1Carboniferous adakites and Nb-enriched arc basaltic rocks association in the Alataw Mountains, north Xinjiang: interactions between slab melt and mantle peridotite and implications for crustal growth显示文摘Adakites and Nb-enriched arc basaltic rocks (NEABs) are identified to occur within the Carboniferous arc volcanic sequence in the Alataw Mountains, Xinjiang. The adakites, which consist of calc-alkaline dacites and rhyolites, are characterized by strong depletion of heavy rare earth elements (HREEs) (e.g., Yb) and Y, high Sr contents and Sr/Y ratios, either with no Eu anomalies or obvious positive Eu anomalies, apparent positive Sr anomalies, and depleted Nb and Ti. The Alataw adakites are very geochemically similar to the adakites that were presumably derived from partial melting of subducting oceanic crust. The rhyolitic adakite in the Alataw Mountains shows low MgO contents of 0.35% and Mg# values of about 17. However, the dacitic adakite shows high MgO contents of 2.67% to 3.32% and Mg# values of 53 to 58, suggesting that the adakite was possibly contaminated by mantle peridotite. On the other hand, the NEABs are characterized by Na-rich (Na2O/K2O > 2.0), high P2O5 and TiO2 contents, positive to weakly negative Nb anomalies, and non-negative Ti anomalies, suggesting that the NEABs were probably derived from partial melting of mantle peridotite that interacted with slab melt under high geothermal gradient. The Alataw adakites were probably derived from partial melting of oceanic crust on the southern margin of the Junggar plate that was subducted beneath the Bole block in the Carboniferous. The Alataw adakites-NE- ABs association implies that the partial melting of the subducting oceanic crust and the succedent interactions between the slab melt and peridotite in the mantle wedge possibly took place under the Bole arc in Carboniferous. On the southern margin of the Junggar plate, the Carboniferous subduction of oceanic crust (basin) was possibly extensive in the late Paleozoic era. 2SHRIMP U-Pb zircon geochronology of Yangfang aegiriteaugite syenite in Wuyi Mountains of South China and its tectonic implications显示文摘In addition to the wide spread peraluminous granites, some alkaline or alkali-rich intrusive rocks were recently observed in the Wuyi Mountains. The Yangfang aegiriteaugite syenites in the Wuyi Mountains are strongly enriched in light rare earth elements (LREE), K, Ba, Ga, Zr and Y. What is more, differentiations of REE are obvious. In addition, the Yangfang aegiriteaugite syenites have also some characteristics similar to A-type granite. Zircons are selected from the Yangfang aegiriteaugite syenites for Sensitive High-Resolution Ion Microprobe (SHRIMP-Ⅱ) U-Pb geochronology study. 15 analyses give concordant 206Pb/238U ages in a narrow range of 233—249 Ma, which correspond to a single age population with a weighted mean 206Pb/238U age of 242 4 Ma, which records the crystallization time of the aegiriteaugite syenites. It is suggested that: (1) there were early Triassic peralkaline intrusive rocks in South China; (2) the early Indosinian extension event was probably active in local area, South China. 3Association of Late Paleozoic Adakitic Rocks and Shoshonitic Volcanic Rocks in the Western Tianshan, China显示文摘The late Paleozoic adakitic rocks are closely associated with the shoshonitic volcanic rocks in the western Tianshan Mountains, China, both spatially and temporally. The magmatic rocks were formed during the period from the middle to the late Permian with isotopic ages of 248-268 Ma. The 87Sr/86Sr initial ratios of the rocks are low in a narrow variation range (~0.7050). The 143Nd/144Nd initial ratios are high (~0.51240) with positive εNd(t) values (+1.28-+4.92).In the εNd(t)-(87Sr/86Sr)i diagram they fall in the first quadrant. 4Bioaccumulation and translocation of cadmium in cole (Brassica campestris L.) and celery (Apium graveolens) grown in the polluted oasis soil,Northwest of China显示文摘A pot experiment was conducted to study the bioaccumulation and translocation of cadmium (Cd) in cole (Brassica campestris L.) and celery (Apium graveolens) grown in the Cd-polluted oasis soil,Northwest of China.The results showed that Cd in the unpolluted oasis soil was mainly bound to carbonate fraction (F2) and Fe-Mn oxide fraction (F3).However,marked change of Cd fractions was observed with increasing soil Cd concentrations,in which the concentration of Cd in F1 (exchangeable fraction),F2 and F3 increased significantly (p<0.001 for F1,F2 and F3).The growth of cole and celery could be facilitated by low concentrations of Cd,but inhibited by high concentrations.The correlation analysis between the fraction distribution coefficient of Cd in the soil and Cd concentration accumulated in the two vegetables showed that Cd in F1 in the soil made the greatest contribution on the accumulation of Cd in the two vegetables.The high bio-concentration factor and the translocation factor of Cd in both cole and celery were observed,and Cd had higher accumulation in the edible parts of the two vegetables.Therefore,both cole and celery grown in Cd-polluted oasis soil have higher risk to human health.And the two vegetables are not suitable to be cultivated as vegetables consumed by human in the Cd-polluted oasis soil.Yiming Yang Zhongren Nan Zhuanjun Zhao Zhaowei Wang Shengli Wang Xia Wang Wangqiang Jin Cuicui Zhao 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,8:8

6Study on the Separation,Extraction of Lycopene and Its Effects on Cell Cycle显示文摘The separation, extraction of lycopene and its effects on the proliferation and cells cycle of the chemical-induced cells were investigated in order to research on its extraction method and the mechanism in inhibiting neoplastic transformation. The best extraction condition of lycopene with super-critical carbon dioxide was under the pressure of 25MPa, the temperature of 50℃ and duration of 3. 0h. Lycopene could inhibit cell growth rate and cells proliferation significantly, while increase the cell numbers of G1-phase and decrease that of S-phase and G2 +-M-phase. 7Molecular cloning of C4-specific Ppc gene of sorghum and its high level expression in transgenic rice显示文摘In order to improve the carbon-assimilation ability of C3 plants, we isolated a C4-specific photosynthetic enzyme gene, Ppc (encode phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase, PEPCase) from the genome of the C4 plant, sorghum, and transformed rice with it. As shown by sequence analysis, the gene is composed of 10 exons and 9 introns, and the full-length transcript is 5989 bp long. A recombinant expres-sion vector, p1301PEPC, was constructed by inserting the gene into a plasmid vector, pCAMBIA1301, which was then transformed into two japonica rice varieties, Nongken 58 and Zhonghua 10, using an Agrobacterium-mediated transforma-tion system. PCR analysis, activity measurement of PEPCase, and protein-, RNA- and DNA-based hybridization all con-firmed the successful integration of the C4-specific Ppc gene into the nuclear genome of rice and its high level expression. Physiological studies revealed the photosynthetic features characterizing C4 plants such as marked lowering of CO2 compensation point and photorespiration rate, and im-proved carboxylation efficiency. 9Large magnetic-field-induced strains in rare earth polycrystalline Ni-Mn-Ga显示文摘The magnetic-field-induced strains (MFIS) of polycrystalline Ni50Mn29Ga21 alloys containing Tb were studied. A large MFIS of - 1.10% was obtained under compressive prestress conditions.
