| 1 | Prevalence of hepatitis C virus infection and its related risk factors in drug abuser prisoners in Hamedan-Iran显示文摘AIM: Recent studies in Iran has shown that prevalence of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection among Iranian prisoners is high, in spite of low HCV seroprevalence in general population.METHODS: This study was carried out in the central prison of Hamedan - Iran, in year 2002. Inmates were interviewed using a standard questionnaire including demographic,imprisonment history and HCV-related risk behaviors items. Thereafter, the sera drawn from the participants were tested for anti-HIV and anti-HCV antibodies.RESULTS: A total number of 427 drug abuser inmates participated in our study. Three hundred and ninety-seven (93%) were men and 30 (7%) were women. Total number of Ⅳ drug abusers (IDA) and non-Ⅳ drug abusers (NIDA)was 149 (34.9%) and 278 (65.1%), respectively. The overall rate of antibody positivity among inmates was 0.9% for HIV and 30% for HCV. Of all IDAs, 31.5% and of NIDAs, 29.1% had serological evidence of HCV infection.CONCLUSION: The seroprevalence of HCV infection among drug abuser prisoners in comparison with the general population in Iran, is very high (30% vs in italics 0.2%).Our results indicate the importance of policies to prevent transmission of HCV infection during and following incarceration. | Amir Houshang Mohammad Alizadeh Seyed Moayed Alavian Khalil Jafari Nastaran Yazdi | 2005 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2005，11，26： | 5 |
| 2 | Use of quince seed mucilage edible films containing natural preservatives to enhance physico-chemical quality of rainbow trout fillets during cold storage显示文摘In this study quality changes of rainbow trout fillet wrapped with quince seed mucilage QSM film incorporated with 0–2%(V/V)thyme or oregano essential oil,as natural preservatives,during storage of 18 d at 4◦C were investigated.The control and wrapped fillet samples were analyzed for texture,lipid oxidation,and color characteristics.After 6 d of storage,a significantly increasing trend was observed for lipid oxidation in control samples.Peroxidation values(PV)varied for all treatments and remained lower than 8 meq/kg throughout the storage time(18 d).The lowest PV was obtained in fillets wrapped with QSM film containing 2%oregano essential oil.Compared to control samples,fillet samples wrapped with QSM films presented a significant reduction in pH after 12 d(P<0.05).L*and b*color parameters were increased while parameter a*was decreased linearly for all treatments during the storage time. | Mohammad Jouki Seyed Ali Mortazavi Farideh Tabatabaei Yazdi Arash Koocheki Naimeh Khazaei | 2014 | Food Science and Human Wellness2014，3，2： | 5 |
| 3 | A review on dural tail sign显示文摘'Dural tail sign' (DTS) which is a thickening of the dura adjacent to an intracranial pathology on contrast-enhanced T1 MR Images, was first thought to be pathognomonic of meningioma, however, many subsequent studies demonstrated this sign adjacent to various intra and extra-cranial pathologies and in spinal lesions. In this paper we outline the history, accompanying pathologies and the differentiation and probable pathophysiology of DTS. | 4 | Effect of intermittent aeration mode on nitrogen concentration in the water column and sediment pore water of aquaculture ponds显示文摘Nitrogen in pond sediments is a major water quality concern and can impact the productivity of aquaculture.Dissolved oxygen is an important factor for improving water quality and boosting fish growth in aquaculture ponds,and plays an important role in the conversion of ammonium-nitrogen(NH4-N)to nitrite-nitrogen(NO2--N)and eventually nitrate-nitrogen(NO3--N).A central goal of the study was to identify the best aeration method and strategy for improving water quality in aquaculture ponds.We conducted an experiment with six tanks,each with a different aeration mode to simulate the behavior of aquaculture ponds.The results show that a 36 hr aeration interval(Tc=36 hr:36 hr)and no aeration resulted in high concentrations of NH4-N in the water column.Using a 12 hr interval time(Tc=12 hr:12 hr)resulted in higher NO2--N and NO3--N concentrations than any other aeration mode.Results from an 8 hr interval time(Tc=8 hr:8 hr)and 24 hr interval time(Tc=24 hr:24 hr)were comparable with those of continuous aeration,and had the benefit of being in use for only half of the time,consequently reducing energy consumption. | Dantong Zhu Xiangju Cheng David J.Sample Mohammad Nayeb Yazdi | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020，32，4： | 4 |

| 6 | First Research on Marine and Nonmarine Sedimentary Sequences and Micropaleontologic Significance across Permian/Triassic Boundary in Iran (Isfahan and Abadeh)显示文摘Abundant ichthyoid remains, conodonts and holothurians sclerites were recovered near the Permian/Triassic boundary from a section south of Isfahan. Recovered ichthyoid remains include shark micro teeth and scales. The ichthyolith material is similar to a Fasanian ichthyolith from the Zakazane area in the Slovak karst of the Western Carpathians, which represents a subspecies of Acodina triassica . Conodont species are mostly neogondolellids. This fauna indicates that the sedimentary environment was marine, while to the north of localities near Isfahan and Zagross, terrestrial deposition was dominant at that time. Aluminasilicate and kaolin are present in a continental unit in Dopolan refractory main (Shahid Nilchian mine) and a section south of Chahriseh Village, north of Isfahan. | 7 | Bone marrow microenvironment: The guardian of leukemia stem cells显示文摘Bone marrow microenvironment (BMM) is the main sanctuary of leukemic stem cells (LSCs) and protects these cells against conventional therapies. However, it may open up an opportunity to target LSCs by breaking the close connection between LSCs and the BMM. The elimination of LSCs is of high importance, since they follow cancer stem cell theory as a part of this population. Based on cancer stem cell theory, a cell with stem cell-like features stands at the apex of the hierarchy and produces a heterogeneous population and governs the disease. Secretion of cytokines, chemokines, and extracellular vesicles, whether through autocrine or paracrine mechanisms by activation of downstream signaling pathways in LSCs, favors their persistence and makes the BMM less hospitable for normal stem cells. While all details about the interactions of the BMM and LSCs remain to be elucidated, some clinical trials have been designed to limit these reciprocal interactions to cure leukemia more effectively.
