| 1 | Microbial profile and antibiotic sensitivity pattern in bile cultures from endoscopic retrograde cholangiography patients显示文摘AIM:To identify the frequency of bacterial growth,the most commonly grown bacteria and their antibiotic susceptibility,and risk factors for bacterial colonization in bile collected from patients with different biliary diseases.METHODS:This prospective study was conducted between April 2010 and August 2011.Patients with various biliary disorders were included.Bile was aspirated by placing a single-use,5F,standard sphincterotome catheter into the bile duct before the injection of contrast agent during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography (ERCP).Bile specimens were transported to the microbiology laboratory in blood culture bottles within an anaerobic transport system.Bacteria were cultured and identified according to the standard protocol used in our clinical microbiology laboratory.The susceptibilities of the organisms recovered were identified using antimicrobial disks,chosen according to the initial gram stain of the positive cultures.RESULTS:Ninety-one patients (27% male,mean age 53.7 ± 17.5 years,range:17-86 years) were included in the study.The main indication for ERCP was benign biliary disease in 79 patients and malignant disease in 12 patients.The bile culture was positive for bacterial growth in 46 out of 91 (50.5%) patients.The most frequently encountered organisms were Gram-negative bacteria including Escherichia coli (28.2%),Pseudomonas (17.3%) and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (15.2%).There were no significant differences between patients with malignant and benign disease (58% vs 49%,P = 0.474),patients with acute cholangitis and without acute cholangitis (52.9% vs 50%,P = 0.827),patients who were empirically administered antibiotics before intervention and not administered (51.4% vs 60.7%,P = 0.384),with regard to the bacteriobilia.We observed a large covering spectrum or low resistance to meropenem,amikacin and imipenem.CONCLUSION:We did not find a significant risk factor for bacteriobilia in patients with biliary obstruction.A bile sample for microbiological analysis may become a valuable diagnostic tool as it leads to more accurate selection of antibiotics for the treatment of cholangitis. | Muhsin Kaya Remzi Bestas Fatma Bacalan Ferhat Bacaksz Esma Gülsun Arslan Mehmet Ali Kaplan | 2012 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2012，18，27： | 13 |
| 2 | Mathematical, Mathematics Educational, and Educational Values in Mathematical Modeling Tasks显示文摘Purpose:The purpose of this study is to explore the mathematical values,mathematics educational values,and educational values invoIved in mathematical modeling tasks based on different mathematical modeling perspectives.Design/Approach/Methods:In this con text,the prese nt study is a qualitative research based on document analysis.The data were analyzed usingsemantic content analysis,and the selected modeling tasks based on different mathematical modeling perspectives were examined at the sentence level.Findings:Control,mystery,and openness mathematical values appeared in all mathematical modeling tasks,and rationalism and objectivism mathematical values appeared in realistic/applied and socio-critical modeli ng perspectives.Product,exploration,creating,releva nee,pleasure,and application mathematics educational values also emerged in all modeling tasks.Educational values of social justice,equity,social welfare,humanity,and altruism were more important in the socio critical modeling,while the value of individualism was more emphasized in the model-eliciting approach.Originality/Value:By determining mathematical,mathematics educational,and educational values involved in mathematical modeling tasks based on different mathematical modeling perspectives,an effective and more value-balaneed mathematical modeling instruction can be provided. | Yiiksel Dede Veysel Akcakin Gürcan Kaya | 2021 | ECNU Review of Education2021，4，2： | 4 |
| 3 | Differential diagnosis in ulcerative colitis in an adolescent: Chronic granulomatous disease needs extra attention显示文摘Chronic granulomatous disease(CGD) is a primary immune deficiency that is commonly diagnosed under the age of 5 years(95%) and is rarely seen in adulthood. CGD may manifest as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) in childhood. Without proper diagnosis, these patients may be monitored for years as IBD; some may even be regarded as steroid-resistant ulcerative colitis(UC) and end up having a colectomy. | 4 | Effect of sodium replacement on the quality characteristics of pastırma(a dry-cured meat product)显示文摘This study aims to investigate the effect of sodium replacement on the quality characteristics of pastırma.For this purpose,pastırma production with four different salt mixtures(Ⅰ.100%NaCl;Ⅱ.50%NaCl+50%KCl;Ⅲ.40%NaCl+40%KCl+20%CaCl_(2);Ⅳ.30%NaCl+40%KCl+20%CaCl_(2)+10%MgCl_(2))were carried out using traditional method.The use of different salt mixtures for pastırma had no statistically significant effect on the microbial counts and residual nitrite of the final product.The a*and b*values were affected by this treatment.The salt mixture containing CaCl_(2) or CaCl_(2)+MgCl_(2) significantly decreased the pH values and sensory scores.The eighteen volatile compounds were affected by the salt mixtures.Na^(+),K^(+),Ca^(2+),and Mg^(2+)had a certain increase depending on their ratio in the salt mixtures.The highest Cathepsin activity in all pastırma samples was observed in Cathepsin B+L.The salt mixture with NaCl+KCl+CaCl_(2)+MgCl_(2) increased acid lipase activity.However,this mixture had no significant effect on neutral lipase activity. | BarışYalınkılıç Güzin Kaban Mükerrem Kaya | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023，12，1： | 2 |
