High-accuracy topographical information extraction based on fusion of ASTER stereo-data and ICESat/GLAS data in Antarctica显示文摘In order to better support Antarctic inland ice sheet expedition from Zhongshan Station to Dome A,the topographic data are necessary. At present, although the entire Antarctic DEM provided by RAMP(Ra-darsat Antarctic Mapping Project) was estimated at the highest horizontal(spatial) resolution of about 200 m,the real horizontal resolution of the DEM varies from place to place depending on the density and scale of the original source data. For ice shelves and the inland ice sheet, the horizontal resolution is about 5 km;the vertical accuracy is estimated to be ±50 m in interior East Antarctic ice sheet and away from the mountain ranges. Therefore, more accurate topographic data are unavailable in Antarc-tica.In order to meet the requirements of high-accuracy topographic information for further researches, this paper mainly addresses a fusion study of ASTER stereo pairs and ICESat/GLAS altimetry data for extraction of high-accuracy DEM in East Antarctica, based on the high horizontal resolution(15 m) of ASTER and vertical accuracy(13.8 cm) of ICESat/GLAS.First,some altimetry data were selected as vertical control points to reduce errors of image correlation matching during the extraction of ASTER-based DEM.Second, ice sheet altimetry data derived from ICESat were used to generate DEM ranging from 75° to 81°S because existing ASTER data do not cover this area and high density of the coverage of ICESat altimetry data. Finally, the DEM in coverage of the expedition route was produced. The analysis of result reveals that the DEM accuracy is improved significantly. The absolute vertical accuracy of DEM is higher than 15 m in some cases and higher than 30 m for all the areas along the expedition route except from the 009-001 scene;the interior accuracy is higher than 15 m and higher than 7 m in some cases. It can meet the requirements of topographic map at 1:50000 scale, which is an economic and advantageous method to produce the topographic products. | E DongChen1,3,SHEN Qiang2,XU Ying1,3 & CHEN Gang4 1 Chinese Antarctic Center of Surveying and Mapping,Wuhan University,Wuhan 430079,China 2 Institute of Seismology China Earthquake Administration,Wuhan 430071,China 3 Key Laboratory of Polar Surveying and Mapping,State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping,Wuhan University,Wuhan 430079,China 4 Department of Geography,University of Calgary,Calgary,Alberta T2N 1N4,Canada | 2009 | Science China Earth Sciences2009,52,5: | 9
Overview of China's Antarctic research progress 1984–2016显示文摘It is more than 30 years since the first Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition(CHINARE) landed in Antarctica in 1984, representing China's initiation in polar research. This review briefly summarizes the Chinese Antarctic scientific research and output accomplished over the past 30 years. The developments and progress in Antarctic research and the enhancement of international scientific cooperation achieved through the implementation of the CHINARE program have been remarkable. Since the 1980 s, four permanent Chinese Antarctic research stations have been established successively and 33 CHINAREs have been completed. The research results have been derived from a series of spatiotemporal observations in association with various projects and multidisciplinary studies in the fields of oceanography, glaciology, geology, geophysics, geochemistry, atmospheric science, upper atmospheric physics, Antarctic astronomy, biology and ecology, human medicine, polar environment observation, and polar engineering. | CHEN Liqi LIU Xiaohan BIAN Lingen CHEN Bo HUANG Hongliang HU Hongqiao LUO Wei SHI Guitao SHI Jiuxin XU Chengli YANG Guang ZHAO Yue ZHANG Shaohua | 2017 | Advances in Polar Science2017,28,3: | 9

Observational Study of Annual Variations of the Surface Energy Balance Components at Zhongshan Station of Antarctica in 1990显示文摘From February 1990 to January 1991, the measurement experiment was carried out at Zhongshan station, East Antarctica. In the experiment, measurements of the surface radiative fluxes and wind, temperature and humidity profiles in the lowest 32 m in the atmosphere boundary layer were made throughout the year. The regime of the surface energy balance was analysed based on the observed data. The conclusion was derived that in warm season (from Nov. to Feb.), large amounts of energy are absorbed by the surface and then transported to the atmosphere in the form of sensible and latent heat, while in cold season (from Mar. to Oct.) continually radiative cooling of the surface occurs. | 卞林根 贾朋群 陆龙骅 周秀骥 | 1993 | Science China Chemistry1993,36,8: | 3
The high-latitude ionospheric phenomena observed by DPS-4 at Zhongshan Station, Antarctica显示文摘Ionograms, which were obtained from February 1995 to January 1999 by a Digisonde Portable Sounder-4 (DPS-4) at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, have been scaled. The ionograms interpretation has shown various ionosphcric phcnomena occurred in the cusp region. They are particle precipitation effects in the E region. F region magnetic noon phenomena, slant Es phenomena and lacuna. F layer irregularity zone (FLIZ) phenomena, and auroral oval identification. Typical examples of ionograms and ionogram sequences observed at Zhongshan Station are displayed in this paper. | 刘顺林 刘瑞源 贺龙松 | 1999 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science1999,10,2: | 3
Seasonal characteristics of F region in lower solar activity period at Zhongshan Station, Antarctica显示文摘Based on data of Digisonde Portable Sounder-4 (DPS-4 ) in 1995 -1997. we have analyzed the seasonal variations of F region at Zhongshan Station (69. 4°S,76. 4°E ). During the summer of Zhongshan Station, F region ionization is mainly controlled by the solar ultraviolet radiation. Similar to the phenomena in mid-latitude area, the value f0F2 is changed with local time. During equinox scasons, soft electron precipitation from the cusp/cleft region seems significant, f0F2 is changed with rnagnetic local time, and shows the magnetic noon phenomenon. In winter. the effect of the solar radiation on the F region is less than that of summer. Instead, F region is affected by particle precipitation from cusp/cleft region as well as polar plasma convection, there fore, the diurnal variation of f0F2 is more complex and shows two peaks. F region occurs all day in summer. and seldom appears at midnight in equinox. In winter, F region shows two minimums, one is at midnight and the other is at afternoon cusp. Further analysis of the F region spread indicates that in winter the aurora oval passes over the Zhongshan Station is at 1100 UT - 1500 UT. | 贺龙松 刘瑞源 刘顺林 刘勇华 | 1999 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science1999,10,2: | 3

SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SURFACE RADIATION COMPONENTS AT ZHONGSHAN STATION显示文摘A preliminary analysis of some characteristics of the radiation components is made by using the surface radiation data obtained from February 1990 to January 1991 at Zhongshan Station. The result shows that the fluxes of direct radiation and global radiation are strong with higher atmospheric transparency, and the surface can absorb large amount of radiation energy in warm season. The surface loses heat energy in cold season due to the seasonal variations of the surface albedo and shortwave radiation. The variation of net longwave radiation is related to cloud amount and surface air temperature. The property of net radiation is similar to other Antarctic coastal stations but differs greatly from Antarctic inland area. | 卞林根 陆龙骅 张永萍 | 1993 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science1993,4,1: | 2
The auroral occurrence over Zhongshan Station, Antarctica显示文摘The auroral data observed by all sky TV camera during 1995 and 1997 at Zhongshan Station of Antarctica are used to analyze the statistic characteristics of the aurora over Zhongshan Station. Around postnoon (1200 - 1600UT ) and midnight (2000 - 0100 UT ), the aurora appears more frequently and stronger than those in evening (1600- 2000UT ). The corona type auroras mainly occur at poleward and overhead of Zhongshan Station during postnoon and around midnight. The hand type auroras mainly appear during postnoon. while during evening and around midnight only appear at equatorward. The active surges mostly appear around midnight, while the transpolar arcs mainly occur after midnight. Except for the transpolar arcs. the occurrences of the other three type auroras are related with Kp index. Usually Zhongshan Station enters the auroral oval at postnoon, the exact time depends on Kp index. | 胡红桥 刘瑞源 杨惠根 | 1999 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science1999,10,2: | 1
Inter-hemispheric comparisons of geospace environment in the polar regions—A proposed cooperative research program between China and Norway显示文摘The Chinese Zhongshan Station in Antarctica and the stations in Svalbard (Auroral station at Longyearbyen and NP station at Ny lesund) are closely magnetic conjugate. All of them are equipped similar measurement instruments dealing with upper atmospheric physics. Therefore, there is a good reason to conduct a cooperative research program between China and Norway to do the inter hemispheric comparisons of geospace environment in the polar regions. It will make significant contribution to further understanding of the coupled magnetosphere ionsphere system. The scientific aims of the cooperative project are: to experimentally verify the modeled complicated conjugate relationship between Zhongshan Station in the Antarctic and Svalbard in the Arctic. To derive knowledge from the conjugate characteristics of auroral formations, ionospheric features and space plasma waves in the polar regions, which in turn will lead to better understanding of the solar wind magnetosphere ionosphere coupling processes. The proposed research contents, research methods and experimental techniques are discussed, and the manners of the cooperative research are suggested in the paper. | 刘瑞源 杨惠根 胡红桥 Asgeir Brekke Jφran Moen | 2002 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science2002,13,1: | 1
Effect of Compound Treatment with Prochloraz and Chitosan on the Physicochemical Indexes of Refrigerated Citrus Gonggan显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the synergized preservation effect of different concentrations of prochloraz and chitosan on citrus Gonggan,so as to prolong the sales period of Gonggan.[Methods]'Zhongshan Gonggan' was used as a material. The Gonggan fruit was soaked with prochloraz (250,300 and 350 mg/L) and then coated with different concentrations of chitosan (1.0% and 1.5%),respectively.The good fruit rate, weight loss rate and titratable acid (TA),reducing sugar, total soluble solids (TSS) and Vc contents were used as evaluation indexes to investigate the preservation effect of Gonggan during cold storage.[Results]The treatment of prochloraz plus chitosan can significantly prolong the shelf life of Gonggan as it can inhibit the decline of good fruit rate, reduce the weight loss rate, and slow down the degradation and loss of titratable acid, reducing sugar, soluble solids and Vc.The 350 mg/L prochloraz+1.0% chitosan treatment was superior to other treatments.[Conclusions]This study provides a theoretical basis for better prolonging the storage period of Gonggan. | Dongdi XIE Dingli LU | 2019 | Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,3: | 1
The Characteristics of Radiation During the Polar Day and Night at Zhongshan Station, Antarctica显示文摘The polar day and night are special phenomena that occur within the Antarctic and Arctic circles. There is no such phenomenon at Great Wall Station(62°13′S, 58°58′ W). There are 55 and 58 days at the Zhongshan Station (ZSS, 69°22′S, 76°22′ E) for the polar day and the polar night respectively. The observational experiment of radiation and thermal regime were carried out at the latter station from February 1990 to January 1991.In the present note the characteristics of the surface radiation are analysed from the data obtained in the experiment. | 陆龙骅 卞林根 贾朋群 | 1993 | Chinese Science Bulletin1993,38,6: | 1
The polar ionosphere at Zhongshan Station on May 11, 1999, the day the solar wind almost disappeared显示文摘The solar wind almost disappeared on May 11,1999: the solar wind plasma density and dynamic pressure were less than 1cm-3 and 0.1 nPa respectively, while the interplanetary magnetic field was northward. The polar ionospheric data observed by the multi-instruments at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica on such special event day was compared with those of the control day (May 14). It was shown that geomagnetic activity was very quiet on May 11 at Zhongshan. The magnetic pulsation, which usually occurred at about magnetic noon, did not appear. The ionosphere was steady and stratified, and the F2 layer spread very little. The critical frequency of dayside F2 layer, foF2, was larger than that of control day, and the peak of foF2 appeared 2 hours earlier. The ionospheric drift velocity was less than usual. There were intensive auroral Es appearing at magnetic noon. All this indicates that the polar ionosphere was extremely quiet and geomagnetic field was much more dipolar on May 11. There were some signatures of auroral substorm before midnight, such as the negative deviation of the geomagnetic H component, accompanied with auroral Es and weak Pc3 pulsation. | 胡红桥 刘瑞源 刘勇华 杨惠根 刘顺林 张北辰 艾勇 N. | 15 | A preliminary study on the ultraviolet rediation in Zhongshan Station, Antarctica显示文摘The decreasing in amount of ozone in the Antarctic causes a clear increase in ultravioletradiation reaching the surface. This change imposes a significant effect on the polarbiosphere and even on the global ecosystem.Since 1993,the radiation and ozonemeasurement system has been established in Chinese Antarctic base,Zhongshan Station(69°22′S,76°22′E)as one of the programmes of the Chinese Antarctic Research Expedition. | 卞林根 陆龙骅 贾朋群 | 1996 | Chinese Science Bulletin1996,41,21: | 1

The extremely intense CNA events observed at Zhongshan Station in July, 2000显示文摘Using the ground observation data at Zhongshan Station of Antarctica during July 13 to 17, 2000, the intense absorption events associated with the activities of the solar active region R9077 are analyzed. It was shown that an intense polar cap absorption event lasted more than 3 days, which was caused by the solar proton event associated with the X5/3B major flare at 1024 UT on July 13. The polar cap event started at about 1040 UT on July 14, and lasted to about 1940 UT on July 17, with a typical day night variation. At the same time, the intense solar activities extremely disturbed the magnetosphere, therefore aurora substorms occurred frequently. The energetic particle precipitation from the magnetosphere caused several absorption spikes superposing on the background of polar cap absorption. One distinct event is the absorption enhancement that started at about 0300 UT on July 15, reached its peak of 26 dB at about 0645 UT and recovered at about 1110 UT on the same day, which was the strongest absorption event observed at Zhongshan Station since the imaging riometer installed in February, 1997. Another outstanding absorption spike with pulsation occurred at about 1753 UT on 14th, its peak reached to 6 dB. | 胡红桥 刘瑞源 刘勇华 刘顺林 杨惠根 徐中华 Natsuo Sato Hisao Yamagishi | 2002 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science2002,13,1: | 0
Intensity variations of the postnoon auroral bright spots observed at Zhongshan Station, Antarctica on August 8, 1999显示文摘In this paper we use the high speed multi channel meridian scanning photometer data and all sky TV camera images to analyze the intensity variations of the postnoon auroral bright sports of 557.7 nm and 630.0 nm emissions. Several results can be obtained from this paper. (1) Bright spots are rather transient features lasting typically for only a few minutes. (2) The intensity of the postnoon bright spots of 557.7 nm emissions can surpass 11 kR. The occurrence of the bright spots seems rather frequent. (3) The ratios of I(427.8)/I(630.0) and I(427.8)/I(557.7) during the bright spots occurring time show a positive peak and negative peak respectively. It qualitatively indicates that the average precipitating electron energies along the meridianal scan above Zhongshan Station increased as the bright spot appeared. And the intensification of the spot mainly was caused by the increasing of high energy (3 10 keV) flux. (4) Usually the bright spots are accompanied with the magnetic pulsation and the occurrence of multi band arcs. | 艾勇 邓晓华 刘瑞源 杨惠根 Masayuki Kikuchi | 2002 | Chinese Journal of Polar Science2002,13,1: | 0
