Efficient signcryption between TPKC and IDPKC and its multi-receiver construction显示文摘The primitive signcryption provides authenticity and privacy simultaneously. In this paper, we present efficient signcryption schemes between the traditional public key cryptosystem (TPKC) and the identity based cryptosystem (IDPKC). In contrast, all the existing signcryption schemes available in the literature, to our knowledge, are limited to within one type of cryptosystem. We also discuss them in the multi-receiver setting. Formal security proofs are provided to guarantee the security for our schemes, in the random oracle model, under the hardness of the bilinear Diffie-Hellman problem. | SUN YinXia & LI Hui Key Laboratory of Computer Networks and Information Security, Ministry of Education, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,3: | 29

Application of the new feature to classification of MPSK signals, at medium signal-to-noise ratio with specified sample size, results in high probability of correct identification. | 5 | Adaptive Iterative Learning Control for Nonlinearly Parameterized Systems with Unknown Time-varying Delay and Unknown Control Direction显示文摘This paper proposes a new adaptive iterative learning control approach for a class of nonlinearly parameterized systems with unknown time-varying delay and unknown control direction.By employing the parameter separation technique and signal replacement mechanism, the approach can overcome unknown time-varying parameters and unknown time-varying delay of the nonlinear systems.By incorporating a Nussbaum-type function, the proposed approach can deal with the unknown control direction of the nonlinear systems.Based on a Lyapunov-Krasovskii-like composite energy function, the convergence of tracking error sequence is achieved in the iteration domain. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed control method. | Dan Li Jun-Min Li Department of Mathematics,Xidian University,Xi an 710071,China | 2012 | International Journal of Automation and computing2012,9,6: | 17 |
Memetic computation based on regulation between neural and immune systems: the framework and a case study显示文摘Lamarckian learning has been introduced into evolutionary computation to enhance the ability of local search. The relevant research topic, memetic computation, has received significant amount of interest. In this study, a novel memetic computational framework is proposed by simulating the integrated regulation between neural and immune systems. The Lamarckian learning strategy of simulating the unidirectional regulation of neural system on immune system is designed. Consequently, an immune memetic algorithm based on the Lamarckian learning is proposed for numerical optimization. The proposed algorithm combines the advantages of immune algorithms and mathematical programming, and performs well in both global and local search. The simulation results based on ten low-dimensional and ten high-dimensional benchmark problems show that the immune memetic algorithm outperforms the basic genetic algorithm-based memetic algorithm in solving most of the test problems. | GONG MaoGuo , JIAO LiCheng, LIU Fang & YANG Jie Key Lab of Intelligent Perception and Image Understanding of Ministry of Education of China, Institute of Intelligent Information Processing, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,8: | 16
Symmetric-key cryptosystem with DNA technology显示文摘DNA cryptography is a new field which has emerged with progress in the research of DNA computing. In our study, a symmetric-key cryptosystem was designed by applying a modern DNA biotechnology, microarray, into cryptographic technologies. This is referred to as DNA symmetric-key cryptosystem (DNASC). In DNASC, both encryption and decryption keys are formed by DNA probes, while its ciphertext is embedded in a specially designed DNA chip (microarray). The security of this system is mainly rooted in difficult biology processes and problems, rather than conventional computing technology, thus it is unaffected by changes from the attack of the coming quantum computer. The encryption process is a fabrication of a specially designed DNA chip and the decryption process is the DNA hybridization. In DNASC, billions of DNA probes are hybridized and identified at the same time, thus the decryption process is conducted in a massive, parallel way. The great potential in vast parallelism computation and the extraordinary information density of DNA are displayed in DNASC to some degree. | LU MingXin1,2*, LAI XueJia3*, XIAO GuoZhen4,2 & QIN Lei5 1 Department of Information Management, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210093, China 2 State Key Lab of Information Security, Institute of Software of Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing 100049, China 3 Department of Computer Science & Engineer, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai 200030, China 4 State Key Lab of ISN, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China 5 Cancer Research Institute, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, K7L3N6, Canada | 2007 | Science in China(Series F)2007,50,3: | 14
Target classification with low-resolution radar based on dispersion situations of eigenvalue spectra显示文摘Most low-resolution radar systems, especially ground surveillance radar systems, work at relatively low pulse repeat frequency (PRF) and with short time-on-target (TOT) (duration in scanning). Low PRF leads to Doppler ambiguity and short TOT results in low Doppler resolution, which poses a problem to target classification with low-resolution radar based on the jet engine modulation (JEM) characteristic of radar echo. From the pattern classification viewpoint, we propose a method of using dispersion situations of JEM eigenvalue spectra to categorize aeroplanes into three kinds, namely turbojet aircraft, prop aircraft and helicopter. We analyze the mathematical model of JEM echoes consisting of a series of line spectra and regard them as a sum of several series of harmonious waves. Classification features can be extracted based on the harmonious wave sum model. Some schemes for extracting features from echoes within or between pulses are proposed. Low-dimensional features are extracted to reduce computation burden. Our methods do not compensate for the fuselage echoes and are insensitive to the variation of fuselage Doppler. The feasibility of our methods is demonstrated by simulation experiment. | CHEN Feng, LIU HongWei, DU Lan & BAO Zheng National Laboratory of Radar Signal Processing, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,7: | 12

Valence band structure of strained Si/(111)Si_(1-x)Ge_x显示文摘The strained Si techique has been widely adopted in the high-speed and high-performance devices and circuits. Based on the valence band E-k relations of strained Si/(111)Si1-xGex, the valence band and hole effective mass along the [111] and [-110] directions were obtained in this work. In comparison with the relaxed Si, the valence band edge degeneracy was partially lifted, and the significant change was observed band structures along the [111] and [-110] directions, as well as in its corresponding hole effective masses with the increasing Ge fraction. The results obtained can provide valuable references to the investigation concerning the Si-based strained devices enhancement and the conduction channel design related to stress and orientation. | SONG JianJun, ZHANG HeMing, HU HuiYong, DAI XianYing & XUAN RongXi Key Laboratory of Wide Band-Gap Semiconductor Materials and Devices, School of Microelectronics, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,3: | 9
Time-frequency characteristics based motion estimation and imaging for high speed spinning targets via narrowband waveforms显示文摘This paper focuses on the motion parameters estimation and inversed synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging for the high-speed spinning targets via the time-frequency characteristics. Assuming that the translational motion is compensated with the available motion compensation techniques, then the residual part of translational motion and the spinning motion are estimated with high precision based on the timefrequency characteristics. Combining with the procedure of the motion estimation, a novel coherent timefrequency spectrum intensity redistribution method, coherent single range Doppler interferometry (CSRDI), is proposed, which provides higher resolution and sustain lower signal to noise rate (SNR) than the current approach. | 12 | Adaptive Output-feedback Regulation for Nonlinear Delayed Systems Using Neural Network显示文摘A novel adaptive neural network(NN)output-feedback regulation algorithm for a class of nonlinear time-varying time- delay systems is proposed. Both the designed observer and controller are independent of time delay.Different from the existing results, where the upper bounding functions of time-delay terms are assumed to be known,we only use an NN to compensate for all unknown upper bounding functions without that assumption. The proposed design method is proved to be able to guarantee semi-global uniform ultimate boundedness of all the signals in the closed system, and the system output is proved to converge to a small neighborhood of the origin. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the control scheme. | Wei-Sheng Chen Jun-Min Li Department of Applied Mathematics,Xidian University,Xi′an 710071,PRC | 2008 | International Journal of Automation and computing2008,5,1: | 9
Threshold quantum secret sharing between multi-party and multi-party显示文摘A threshold quantum secret sharing (TQSS) scheme between multi-party and multi-party was proposed using a sequence of single photons, which is useful and efficient when the parties of communication are not all present. We described the process of this TQSS scheme and discussed its security. It was shown that entan-glement is not necessary for quantum secret sharing. Moreover, the theoretic effi-ciency was improved to approach 100% as almost all the instances can be used for generating the private key,and each photon can carry one bit of information. | 15 | FAST RECURSIVE LEAST SQUARES LEARNING ALGORITHM FOR PRINCIPAL COMPONENT ANALYSIS显示文摘Based on the least-square minimization a computationally efficient learning algorithm for the Principal Component Analysis(PCA) is derived. The dual learning rate parameters are adaptively introduced to make the proposed algorithm providing the capability of the fast convergence and high accuracy for extracting all the principal components. It is shown that all the information needed for PCA can be completely represented by the unnormalized weight vector which is updated based only on the corresponding neuron input-output product. The convergence performance of the proposed algorithm is briefly analyzed. The relation between Oja’s rule and the least squares learning rule is also established. | 16 | A new family of windows——convolution windows and their applications显示文摘A new family of windows is constructed by convolutions via a few rectangular windows with same time width and is thus referred to as convolution windows. The expressions of the second-order up to the eighth-order convolution windows in both the time and frequency domains are derived. Their applications in high accuracy harmonic analysis of periodic signals are investigated. Comparisons between the proposed windows and some known windows with the same width shows that, when the synchronous deviation of data sampling is slight, the proposed ones have the least effect of spectral leakage. Therefore, the new windows are well suited for high accuracy harmonic analysis and parameter estimation for periodic signals. The error analysis and computer simulations show that the estimation errors, corresponding to frequency, amplitude and phase of every harmonic component of a signal, are proportional to the pth power of the relative frequency deviation in case of the pth-order convolution window is applied to windowing signal of approximately p cycles. By introducing real time adjustment in sampling interval, the proposed algorithm can adaptively trace signal frequency and lead to less sampling synchronous deviation. The proposed approach has the advantages of easy implementation and high measure precision and can be used in harmonic analysis of quasi-periodic signals whose fundamental frequency drifts slowly with time. | ZHANG Jieqiu1,2, LIANG Changhong1 & CHEN Yanpu3 1. | 17 | A preliminary study on dead geostationary satellite removal显示文摘The collision between satellites IRIDIUM 33 and COSMOS 2251 indicated that the clash of two on-orbit satellites was becoming an inevitable reality. Our calculation with the two-line orbit element by NORAD showed that some two geostationary satellites had approached very close in July 2009. Therefore, more attention should be given to avoid such collisions. This paper analyzes the orbital long-term variation of a dead satellite drifting in the geostationary orbit. Also, the negative effects posed by dead satellites upon the on-orbit operational geostationary satellites are studied. Then the paper proposes a novel idea to launch a satellite sweeper whose purpose is to collect the on-orbit dead satellites and help them de-orbit to a 'graveyard'. The satellite sweeper consists of a parent satellite and a child satellite. The child satellite collects a dead satellite and transfers it to a higher orbit. The parent satellite stationed in the geostationary orbit is in charge of refueling the child satellite. The strategy of maneuver and rendezvous is presented and a series of formulas are derived. The analysis results show that our method to clean the geostationary orbital zone is practical and fuel-saving. With the help of just a few satellite sweepers, we can gain a clean environment of geostationary orbit environment again. | LI YuHeng1, YANG KaiZhong2, SHAN ChengSheng2, LUO Dan2, GUAN Hui2, ZHENG Jun2, CHENG Hong2 & MAN Li2 1 Xidian University, Shaanxi 710071, China 2 Xi’an Satellite Control Center, Shaanxi 710043, China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,12: | 7
Finite element analysis and optimization of temperature field in GaN-MOCVD reactor显示文摘The electromagnetic field distribution of the in-home GaN-MOCVD reactor heated by induction was simulated by using finite element method (FEM), and the distributions of the magnetic field and the joule heat in the graphite susceptor were obtained. Then the distribution of joule heat was used as the applied load for the simulation of temperature. Based on heat conduction and heat emission models, the temperature distribution in the reactor and the susceptor were gained. In order to improve the uniformity of the temperature on the top surface of the susceptor, the conventional concentric placement of the susceptor in the reactor was changed into the eccentric placement, which effectively improved the temperature uniformity and increased the heat efficiency. | ZHANG JinCheng, LI ZhiMing, HAO Yue , WANG Hao & LI PeiXian Key Laboratory of Fundamental Science for National Defense on Wide Band-Gap Semiconductor Technology, School of Microelectronics, Xidian University, Xi’an 710071, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,10: | 7
Adaptive Fuzzy Dynamic Surface Control for a Class of Perturbed Nonlinear Time-varying Delay Systems with Unknown Dead-zone显示文摘In this paper, adaptive dynamic surface control(DSC) is developed for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown discrete and distributed time-varying delays and unknown dead-zone.Fuzzy logic systems are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions. Then,by combining the backstepping technique and the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals with the dynamic surface control approach, the adaptive fuzzy tracking controller is designed. Our development is able to eliminate the problem of 'explosion of complexity' inherent in the existing backstepping-based methods. The main advantages of our approach include:1) for the n-th-order nonlinear systems, only one parameter needs to be adjusted online in the controller design procedure, which reduces the computation burden greatly. Moreover, the input of the dead-zone with only one adjusted parameter is much simpler than the ones in the existing results;2) the proposed control scheme does not need to know the time delays and their upper bounds. It is proven that the proposed design method is able to guarantee that all the signals in the closed-loop system are bounded and the tracking error is smaller than a prescribed error bound,Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. | Hong-Yun Yue Jun-Min Li Department of Applied Mathematics,Xidian University,Xi an 710071,China | 2012 | International Journal of Automation and computing2012,9,5: | 7
Threshold proxy quantum signature scheme with threshold shared verification显示文摘A threshold proxy quantum signature scheme with threshold shared verification is proposed. An original signer could authorize a group as its proxy signers. Then only t or more of n persons in the proxy group can generate the proxy signature on behalf of the original signer and any t-1 or fewer ones cannot do that. When the proxy signature needs to be verified, any t or more of n persons belonging to the verification group can verify the message and any t-1 or fewer ones cannot verify the validity of the proxy signature. | YANG YuGuang1,3,4 & WEN QiaoYan2 1 College of Computer Science and Technology,Beijing University of Technology,Beijing 100124,China 2 State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology,Beijing University of Posts and Tele-communications,Beijing 100876,China 3 State Key Laboratory of Integrated Services Network,Xidian University,Xi’an 710071,China 4 State Key Laboratory of Information Security(Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) ,Beijing 100049,China | 2008 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2008,51,8: | 6
