Development of biomedical publications on ametropia research in PubMed from 1845 to 2010:a bibliometric analysis显示文摘We have carried out a bibliometric analysis on the development of ametropia literature to determine its growth rule and tendency, and to provide the basis for the problems related to ametropia research.Literatures that contained the descriptors of ametropia in title or paper published before Nov.10,2010 in PubMed databases(www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Pubmed) were selected. As bibliometric indicators of ametropia, biomedical journals referring to ophthalmology by ISSN were calculated. The principal bibliometric indicators:Price's and Bradford's laws were applied on the increase or dispersion of scientific literature, the participation index of languages and the journals.By means of manual coding, literatures were classified according to documents study and statistical analysis. The literatures cited in ametropia, astigmatism, myopia and hypermetropia had accumulated to 26475,which consists of Review(n =1560),Randomized Controlled Trial(n =776),Practice Guideline(n =10),Meta-Analysis(n =23),Letter(n =1222),Editorial(n =328),Clinical Trial(n =1726) and Others(n =20830);and Humans(n =23073),Animals(n=1434) and Others(n =1968).1136 literatures were included in PubMed Central,22384 in MEDLINE and 2955 in others. The ametropia literatures rose every 5 years which of the ametropia-year cumulated amount of the literatures had three periods:before 1900,slowly increasing from 1901 to 1950,rapidly rising from 1951 to 2010(increased approximate exponentiation exponent).Sixty kinds of languages were listed in PubMed databases,of which English was dominant for aborting to ametropia research documents before 2010(77.32%,20471/26475).The document language of top eight accounted for 95.58%(English,German,French,Japanese,Russian,Italian,Spanish,Chinese),and others for 4.42%(1171/26475).The SCI database includes 48 ophthalmologic journals and the impact factor of 39 journals is ≥ 1 on Thomson-Reuters in 2010.Of 48 ophthalmologic journals, there were 14785 documents(55.85%) of ametropia, astigmatism, myopia, and hypermetropia.Others were without exception. The bibliometric analysis results show that ametropia literature are increased progressively, approximate exponentiation exponent during 1951-2010.In addition, ametropia research has become more popular since nearly half century.Chang-Tai Xu, Bo-Rong Pan 2011International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2011,4,1:7
Mapping theme trends and knowledge structures for human neural stem cells:a quantitative and co-word biclustering analysis for the 2013-2018 period显示文摘Neural stem cells, which are capable of multi-potential differentiation and self-renewal,have recently been shown to have clinical potential for repairing central nervous system tissue damage. However, the theme trends and knowledge structures for human neural stem cells have not yet been studied bibliometrically. In this study,we retrieved 2742 articles from the PubMed database from 2013 to 2018 using 'Neural Stem Cells' as the retrieval word.Co-word analysis was conducted to statistically quantify the characteristics and popular themes of human neural stem cell-related studies.Bibliographic data matrices were generated with the Bibliographic Item Co-Occurrence Matrix Builder. We identified 78 high-frequency Medical Subject Heading(MeSH)terms.A visual matrix was built with the repeated bisection method in gCLUTO software.A social network analysis network was generated with Ucinet 6.0 software and GraphPad Prism 5 software. The analyses demonstrated that in the 6-year period, hot topics were clustered into five categories. As suggested by the constructed strategic diagram, studies related to cytology and physiology were well-developed,whereas those related to neural stem cell applications, tissue engineering, metabolism and cell signaling, and neural stem cell pathology and virology remained immature.Neural stem cell therapy for stroke and Parkinson’s disease, the genetics of microRNAs and brain neoplasms,as well as neuroprotective agents,Zika virus,Notch receptor, neural crest and embryonic stem cells were identified as emerging hot spots. These undeveloped themes and popular topics are potential points of focus for new studies on human neural stem cells.Wen-Juan Wei Bei Shi Xin Guan Jing-Yun Ma Ya-Chen Wang Jing Liu 2019Neural Regeneration Research2019,14,10:5
Chinese research into severe ulcerative colitis has increased in quantity and complexity显示文摘AIM To investigate the current state of research output from Chinese studies into severe ulcerative colitis(SUC) using a bibliometric analysis of publications. METHODS The contents of the Chinese periodical databases WANFANG, VIP, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure were searched for all papers regarding UC or SUC published in last the 15 years (from 2001 to 2015). The number of publications in each year was recorded to assess the temporal trends of research output. All SUC related publications were downloaded and the complexity of this research was evaluated with methods described previously. The number of patients with SUC reported each year was recorded and their clinical characteristics were analyzed using information available in the relevant papers. RESULTS There were 13499 publications regarding UC published in Chinese medical journals between 2001 and 2015, of which 201 focused on SUC. The number of publications increased rapidly with more than half of all papers being published in the most recent 5-year period. There was a significant increase in analyticalstudies and clinical trials over the study period (P < 0.01), with research into the management of SUC, included pharmacotherapy, nutrition support as well as surgery, predominating. Almost half (46.2%) of the observational analytical studies and clinical trials focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine, with little research on the efficacy of cyclosporin and infliximab in disease management. About 6222 patients with SUC were reported in the 201 SUC relevant papers, with a ratio of male/female of 1.38. The number of patients reported in each 5-year period significantly increased. The colectomy rate and short-term mortality rate were 7.7% and 0.8% respectively. The most commonly employed operation was total proctocolectomy with ileal pouch-anal anastomosis.CONCLUSION The output and complexity of research related to SUC in China increased significantly over the previous 15 years, however few of these studies focused on salvage therapy.Cheng-Xin Luo Zhong-Hui Wen Yu Zhen Zhu-Jun Wang Jing-Xi Mu Min Zhu Qin Ouyang Hu Zhang 2018World Journal of Clinical Cases2018,6,3:2

The Bibliometric Studies on China’s Corpus-Based Interpreting Studies显示文摘Shlesinger (1998) first proposed that corpus-based interpreting studies(CIS) should be regarded as an offshoot of corpus-based translation studies (CTS).In China, owing to the development and compilation of interpreting corpora, CIShas gained momentum since 2007. To review the past achievements in this regard, the present paper first summarizes four readily compiled interpreting corpora. Then, based on the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CKNI), it conducts thestatistics mainly on relevant published papers in Chinese Social Science and Index(CSSCI) journals. Next, it pinpoints a bibliometric analysis on the data by taking intoaccount three parameters, namely, H index, reference citation and their distribution. Then, it makes a detailed review and comments on the background of CIS and itsparadigm, theoretical interpretation of CIS and the research areas of CIS, standardsof developing interpreting corpora and solutions to difficulties in compilation ofinterpreting corpora, research orientations including topics and objects. At present, although CIS have attained preliminary findings and conclusions, it has mainly reliedon the theoretical and analytical frameworks of Systemic Functional Grammar andits utility in CIS, given the fact that it has introduced few interdisciplinary studies. As a result, CIS do not take full advantage of the paradigm of corpus linguistics norexplore into such research topics as features of interpretation, interpreters’ identitiesand interpreting styles. Finally, regarding future studies, the paper proposes that CISshould foreground the relevance of improving the mechanism of interpreting corpuscompilation in order to gain ground in new research methods and perspectives.LI Yang WANG Shaoshuang 2016北京第二外国语学院学报2016,38,5:0
Compiler testing: a systematic literature analysis显示文摘Compilers are widely-used infrastructures in accelerating the software development, and expected to be trustworthy. In the literature, various testing technologies have been proposed to guarantee the quality of compilers. However, there remains an obstacle to comprehensively characterize and understand compiler testing. To overcome this obstacle,we propose a literature analysis framework to gain insights into the compiler testing area.First,we perform an extensive search to construct a dataset related to compiler testing papers. Then,we conduct a bibliometric analysis to analyze the productive authors, the influential papers, and the frequently tested compilers based on our dataset. Finally,we utilize association rules and collaboration networks to mine the authorships and the communities of interests among researchers and keywords. Some valuable results are reported. We find that the USA is the leading country that contains the most influential researchers and institutions. The most active keyword is“random testing”.We also find that most researchers have broad interests within small-scale collaborators in the compiler testing area.Yixuan TANG Zhilei REN Weiqiang KONG He JIANG 2020Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,1:0
Burnout amongst radiologists:A bibliometric study from 1993 to 2020显示文摘BACKGROUND Burnout amongst radiologists is common in many different institutions and is increasing day by day.To battle burnout,we have to address the root causes already recognized in published literature. Therefore,it is crucial to examine and discern important publications.AIM To provide evidence-based data and trends related to burnout in radiologists so that researchers can work on it further and develop preventive strategies to overcome this problem.METHODS Bibliometric analysis conducted by two independent reviewers separately used Scopus Library for data extraction by using medical subject heading and International Classification of Diseases keywords.Forty-nine articles were selected for analysis after an extensive scrutiny.Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 20 was used for analysis.Pearson correlation coefficient,Kruskal Wallis test, and Mann-Whitney U test were applied.RESULTS The most productive period with regards to the number of publications was between 2017 and 2019.A total of 160 authors contributed to the topic burnout among radiologists, with an average of 3.26 authors per paper.About 41.68%of the authors were female, whilst 35%of them were first authors. The co-citation analysis by author involved 188 cited authors,13 of whom were cited at least 70 times.Only six out of forty-nine studies were funded by various government institutions and non-governmental organizations.CONCLUSION Current analysis casts a spotlight on important trends being witnessed in regard to the mental health of radiologists, including lack of funding for mental health research, narrowing of female vs male citation gap,as well as authorship and citation trends.Muhammad Fazal Hussain Qureshi Danish Mohammad Syed Mustafa Ali Shah Mahira Lakhani Muzna Shah Muhammad Hassan Ayub Sara Sadiq 2022World Journal of Psychiatry2022,12,2:0

Visualizing Patterns and Differences in Fine Particulate Matter(PM2.5) Research Between the USA and China over Last 25 Years: A Bibliometric Analysis显示文摘To reveal patterns in scientific research results and compare differences in studies on fine particulate matter (PM_(2.5)) between China and the USA, 6608 publications from 1992 to 2016 were collected from the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E)databaseandanalyzedbybibliometrics.Histcite^(TM), Bib Excel1.0.0.0, Net Draw and VOSviewer were used for statistical and visual analysis during this study. Publication outputs, journals, institutions, authors and author keywords were all analyzed to identify publication patterns, research hotspots and research trends. Based on this study, the number of publications produced in future years is expected to be at least twice that in 2016. The number of publications in China and the USA increased annually from 1992 through2014, promoted by improved social and economic conditions. Gross domestic product (GDP) was significantly positively correlated with the number of annual articles published in China and the USA (p<0.05). Through comparative analysis, it was observed that the output of publications in the USA before 2014 was larger than that in China. The total output of PM2.5-related publications in China increased rapidly and far exceeded that in the USA after 2014. It is predicted that the leading region for research on PM2.5 in the future would be China. Analysis of author keywords indicated that'chemical composition'and'source allocation'were the main research hotspots in China and the USA. This research on exposure would be valuable in the future because of the pollution problem in China. Moreover, patterns and differences in scientific outcomes were revealed in this study and this study might provide potential guidelines for future research and management.Shan De-xin Gao Jia-nan Liu Xiao Zhao Yue Sun Meng-rui Liu Lu Xu Zhen-xuan 2020Journal of Northeast Agricultural University(English Edition)2020,27,1:0
