1Rubber band ligation of hemorrhoids: A guide for complications显示文摘Rubber band ligation is one of the most important, costeffective and commonly used treatments for internal hemorrhoids. Different technical approaches were developed mainly to improve efficacy and safety. The technique can be employed using an endoscope with forward-view or retroflexion or without an endoscope, using a suction elastic band ligator or a forceps ligator. Single or multiple ligations can be performed in a single session. Local anaesthetic after ligation can also be used to reduce the post-procedure pain. Mild bleeding, pain, vasovagal symptoms, slippage of bands, priapism, difficulty in urination, anal fissure, and chronic longitudinal ulcers are normally considered minor complications, more frequently encountered. Massive bleeding, thrombosed hemorrhoids, severe pain, urinary retention needing catheterization, pelvic sepsis and death are uncommon major complications. Mild pain after rubber band ligation is the most common complication with a high frequency in some studies. Secondary bleeding normally occurs 10 to 14 d after banding and patients taking anti-platelet and/or anti-coagulant medication have a higher risk, with some reports of massive life-threatening haemorrhage. Several infectious complications have also been reported including pelvic sepsis, Fournier's gangrene, liver abscesses, tetanus and bacterial endocarditis. To date, seven deaths due to these infectious complications were described. 5Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome:A case report and literature review显示文摘Blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome(BRBNS)is a rare disease characterized by multiple venous malformations and hemangiomas in the skin and visceral organs.The lesions often involve the cutaneous and gastrointestinal systems.Other organs can also be involved,such as the central nervous system,liver,and muscles.The most common symptoms are gastrointestinal bleeding and secondary iron deficiency anemia.The syndrome may also present with severe complications such as rupture,intestinal torsion,and intussusception,and can even cause death.Cutaneous malformations are usually asymptomatic and do not require treatment.The treatment of gastrointestinal lesions is determined by the extent of intestinal involvement and severity of the disease.Most patients respond to supportive therapy,such as iron supplementation and blood transfusion.For more significant hemorrhages or severe complications,surgical resection,endoscopic sclerosis,and laser photocoagulation have been proposed.Here we present a case of BRBNS in a 45-year-old woman involving 16sites including the scalp,eyelid,orbit,lip,tongue,face,back,upper and lower limbs,buttocks,root of neck,clavicle area,superior mediastinum,glottis,esophagus,colon,and anus,with secondary severe anemia.In addition,we summarize the epidemiology,clinical manifestations,diagnosis,differential diagnosis and therapies of this disease by analyzing all previously reported cases to enhance the awareness of this syndrome.Xue-Li Jin Zhao-Hong Wang Xi-Bin Xiao Lian-Sheng Huang Xiao-Ying Zhao 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,45:13
6Sealing properties and structure optimization of packer rubber under high pressure and high temperature显示文摘During hydraulic fracturing operations of low-permeability reservoirs,packers are the key component to ensure the success of multistage fracturing.Packers enable sections of the wellbore to be sealed off and separately fractured by hydraulic pressure,one at a time,while the remainder of the wellbore is not affected.However,reliable sealing properties of the packer rubber are required to meet the high-pressure and high-temperature(HPHT)conditions of reservoirs(such as 70 MPa and 170 ℃).In this study,the structures of the packer rubber with two different materials are optimized numerically by ABAQUS and validated by experiments.The optimization process starts from the packer rubber with a conventional structure,and then,the weakest spots are identified by ABAQUS and improved by slightly varying its structure.This process is iterative,and the final optimized structure of a single rubber barrel with expanding back-up rings is achieved.For the structure of three rubber barrels with metallic protective covers,both HNBR and AFLAS fail under HPHT conditions.For the final optimized structure,the packer rubber made of AFLAS can work better under HPHT than that made of HNBR which ruptures after setting.The results show that the optimized structure of a single rubber barrel with expanding back-up rings and the material AFLAS are a good combination for the packer rubber playing an excellent sealing performance in multistage fracturing in horizontal wells.Wen-Jian Lan Han-Xiang Wang Xin Zhang Sheng-Shan Chen 2019Petroleum Science2019,16,3:11
7Performance of sand and shredded rubber tire mixture as a natural base isolator for earthquake protection显示文摘The performance of a well-designed layer of sand, and composites like layer of sand mixed with shredded rubber tire(RSM) as low cost base isolators, is studied in shake table tests in the laboratory. The building foundation is modeled by a 200 mm by 200 mm and 40 mm thick rigid plexi-glass block. The block is placed in the middle of a 1m by 1m tank filled with sand. The selected base isolator is placed between the block and the sand foundation. Accelerometers are placed on top of the footing and foundation sand layer. The displacement of the footing is also measured by LVDT. The whole setup is mounted on a shake table and subjected to sinusoidal motions with varying amplitude and frequency. Sand is found to be effective only at very high amplitude(> 0.65 g) of motions. 8Conceptual design of automobile engine rubber mounting composite using TRIZ-Morphological chart-analytic network process technique显示文摘An engine rubber mounting is one of the important parts of a vehicle. It is a function to isolate or absorb and to reduce vibration to the vehicle body thus to the passenger itself. Due to the engine compartments environment such as heat and massive vibration due to road conditions, the engine rubber mountings lifespan has been reduced. Thus several studies have been conducted to upgrade the material lifespan to make it more reliable and better engine mounting components. This paper presents the conceptual design of kenaf fiber polymer as automotive engine rubber mounting composites using the integration of Theory of Inventive Problem Solving(TRIZ). In this early stage, the solution is generated using 40 inventive principles and TRIZ contradiction method. The solution parameter for the specific design character is the selected using the morphological chart to develop a systematic conceptual design for the component. 10Improving the Thermal Conductivity and Mechanical Properties of Twocomponent Room Temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber by Filling with Hydrophobically Modified SiO_2-Graphene Nanohybrids显示文摘The SiO_2 nanoparticles were coated on the surface of graphene oxide(GO) by sol-gel method to get the SiO_2-G compound.The SiO_2-G was restored and oleophylically modified to prepare hydrophobic modified SiO_2-G(HM-SiO_2-G) which was subsequently added to silicone rubber matrix to prepare two-component room temperature vulcanized(RTV-2) thermal conductive silicone rubber. The morphology, chemical structure and dispersity of the modified graphene were characterized with SEM, FTIR, Raman, and XPS methods.In addition, the heat-resistance behavior, mechanical properties, thermal conductivity, and electrical conductivity of the RTV-2 silicone rubber were also studied systematically. The results showed that the SiO_2 nanoparticles were coated on graphene oxide successfully, and HM-SiO_2-G was uniformly dispersed in RTV-2 silicone rubber. 11Performance of a novel bent-up bars system not interacting with concrete显示文摘Increasing the bending and shear capacities of reinforced concrete members is an interesting issue in structural engineering.In recent years,many studies have been carried out to improve capacities of reinforced concrete members such as using post and pre-tensioning,Fiber Reinforced Polymer and other techniques.This paper proposes a novel and significant technique to increase the flexural capacity of simply supported reinforced concrete beams.The proposed method uses a new reinforcement bar system having bent-up bars,covered with rubber tubes.This technique will avoid interaction of bent-up bars with concrete.They are located in the zone where compressive and tensile forces act against one anothe匚The compressive force in the upper point of the bent-up bars is exerted to the end point of these bars located under neutral axis.Moreover,the tensile stress is decreased in reinforcements located under the neutral axis.This will cause the Reinforced Concrete(RC)beam to endure extra loading before reaching yield stress.These factors may well be considered as reasons to increase bending capacity in the new system.The laboratory work together with finite element method analysis were carried out in this investigation.Furthermore,bending capacity,ductility,strength,and cracking zone were assessed for the new proposed system and compared with the conventional model.Both the FEM simulation and the experimental test results revealed that the proposed system has significant impact in increasing the load bearing capacity and the stiffness of the RC beams.In the present study,an equation is formulated to calculate bending capacity of a new reinforcement bar system beam.Aydin SHISHEGARAN Mohammad Reza GHASEMI Hesam VARAEE 2019Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2019,13,6:8
12橡胶延长因子基因的原核表达及其多克隆抗体的制备(英文)显示文摘[Objective] The aim of this study was to prepare the recombination protein of rubber elongation factor and its polyclonal antibodies.[Method] The encoding gene of rubber elongation factor(REF)was amplified by RT-PCR,and cloned into the prokaryotic expression vector pDEST17 to transform into Escherichia coil BI2I-AI.The recombinant protein induced by L-Arabinose was purified by the affinity chromatography.As the immunogen,the recombination protein was used to immunize mice for preparing polyclonal antibodies,while ELISA and Western blot hybridization were used to detect the titers and specificity.[Result] The purified recombination protein of REF with high expression was used to immunize house mice for preparing polyclonal antibodies with high titer and specificity.The western blot hybridization showed that the antibody could recognize the natural REF from latex.[Conclusion] The recombination protein of REF was successfully obtained and the mouse anti REF antibody with high titer and specificity was prepared,which lays a basis for further studies on biological functions of rubber elongation factor and other membrane proteins in rubber particles.陈章权 吴坤鑫 梁晓东 黄震 陆田田 2008Agricultural Science & Technology2008,9,4:8
13High-quality de novo assembly of the Eucommia ulmoides haploid genome provides new insights into evolution and rubber biosynthesis显示文摘We report the acquisition of a high-quality haploid chromosome-scale genome assembly for the first time in a tree species,Eucommia ulmoides,which is known for its rubber biosynthesis and medicinal applications.The assembly was obtained by applying PacBio and Hi–C technologies to a haploid that we specifically generated.Compared to the initial genome release,this one has significantly improved assembly quality.The scaffold N50(53.15 MB)increased 28-fold,and the repetitive sequence content(520 Mb)increased by 158.24 Mb,whereas the number of gaps decreased from 104,772 to 128.A total of 92.87%of the 26,001 predicted protein-coding genes identified with multiple strategies were anchored to the 17 chromosomes.A new whole-genome duplication event was superimposed on the earlierγpaleohexaploidization event,and the expansion of long terminal repeats contributed greatly to the evolution of the genome.The more primitive rubber biosynthesis of this species,as opposed to that in Hevea brasiliensis,relies on the methylerythritol-phosphate pathway rather than the mevalonate pathway to synthesize isoprenyl diphosphate,as the MEP pathway operates predominantly in trans-polyisoprene-containing leaves and central peels.Chlorogenic acid biosynthesis pathway enzymes were preferentially expressed in leaves rather than in bark.This assembly with higher sequence contiguity can foster not only studies on genome structure and evolution,gene mapping,epigenetic analysis and functional genomics but also efforts to improve E.ulmoides for industrial and medical uses through genetic engineering.Yun Li Hairong Wei Jun Yang Kang Du Jiang Li Ying Zhang Tong Qiu Zhao Liu Yongyu Ren Lianjun Song Xiangyang Kang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:7
14Self-healing Behavior of Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubbers Based on Ionic Association显示文摘To meet the increasing demand for safe, environmentally friendly and high-performance smart materials, self-healing rubbers are highly desired. Here, the self-healing performance of ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM) is reported, which was designed by graft-polymerization of zinc dimethacrylate (ZDMA) onto rubber chains to form a reversible ionic cross-linked network. Single ionic cross-linked network and dual network, combining covalent and ionic cross-links, could be tuned by controlling vulcanization process to achieve tailorable mechanical and self-healing properties. It was found that ionic cross-linked EPDM showed a recovery of more than 95% of the original mechanical strength through a healing process of 1 h at 100 °C. The covalent cross-links could improve mechanical properties but block self-healing. Adding 50 wt% liquid rubber to “dry” EPDM could effectively enhance self-healing capability of the dual cross-linked network and the healed tensile strength could reach 0.9 MPa. 15Effect of granulated rubber on shear strength of fine-grained sand显示文摘Review of the literature related to the mixture of shredded tire and sand shows that,despite of the increase in shear strength due to addition of tire chips,granulated rubber causes reduction in shear strength of sand.In this study,the shear behavior of mixtures of fine-grained sand and 1-5 mm granulated rubber is investigated.Sixty direct shear tests were conducted on sandegranulated rubber mixtures with various rubber contents(0%,5%,10%,20% and 30%) at different relative densities(50%,70% and 90%) and different normal stresses(34.5 kPa,54.5 kPa,74.5 kPa and 104.5 kPa).The obtained results show that the granulated rubber improves the shear strength of fine-grained sand at medium relative density and low normal stress.The degree of improvement in shear strength is a function of rubber content,relative density and normal stress.The results show that at relative density of 50%,by adding 5% granulated rubber,the internal friction angle of sand increases from 35.1° to 39.2°.However,at relative densities of 70% and 90%,addition of granulated rubber to sand decreases its internal friction angle.The results also indicate that the behavior of sand becomes more ductile with increasing granulated rubber content.Adding granulated rubber leads to greater yielding strain and less tangent stiffness of sand.The maximum dilation angle decreases with the decrease in granulated rubber content.The stress ratio of sample at critical state(ψ= 0°) decreases with increasing granulated rubber content.Seyed Mahmoud Anvari Issa Shooshpasha Saman Soleimani Kutanaei 2017Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2017,9,5:6
16Using thermodynamic parameters to study self-healing and interface properties of crumb rubber modified asphalt based on molecular dynamics simulation显示文摘The thermodynamic property of asphalt binder is changed by the addition of crumb rubber,which in turn influences the self-healing property as well as the cohesion and adhesion within the asphalt-aggregate system.This study investigated the self-healing and interface properties of crumb rubber modified asphalt(CRMA)using thermodynamic parameters based on the molecular simulation approach.The molecular models of CRMA were built with representative structures of the virgin asphalt and the crumb rubber.The aggregate was represented by SiO2 and Al2O3 crystals.The selfhealing capability was evaluated with the thermodynamic parameter wetting time,work of cohesion and diffusivity.The interface properties were evaluated by characterizing the adhesion capability,the debonding potential and the moisture susceptibility of the asphalt-aggregate interface.The self-healing capability of CRMA is found to decrease as the rubber content increases.The asphalt-Al2O3 interface with higher rubber content has stronger adhesion and moisture stability.But the influence of crumb rubber on the interfacial properties of asphalt-SiO2 interface has no statistical significance.Comparing with the interfacial properties of the asphalt-SiO2 interface,the asphalt-Al2O3 interface is found to have a stronger adhesion but a worse moisture susceptibility for its enormous thermodynamic potential for water to displace the asphalt binder.Dongliang HU Jianzhong PEI Rui LI Jiupeng ZHANG Yanshun JIA Zepeng FAN 2020Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2020,14,1:5
17Reinforcement of natural rubber latex with silica modified by cerium oxide:preparation and properties显示文摘Variable masses of nano cerium oxide(CeO__2) were added into nano silica(SiO__2) to prepare the well-dispersed SiO_2-CeO_2suspension(SiO_2-CeO_2), cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) was used to adjust the compatibility of SiO_2-CeO_2 with rubber matrix, then SiO_2-CeO_2 modified by CTAB and curing formulas were mixed with fresh natural rubber(NR) latex to prepare NR/SiO_2-CeO_2 nanocomposites that contained 0–10 parts of CeO_2 by a new emulsion compounding method. The morphologies, cure characteristics, mechanical properties and thermal-oxidative stability of NR/SiO_2-CeO_2 nanocomposites were investigated. The results revealed that the presence of CeO_2 in NR/SiO_2-CeO_2 nanocomposites was favorable for enhancing the interaction between NR matrix and fillers, helped to get smaller SiO_2-CeO_2 particles with narrower particle size distribution, further improved the crosslink densities and mechanical properties of NR/SiO_2-CeO_2 nanocomposites vulcanizates. Meanwhile, the addition of CeO_2 increased the active energy at least 4.66%, obviously improved the thermal-oxidative aging-inhibiting properties of NR/SiO_2-CeO_2 nanocomposites. 19Compatibility of rubber stoppers for recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein injection by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry显示文摘A simple, rapid, and sensitive gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of two fatty acids, methyl hexadecanoate (MH) and methyl stearate (MS), to allow the evaluation of packaging-drug compatibility. The two migrants were quantified in selective ion-monitoring (SIM) mode, with limits of detection (LOD) of 0.0030 μg/mL and 0.0121 μg/mL. Linear calibration curves for MH and MS were obtained in the concentration ranges of 0.1011–5.0570 μg/mL and 0.2015–10.0740 μg/mL, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to estimate the safety of the injection of recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein (RAAP). The results showed that the possible maximum daily intake was 3.0 ng and 12.1 ng for MH and MS, respectively. 20Synthesis of Cerium-containing Polymethylphenyl Silicone and Its Antioxidant Effect on Fluorosilicone Rubber显示文摘As an essential elastomer used in edge technologies, fluorosilicone rubber(FSR) suffers serious oxidative ageing problem when serving at high temperature. Cerium oxide is generally used as an antioxidant additive but remains unsatisfactory. In order to obtain better antioxidant effect on improving the thermal stability of FSR, a kind of cerium-containing polymethylphenyl silicone(PSI-Ce) was synthesized and the structure was verified by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1HNMR). Due to the homogeneous dispersion on molecular scale, PSI-Ce imposed much better antioxidant effect than the commercial CeO2 did, no matter from isothermal degradation at 320 ℃ or thermal-oxidative ageing test at 230 ℃. In particular, after ageing for 72 h,FSR/PSI-Ce(2 phr) maintained 82% of tensile strength and 63% of elongation at break, in comparison to the corresponding values of 48%and 42% for FSR/CeO2(2 phr).
