| 1 | Review of low timing jitter mode-locked fiber lasers and applications in dual-comb absolute distance measurement显示文摘Passively mode-locked fiber lasers emit femtosecond pulse trains with excellent short-term stability. The quantum-limited timing jitter of a free running femtosecond erbium-doped fiber laser working at room temperature is considerably below one femtosecond at high Fourier frequency. The ultrashort pulse train with ultralow timing jitter enables absolute time-of-flight measurements based on a dual-comb implementation, which is typically composed of a pair of optical frequency combs generated by femtosecond lasers. Dead-zone-free absolute distance measurement with sub-micrometer precision and kHz update rate has been routinely achieved with a dual-comb configuration, which is promising for a number of precision manufacturing applications, from large step-structure measurements prevalent in microelectronic profilometry to three coordinate measurements in large-scale aerospace manufacturing and shipbuilding. In this paper, we first review the sub-femtosecond precision timing jitter characterization methods and approaches for ultralow timing jitter mode-locked fiber laser design. Then, we provide an overview of the state-of-the-art dual-comb absolute ranging technology in terms of working principles, experimental implementations, and measurement precisions. Finally, we discuss the impact of quantum-limited timing jitter on the dual-comb ranging precision at a high update rate. | 2 | High pulse energy fiber/solid-slab hybrid picosecond pulse system for material processing on polycrystalline diamonds显示文摘We demonstrate an all polarization-maintaining(PM) fiber mode-locked laser seeded, hybrid fiber/solid-slab picosecond pulse laser system which outputs 40 μJ, 10 ps pulses at the central wavelength of 1064 nm. The beam quality factors M2 in the unstable and stable directions are 1.35 and 1.31, respectively. 15 μJ picosecond pulses at the central wavelength of 355 nm are generated through third harmonic generation(THG) by using two Li B3 O5(LBO) crystals, in order to get better processing efficiency on polycrystalline diamonds. The high pulse energy and beam quality of these ultraviolet(UV) picosecond pulses are confirmed by latter experiments of material processing on polycrystalline diamonds. | 3 | High pulse energy femtosecond large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber laser显示文摘A high pulse energy femtosecond fiber laser based on a large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber is demonstrated. A segment of Yb-doped single-polarization large-mode-area photonic crystal fiber with extremely low nonlinearity is explored as gain media of this fiber laser, resulting in intrinsically environmentally stability. The fiber laser is based on a linear cavity with dispersion compensation free configuration, and the stable mode-locking is obtained by a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM). The fiber laser directly generates 2.5 W of average power at a repetition rate of 51.4 MHz, corresponding to a single pulse energy of 50 nJ. The output pulse duration is 4.2 ps, which is dechirped to 410 fs after extracavity dispersion compensation. | 4 | PECTATE LYASE-LIKE10 is associated with pollen wall development in Brassica campestris显示文摘PECTATE LYASE‐LIKE10(PLL10) was previously identified as one of the differentially expressed genes both in microspores during the late pollen developmental stages and in pistils during the fertilization process in Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris ssp. chinensis). Here, antisense‐RNA was used to study the functions of BcPLL10 in Chinese cabbage. Abnormal pollen was identified in the transgenic lines(bcpll10‐4, ‐5, and ‐6). In fertilization experiments, fewer seeds were harvested when the antisense‐RNA lines were used as pollen donor. In vivo and in vitro pollen germination assays less germinated pollen tubes were observed in bcpll10 lines. Scanning electron microscopy observation verified that the tryphine materials were over accumulated around the pollen surface and sticked them together in bcpll10.Moreover, transmission electron microscopy observation revealed that the internal endintine was overdeveloped and predominantly occupied the intine, and disturbed thenormal proportional distribution of the two layers in the non‐germinal furrow region; and no obvious demarcation existed between them in the germinal furrow region in the bcpll10 pollen. | 6 | Amniotic Membrane Transplantation for Conjunctival Tumor显示文摘Purpose: To evaluate the possibility of amniotic membrane transplantation (AMT) for the treatment of conjunctival tumor.Methods: Preserved AMT was performed in 26 patients (26 eyes) with conjunctival tumor, including 9 eyes (34.62%) with malignant tumor (conjunctival malignant melanoma,corneal and conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma, conjunctival lymphoma), 17 eyes(65.38%) with benign tumor(conjunctival papilloma, conjunctival dermoid tumor, conjunctival nevus, hemangioma etc.).Result: All the patients are followed up for 1 ~53 months. No acute rejection was observed after preserved AMT. Ideal healing was found in conjunctiva wound.Conclusion: Preserved AMT is a very effective method to repair wound after giant conjunctival tumor operation. | 8 | Oxaliplatin,Fluorouracil and Leucovorin (FOLFOX) as First-line Chemotherapy for Metastatic or Recurrent Colorectal Cancer Patients显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the efficiency and safety of the oxaliplatin, fluorouracil(5-FU)and leucovorin regimen(FOLFOX)in previously untreated patients with metastatic or recurrent colorectal cancer. METHODS Previously untreated patients with metastatic or recurrent colorectal cancer received 100 mg/m2 of oxaliplatin intravenously(IV)over 2 h on day 1,and IV 400 mg/m2 of leucovorin over 2 h followed by a bolus of 400 mg/m2 of 5-FU.Then 2,600~3,000 mg/m2 of 5-FU was administered by continuous infusion over 46 h. RESULTS An evaluated response rate was determined for 97 of 105 treated patients.The overal response rate was 35.1%,9 patients(9.3%) had a complete response and 25 patients(25.8%)a partial response.Thirty-two patients(33.0%)developed stable disease and 32.0%of the patients progressed.The median time to progression(TTP)was 7.7 months and the median overal survival 20.5 months.One and 2-year survival rates were 68%and 32%.Toxic effects based on the National Cancer Institute-Common Toxicity Criteria(NCI-CTC),reaching grade 3/4 were:neutropenia 12.3%, anemia 11.3%,vomiting 4.1%and diarrhea 7.2%.Grade 3 neuropathy was 5.1%.The overall survival rate of patients who had received a radical resection was superior to the patients who had not received a operation,or had received a pal iative resection(P=0.0658).The serum levels of CEA,ALP and LDH had no relationship with survival(P>0.05). | 11 | Seasonal variations of tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate and cytotoxicity of organic extracts in water samples from Wuhan, China显示文摘Tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate(TCEP) is a typical phosphate flame retardant. Its potential adverse health effects have recently aroused concern. We investigated the seasonal variations of TCEP concentrations in the raw, finished and tap water samples from two drinking water treatment plants(DWTPs) in China, and evaluated the cytotoxicity and apoptosis/necrosis of organic extracts(OEs) in water samples. We enriched TCEP and OEs in water samples by solid-phase extraction method. The TCEP concentrations in water samples were determined by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. Normal human liver cell line L02 was treated with OEs in the water samples, and then the cytotoxicity and apoptosis/necrosis were measured by 3-(4, 5-dimethyithiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide assay and flow cytometry, respectively. The results showed that cytotoxicities of OEs in raw water samples from both DWTPs in summer and winter were stronger than those in spring and autumn, cytotoxicity of OEs in finished and tap water samples from both DWTPs in summer and autumn were stronger than those in spring and winter. In all seasons, the maximal concentrations(100 mL water/mL cell culture) of OEs in the raw water samples from both DWTPs induced late apoptosis/necrosis. | 14 | Hepatocellular Carcinoma Fed by the Hepatic Artery Arising from the Superior Mesenteric Artery: Angiographic Analysis and Interventional Treatment显示文摘Objective: To investigate the angiographic characteristics and the interventional catheterization techniques of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) fed by aberrant hepatic arteries arising from the superior mesenteric artery (SMA), namely SMA type. Methods: Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) manifes-tations and the data from interventional treatment in 41 cases of SMA type HCCs were retrospectively reviewed. The frequency of the aberrant arteries was summed up statistically and their anatomic charac-teristics (such as origin, course, branches and distribution) and the relationship with catheterization were described and analyzed. Results: Of 350 HCC cases, SMA type HCCs were found in 41 cases (11.9%),including accessory right hepatic artery (15 cases, 36.5%), replaced right hepatic artery (16 cases, 39.0%),common hepatic artery (8 cases, 19.5%) and celiac artery arising from SMA (2 cases, 5.0%). Of the 31 cases with accessory or replaced right hepatic arteries, right hepatic arteries were small or absent on celiac angiograph in 29 cases (94.0%), and there was an avascular zone on the right liver. Superselective catheter-ization was successfully performed in 25 cases (61%) by using RH catheter, but the rest acquired successful superselective catheterization by using Cobra, Simmon catheters and microcatheters. Conclusion: SMA type is a commonly seen variation of hepatic arterial blood supply. Part of the tumor had atubular arrangement. Around the sheets of tumors cells there was a large amount ofuniform red stick-like substances. The above matter represented positive in PAS stain.Most of the above matter was yellow, while less of the matter showed red in VG stain.Transmission electron microscopy showed that there were tight junctions between tumorcells.
