2Composition and Physico-Chemical Properties of Meat from Capons Fed Cereals显示文摘Chemical composition,physico-chemical properties and fatty acid composition of breast and drumstick meat from capons(castrated male cockerels) fed cereals were studied.Three groups of capons were reared. One group was fed ad libitum the same commercial diet until the 4th mon of life. The last month of its life, the capons of this group were fed corn. The second and third group of capons were fed the same diet from caponization. The second group was fed mixture of corn(50%) and wheat(50%).The third group of capons was fed 2/3 corn and 1/3 mixture of corn(50%) and barley(50%).Capons were reared under free-range conditions and slaughtered at 150 d of age.Caponization was performed at 48 d.No significant effects of feeding in chemical composition,pH,water holding capacity, drip and cooking losses and texture of the meat were observed. The meat of the third group(capons fed 83%corn) was more yellow and showed higher content of C18:2 than that of the other capons.Olga Díaz Luisana Rodríguez Alexandr Torres ngel Cobos 2013Journal of Integrative Agriculture2013,12,11:1

4Current strategies to diagnose and manage positive surgical margins and local recurrence after partial nephrectomy显示文摘Objective:No standard strategy for diagnosis and management of positive surgical margin(PSM)and local recurrence after partial nephrectomy(PN)are reported in literature. This review aims to provide an overview of the current strategies and further perspectives on this patient setting. Methods:A non-systematic review of the literature was completed. The research included the most updated articles(about the last 10 years). Results:Techniques for diagnosing PSMs during PN include intraoperative frozen section, imprinting cytology, and other specific tools. No clear evidence is reported about these methods.Regarding PSM management, active surveillance with a combination of imaging and laboratory evaluation is the first option line followed by surgery.Regarding local recurrence management, surgery is the primary curative approach when possible but it may be technically difficult due to anatomy resultant from previous PN.In this scenario, thermal ablation(TA)may have the potential to circumvent these limitations representing a less invasive alternative.Salvage surgery represents a valid option;six studies analyzed the outcomes of nephrectomy on local recurrence after PN with three of these focused on robotic approach.Overall, complication rates of salvage surgery are higher compared to TA but ablation presents a higher recurrence rate up to 25%of cases that can often be managed with repeat ablation. Conclusion:Controversy still exists surrounding the best strategy for management and diagnosis of patients with PSMs or local recurrence after PN.Active surveillance is likely to be the optimal first-line management option for most patients with PSMs.Ablation and salvage surgery both represent valid options in patients with local recurrence after PN.Conversely, salvage PN and radical nephrectomy have fewer recurrences but are associated with a higher complication rate compared to TA.In this scenario, robotic surgery plays an important role in improving salvage PN and radical nephrectomy outcomes.Umberto Carbonara Daniele Amparore Cosimo Gentile Riccardo Bertolo Selcuk Erdem Alexandre Ingels Michele Marchioni Constantijn H.J.Muselaers Onder Kara Laura Marandino Nicola Pavan Eduard Roussel Angela Pecoraro Fabio Crocerossa Giuseppe Torre Riccardo Campi Pasquale Ditonno 2022Asian Journal of Urology2022,9,3:0
5Behavioral study with Erythrina velutina fractions显示文摘Objective:To study the behavioral effects of semi purified fraction prepared from the stem bark of Erythrina velutina on mice. Methods:Three chloroformic fractions(CA) at 50 or 100 mg/kg(CA1,CA2 and CA3) were tested in two behavioral tests;plus maze and open field. Results:In the plus maze test,it was observed a decrease in the number of entries in the closed arms(NECA) CA2 at both doses as compared to the control group. In the open field test,CA2 and CA3 fractions decreased the number of squares crossed and the time of permanence on the bar, increased the number of falls at both doses in the rota rod test. The CA2 fraction decreased the NECA,but this data did not characterize an anxiolytic effect. It was the consequence from decrease of locomotor activity(LA) observed in the open field test, that the decrease of LA and rearing, the number of falls and the decrease in time of permanence on the bar in rota rod test were observed after treatment with CA2 and CA3 at both doses, suggesting sedative effect. Conclusion:The present work demonstrated that CA2 and CA3 fractions have impairing effect on LA and motor coordination.Silvania Maria Mendes Vasconcelos Natalia Martins Lima Lucas Siqueira de Lucena Alexandre Cesar Praxedes Rodrigues Edilberto Rocha Silveira Carlos Clayton Torres Aguiar Paula Matias Soares Francisca Clea Florenco de Sousa Glauce Socorro de Barros Viana 2009Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2009,2,5:0
