4Characteristics of vertical ozone distribution in the lower troposphere in the Yangtze River Delta at Lin'an in the spring of 2001显示文摘We analyzed vertical distributions of ozone (O3) in the lower troposphere (< 5 km above ground) at Lin’an (119.75°E, 30.30°N), Zhejiang Province using electrochemical concen- tration cell (ECC) ozonesonde data obtained from February 21 to April 13, 2001. The results showed that the vertical O3 distributions are controlled by metrological conditions and the char- acteristics of O3 profiles are related to those of wet bulb potential temperature and wind field. O3 below 2 km showed that the strongest variability and enhanced O3 mixing ratios were associated with easterly winds that blow pollutants from the upwind source region of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region. Vertical O3 profiles below 5 km can be grouped into 5 categories: (1) peak mixing ratio type, (2) well-mixed type, (3) layered-structure type, (4) episodic pollution type and (5) alti- tudinal increasing type. Vertical distributions of O3 affected by regional transport of polluted air masses were investigated. Transport of polluted air from high latitudes of northern China, ac- companying subsiding motion of air and stagnant atmospheric conditions are important factors that lead to high mixing ratios of O3 at Lin’an. The stagnant atmospheric conditions associated with a continental high pressure system and pollution plume transported from the YRD and cen- tral-eastern China also lead to regional accumulation of O3 and high O3 mixing ratio at Lin’an. 5Soil-plant co-stimulation during forest vegetation restoration in a subtropical area of southern China显示文摘Background: Soil and vegetation have a direct impact on the process and direction of plant community succession, and determine the structure, function, and productivity of ecosystems. However, little is known about the synergistic influence of soil physicochemical properties and vegetation features on vegetation restoration. The aim of this study was to investigate the co-evolution of soil physicochemical properties and vegetation features in the process of vegetation restoration, and to distinguish the primary and secondary relationships between soil and vegetation in their collaborative effects on promoting vegetation restoration in a subtropical area of China.Methods: Soil samples were collected to 40 cm in four distinct plant communities along a restoration gradient from herb(4–5 years), to shrub(11–12 years), to Pinus massoniana coniferous and broadleaved mixed forest(45–46 years), and to evergreen broadleaved forest(old growth forest). Measurements were taken of the soil physicochemical properties and Shannon–Wiener index(SD), diameter at breast height(DBH), height(H), and biomass. Principal component analysis, linear function analysis, and variation partitioning analysis were then performed to prioritize the relative importance of the leading factors affecting vegetation restoration.Results: Soil physicochemical properties and vegetation features showed a significant trend of improvement across the vegetation restoration gradient, reflected mainly in the high response rates of soil organic carbon(SOC)(140.76%), total nitrogen(TN)(222.48%), total phosphorus(TP)(59.54%), alkaline hydrolysis nitrogen(AN)(544.65%),available phosphorus(AP)(53.28%), species diversity(86.3%), biomass(2906.52%), DBH(128.11%), and H(596.97%).The soil properties(pH, SOC, TN, AN, and TP) and vegetation features(biomass, DBH, and H) had a clear coevolutionary relationship over the course of restoration. The synergistic interaction between soil properties and vegetation features had the greatest effect on biomass(55.55%–72.37%), and the soil properties contributed secondarily(3.30%–31.44%). The main impact factors of biomass varied with the restoration periods.Conclusions: In the process of vegetation restoration, soil and vegetation promoted each other. 6High Performance Concrete and Its Typical Mixes显示文摘- With the modern development of chemical and mineral admixtures, it is now possible to produce much higher performance concrete than before. Higher performance does not only mean higher strength, but also better durability, lower risk of thermal cracking and higher dimensional stability etc. The three most effective admixtures for producing high performance concrete are superplastieizer, pulverized fuel ash and condensed silica fume. 12Utilization of a spiropyran derivative in a polymeric film optode for selective fluorescent sensing of zinc ion显示文摘A new spiropyran derivative was synthesized and first utilized in a polymeric film-based optical sensor for zinc ion. Spiropyrans, combining the characteristics of metal binding and signal transduction, show potential function in the design of optical chemical sensors (optodes) toward metal ions. When embedded in a plasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane, the newly synthesized spiropyran derivative 1 exhibits obvious fluorescence enhancement at 630 nm in the presence of zinc ion in aqueous solution. With the optimum condition described, the optode membrane responds to zinc ion over a dynamic range of 4.94×10?7 to 4.15×10?4 mol·L?1, with a detection limit of 1.51×10?7 mol·L?1.
