7Reversible data hiding based on histogram and prediction error for sharing secret data显示文摘With the advancement of communication technology,a large number of data are constantly transmitted through the internet for various purposes,which are prone to be illegally accessed by third parties.Therefore,securing such data is crucial to protect the transmitted information from falling into the wrong hands.Among data protection schemes,Secret Image Sharing is one of the most popular methods.It protects critical messages or data by embedding them in an image and sharing it with some users.Furthermore,it combines the security concepts in that private data are embedded into a cover image and then secured using the secret-sharing method.Despite its advantages,this method may produce noise,making the resulting stego file much different from its cover.Moreover,the size of private data that can be embedded is limited.This research works on these problems by utilizing prediction-error expansion and histogram-based approaches to embed the data.To recover the cover image,the SS method based on the Chinese remainder theorem is used.The experimental results indicate that this proposed method performs better than similar methods in several cover images and scenarios.Chaidir Chalaf Islamy Tohari Ahmad Royyana Muslim Ijtihadie 2023Cybersecurity2023,6,4:0
8Ontology-Based News Linking for Semantic Temporal Queries显示文摘Daily newspapers publish a tremendous amount of information disseminated through the Internet.Freely available and easily accessible large online repositories are not indexed and are in an un-processable format.The major hindrance in developing and evaluating existing/new monolingual text in an image is that it is not linked and indexed.There is no method to reuse the online news images because of the unavailability of standardized benchmark corpora,especially for South Asian languages.The corpus is a vital resource for developing and evaluating text in an image to reuse local news systems in general and specifically for the Urdu language.Lack of indexing,primarily semantic indexing of the daily news items,makes news items impracticable for any querying.Moreover,the most straightforward search facility does not support these unindexed news resources.Our study addresses this gap by associating and marking the newspaper images with one of the widely spoken but under-resourced languages,i.e.,Urdu.The present work proposed a method to build a benchmark corpus of news in image form by introducing a web crawler.The corpus is then semantically linked and annotated with daily news items.Two techniques are proposed for image annotation,free annotation and fixed cross examination annotation.The second technique got higher accuracy.Build news ontology in protégéusing OntologyWeb Language(OWL)language and indexed the annotations under it.The application is also built and linked with protégéso that the readers and journalists have an interface to query the news items directly.Similarly,news items linked together will provide complete coverage and bring together different opinions at a single location for readers to do the analysis themselves.Muhammad Islam Satti Jawad Ahmed Hafiz Syed Muhammad Muslim Akber Abid Gardezi Shafiq Ahmad Abdelaty Edrees Sayed Salman Naseer Muhammad Shafiq 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,2:0

10The identification and pathogenicity of Fusarium oxysporum causing acacia seedling wilt disease显示文摘Wilt disease with unknown etiology causes mass mortality in commercial Acacia mangium nurseries in South Sumatra.This pathogen induces symptoms of chlorosis in the lower leaves and develops into the shoots;subsequently,the plants wither and die.This research identifies the path-ogenic species causing this wilt disease and to assess its pathogenicity or virulence.Fifteen isolates of Fusarium oxysporum with varying colony sizes and color pigments were recovered from symptomatic A.mangium seedlings.The pathogenicity test showed that all isolates could infect plants with wilt severity reaching 80%,and the pathogen was verified as causing vascular disease.Koch’s postulate was verified by re-isolating the F.oxysporum isolates.The pathogen was confirmed by observing the morphological characters and elongation factor 1-α(tef1-α)gene sequences as F.oxysporum.Soleha Soleha Ahmad Muslim Suwandi Suwandi Sabaruddin Kadir Rahmat Pratama 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2:0
11Fractional Processing Based Adaptive Beamforming Algorithm显示文摘Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in various signal processing applications due to their ability to improve performance without significantly increasing complexity.The goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity lower.The effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this context.In this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applications for effective utilization of resources.This algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computational complexity.The FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gradient in addition to the standard ordered gradient in weight adaptation.The derivation of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathematical convergence analysis.Performance is evaluated through simulations using mean square error(MSE)minimization as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for various parameters.The results,obtained through Matlab simulations,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter plots.FLMS outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applications.Syed Asghar Ali Shah Tariqullah Jan Syed Muslim Shah Ruhul Amin Khalil Ahmad Sawalmeh Muhammad Anan 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
12Appearance Based Dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition Using 3D Separable Convolutional Neural Network显示文摘Appearance-based dynamic Hand Gesture Recognition(HGR)remains a prominent area of research in Human-Computer Interaction(HCI).Numerous environmental and computational constraints limit its real-time deployment.In addition,the performance of a model decreases as the subject’s distance from the camera increases.This study proposes a 3D separable Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),considering the model’s computa-tional complexity and recognition accuracy.The 20BN-Jester dataset was used to train the model for six gesture classes.After achieving the best offline recognition accuracy of 94.39%,the model was deployed in real-time while considering the subject’s attention,the instant of performing a gesture,and the subject’s distance from the camera.Despite being discussed in numerous research articles,the distance factor remains unresolved in real-time deployment,which leads to degraded recognition results.In the proposed approach,the distance calculation substantially improves the classification performance by reducing the impact of the subject’s distance from the camera.Additionally,the capability of feature extraction,degree of relevance,and statistical significance of the proposed model against other state-of-the-art models were validated using t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding(t-SNE),Mathew’s Correlation Coefficient(MCC),and the McNemar test,respectively.We observed that the proposed model exhibits state-of-the-art outcomes and a comparatively high significance level.Muhammad Rizwan Sana Ul Haq Noor Gul Muhammad Asif Syed Muslim Shah Tariqullah Jan Naveed Ahmad 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7:0
