| 2 | Timing of the Wudangshan, Yaolinghe volcanic sequences and mafic sills in South Qinling: U-Pb zircon geochronology and tectonic implication显示文摘The Wudangshan, Yaolinghe volcanic-sedimentary sequences and doleritic-gabbroic sills comprise the largest exposed Precambrian basement in South Qinling. Zircons separated from 5 volcanic-pyroclas- tic samples of the Wudangshan Group, 2 volcanic samples of the Yaolinghe Group and one sample for the mafic sills were used for U-Pb dating by laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spec- trometry (LA-ICPMS). The results reveal that the Wudangshan volcanic sequence was formed at (755±3) Ma (a weighted mean from the 5 samples, MSWD=0.47), whereas the Yaolinghe volcanic suite and the mafic sill were crystallized at (685±5) (2 samples, MSWD=0.36) and (679±3) Ma (MSWD=1.6), respectively, which are equal to each other within analysis errors. These ages are markedly younger than those previously documented for the rocks. The newly obtained ages for the Wudangshan and Yaolinghe Groups are identical to those of the bottom Liantuo and slightly older than those of the Nantuo Forma- tions, respectively, lower strata of the Nanhua (middle to late Neoproterozoic) stratotype section in eastern Three Gorges, Yangtze craton. A range of inherited magmatic zircons was recognized with ages of 830 to 780 Ma, which are typical of Neoprotzrozoic magmatisms recorded along the margins and interior of the Yangtze craton. Thus, there is Neoproterozoic basement comprising 830―780 Ma igne- ous suites in South Qinling; the inherited zircons were detrital sediments derived from the northern margin of the Yangtze craton. | 3 | U-Pb dating of detrital zircons from the Wudangshan Group in the South Qinling and its geological significance显示文摘U-Pb dating was made by the LA-ICP-MS method for detrital zircons from the Wudangshan volcanic-sedimentary succession in the South Qinling. Samples comprise quartz sandstones of the Wudangshan Group collected from the base of the Yangping For-mation and an upper layer of the Shuangtai Formation overlain its volcanic sequence, and two river-sand collections from the drainage systems cutting across the two formations, respectively. The results show that the Yangping detrital zircons are domi-nated by 830–780 Ma grains with a minor population of ~1.0–0.84 Ga and sporadic grains of ~2.6, ~2.4 and 2.0 Ga, whereas the Shuangtai zircons yield an upper intercept age of 763±33 Ma, identical to the timing of the Wudangshan volcanism within error, with few concordant grains of 1.9 and 0.86 Ga. Age spectra for the two river-sand samples are similar to those of the Yangping and Shuangtai Formations, respectively. It thus suggests that the Wudangshan strata are less than 780 Ma, whereas their major detrital zircon populations of 1.0–0.85 Ga and 830–780 Ma are consistent with timing of the Hannan magmatic activities along the northwestern margin of the South China Block. This suggests a Hannan or adjacent area provenance for the Wudangshan strata. The Wudang area is characterized by rift-related igneous events at ~755 and ~680 Ma, respectively, pointing to a tectono-magmatic history different from the Hannan area. | 5 | Microstructure evolution of spray deposited and as-cast 2195 Al-Li alloys during homogenization显示文摘In this paper,a comparative study on the spray deposited and as-cast 2195 alloy was carried out to reveal their microstructure evolutions and differences during the homogenization process.The dissolution of the secondary particles and the diffusion of solute were studied based on microstructure characterization and kinetics analysis.The precipitation behavior of Al3Zr dispersoids and its influence on recrystallization were investigated by using TEM and EBSD characterization.It was found that the large-size particles at triangular grain boundaries dissolve slower than the intragranular phases and other grain boundary phases.The required homogenization time depends on the dissolution processes of the large-size phases at grain boundaries.The size of grain boundary phases in the spray deposited alloy is much smaller than that in the as-cast alloy,so the homogenization time required for the spray deposited alloy is significantly shorter.Two-stage and ramp heating homogenization processes can promote the precipitation of Al3Zr dispersoids in the two alloys.In the spray deposited alloy,the dispersoids tend to precipitate at the positions of the T1 plates dissolved,which causes a non-uniform distribution and decreases the recrystallization resistance of the alloy.However,the distribution of the dispersoids in the as-cast alloy is more uniform after the homogenization,which brings a stronger inhibition on the recrystallization.According to the microstructural characterization and kinetics analysis results,it can be concluded that the homogenization with a slow ramp heating is suitable for the two 2195 alloys,and a shorter holding time can be used for spray deposited alloy,e.g.12 h at 500℃,while the holding time for the as-cast alloy is no less than 35 h at 500℃. | Yongxiao Wang Xinwu Ma Guoqun Zhao Xiao Xu Xiaoxue Chen Cunsheng Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,23: | 7 |
| 6 | CRISPR/Cas9 editing of wheat TaQ genes alters spike morphogenesis and grain threshability显示文摘The Ta Q alleles as one of the AP2-like transcription factors in common wheat(Triticum aestivum) play an important role in the evolution of spike characteristics from wild and domesticated emmer to modern wheat cultivars. Its loss-of-function mutant not only changed threshability and spike architecture but also affected plant height, flowering time, and floret structure. However, the comprehensive functions of Ta AQ and Ta Dq genes in wheat have not been fully elucidated yet. Here, CRISPR/Sp Cas9 was used to edit wheat Ta AQ and Ta Dq. We obtained homozygous plants in the T1 generation with loss of function of only Ta AQ or Ta Dq and simultaneous loss of function of Ta AQ and Ta Dq to analyze the effect of these genes on wheat spikes and floret shapes. The results demonstrated that the Ta AQ-edited plants and the Ta AQ and Ta Dq simultaneously-edited plants were nearly similar in spike architecture, whereas the Ta Dq-edited plants were different from the wild-type ones only in plant height. Moreover, the Ta AQ-edited plants or the Ta AQ and Ta Dq simultaneously-edited plants were more brittle than the wild-type and the Ta Dqedited plants. Based on the expression profiling, we postulated that the VRN1, FUL2, SEP2, SEP5, and SEP6 genes might affect the number of spikelets and florets per spike in wheat by regulating the expression of Ta Q. Combining the results of this report and previous reports, we conceived a regulatory network of wheat traits, including plant height, spike shape, and floral organs, which were influenced by AP2-like family genes. | 8 | Fabrication of Crack-Free Flattened Bamboo and Its Macro-/MicroMorphological and Mechanical Properties显示文摘This work aimed to help the bamboo industry develop methodology for producing imperfection-free bamboo boards that can serve either decorative or structural benefit to consumers seeking to engage with the bioeconomy.Specifically,softened and slotted bamboo tubes were handled by a roller device with nails to render crack-free flattened bamboo board.Softening temperature and time were optimized herein according to findings regarding chemical composition and board mechanical properties.The optimal softening parameters for saturated steam heat treatment is proved to be 160°C for 8 min.The flattened bamboo board possesses an increased bending strength of 101.5 MPa and a decreased bending modulus of 7.7 GPa,being compared with only-softened bamboo.The corresponding changing mechanism is determined in-depth by the micro-morphological and mechanical results based on in-situ SEM and AFM technologies.Under the action of nails and rolling processes,the bamboo texture becomes compact with crushed and fragmented conduit walls.The resulting cell cavity then becomes stretched and compressed,taking on a morphology which allows for the mechanical penalties associated with flattening to be avoided.According to the micro-mechanical results obtained by AFM,compared with unflatten bamboo,the Young’s modulus of the cell membrane in transverse direction(YT)decreases to 1.00 GPa while the corresponding Young’s modulus in radial direction(YR)increases to 7.29 GPa. | Zhichao Lou Tiancheng Yuan Qiuyi Wang Xinwu Wu Shouheng Hu Xiaomeng Hao Xianmiao Liu Yanjun Li | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,5: | 4 |
| 9 | Development of a PVDF sensor for potted seedling clamping force of vegetable transplanting显示文摘Aiming at the problems of loose bowl,nutritive bowl damage and planting leakage caused by lack of perception and detection of seedling clamping force in vegetable transplanting,a semi-micro-column structure sensor for measuring potted seedling clamping force was developed based on polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)piezoelectric film.The diameter of the semi-micro-column is 4 mm.The size of the force probe is 14 mm×30 mm,the encapsulation position of the force probe is 25 mm away from the tip of the seedling claw.The hardware circuit for sensor signal acquisition including pre-amplification module,power frequency notch module,low-pass filter module,processor module and power module was designed.The circuit completes charge-voltage conversion,clamping force signal amplification,power frequency signal elimination,vibration and noise elimination,and ensures the accurate acquisition of clamping force signal.In order to verify the sensor performance,sensor calibration tests and indoor experiments were carried out respectively.The calibration tests showed that the sensitivity of the clamping force sensor was 0.5264 V/N,the linearity was 4.74%,the accuracy was 6.51%,the hysteresis was 3.63%,and the range was 8 N under the impact of different waveforms and frequencies,which fully meet the accuracy requirements of the clamping force detection during transplanting.Indoor experiments showed that the clamping force sensor had good stability and adaptability under different seedling frequencies.The sensor can provide useful reference for the perception and detection of seedling clamping force and the feedback regulation of seedling clamping force. | Jiangtao Ji Jingwei Sun Xin Jin Mingyong Li Xinwu Du | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,5: | 3 |
| 10 | Quantitative differential diagnosis of breasttumors using shear wave velocity and differentprobe orientations显示文摘Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the additional benefit of the difference of maximum and minimum shear wave velocity(SWV) values obtained at different probe orientations(D-value) for the differential diagnosis of breast tumors.Methods SWV(m/s) was measured in 123 breast tumors(92 benign,31 malignant) in 76 female patients with the probe placed on the transverse,longitudinal,and 45° planes.The areas under the receiver operating characteristic(AUROC) curves were compared with respect to the maximum SWV,minimum SWV,D-value,maximum SWV combined with the D-value,and minimum SWV combined with the D-value.Results There was a significant difference among the values of the maximum SWV,minimum SWV,and D-value for the 3 planes(P < 0.001).The AUROC curves for the maximum SWV,minimum SWV,and D-values of the 3 planes were 0.751(P = 0.379),0.486(P = 0.863),and 0.603(P = 0.204),respectively.The cutoff value for the maximum SWV for differentiating benign tumors from malignant tumors was 2.51 m/s(sensitivity 67%,specificity 50%).The cutoff value for the minimum SWV was 1.61 m/s(sensitivity 53%,specificity 50%).Adding the D-value increased the AUROC curve for the maximum SWV from 0.571 to 0.733 and the minimum SWV from 0.486 to 0.504(P = 0.964),respectively.Conclusion SWV differs in different planes of breast tumors.The D-value can provide a reference for the differential diagnosis of breast tumors. | Yuan Huang Youbin Deng Liping Wang Xinwu Cui | 2017 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2017,3,2: | 3 |
| 11 | Ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablationfor small liver cancers adjacent to large vessels:long-term outcomes and strategies显示文摘Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of percutaneous microwave ablation(MWA) for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels and to investigate the treatment strategies.Methods From March 2009 to July 2015,a total of 86 patients with 94 tumors underwent ultrasound(US)-guided percutaneous MWA,with pathologically proven or clinically diagnosed liver cancers measuring ≤ 3 cm in diameter and located ≤ 10 mm from a major vessel(n = 94).Regular follow-up after MWA was performed to assess treatment efficacy and perioperative complications.Results The complete ablation rate at 1 month after MWA was 93.3%(84/90).The 6-,9-,12-,24-,36-,48-,60-,72-,and 84-month local recurrence rates were 2.4%,2.4%,3.7%,6.6%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,and 8.4%,respectively.There were no major complications.The perioperative special complication rate was 5.32%(5/94),including 3 cases of moderate liver function damage and 2 cases of limited sub-capsular hematoma.Conclusion Percutaneous MWA for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels is feasible,effective,and safe with an acceptable rate of complications.The key point is to strictly follow operative indications and adopt proper treatment strategies. | Ruobing Liu Kaiyan Li Hongchang Luo Wei Zhang Tingting Zhang Meng Gao Wenhui Zha Xinwu Cui Youbin Deng | 2017 | Oncology and Translational Medicine2017,3,2: | 3 |

| 13 | Homeobox B8 Targets Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9 and Drives Glioma Progression显示文摘Gliomas are the most commonly occurring tumors of the central nervous system. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant and aggressive brain cancer in adults. Further understanding of the mechanisms underlying the aggressive nature of GBM is urgently needed. Here we identified homeobox B8(HOXB8), a member of the homeobox family, as a crucial contributor to the aggressiveness of GBM. Data mining of publicly accessible RNA sequence datasets and our patient cohorts confirmed a higher expression of HOXB8 in the tumor tissue of GBM patients, and a strong positive correlation between the expression level and pathological grading of tumors and a negative correlation between the expression level and the overall survival rate. We next showed that HOXB8 promotes the proliferation and migration of glioblastoma cells and is crucial for the activation of the PI3K/AKT pathway and expression of epithelial–mesenchymal transition-related genes, possibly through direct binding to the promoter of SAMD9 (Sterile Alpha Motif Domain-Containing Protein 9) and activating its transcription. | 18 | Study on the Effect of Two-Step Saturated Steam Heat Treatment Process on the Properties of Reconstituted Bamboo显示文摘With the aim of utilizing reconstituted bamboo as a carbon cycle oriented material,the improvement of physical and mechanical properties has been actively studied to solve using problems The saturated steam heat treatment process has been widely used in worldwide.With the development and exploration of this technology,two step satu-rated steam heat treatment process appears in some practical production,that is,affer a period of saturated steam heat treatment at a lower temperature,the bamboo bundles are taken out and seasoned for a period of time,and then put back into the heat tank again,and heated at a higher temperature for another period of time.During the two-step saturated steam heat treatment,the physical and mechanical properties of bamboo changed.However,the mechanism of two step saturated steam heat treatment has not been thoroughly discussed.For purpose that this paper all discuss and find out the mechanism of two step saturated steam heat treatment on the change of physical and mechanical properties of reconstituted bamboo.In this work,the one and two step saturated steam heat treat-ments were carried out according to the actual production parameters,and the physical and mechanical properties of the reconstituted bamboo board made of treated bamboo bundles were analyzed,including the color change,the thickness swelling(TS),modulus of elasticity(MOE),modulus of rupture(MOR)and shear strength.The results indicate that two-step saturated steam heat treatment is better than one step.Based on the detailed study of the chemical composition,crytalinity and micro morphologial characteristics of the heated bamboo bundles,it is further revealed that during two-step saturated steam heat treatment,oxygen air is added to the reaction system between the two heat treatment processes to further catalyze the oxidation of hemicellulose and enhance the crystal-linity of cellulose,so as to improve the properties of the final products.Our work has optimized the saturated steam heat treatment process which is widely used in industry,pointing out a new idea in the experimental and theoretical basis for the development of recombinant bamboo manufacturing industry. | Xin Han Zhichao Lou Chenglong Yuan Xinwu Wu Jie Liu Fujin Weng Yanjun Li | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,12: | 1 |
