| 1 | Eolian evidence from the Chinese Loess Plateau: the onset of the Late Cenozoic Great Glaciation in the Northern Hemisphere and Qinghai-Xizang Plateau uplift forcing显示文摘On the basis of a newly-constructed record of magnetic susceptibility (SUS) and the depositional rate change of eolian loess-red clay sequences in the last 7.2 Ma BP from the Loess Plateau, together with a comparison of a record of δ18O values from the equatorial East Pacific Ocean and eolian Quartz flux variations from the North Pacific Ocean, the evolutionary process of the Late Cenozoic Great Glaciation in the Northern Hemisphere can be divided into three stages: the arrival stage around 7.2—3.4 Ma BP, the initial stage at about 3.4—2.6 Ma BP, and the Great Ice Age since 2.6 Ma BP. | 2 | Large and meso-α scale characteristics of intense rainfall in the mid- and lower reaches of the Yangtze River显示文摘Meteorological conditions associated with intense rainfall and great floods over mid- and lower reaches of Yangtze River are studied by analyzing the large-, synoptic-and meso-a-scale circulation systems for 1991, 1996 and 1998. It is found that the advance and retreat of subtropical high over the West Pacific, the monsoon moisture surge from the South China Sea, cold air outbreak over mid- and high-latitudes, and the meso-α scale systems (250-2500 km) from the Tibetan Pleateau as well, are responsible for intense rainfall over the Yangtze River Valley. | 3 | 栓皮栎体胚诱导关键影响因素研究显示文摘Immature zygotic embryos of Quercus variabilis were as explants to induce somatic embryogenesis. Several factors influencing somatic embryogenesis have been assayed. Somatic embryos can be induced in MS and WPM basal medium, but there was more quantity, big size and high induction rate in MS medium. Induction rate was not significant cultured in light and dark condition. Zygotic embryos, collected in middle of July, gave higher rate of somatic embryogenesis than those collected on the earlier or later date. By adding 6-BA in medium individually, somatic embryogenesis appeared directly on the zygotic embryos without detectable callus. Secondary embryogenesis appeared in medium with 2,4-D individual or combined with 6-BA or TDZ. High induction frequency of 90% was achieved in MS medium supplemented with 0.5 mg·L -1 6-BA and 2,4-D, whereas the rate in hormone-free medium was only 16.7%. The genotypes of mother trees had an great impact on the inducing rate. Zygotic embryo surgery treatments were not favorable to embryogenesis. It was best to inoculate with entire zygotic embryos. | 4 | 阿房宫前殿遗址的考古勘探与发掘显示文摘The Epanggong Palace site of Qin period lies to the south of the Weihe River and to the west of the old Zaohe River course that extends 13 km west of Xi'an City. It stands opposite to the Qin capital Xianyang across the river. From October 2002 to December 2004, the Epanggong Palace Archaeological Team made a prospection on the anterior hall site,covering :350, 000 sq m, and revealed an area of 3, 000 sq m by trial and extensive excavations. The results include a rough understanding of the limits of the hall and the layout of its auxiliary buildings. It can be confirmed that the rammed earth foundations of the hall represents just the anterior hall of that of the Qin Epanggong Palace. What merits special notice is that there are no fire traces on the site of the anterior hall of the Qin Epanggong Palace, which forms a clear contrast to the archaeologically excavated Nos. 1-3 palaces in the Qin capital Xianyang that were destroyed by a great fire. Thus the excavations prove that the historically handed-down belief taking the Qin Epanggong Palace to have been fired by Xiang Yu is actually incorrect. | 5 | 小兴安岭红松阔叶混交林土壤动物群落研究显示文摘Soil animal communities of Pinus koraiensis broad_leaved mixed forest were studied.The purpose was to discuss the dynamic characteristic of soil animals and relationship with environmental factors.The ecosystem geography distribution law of soil animals, soil animals’role and function in ecological system were revealed.In June,August,October each year,three plots were selected. In each plot, four layers were sampled(litter layer,0~10 cm,10~20 cm & 20~30 cm),adding up to 72 soil sample.The area for large_sized soil animals was 50 cm×50 cm,and the area for middle_small_sized soil animals was 10 cm × 10 cm.Separated soil animals through adopting hand_picking method and Tullgren method respectively.Sampled the soil animals in two continuing years.Shannon_Wiener index was adopted to analyze the diversity of soil animals.Monad liner regression was used to search the relationship between soil animals and environmental factors.The dominant groups were Oribatida, Isotomidae.There were relatively great changes in groups and individual numbers of dominant groups and rare groups when the reason changed.The individual numbers of dominant groups and the groups of rare groups changed.The number of individual and group was the most in August.Obviously it correlated with climatic factors in middle temperate zone.The evenness was low and dominance was high. The diversity index was not most.Among the annual fluctuating there was a increasing trend. | 6 | 盘龙城商代宫殿基址讨论显示文摘The large-sized rammed-earth building foundations on the Panlongcheng site at Huangpi are remains of early Shang period palace complex. The No. 1 Panlongcheng palace consists of four rooms with wooden-framed walls. The two rooms in the middle each have two doors on the northern and southern sides respectively;while the two end rooms have only southern doors. So the No. 1 palace must have been in the center of the whole building complex. The roof supported by peripheral columns and wooden-framed walls can be reconstructed to be hipped and single- or double- eaved. The hypothesis that the No. 1 palace may have had projecting-eaves columns has not been confirmed. The No. 2 palace is an open hall without peripheral walls and room division; its roof is supported by peripheral columns only. The idea of reconstructing it as a building with pilasters and multiple rooms seems to lack archaeological evidence. The remaining vestiges show that there were side corridors in the two flanks of the main hall of the No. 2 palace. Referring to the Shang period palace material unearthed from the Shang city-site at Yanshi and other localities, it can be inferred that either of the Nos. 1 and 2 palaces must have had an eastern corridor and a western one, and, in addition, the No. 2 palace must have had a southern corridor with a gate house. The Nos. 1--3 palaces of the Panlongcheng site formed three compounds located one behind another, and belonged to the type of court-and-living building complex. Among them the No. 2 palace was the outer court for holding great ceremonies, the No. 1 palace was the inner court for handling daily administrative affairs, and the No. 3 palace was the king and queen's living place. To the southeast of the No. 2 palace remains a group of rammed-earth house-foundations, which must have been left over from another type of palace building, possibly an ancestral temple. The remaining city-walls at Panlongcheng must have belonged to the peripheral city-walls. The palace area is in the northeast of the enclosed area, accounting for 1/4 of the total. | 7 | 桑天牛卵长尾啮小蜂的繁殖生物学研究显示文摘The reproduction characteristics of Aprostocetus prolixus, which is a new parasitioid on Apriona germarii, were studied. It demonstrated that the female adult can generate offspring by either sex reproduction or parthenogenesis, but all the offspring were male if they were from the mode of parthenogenesis. The sex ratio, with investigating in nature, was 2.38∶1. The environmental conditions had notable influence on sex ratio, survival ratio and fecundity. Its sex ratio increased to 3.48∶1 by feeding complementary nutrition that adding with 20% honey. The temperature has great effect on Aprostocetus prolixus in terms of system research, of which adult longevity decreased with temperature from 17.5 ℃ to 35 ℃ and its ability of reproduction increased between 25 ℃ and 30 ℃ but the acme at 27.5 ℃. Without the feeding complementary nutrition, on the other hand, the female adult will both lose the ability of fecundity at the temperature below 17.5 ℃ and over 35 ℃. With humidity increasing from 40% to 80%, its fecundity increased significantly. This review briefly summarizes the Chinese Antarctic scientific research and output accomplished over the past 30 years. The developments and progress in Antarctic research and the enhancement of international scientific cooperation achieved through the implementation of the CHINARE program have been remarkable. Since the 1980 s, four permanent Chinese Antarctic research stations have been established successively and 33 CHINAREs have been completed. It suggests thatthey may be deposited in cooler and drier periods. The organic matter of the black sediments was mainiy from landplants, suggesting deposition under warmer and wetter climates. | 14 | Effects of terlipressin versus splenectomy on liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy in rats: What we know so far?显示文摘We read with great interest the article entitled ‘‘Comparative study of the effects of terlipressin versus splenectomy on liver regeneration after partial hepatectomy in rats’’ by Ulmer et al. [1]. The aim of this study was to analyse the impact of terlipressin versus splenectomy on postoperative liver function and liver regeneration in rats undergoing 70% partial hepatectomy. Ulmer and his colleagues concluded that neither the administration of terlipressin nor splenectomy improved liver regeneration after 70% partial hepatectomy in rats. This is a very interesting research in our understanding regarding the study of postoperative liver failure and liver regeneration after modulation of portal vein pressure. | 15 | Genesis of the Bianjiadayuan Pb-Zn polymetallic deposit, Inner Mongolia, China:Constraints from in-situ sulfur isotope and trace element geochemistry of pyrite显示文摘The Southern Great Xing’an Range (SGXR) which forms part of the eastern segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) is known as one of the most important Cu-Mo-Pb-Zn-Ag-Au metallogenic belts in China,hosting a number of porphyry Mo (Cu),skarn Fe (Sn),epithermal Au-Ag,and hydrothermal veintype Ag-Pb-Zn ore deposits.Here we investigate the Bianjiadayuan hydrothermal vein-type Ag-Pb-Zn ore deposit in the southern part of the SGXR.Porphyry Sn ±Cu ± Mo mineralization is also developed to the west of the Ag-Pb-Zn veins in the ore field.We identify a five-stage mineralization process based on field and petrologic studies including (i) the early porphyry mineralization stage,(ii) main porphyry mineralization stage,(iii) transition mineralization stage,(iv) vein-type mineralization stage and (v) late mineralization stage.Pyrite is the predominant sulfide mineral in all stages except in the late mineralization stage,and we identify corresponding four types of pyrites: Py1 is medium-grained subhedral to euhedral occurring in the early barren quartz vein;Py2 is medium- to fine-grained euhedral pyrite mainly coexisting with molybdenite,chalcopyrite,minor sphalerite and galena;Py3 is fine-grained,subhedral to irregular pyrite and displays cataclastic textures with micro-fractures;Py4 occurs as euhedral microcrystals and forms irregularly shaped aggregate with sphalerite and galena.LA-ICP-MS trace element analyses of pyrite show that Cu,Pb,Zn,Ag,Sn,Cd and Sb are partitioned into pyrite as structurally bound metals or mineral micro/nano-inclusions,whereas Co,Ni,As and Se enter the lattice via isomorphism in all types of pyrite.The Cu,Zn,Ag,Cd concentrations gradually increase from Py1 to Py4,which we correlate with cooling and mixing of ore-forming fluid with meteoric water.Py2 contains the highest contents of Co,Ni,Se,Te and Bi,suggesting high temperature conditions for the porphyry mineralization stage.Ratios of Co/Ni (0.03-10.79,average 2.13) and sulphur isotope composition of sulfide indicate typical hydrothermal origin for pyrites.The δ^34SCDT values of Py1 (0.42‰-1.61‰,average 1.16‰),Py2 (-1.23‰ to 0.82‰,average 0.35‰),Py3 (-0.36‰ to 2.47‰,average 0.97‰),Py4 (2.51‰-3.72‰,average 3.06‰),and other sulfides are consistent with those of typical porphyry deposit (-5‰ to 5‰),indicating that the Pb-Zn polymetallic mineralization in the Bianjiadayuan deposit is genetically linked to the Yanshanian (JurassiceCretaceous) magmatic-hydrothermal events.Variations of d34S values are ascribed to the changes in physical and chemical conditions during the evolution and migration of the ore-forming fluid.We propose that the high Sn content of pyrite in the Bianjiadayuan hydrothermal vein-type PbeZn polymetallic deposit can be used as a possible pathfinder to prospect for Sn mineralization in the surrounding area or deeper level of the ore field in this region. | Kai-Rui Song Li Tang Shou-Ting Zhang M.
