microstructure for thermo-elastic martensite can be obtained by adjusting the amounts of aluminum and beryllium to eutectoid or pseudo-eutectoid compositions. 9Quantifying the Microstructures of Pure Cu Subjected to Dynamic Plastic Deformation at Cryogenic Temperature显示文摘A pure Cu (99.995 wt%) has been subjected to dynamic plastic deformation at cryogenic temperature to a strain of 2.1. Three types of microstructures that are related to dislocation slip, twinning and shear banding have been quantitatively characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) assisted by convergent beam electron di?raction (CBED) analysis. Microstructures originated from dislocation slip inside or outside the shear bands are characterized by low angle boundaries (<15°) that are spaced in the nanometer scale, whereas most deformation twins are deviated from the perfect Σ3 coincidence (60°/<111>) up to the maximum angle of 9°. The quantitative structural characteristics are compared with those in conventionally deformed Cu at low strain rates, and allowed a quantitative analysis of the flow stress-structural parameter relationship.F. 10硝酸根对颗粒状铁降解三氯乙烯的影响(英文)显示文摘为研究硝酸根对颗粒状铁降解三氯乙烯的影响,进行了柱实验和相应的反应铁腐蚀电位测定。在硝酸根离子存在条件下,铁的腐蚀电位相应升高,系统条件也因之发生变化,导致钝性的铁氧化物在铁表面生成。因而,三氯乙烯和硝酸根离子降解速率明显减小, 并且降解速率减小的程度与硝酸根离子的浓度成比例。当污染液流过反应柱时,硝酸根离子与铁反应, 被还原为氨根离子。该反应造成硝酸根离子的浓度梯度,使钝化区在柱中上移,从而影响了三氯乙烯的降解曲线。与三氯乙烯单独与铁反应相比,当含4 7 mg/L硝酸根的三氯乙烯溶液流经反应柱170 孔隙体积后,降解50% 三氯乙烯所需的时间(t50) 从小于4 h增加到大于10 h;而当三氯乙烯溶液中加入100 mg/L硝酸根离子,仅17 孔隙体积溶液流经反应柱后,三氯乙烯降解t50就已大于14 h。研究结果表明,由于硝酸根离子对铁的腐蚀电位和铁表面氧化膜的不利作用,在处理靶污染物为高浓度硝酸根离子和三氯乙烯共同污染的地下水时,铁渗透反应隔栅不是最佳选择。如果靶污染物中硝酸根离子浓度比较低,则在设计铁隔栅时应考虑到硝酸根离子造成的不利因素,相应增加铁墙的厚度,从而确保三氯乙烯的降解效果。Qiong LU Lai GUI Robert W. 14Laser Assisted Fabrication for Controlled Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Synthesis and Processing(Invited Paper)显示文摘Although significant progress has been made in large scale and high quality single-walled carbon nanotube(SWNT) synthesis,the fabrication of SWNT-based functional devices still faces many challenges due to the lack of good methods to precisely control over SWNTs growth location,orientation,alignment,and electronic properties.Hence,development of practical methods for well-controlled SWNT-based device fabrication has drawn great interests from both academics and industry.Due to numerous advantages,laser-based techniques are applied in controlled fabrication of SWNT devices.In this paper,we first introduce the laser assisted chemical vapor deposition(LCVD) process,and then different aspects of controllability in device fabrication are described in three sections: 1) location and orientation control of SWNT channels integration using optical near-field effects;2) alignment control of SWNTs arrays using electrical biasing polarities;3) SWNTs electronic property control using laser-induced breakdown technique.Our experimental results show that well-organized individual SWNT channels or arrays with location,orientation,alignment,and electronic property control can be achieved through laser assisted fabrication process,which is a promising solution for the fabrication of future SWNT-based devices.W.
