Oxidative stress as a crucial factor in liver diseases显示文摘Redox state constitutes an important background of numerous liver disorders. The redox state participates in the course of inflammatory, metabolic and proliferative liver diseases. Reactive oxygen species(ROS) are primarily produced in the mitochondria and in the endoplasmic reticulum of hepatocytes via the cytochrome P450 enzymes. Under the proper conditions, cells are equipped with special molecular strategies that control the level of oxidative stress and maintain a balance between oxidant and antioxidant particles. Oxidative stress represents an imbalance between oxidant and antioxidant agents. Hepatocytic proteins, lipids and DNA are among the cellular structures that are primarily affected by ROS and reactive nitrogen species. The process results in structural and functional abnormalities in the liver. Thus, the phenomenon of oxidative stress should be investigated for several reasons. First, it may explain the pathogenesis of various liver disorders. Moreover, monitoring oxidative markers among hepatocytes offers the potential to diagnose the degree of liver damage and ultimately to observe the response to pharmacological therapies. The present report focuses on the role of oxidative stress in selected liver diseases. | Halina Cichoz-Lach Agata Michalak | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,25: | 70
A biorthogonality relationship for three-dimensional couple stress problem显示文摘The duality solution for elasticity and the biorthogonality relationship have been well researched. Now the couple stress theory becomes a new research spot but there is few research for the biorthogonality relationship for couple stress theory comparing to classical elasticity. A new state vector is presented for three dimensional couple stress problems of prismatic structures. A new biorthogonality relation- ship of couple stress is discovered. The dual partial differential equations of couple stress problem are derived by the new state vector. By two important identical equations the new biorthogonality rela- tionship is proved based on the method of separation of variables. The symplectic orthogonality rela- tionship to three dimensional couple stress theory may be decomposed into two independently and symmetrically orthogonality relationships. The new biorthogonality relationship includes the symplec- tic orthogonality relationship. The biorthogonality relationship of couple stress may also be degener- ated into the theory of elasticity. The new state vector and biorthogonality relationship provide theo- retic foundation for the research on the schemes of separation of variables and eigenfunction expan- sion of couple stress theory. | LUO JianHui LI QiuSheng LIU GuangDong | 2009 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2009,52,2: | 8
Discussion on measurement and calculation principle of petrogenetic depth显示文摘Geologic and geophysical data certificate that lithosphere and its down rock behave as solid, therefore,it is better to measure petrogenetic and metallogenetic depth according to internal stress of solid states. Lithomechanic experiment found that the bigger the confining pressure, the bigger the tensile and shear strength of rocks,so rock can bear very high differential stress but it is not broken. Sibson put forward that the property of rocks under 10-15km of the surface changes from brittle to ductile (rather than from elastic to plastic). | 10 | Static mechanics analysis of no bumping or vibration welding structure applied in high-speed & heavy-load CWR with single inclined surface显示文摘Nowadays, the sleeper, railroad bed, welding technology and materials of the high-speed & heavy-load Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) have been improved greatly. However, the orientation relationship between welding surface and rail is still orientation structure, which appeared 185 years ago in UK, namely, the welding surface is normal to the longitudinal direction of the rail. Thus rail welds are subject to vertical pure shear stress, lateral pure shear stress and axial pure tensile stress. Pure shear stress and pure tensile stress are both dangerous stresses, which result in failure of welds under high-speed & heavy-load condition for a long time. When the wheels pass rail welds, it is difficult to avoid vertical bumping and lateral vibration. In order to solve these problems, in this paper we put forward the single inclined welding surface having dip angle α with the lateral rail or dip angle β with the vertical rail and analyze the position geometry and stress state. Thus the vertical bumping and lateral vibration are basically eliminated, then the bearing capacity of the welding surface is significantly improved, and the stress of axial pure tensile and lateral pure shear of the welding surface is reduced. | SONG YuQuan1, LUO WuWei2 & TAO Yi2 1 Jilin University, Changchun 130022, China 2 Shenyang Railway Bureau, Shenyang 110013, China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,12: | 1
DUCTILE CRACK INITIATION AND STEADY-STATE PROPAGATION OF HIGH STRENGTH STRUCTURAL STEEL显示文摘The resistance to crack propagation at earlier stage for a high strength structural steel withcertain ductility and its correlation to microstructures, stress states, deformation history andstrain characteristics have been investigated. The resistance to crack propagation is mainly de-termined by the plastic constrain ahead of the crack tip,the elastic energy and plastic workabsorbed in the stress-strain field. These are connected with the state function of triaxialstress. The deformation history and strain characteristic during deformation of material aredescribed by the flow line in which the deformation history and strain characteristic restrainthe crack initiation at stage Ⅱ and the crack propagation at stage Ⅲ.The strain hardeningrate may sensitively reflect the stress distribution and micro-fracture mechanism in the interi-or of material. | CHEN Huangpu DENG Zengjie Xi’an Jiaotong University,Xi’an,China CHEN Huangpu,Lectuer,Research Institute for Strength of Metals,Xi’an Jiaotong University,Xi’an 710049,China | 1990 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)1990,3,3: | 1
AN ASYMPTOTIC METHOD FOR ANALYZING THE STRESS IN A FUNCTIONALLY GRADIENT MATERIAL LAYER ON A SURFACE OF A STRUCTURAL COMPONENT显示文摘A simple and effective method for analyzing the stress distribution in a FunctionallyGradient Material(FGM)layer on the surface of a structural component is proposed in this paper.Generally, the FGM layer is very thin compared with the characteristic length of the structural compo-nent,and the nonhomogeneity exists only in the thin layer.Based on these features,by choosing asmall parameter λ which characterizes the stiffness of the layer relative to the component, and expand-ing the stresses and displacements on the two sides of the interface according to the parameter λ,thenasymptotically using the continuity conditions of the stresses and displacements on the interface,a de-coupling computing process of the coupling control equations of the layer and the structural componentis realized.Finally.two examples are given to illustrate the application of the method proposed. | Shen, LX Yu, SW | 1997 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica1997,10,1: | 1
2-D elastic FEM simulation on stress state in the deep part of a subducted slab显示文摘Based upon some simplified numerical models, a 2-D plain strain elastic FEM program is compiled to study the distributions of the stress fields produced by the volume change of the phase transformation from olivine to spinel, by the volume change from temperature variation, and by density difference and boundary action in a piece of subducted slab located in transition zone of the mantle. Thermal stress could explain the fault plane solutions of deep focus earthquakes, but could not explain the distribution of deep seismicity. When large extent metastable olivine is included, the stress field produced by the density difference contradicts with the results of fault plane solutions and with the distribution of deep seismicity. Although the stress produced by volume change of the phase transformation from olivine to spinel dominates the stress state, its main direction is different from the observed results. We conclude that the deep seismicity could not be simply explained by elastic simulation. | 毛兴华 刘亚静 叶国扬 宁杰远 | 2002 | Acta Seismologica Sinica(English Edition)2002,15,3: | 1

EFFECTS OF VASCULAR ZERO STRESS STATE ON PULSATILE BLOOD FOLW显示文摘In this paper, blood flow in artery was treated as the flow under equilibrium state (the steady flow under mean pressure) combined with the periodically small sulsatile flow.Based on vascular zero stress state ,the pulsatile strains according to the radial and axial displacements of blood vessel were obtained. With the use of Hooke’s law,the pulsatile strains and the corresponding Cauchy stresses were connected,so the corresponding wall motion equations could be established here.By solving the linearized Navier Stokes equations, the analytic expressions of the blood flow velocities and the vascular displacements could be obtained, and the in fluence of the circumferential and axial stretch ratio on pulsatile blood flow and vascular motion was discussed in details. | Liu Zhao rong,Chen Yong,Yan Yu bing,Xu Gang Biomechanics Laboratory,Fudan University,Shanghai 200433,China | 2001 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2001,13,2: | 0

2-D viscoelastic FEM simulation on stress state in the deep part of a subducted slab显示文摘The characteristics of the stress fields in deep subducting slabs are studied using viscoelastic plain strain finite element method. When introducing the new rheology structure given by Karato, et al into our computation, there emerge two regions with great shear stress just below the olivine-spinel phase transition zone, which encompass the low viscosity zone below the lower tip of the metastable wedge. Further, the directions of the main compressional stress of these two regions are all along the dip direction of the slab. These are in accordance with the seismic observations that there are two deep seismic zones in a slab and the directions of the main compressional stress in these two seismic zones are along the dip direction of the slab. Smaller effective viscosity probably caused by smaller grain size in the phase transformation zone does not have great influence on the stress state in the deep part of the slab. There is the maximum of shear stress at the transition region from olivine to spinel and the direction of the main compressional stress in this region is roughly perpendicular to the trend of the phase boundary no matter whether there exists metastable wedge, which nevertheless do not correspond to some well-known seismic observations. | 刘亚静 叶国扬 毛兴华 宁杰远 | 2002 | Acta Seismologica Sinica(English Edition)2002,15,3: | 0
Torsion Failure Analysis of Galvanized Steel Wires for Transmission and Distribution Lines Based on ANSYS Numerical Simulation显示文摘This study provides a detailed failure analysis of galvanized steel wires(3 mm in diameter) for a 35 k V transmission and distribution line, which was carried out by combining the conventional material analysis methods with the finite element method(FEM). It is found that the failed material had good plasticity(5% in elongation),and under the soft torsion loading condition(0.75 in stress state soft coefficient), the ductile fracture should occur on the material. Additionally, the theoretical number of torsions calculated by the FEM was 26.2 times, while the actual number of torsions achieved by the test was only 2.2 times and the local fracture surface exhibited brittle fracture characteristics. The results showed that the local torsion brittle fracture of the material with good plasticity was caused by triaxial stress in the torsion condition, which led to the formation of cavity in the pulling stress area in the material’s center, and the finite element calculation results indicated that the stress state soft coefficient at the cavity was distributed between 0.31 and 0.38, and the stress concentration at the cavity was more than twice the normal value. Besides, the Widmanstatten structure formed as the improper hot working process is the corresponding structural reason. | 王曼 张晓敏 龙鹏 蒋渝 | 2019 | Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong university(Science)2019,24,5: | 0
THE ANALYSES OF THE THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRESS STRUCTURE NEAR THE CRACK TIP OF MODE Ⅰ CT SPECIMENS IN ELASTICPLASTIC STATE(Ⅱ)—THE ANALYSES OF THE STRESS STRUCTURE显示文摘Based on[1],the stress structures of the smooth region and shear lip of thespecimens have been investigated in the paper. The characteristics of the stress structure inthe smooth region have been found that the variable z can separated out;the stressesin the midsection can be obtained by the plane strain FEM results or HRR structuremodified by the stress triaxiality. The effects of load level and thickness on the stressstructure can be reflected by the distribution of CTOD along the thickness direction. The obtained expressions of the stresses are very simple and visualized. The analysesof the stress structure in the shear lip show that the stresses can be obtained bydifferent methods of interpolation to a certain precise degree.A new degree parameter of the plane strain state has been put forward andstudied. The parameter can reflect relatively well the variation of the kind andthickness of the specimen as well as the load level. The fracture parameter has alsobeen investigated to be sure that it can be | 岳珠峰 郑长卿 | 1993 | Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)1993,14,9: | 0
An anisotropic constitutive model of geomaterials based on true triaxial testing and its application显示文摘Series of testing on coarse grained soils were carried out with a true triaxial testing apparatus. The loads were applied from the major principal and minor principal directions, respectively, to simulate the construction and water impounding process of a rock fill dam. The stress and strain relationships induced by the different loading methods were investigated. A remarkable stress-induced anisotropy under complex stress state was observed. Contrary to popular assumptions in traditional numerical analysis and constitutive models, it was found that different elastic modulus and Poisson ratio exist in different principal directions in rock fill dams. From the testing results, an anisotropic constitutive model based on Duncan-Chang nonlinear model is presented to overcome the limitations of axi-symmetric assumptions in conventional triaxial experiments and constitutive models. Both models were then applied in FEM analysis of an under-construction earth core high rock soil filled dam with the focus on hydraulic fracturing. The study reveals the major biases that exist when numerical analysis and constitutive models do not give serious consideration to the intermediate principal stress and anisotropy effects in soil rock built structures. | 张坤勇 Frederick Nai Charkley | 2017 | Journal of Central South University2017,24,6: | 0
