How often should one update control and estimation:review of networked triggering techniques显示文摘Management of resources is a constant topic in industrial systems. How to use minimum communication resources is of particular interest for control and estimation of networked systems. It raises the question for researchers in the field: how often should one update control and estimation? One of the most intelligent approaches is to trigger updates by events. In the literature, event-triggered control and estimation have been widely studied in the last decade. On one hand, events should be triggered sufficiently frequent to maintain system performance;on the other hand, the possibility of Zeno behavior caused by infinite frequency should be avoided. This review aims at revisiting some existing triggering techniques in a unified formulation, separated from system dynamics and control and estimation strategies. It brings readers better understanding of triggering mechanisms, the underlying technical challenges, and some promising future research topics.Zhiyong CHEN Qing-Long HAN Yamin YAN Zheng-Guang WU 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,5:10
Modeling Delay and Packet Drop in Networked Control Systems Using Network Simulator NS2显示文摘Wireless Networked Control Systems (WNCS) are used to implement a control mechanism over a wireless network that is capable of carrying real-time traffic. This field has drawn enormous attention from current researchers because of its flexibility and robustness. However, designing efficient WNCS over Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) is still a challenging topic because of its less-predictable aspects, such as inconsistent delay, packet drop probability, and dynamic topology. This paper presents design guidelines for WNCS over MANET using the Network Simulator version 2, NS2 software. It investigates the impact of packet delay and packet drop under the AODV and DSR routing protocols. The simulation results have been compared to MATLAB results for validation.Mohammad Shahidul Hasan Christopher Harding Alison Griffiths 2005International Journal of Automation and computing2005,2,2:9

Tracking Synchronization of Networked Lagrangian Systems via Impulsive Control and Its Applications显示文摘An impulsive control scheme is proposed to investigate the tracking synchronization of ring and inline networked Lagrangian systems.Given a time-varying target trajectory, some algebraic synchronization criteria are derived to make the networked Lagrangian systems synchronize to the target trajectory.A distinctive feature of the proposed work is that the impulsive control scheme is used to investigate the highly nonlinear Lagrangian systems.By the impulsive control, each agent described by the Lagrangian system instantaneously interacts with its neighbors only at some discrete moments.Furthermore, the proposed control strategy requires only local coupling feedback for global convergence. As a direct application of the obtained theoretical results, the tracking synchronization of multiple 3-DOF mobile robots is discussed in detail and simulated.Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.SHE Weiqiang MA Mihua 2019Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2019,32,4:3
Decentralized Networked Control System Design Using Takagi-Sugeno(TS) Fuzzy Approach显示文摘This paper proposes a new method for control of continuous large-scale systems where the measures and control functions are distributed on calculating members which can be shared with other applications and connected to digital network communications. At first, the nonlinear large-scale system is described by a Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model. After that, by using a fuzzy LyapunovKrasovskii functional, sufficient conditions of asymptotic stability of the behavior of the decentralized networked control system(DNCS),are developed in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, to illustrate the proposed approach, a numerical example and simulation results are presented.Chedia Latrach Mourad Kchaou Abdelhamid Rabhi Ahmed El Hajjaji 2015International Journal of Automation and computing2015,12,2:3
Robust H∞ output tracking control of uncertain networked control systems显示文摘This paper investigates a problem of robust output tracking control of networked control systems(NCSs) with network-induced delays, packet dropouts, parameter uncertainties and external disturbances. Firstly, an augmented model of time-delay system is proposed for networked tracking control systems. Then, considering the piecewise differentiable characteristic of time-delay, the criterion to output tracking performance analysis and controller design are derived by using an approach of free weighting matrix, reciprocally convex and cone complementarity linearization(CCL). Finally, simulation results of numerical examples show the effectiveness of the proposed approach, and illustrate the advantages of the proposed criteria which outperform previous criteria in the literature.刘义才 Liu Bin 2019High Technology Letters2019,25,3:2
Stability Analysis of Nonlinear Networked Control System with Integral Quadratic Constraints Performance in Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Model显示文摘This paper focuses on the stability analysis of nonlinear networked control system with integral quadratic constraints(IQC) performance, dynamic quantization, variable sampling intervals, and communication delays. By using input-delay and parallel distributed compensation(PDC) techniques, we establish the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model for the system, in which the sampling period of the sampler and signal transmission delay are transformed to the refreshing interval of a zero-order holder(ZOH). By the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii-based methods, a delay-dependent criterion is derived to ensure the asymptotic stability for the system with IQC performance via the H∞ state feedback control. The efficiency of the method is illustrated on a simulation exampler.PENG Gaofeng LIU Hongping LENG Yang WANG Yong ZHAO Na 2019Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2019,24,5:2

Output Feedback Control of Networked Systems显示文摘This paper considers the problem of control of networked systems via output feedback. The controller consists of two parts: a state observer that estimates plant state from the output when it is available via the communication network, and a model of the plant that is used to generate a control signal when the plant output is not available from the network. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of the closed loop system are derived in terms of the networked dwell time and the system parameters. The results suggest simple procedures for designing the output feedback controller proposed. Numerical simulations show the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed methods.Shumei Mu, Tianguang Chu, Long Wang Intelligent Control Laboratory, Center for Systems and Control, Department of Mechanics and Engineering Science Peking University, Beijing 100871, PRC Wensheng Yu Institute of Automation Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100080, PRC 2004International Journal of Automation and computing2004,1,1:1
Dynamic output feedback control of systems with event-driven control inputs显示文摘In this paper, a dynamic output feedback control problem is investigated for systems with eventdriven control inputs. With both continuous and sampled output measurements in the systems, two types of dynamic output feedback controllers are designed based on a predefined event-driven scheduler for the control signals, respectively. With the proposed event-driven control scheme, the Zeno behavior can be avoided, and the states of closed-loop systems are also guaranteed to be globally uniformly ultimately bounded. Detailed parameters of the event-driven controllers are constructed under the stabilizable conditions of the closedloop systems. Finally, both the effectiveness and merits of the proposed design techniques are verified by the numerical examples.Jinhui ZHANG Hao XU Li DAI Yuanqing XIA 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,5:1
An Integrated Control and Scheduling Optimization Method of Networked Control Systems显示文摘Feedback control systems wherein the control loops are closed through a real-time network are called networked control systems (NCSs). The limitation of communication bandwidth results in transport delay, affects the property of real-time system, and degrades the performance of NCSs. An integrated control and scheduling optimization method using genetic algorithm is proposed in this paper. This method can synchronously optimize network scheduling and improve the performance of NCSs. To illustrate its effectiveness, an example is provided.何坚强 张焕春 经亚枝 2004Journal of Electronic Science and Technology of China2004,2,2:1
Performance Improvement of NCSs Under Complex Network via Concurrent Paths显示文摘Different from the single paths between controllers and plants of networked control systems(NCSs), the complex network provides widespread links and brings plenty of paths from the controller side to the plant side. Benefit from this advantage, a novel data transmission dispatching strategy is proposed. When the direct path can not satisfy the condition of system demand, neither stability nor performance, some specified paths compose a concurrent-path to transmit the control signal concurrently. Firstly, the networked control systems(NCSs) are expressed by the switched systems model with the constant network-induced delay, and the network communication is described as a packet-loss process. Secondly, taking system's exponential decay rate as its performance indicator, the relationship between control signal transmission paths and system performance is quantitatively given by considering packet losses as the compound poisson process and the alternating renewal process. Then, due to that different combination of paths induces the different statistical properties of packet losses, the approach to find an appropriate concurrent-path is proposed concerning two mutually constrained factors, the system performance demand and the utilization of network resources. After the theoretical analysis, a distributed communication platform based on peer-to-peer(P2P) network technology is designed and implemented to realize the concurrent-path transmission on internet. Finally, the practical experiment on the platform demonstrates the validity and effectiveness of proposed approach.WANG Zhan-Yu LIU Guo-Ping 2019Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2019,32,2:0
Lyapunov-based event-triggered control for nonlinear plants subject to disturbances and transmission delays显示文摘This paper studies event-triggered control for disturbed nonlinear systems. A new dual-stage Lyapunov-based event-triggering condition is proposed to cope with the time-varying transmission delays. In the first stage, the ratio of Lyapunov function values at the last two triggering instants is calculated. Then based on the ratio, the corresponding threshold function is selected from two candidate forms. It is proved that the designed event-triggered control system is input-to-state practically stable with respect to the measurement errors and disturbances. Moreover, Zeno behavior is excluded successfully by calculating the lower bound of the minimum inter-event times. Finally, a simulation example is provided to show the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Xiaoda HU Hao YU Fei HAO 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,5:0
Robust networked H_∞ synchronization of nonidentical chaotic Lur'e systems显示文摘We mainly investigate the robust networked H∞synchronization problem of nonidentical chaotic Lur'e systems. In the design of the synchronization scheme, some network characteristics, such as nonuniform sampling, transmissioninduced delays, and data packet dropouts, are considered. The parameters of master–slave chaotic Lur'e systems often allow differences. The sufficient condition in terms of linear matrix inequality(LMI) is obtained to guarantee the dissipative synchronization of nonidentical chaotic Lur'e systems in network environments. A numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.杨德东 2014Chinese Physics B2014,23,1:0
Information theoretic conditions for tracking in leader-follower systems with communication constraints显示文摘In this paper, we introduce a general framework for tracking in leader-follower systems under communication constraints, in which the leader and follower systems as well as the corresponding controllers are spatially distributed and connected over communication links. We provide necessary conditions on the channel data rate of each communication link for tracking of the leader-follower systems. By considering the forward and feedback channels as one cascade channel, we also provide a lower bound for the data rate of the cascade channel for the system to track a reference signal such that the tracking error has finite second moment. Examples and simulations are provided to demonstrate some of the results.Yongxiang RUAN Sudharman K.JAYAWEERA Chaouki T.ABDALLAH 2013控制理论与应用(英文版)2013,11,3:0
