| 5 | Toxicity Evaluation of Freshwater Cyanobacterium Microcystis aeruginosa PCC 7806: Ⅱ Nephrotoxicity in Rats显示文摘Nephrotoxic potential of laboratory cultures of freshwater cyanobacterium (blue-green al ga) Microcystis aeruginosa PCC 7806 (Pasteur Institute) was assessed in male rats. The ani mals were injected intraperitoneally with 0. 5, 1. 0 and 2. 0 LD50 doses of lyophilized cell ex tract. Elevated plasma urea and creatinine levels were accompanied by decrease in protein and albumin levels, followed by hematuria, proteinuria and bilirubinuria. Also decrease in kidney lactate dehydrogenase and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase indicated possible nephrotoxic po tential of the cyanobacteria. The extract also produced various hematological changes associat ed with stagnant type of hypoxia. | 8 | Bone Density and Mechanical Properties in Femoral Bone of Swim Loaded Aged Mice显示文摘Effects of swirnming on bone density and mechanical properties of femur were investigated in aged male and female mice. R/1 strain of senescence accelerated mouse (SAM) at eleven months old was used. Two groups of males and two groups of females each consisting of 7 mice were used. One male and one female groups were loaded with a swim regiment of 40 min a day, 5 days a week for 6 consecutive weeks. The remaining groups were used as the controls. All mice were fed with the standard diet and water ad libitum during the experiments.The results of this study indicated that (i) the hady weight was significantly (P<0.05) lower in the swimming groups than in the control groups in boh sexes. (ii) The bone density was significantly higher (P <0.05) in the swimming groups than in the control groups in boh sexes. However, there was no sighficant difference in cortical thickness index. (iii) In the mechanical properties of bone, there were no significant differences in the level of the maximum breaking force, the ultimate stress and the deformation between the swimndng and the contro groups in beth sexes. | 13 | MULTIPLIERS AND TENSOR PRODUCTS OF WEIGHTED L^p-SPACES显示文摘Let G be a locally compact unimodular group with Haar measure rmdx and ω be the Beurling’s weight function on G (Reiter, [10]). In this paper the authors define a space Aωp,q (G) and prove that Aωp,q (G) is a translation invariant Banach space. Fur- thermore the authors discuss inclusion properties and show that if G is a locally compact abelian group then Aωp,q (G) admits an approximate identity bounded in Lω1 (G). It is also proved that the space Lωp (G) Lω1 Lωq (G) is isometrically isomorphic to the space Aωp,q (G) and the space of multipliers from Lωp (G) to Lq-1, (G) is isometrically isomorphic to the dual of the space Aωp,q (G) iff G satisfies a property Ppq. At the end of this work it is showed that if G is a locally compact abelian group then the space of all multipliers from Lω1 (G) to Aωp,q (G) is the space Aωp,q (G). | S.
