| 1 | Identification and characterization of Argonaute gene family and meiosis-enriched Argonaute during sporogenesis in maize显示文摘Argonaute(AGO) proteins play a key role in regulation of gene expression through small RNA‐directed RNA cleavage and translational repression, and are essential for multiple developmental processes. In the present study, 17 AGO genes of maize(Zea mays L., ZmAGOs) were identified using a Hidden Markov Model and validated by rapid amplification of cDNA ends assay. Subsequently, quantitative PCR revealed that expressions of these genes were higher in reproductive than in vegetative tissues. AGOs presented five temporal and spatial expression patterns, which were likely modulated by DNA methylation, 50‐untranslated exons and microRNA‐mediated feedback loops. Intriguingly, ZmAGO18 b was highly expressed in tassels during meiosis. Furthermore, in situ hybridization and immunofluorescence showed that ZmAResearchGO18b was enriched in the tapetum and germ cells in meiotic anthers. | 2 | Innovation in the Computing System of Straightening Force显示文摘Currently in China, the computing system of the straightening force of the six-rollers straightening machine generally follows the traditional computing system. The force status of the traditional computing system for the straightening force deviates far away from the actual force status of the roller system in the six-rollers straightening machine. In the traditional system, the computing model of the straightening force of the six-roller straightening machine was based on the roller shape of hyperbola, which led to the length of the contacting line between the tube and the straightening roller to be excessively short, i.e., only 0.1–0.2 of the length of the roller. Thus the constructed computing system has relatively large difference from the actual measured result. To solve the above problems, flattening straightening and bend straightening are analyzed on the basis of materials mechanics and bend beam theory, the roller shape using the envelope method of А.И.Целиков is generated, and a new computing system for straightening force in six-rollers straightening machine is built. The roller shape of the straightening roller, on which the new computing system for the straightening force is based, is designed according to the envelope method under the condition of ideally full contacting between the tube and the roller body of the straightening roller, therefore the new computing model accords with the practical status of straightening force. According to the comparison of the new computing system with finite element method and the actual measured result of straightening force, it has been proved that the computation accuracy of the new computing system for straightening force satisfies the practical requirements of engineering. New six-rollers straightening machines are designed and manufactured according to the new calculation system, and the new machines not only have higher precision and quality, but also have adopted the force sensor and computer and combined with the new computing system for straightening force to realize the fully automatic adjustment of the straightening machine. | 4 | qRgls1.06, a major QTL conferring resistance to gray leaf spot disease in maize显示文摘Gray leaf spot(GLS)caused by Cercospora zeae-maydis and C.zeina is an extremely devastating leaf disease that limits maize production annually.The use of GLS-resistant maize hybrids is the most cost-effective approach for reducing losses.Resistance to GLS is quantitatively inherited in maize(Zea mays L.)and further sources of resistance remain to be analyzed.Here,we detected qRgls1.06,a major quantitative trait locus for GLS resistance in bin 1.06 that explained approximately 55%of the phenotype variance.Fine mapping over 2 consecutive years localized qRgls1.06 to a 2.38-Mb region.Homozygous qRgls1.06^(WGR/WGR) plants in DZ01 background displayed higher GLS resistance and 100-grain weight than DZ01 plants.The GLS responses of several susceptible elite inbred lines were improved by the introduction of qRgls1.06 by marker-assisted backcrossing.Our findings extend the understanding of the genetic basis of resistance to GLS and provide a set of resistant germplasm for genetic improvement of resistance to GLS in maize. | Hao Sun Lihong Zhai Feng Teng Zhihong Li Zuxin Zhang | 2021 | The Crop Journal2021,9,2: | 2 |
| 5 | Synergistic Effect between Nano-ceramic Lubricating Additives and Electroless Deposited Ni-W-P Coating显示文摘The major solving ways for the material wear are surface modification and lubrication.Currently,the researches at home and abroad are all limited to the single study of either nano-lubricating oil additive or electroless deposited coating.The surface coating has high hardness and high wear resistance,however,the friction reduction performance of the coating with high hardness is not good,the thickness of the coating is limited,and the coating can not regenerate after wearing.The nano-lubricating additives have good tribological performance and self-repair function,but under heavy load,the self-repair rate to the worn surface with the nano-additives is smaller than the wearing rate of the friction pair.To solve the above problems,the Ni-W-P alloy coating and deposition process with excellent anti-wear,and suitable for industrial application were developed,the optimum bath composition and process can be obtained by studying the influence of the bath composition,temperature and PH value to the deposition rate and the plating solution stability.The tribological properties as well as anti-wear and friction reduction mechanism of wear self-repair nano-ceramic lubricating additives are also studied.The ring-block abrasion testing machine and energy dispersive spectrometer are used to explore the internal relation between the coating and the nano-lubricating oil additives,and the tribology mechanism,to seek the synergetic effect between the two.The test results show that the wear resistance of Ni-W-P alloy coating(with heat treatment and in oil with nano-ceramic additives) has increased hundreds times than 45 steel as the metal substrate in basic oil,the friction reduction performance is improved.This research breaks through the bottleneck of previous separate research of the above-mentioned two methods,and explores the combination use of the two methods in industrial field. | CHEN Min CHENG Wushan ZHAO Zuxin HUANG Xiaobo | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,1: | 2 |
| 6 | AGO_18b negatively regulates determinacy of spikelet meristems on the tassel central spike in maize显示文摘The maize tassel represents an indeterminate male inflorescence. The number of primordia that a given inflorescence meristem produces is related to its determinacy, i.e., capacity for continued meristem activity.Transcription factors(TFs) controlling determinacy in tassel axillary meristems are well studied in maize, and small RNAs are known to influence tassel development by repressing targets, including tassel-related TFs. As core components of the RNA-inducible silence complex(RISC),Argonaute(AGO) proteins are required for small RNAmediated repression. Here, we characterized the biological function of AGO_18b, a tassel-enriched AGO. The abundance of AGO_18b transcripts gradually increased during tassel development from inception to gametogenesis and were enriched in the inflorescence meristem and axillary meristems of the tassel. Repressing AGO_18b expression resulted in more spikelets, which contributed to a longer central spike of the tassel. Additionally, the transcripts of several HD-ZIP Ⅲ TFs that were canonical targets of micro RNA_166(miR_166) accumulated in the AGO_18b repressed lines. | 7 | New mechanism of FA in composted sludge inducing Cu fixation on Albite in open-pit mine soil显示文摘Fulvic acid(FA),typical organic matter derived from humification process in composted sludge,possesses the potential to remediate mine soils contaminated by heavy metals.To understand the cooper(Cu)immobilizing process in open-pit mine soil induced by FA,changes of Cu speciation in mixture of open-pit mine soil and composted sludge was tracked over 180 days.It was observed that the organic-bound and residual fraction of Cu increased dramatically with the corresponding decrease of Fe/Mn oxide-bound Cu in the first 60 days,then the organic-bound fraction decreased to about its initial proportion during 60-120 days,while residual fraction still increased,and the proportion of residual Cu accounted for over85%and became stable after 120 days.To reveal the mechanism of FA inducing Cu fixation on Albite which is the main phase of soil primary ore,two groups of Cu adsorption experiments with and without FA were designed.With the addition of FA,the adsorption capacity of Cu by Albite increased by 1.55 times and the content of residual Cu in Albite increased by7.7 times.It was found that the Cu absorbed in smaller Albite particle induced by FA formed a secondary mineral——Chrysocolla,causing increase of residual fraction of Cu.These results revealed the mechanism:FA was absorbed on the surface of Albite after complexing with Cu ions in the solution,and then it induced Cu into the interlayer and pore channels of Albite.The Cu in the Albite was immobilized by forming Chrysocolla finally. | Jiapeng Wan Yifan Zeng Mei Wang Bin Dong Zuxin Xu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,6: | 1 |

| 9 | A Case Study of Typical Regional Pollution Transport in Fuzhou City显示文摘Based on data of PM_(2. 5) hourly concentration and HYSPLIT model backward trajectory in coastal cities of Fujian Province during January 25- 26,2014,a typical regional pollution process affecting Fujian from the north to the south and the east to the west on January 26 was investigated. Taking Fuzhou as an example,based on weather situation on the ground and at high altitudes as well as corresponding meteorological data such as wind direction,wind velocity,and visibility,the changes of meteorological elements before,during and after the pollution were compared.Based on the V-3θ atmospheric vertical structure diagrams,the weather reasons for the generation,maintaining and dissipation of the pollution were discussed. The results indicated that the regional pollution was transported from the northeast to the southwest. The northeasterly air flow in front of the cold ridge strengthened and moved toward the east,so that the pollutant from the north affected Fujian form the north to the south and from the east to the west. As a result,there was a dramatic increase of pollutant concentration,rapid drop of visibility,and deterioration of air quality in the affected areas. The heavy pollution process featured high-speed transport and short-time generation. The air quality changed from good state to heavy pollution in just 3- 4 hours. The maximum of IAQIPMreached 280. The whole pollution process lasted for 14 hours. Solar radiation had been 2. 5deeply affected by aerosol clouds,so that atmospheric stratification was extremely stable. Along with the eastward movement of cold high pressure into the sea,the dominant wind direction near the ground changed from the northeast to the east,so that the source of the pollutant was cut off,and air quality quickly turned well. The changes of atmospheric vertical structure indicated that the high inversion layer and clouds near 700 hP a kept lower air clean and blocked upper pollution transport. The later sudden increase of wind speed and strengthening of atmospheric mechanical turbulent destroyed inversion layer,so that the upper pollutants invaded air near the ground rapidly. During the period of high pollution,the isothermal layer( aerosol clouds) leaded to decrease of wind speed,and the atmosphere became more stable. | 18 | TWO PROCEDURE OF MODEL RELIABILITY BASED OPTIMIZATION FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS显示文摘Recently, considerable emphasis has been laid to the reliability based optimization model for water distribution systems. But considerable computational effort is needed to determine the reliability based optimal design of large networks, even of mid sized networks. In this paper, a new methodology is presented for the reliability analysis for water distribution systems. This methodology consists of two procedures. The first is that the optimal design is constrained only by the pressure heads at demand nodes, done in GRG2. Because the reliability constrains are removed from the optimal problem, a number of simulations do not need to be conducted, so the computer time is greatly decreased. Then, the second procedure is a linear optimal search procedure. In this linear procedure, the optimal results obtained by GRG2 are adjusted by the reliability constrains. The results are a group of commercial diameters of pipes and the constraints of pressure heads and reliability at nodes are satisfied.
