| 1 | High expression of ACE2 receptor of 2019-nCoV on the epithelial cells of oral mucosa显示文摘It has been reported that ACE2 is the main host cell receptor of 2019-nCoV and plays a crucial role in the entry of virus into the cell to cause the final infection. To investigate the potential route of 2019-n Cov infection on the mucosa of oral cavity, bulk RNA-seq profiles from two public databases including The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA) and Functional Annotation of The Mammalian Genome Cap Analysis of Gene Expression(FANTOM5 CAGE) dataset were collected. RNA-seq profiling data of 13 organ types with para-carcinoma normal tissues from TCGA and 14 organ types with normal tissues from FANTOM5 CAGE were analyzed in order to explore and validate the expression of ACE2 on the mucosa of oral cavity. Further, single-cell transcriptomes from an independent data generated in-house were used to identify and confirm the ACE2-expressing cell composition and proportion in oral cavity. The results demonstrated that the ACE2 expressed on the mucosa of oral cavity. Interestingly, this receptor was highly enriched in epithelial cells of tongue. | 2 | Constructal optimization for geometry of cavity by taking entransy dissipation minimization as objective显示文摘The entransy dissipation extremum principle provides new warranty and criterion for optimization of heat transfer.For two cases(body with heat generation and body heated externally)of a solid conducting wall with an open cavity,a dimensionless equivalent thermal resistance based on entransy dissipation definition was taken as the optimization objective to optimize the model constructal ge- ometry.Numerical results validated the necessity and feasibility of the presented method.Comparisons of the numerical results based on minimization of dimensionless maximum thermal resistance and minimization of dimensionless equivalent thermal resistance,respectively,showed that there was no obvious difference between the two results when the volume fractionΦoccupied by cavity was small, but the difference between the two results increased with the increases ofΦand the body aspect ratio H/L for any model.The optimal cavities for bodies heated externally were more slender than those for bodies with heat generation.Heat origin had obvious effect on the global performance of heat transfer. | 7 | Cavity length below chute aerators显示文摘It is proved that air entrainment is one of the efficient measures dealing with cavi-tation control for the release works of hydropower projects. There are many factors to be considered in designing a chute aerator. One of the most important factors concerns the cavity length below the aerator,which has outstanding effects on air entrainment against cavitation damage. It is crucial to determine reasonable emergence angle for the calculation of the cavity length. In the present paper the overall effects of structural and hydraulic parameters on the emergence angle of the flow from the aerator were analyzed. Four improved expressions of the emer-gence angle with weight coefficient were investigated through experimental data of 68 points observed from 12 aerators of 6 hydropower projects,of both model and prototype,on the basis of error theory. A method to calculate the cavity length be-low aerators was suggested,which considers overall effects of the above men-tioned parameters. | 8 | Helicobacter pylori colonization of the oral cavity:Amilestone discovery显示文摘Over the past several years, the severity of Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infections has not significantly diminished. After successful eradication, the annual H. pylori recurrence rate is approximately 13% due tooral H. pylori infection. Established clinical diagnostic techniques do not identify an oral etiologic basis of H. pylori prior to gastric infection. There has been disagreement as to whether oral infection of H. pylori exists or not, with no definite conclusion. In medical practice, negative results with the urea breath test suggest that the stomach infection of H. pylori is cured in these patients. In fact, patients can present negative urea breath test results and yet exhibit H. pylori infection due to oral infection. | 9 | Numerical study on ULF waves in a dipole field excited by sudden impulse显示文摘A three-dimensional numerical model is employed to investigate ULF waves ex-cited by the sudden impulse (SI) of the solar wind dynamic pressure interacting with a dipole magnetosphere. We focus on the solar wind-magnetosphere energy coupling through ULF waves, and the influences of the SI spectrum on the cavity mode structure and the energy deposition due to field line resonances (FLRs) in the magnetosphere. The numerical results show that for a given SI lasting for 1 min with amplitude of 50 mV/m impinging on the subsolar magnetopause, the total ULF energy transported from the solar wind to the magnetosphere is about the magni-tude of 1014 J. The efficiency of the solar wind energy input is around 1%, which depends little on the location of the magnetopause in the model. It is also found that the energy of the cavity mode is confined in the region near the magnetopause, whereas, the energy of the toroidal mode may be distributed among a few specific L-shells. With a given size of the model magnetosphere and plasma density distri-bution, it is shown that the fundamental eigenfrequency of the cavity mode and the central locations of the FLRs do not vary noticeably with the power spectrum of the SI. It is worth noting that the spectrum of the SI affects the excitation of higher harmonics of the global cavity mode. The broader the bandwidth of the SI is, the higher harmonics of cavity mode could be excited. The CFD study has evolved as an irreplaceable method in scheme evaluation and aircraft optimization. Similar to our previous experimental survey, the advances in drag and heat reduction schemes are reviewed by similar kinds of mechanism in this article, namely the forward-facing cavity, the opposing jet, the aerospike, the energy deposition and their combinational configurations. This review article puts an emphatic eye on the flow conditions, numerical methods, novel schemes and analytical conclusions given in the simulations. | 11 | Multi-spacecraft observations of ULF waves during the recovery phase of magnetic storm on October 30, 2003显示文摘Based on observations obtained by Cluster C1, GOES 10, 12, and Polar, the global ULF wave properties are studied during the recovery phase of a very intense magnetic storm-Halloween storm (October 31, 2003, 21:00-23:00 UT). The results indicate that the ULF waves’ properties observed by different satellites, such as amplitude, period, etc. show large variations. This can be interpreted as that Field Line Resonance (FLR) might take place in the region where Cluster C1 passed. The compressional wave of the cavity mode coupled with FLR’s shear Alfven wave and fed energy to the latter, forming a large-amplitude toroidal mode. From the point of period, Cluster C1 observed the shortest period, GOES 10, 12 observed the middle, while Polar observed the longest. The wave period of toroidal mode observed by Cluster C1 kept almost unchanging when Cluster C1 passed L range from 11.7 to 5.3. Using the Squared Wavelet Coherence analysis method, we estimated that the FLR region in the dayside magnetosphere could expand to at least 4 local time widths. The toroidal mode observed by Polar was a standing wave, while the pol-oidal mode was a propagating wave, the observation results could be well ex-plained by the waveguide mode theory. | 12 | Effect of cavity flow control on high-speed train pantograph and roof aerodynamic noise显示文摘The pantograph and its recess on the train roof are major aerodynamic noise sources on high-speed trains.Reducing this noise is particularly important because conventional noise barriers usually do not shield the pantograph.However,less attention has been paid to the pantograph recess compared with the pantograph.In this paper,the flow features and noise contribution of two types of noise reduction treatments rounded and chamfered edges are studied for a simplified high-speed train pantograph recess,which is represented as a rectangular cavity and numerically investigated at 1/10 scale.Improved delayed detached-eddy simulations are performed for the near-field turbulent flow simulation,and the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings aeroacoustic analogy is used for far-field noise prediction.The highly unsteady flow over the cavity is significantly reduced by the cavity edge modifications,and consequently,the noise radiated from the cavity is reduced.Furthermore,effects of the rounded cavity edges on the flow and noise of the pantographs(one raised and one folded)are investigated by comparing the flow features and noise contributions from the cases with and without rounding of the cavity edges.Different train running directions are also considered.Flow analysis shows that the highly unsteady flow within the cavity is reduced by rounding the cavity edges and a slightly lower flow speed occurs around the upper parts of the raised pantograph,whereas the flow velocity in the cavity is slightly increased by the rounding.Higher pressure fluctuations occur on the folded pantograph and the lower parts of the raised pantograph,whereas weaker fluctuations are found on the panhead of the raised pantograph.This study shows that by rounding the cavity edges,a reduction in radiated noise at the side and the top receiver positions can be achieved.Noise reductions in the other directions can also be found. | Hogun Kim Zhiwei Hu David Thompson | 2020 | Railway Engineering Science2020,28,1: | 10 |

The IPC method was implemented for the 2D compressible stochastic Navier-Stokes equations to simulate the non-deterministic behavior of a lid driven cavity flow under the influence of uncertainties. The driven velocity and fluid viscosity were supposed respectively to be the uncertain variable which has Gaussian probability distribution. Based on the validation with benchmark results,discussions were mainly focused on the statistic properties of velocity distribution. The results indicated the effect of IPC method on the simulation of propagation of uncertainty in the flow field. | 20 | Dual-band simultaneous lasing in MOFs single crystals with Fabry-Perot microcavities显示文摘Multi-band microlasers based on single microcrystalline materials with Fabry-Perot(F-P) cavities are critically and technologically essential. Here, we demonstrate simultaneous dual-band lasing output(615 and 685 nm) in metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) and organic dyes hybrid single crystals, which support F-P resonances. Through a two-step assembly strategy, two different types of cationic pyridinium hemicyanine dye molecules can be encapsulated into the channel pores of anionic bioMOF-1-2 Me successfully.
