A promising new class of irradiation tolerant materials:Ti_2ZrHfV_(0.5)Mo_(0.2) high-entropy alloy显示文摘Recently, high-entropy alloys(HEAs) or multi-principal-element alloys with unprecedented physical, chemical, and mechanical properties, have been considered as candidate materials used in advanced reactors due to their promising irradiation resistant behavior. Here, we report a new single-phase bodycentered cubic(BCC) structured Ti_2 ZrHfV_(0.5)Mo_(0.2) HEA possessing excellent irradiation resistance, i.e.,scarcely irradiation hardening and abnormal lattice constant reduction after helium-ion irradiation, which is completely different from conventional alloys. This is the first time to report the abnormal XRD phenomenon of metallic alloys and almost no hardening after irradiation. These excellent properties make it to be a potential candidate material used as core components in next-generation nuclear reactors. The particular irradiation tolerance derives from high density lattice vacancies/defects. | Yiping Lu Hefei Huang Xuzhou Gao Cuilan Ren Jie Gao Huanzhi Zhang Shijian Zheng Qianqian Jin Yonghao Zhao Chenyang Lu Tongmin Wang Tingju Li | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,3: | 23
Synthesis of Ce:YAG Phosphor via Homogeneous Precipitation under Microwave Irradiation显示文摘Ultra-fine Ce:YAG phosphors were prepared by homogeneous precipitation under microwave irradiation method. The formation of Ce:YAG was investigated by means of XRD and DTA/TG. The purified YAG crystallized phase was obtained at a lower temperature (1100 ℃). Basically spherical Ce:YAG powders were indicated from TEM images, and the size of the particles is about 80 nm. Two peaks of 436 and 473 nm can be seen from the excitation spectrum in the range of 402~510 nm. A broad emission band located at 480~630 nm shows the phosphors prepared by this method have good emission properties. | 王勇 袁鹏 徐红燕 王介强 | 2006 | Journal of Rare Earths2006,24,z2: | 15
Inducement of chromosome translocation with small alien segments by irradiating mature female gametes of the whole arm translocation line显示文摘Haynaldia villosa Schur. (syn. Dasypyrum villosum Candargy, 2n=14, VV) has been proved to be an important genetic resource for wheat improvement. The development of translocation with small alien chromosome segments, especially interstitial translocation, will be helpful for better utilization of its useful genes. Up to now, most of the reported Triticum aestivum – H. villosa translocation lines are involved in a whole arm or large alien fragments. In this paper, we report a highly efficient approach for the creation of small chromosome segment translocation lines. Before flowering, the female gametes of wheat-H. villosa 6VS/6AL translocation line were irradiated by 60CO-γ ray at 160 Rad/M dosage rate and three dosages (1600, 1920, 2240 Rad). Anthers were removed from the irradiated florets on the same day and the florets were pollinated with normal fresh pollens of T. aestivum cv. Chinese Spring after 2-3 days. Genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) at mitosis metaphase of root-tip cell of M1 plants was used to detect the chromosome structural changes involving 6VS of H. villosa. Among the 534 M1 plants screened, 97 plants contained small segment chromosome structural changes of 6VS, including 80 interstitial translocation chromosomes, 57 terminal translocation chromosomes and 55 deletion chromosomes. For the 2240 Rad dosage treatment, the inducement frequencies of interstitial translo-cation, terminal translocation and deletion were 21.02%, 14.01%, and 14.65%, respectively, which were much higher than those previously reported. The M2 seeds were obtained by backcrossing of 74 M1 plants involving 146 chromosomes structural changes of 6VS, and it was found that the structural aberrations in the M1 plants could be transmitted to their progenies. Irradiating mature female gametes of whole arm translocation is a new and highly efficient approach for creation of small segment chromosome struc-tural changes, especially for interstitial translocations. | CHEN ShengWei1,2, CHEN PeiDu1 & WANG XiuE1 1 National Key Laboratory of Crop Genetics and Germplasm Enhancement, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing 210095, China 2 College of Agronomy and Biotechnology, Yunnan Agricultural University, Kunming 650201, China | 2008 | Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,4: | 11
Facile synthesis of Zn(Ⅱ)-doped g-C3N4 and their enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation显示文摘Zn(Ⅱ)-doped graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4)with high photodegradation activity was prepared by one facile step. The morphology and structure of the prepared Zn(Ⅱ)-doped g-C3N4 were investigated, and the results showed that Zn(Ⅱ)could self-disperse during the pyrolysis process and Zn–N bond was formed between g-C3N4 and Zn.The dope of Zn(Ⅱ)influenced the structure of g-C3N4.The performance of photocatalytic activity of Zn(Ⅱ)-doped g-C3 N4 series indicated that the doped g-C3N4 with a small quantity of Zn(0.10 wt%)exhibits the best photocatalytic performance. The photodegradation activity for methyl orange was 2 times higher than that of pure g-C3N4.However,the photocatalytic activity decreased with the further increased content of Zn,which may be attributed to the structure change of g-C3N4 and the interaction of Zn–N bond between Zn and g-C3N4.Moreover,Zn(Ⅱ)-doped g-C3N4 showed good recycling photocatalytic stability. | Zhao-Tian Wang Jun-Li Xu Hui Zhou Xia Zhang | 2019 | Rare Metals2019,38,5: | 10
Monitoring early responses to irradiation with dual-tracer micro-PET in dual-tumor bearing mice显示文摘AIM: To monitor the early responses to irradiation in primary and metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) with 18 Ffluorothymidine ( 18 F-FLT) and 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) small-animal position emission tomography (micro-PET). METHODS: The primary and metastatic CRC cell lines, SW480 and SW620, were irradiated with 5, 10 and 20, l l l , Gy. After 24 h, the cell cycle phases were analyzed. A dual-tumor-bearing mouse model of primary and metastatic cancer was established by injecting SW480 and SW620 cells into mice. micro-PET with 18 F-FLT and 18 F-FDG was performed before and 24 h after irradiation with 5, 10 and 20 Gy. The region of interest (ROI) was drawn over the tumor and background to calculate the ratio of tumor to non-tumor (T/NT) in tissues. Immunohistochemical assay and Western blotting were used to examine the levels of integrin β3, Ki-67, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) and heat shock protein 27 (HSP27). RESULTS: The proportion of SW480 and SW620 cells in the G 2 -M phase was decreased with an increasing radiation dose. The proportion of SW480 cells in the G 0 -G 1 phase was increased from 48.33% ± 4.55% to 87.09% ± 7.43% (P < 0.001) and that of SW620 cells in the S-phase was elevated from 43.57% ± 2.65% to 66.59% ± 7.37% (P = 0.021). In micro-PET study, with increasing dose of radiation, 18 F-FLT uptake was significantly reduced from 3.65 ± 0.51 to 2.87 ± 0.47 (P = 0.008) in SW480 tumors and from 2.22 ± 0.42 to 1.76 ± 0.45 (P = 0.026) in SW620 tumors. 18 F-FDG uptake in SW480 and SW620 tumors was reduced but not significantly (F = 0.582, P = 0.633 vs F = 0.273, P = 0.845). Dose of radiation was negatively correlated with 18 F-FLT uptake in both SW480 and SW620 tumors (r = -0.727, P = 0.004; and r = -0.664, P = 0.009). No significant correlation was found between 18 F-FDG uptake and radiation dose in SW480 or SW620 tumors. HSP27 and integrin β3 expression was higher in SW480 than in SW620 tumors. The T/NT ratio for 18 F-FLT uptake was positively correlated with HSP27 and integrin β3 expression (r = 0.924, P = 0.004; and r = 0.813, P = 0.025). CONCLUSION: 18 F-FLT is more suitable than 18 F-FDG in monitoring early responses to irradiation in both primary and metastatic lesions of colorectal cancer. | Hui Wang, Jia-He Tian, Bai-Xuan Xu, Zhi-Wei Guan, ChangBin Liu, Rui-Min Wang, Ying-Mao Chen, Jin-Ming Zhang, Nuclear Medicine Department, The General Hospital of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Military Medical Postgraduate College, Beijing 100853, China Bo Liu, Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, The General Hospital of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Military Medical Postgraduate College, Beijing 100853, China Bao-Lin Qu, Department of Radiation Oncology, The General Hospital of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Military Medical Postgraduate College, Beijing 100853, China | 2010 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,43: | 10

Highly efficient solvent-free synthesis of quinazolin-4(3H)-ones and 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones using tetrabutylammonium bromide as novel ionic liquid catalyst显示文摘A simple and efficient procedure for the synthesis of 2-arylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones has been developed through cyclocondensation of 2-aminobenzamide with aromatic aldehydes using tetrabutylammonium bromide(TBAB) as novel neutral ionic liquid catalyst in the presence of copper(Ⅱ) chloride(CuCl2) as oxidizing agent under solvent-free conditions at 100℃.In the absence of CuCl2 and under a nitrogen atmosphere, the unoxidized intermediates,2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones,were isolated. Treatment of these intermediates with CuCl2 in TBAB media gave the oxidized products 2-arylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones.On the other hand, cyclocondensation of 2-aminobenzamide with aromatic aldehydes in TBAB under microwave irradiation directly gave 2- arylquinazolin-4(3H)-ones. | A.Davoodnia S.Allameh A.R.Fakhari N.Tavakoli-Hoseini | 2010 | Chinese Chemical Letters2010,21,5: | 8
Fully-coupled simulations of thermally-induced cracking in pegmatite due to microwave irradiation显示文摘Fully-coupled thermo-mechanical simulations are implemented in COMSOL Multiphysics to investigate micro-scale stress-strain variability in pegmatite specimens subjected to thermal loading using microwaves. Thermally-induced compressive and tensile stresses increase as the microwave irradiation duration increases. The dielectric constant, coefficient of expansion, and type and size of mineralogical boundary have significant impacts on the responses of the rock to microwave irradiation. The maximum principal stress of the chlorite is the smallest, indicating that the chlorite experiences the most damage under microwave irradiation, followed by the quartz. The maximum principal stress values of plagioclase and orthoclase are larger, indicating that they are likely to incur the least damage. Where quartz or chlorite is dominant, the resulting von Mises stresses are consistently higher after 120 s of microwave irradiation. The rate of generation of von Mises stresses increases most rapidly along the interface between quartz and plagioclase, and the interface between quartz and orthoclase, followed by the interface between quartz and chlorite, and finally the interface between plagioclase and orthoclase. The presented modeling approach provides a practical method to investigate stress-strain relationships within mineralogical boundaries inside a rock thin section. | Jielin Li Rennie B.Kaunda Shrey Arora Philipp Hartlieb Priscilla P.Nelson | 2019 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2019,11,2: | 8
Conversion of Malaysian low-rank coal to mesoporous activated carbon:Structure characterization and adsorption properties显示文摘Malaysian Selantik low-rank coal(SC)was used as a precursor to prepare a form of mesoporous activated carbon(SC-AC)with greater surface area(SA)via a microwave induced KOH-activation method. The characteristics of the SC and SC-AC were evaluated by the iodine number, ash content, bulk density, and moisture content The structure and surface characterization was carried out using pore structure analysis(BET),scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR),elemental analysis(CHNS),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),and determination of the point of zero charge(pH(PZC)).These results signify a mesoporous structure of SC-AC with an increase of ca.1160 times(BET SA=1094.3 m^2·g^-1)as compared with raw SC without activation(BET SA=1.23 m^2·g^-1).The adsorptive properties of the SC-AC with methylene blue(MB)was carried out at variable adsorbent dose(0.2-1.6 g·L^-1),solution pH(2-12),initial MB concentrations(25-400 mg·L^-1),and contact time(0-290 min)using batch mode operation. The kinetic profiles follow pseudo-second order kinetics and the equilibrium uptake of MB conforms to the Langmuir model with a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 491.7 mg g^-1 at 303 K.Thermodynamic functions revealed a spontaneous endothermic adsorption process. The mechanism of adsorption included mainly electrostatic attractions, hydrogen bonding interaction,andπ-πstacking interaction. This work shows that Malaysian Selantik low-rank coal is a promising precursor for the production of low-cost and efficient mesoporous activated carbon with substantive surface area. | Ali H.Jawad Khudzir Ismail Mohd Azlan Mohd Ishak Lee D. | 13 | Sequence analysis of lacZ^- mutations induced by ion beam irradiation in double-stranded M13mp18DNA显示文摘While M13mpl8 double-stranded DNA was irradiated with ion beam, and transfected into E. coli JM103, a decrease of transfecting activity was discovered. The lacZ-mutation frequency at 20% survival could reach (3.6-16.8) × 104, about 2.3-10 times that of unirradiated M13DNA. Altogether, 27 lacZ~ mutants were select-ed, 10 of which were used for sequencing. 7 of the sequenced mutants show base changes in 250-bp region examined (the remaining 3 mutants probably have base changes outside the regions sequenced). 5 of the base-changed mutants contain more than one mutational base sites (some of them even have 5-6 mutational base sites in 250-bp region ex-amined) ; this dense distribution of base changes in polysites has seldom been seen in X-rays, γ-rays or UV induced DNA mutations. Our experiments also showed that the types of base changes include transitions( 50 % ), transversions (45% ) and deletion (5% ); no addition or duplication was observed. The transitions were mainly C→T and A→G; the | 杨剑波 吴李君 李莉 吴家道 余增亮 许智宏 | 1997 | Science China(Life Sciences)1997,40,1: | 7

Current role of modern radiotherapy techniques in the management of breast cancer显示文摘Breast cancer is the most common type of malignancy in females. Advances in systemic therapies and radiotherapy(RT) provided long survival rates in breast cancer patients. RT has a major role in the management of breast cancer. During the past 15 years several developments took place in the field of imaging and irradiation techniques, intensity modulated RT, hypofractionation and partial-breast irradiation. Currently, improvements in the RT technology allow us a subsequent decrease in the treatment-related complications such as fibrosis and long-term cardiac toxicity while improving the loco-regional control rates and cosmetic results. Thus, it is crucial that modern radiotherapy techniques should be carried out with maximum care and efficiency. Several randomized trials provided evidence for the feasibility of modern radiotherapy techniques in the management of breast cancer. However, the role of modern radiotherapy techniques in the management of breast cancer will continue to be defined by the mature results of randomized trials. Current review will provide an up-to-date evidence based data on the role of modern radiotherapy techniques in the management of breast cancer. | Gokhan Ozyigit Melis Gultekin | 2014 | World Journal of Clinical Oncology2014,5,3: | 6
Photocatalytic Oxidative Desulfurization of Dibenzothiophene on TiO2 Modified Bimodal Mesoporous Silica显示文摘By using the bimodal mesoporous silica(BMMS) as the carrier and butyl titanate as the titanium source, the TiO_2/BMMS catalyst was prepared. The samples were characterized by XRD, XRF, N_2 adsorption and desorption, FTIR, UVvis,SEM, EDS, and TEM techniques. The test results showed that TiO_2 was amorphous, the TiO_2/BMMS catalyst had an ordered bimodal mesoporous structure, and the chemical interaction existed between BMMS and TiO_2. Since the TiO_2/BMMS had a lower band gap, its photocatalytic activity was better than TiO_2. Under UV irradiation a one-pot PODS system was set up, using TiO_2/BMMS as the catalyst, H_2O_2 as the oxidant, and methanol as the solvent. The TiO_2/BMMS catalyst showed better photocatalytic activity than the mono-modal mesoporous TiO_2/SBA-15 catalyst, and the desulfurization rate of dibenzothiophene(DBT) over TiO_2/BMMS catalyst could reach 99._2%. The TiO_2/BMMS catalyst also had so good stability that the desulfurization rate of DBT did not drop apparently after 8 cycles of reusing, and could still be close to 90%. | Xu Meizhen Yang Lina Li Jian | 2017 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2017,19,3: | 6

High He-ion irradiation resistance of CrMnFeCoNi high-entropy alloy revealed by comparison study with Ni and 304SS显示文摘High entropy alloys(HEAs) have presented potential applications in nuclear power plants owing to their novel atomic structure based high irradiation resistance. However, understanding of He-ion irradiation of HEAs is still lacking. In this work, we reveal He-ion irradiation resistance of HEA CrMnFeCoNi by comparison study with a pure Ni and a 304 stainless steel(304SS). It is found that the damage structure in the three materials can be characterized with He bubbles and stacking faults/stacking fault tetrahedrons((SFs/SFTs), which show a similar depth distribution after He-ion irradiation at both RT and 450℃.Although the He bubbles have a similar size about 2nm after irradiation at RT, the He bubble sizes of the HEA, 304SS, and Ni increase to 4.0±0.9,5.3±1.0 and 6.7 ±1.0 nm after irradiation at 450℃, respectively. Moreover, the density of SFs/SFTs displays in an order of Ni < 304 SS < HEA at both RT and 450℃.The He-ion irradiation at RT causes significant hardness enhancement for the three materials, however, compared to RT, after irradiation at 450℃, the Ni presents softening, while the 304SS, especially the HEA,shows further hardening. Thus, the HEA CrMnFeCoNi possesses the smallest He bubble size, the densest SFs/SFTs, and the highest hardening, indicating the best structural stability, as well as the best He-ion irradiation resistance, which can be attributed to its low mobility of He atoms and point defects. | Lixin Yang Hualong Ge Jian Zhang Ting Xiong Qianqian Jin Yangtao Zhou Xiaohong Shao Bo Zhang Zhengwang Zhu Shijian Zheng Xiuliang Ma | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,3: | 5
Temperature and velocity dependent friction of a microscale graphite-DLC heterostructure显示文摘One of the promising approaches to achieving large scale superlubricity is the use of junctions between existing ultra-flat surface together with superlubric graphite mesas. Here we studied the frictional properties of microscale graphite mesa sliding on the diamond-like carbon,a commercially available material with a ultra-flat surface. The interface is composed of a single crystalline graphene and a diamond-like carbon surface with roughness less than I nm.Using an integrated approach, which includes Argon plasma irradiation of diamond-like carbon surfaces,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis and Langmuir adsorption modeling,we found that while the velocity dependence of friction follows a thermally activated sliding mechanism, its temperature dependence is due to the desorption of chemical groups upon heating. These observations indicate that the edges have a significant contribution to the friction. Our results highlight potential factors affecting this type of emerging friction junctions and provide a novel approach for tuning their friction properties through ion irradiation. | Yujie GONGYANG Wengen OUYANG Cangyu QU Michael URBAKH Baogang QUAN Ming MA Quanshui ZHENG | 2020 | Friction2020,8,2: | 5
