11Development of Wi-Fi Based Home Energy Monitoring System for Green Internet of Things显示文摘Green Internet of things(Io T) has been heralded as the 'next big thing' waiting to be realized in energy-efficient ubiquitous computing. Green Io T revolves around increased machine-to-machine communications and encompasses energy-efficient wireless embedded sensors and actuators that assist in monitoring and controlling home appliances. Energy efficiency in home applications can be achieved by better monitoring of the specific energy consumption by the appliances. There are many wireless standards that can be adopted for the design of such embedded devices in Io T. These communication technologies cater to different requirements and are classified as the short-range and long-range ones. To select the best communication method, this paper surveys various Io T communication technologies and discusses the advantages and disadvantages to develop an energy monitoring system. An Io T device based on the Wi-Fi technology system is developed and tested for usage in the home energy monitoring environment. The performance of this system is then evaluated by the measurement of power consumption metrics. 12A Study of Fabrication Technique, Structural and Morphological Behavior of Polypropylene Reinforced with Short Natural Fiber Banana显示文摘Fiber reinforced polypropylene has been widely accepted as material for structural and engineering applications in recent years.Jute,Banana fibers etc.are the most common low cost,versatile,renewable and abundantly available natural fibers which have biodegradable properties.All these fibers are versatile,renewable and most common agro based fibers that have enormous aspect due to their potentiality in composite manufacture.In comparison to other artificial fibers there are many advantages of natural fibers due to everyday applications such as,paperweight,suitcases,lampshades,helmets,and shower and bath units.Untreated and alkali treated banana fiber reinforced with Polypropylene matrix composite were fabricated with 10-25%loading of fiber by weight and were fabricated as Polypropylene Banana Composite(PPBC).Using melt mixing hot press molding technique these biodegradable composites were prepared.Different characteristics like morphologies and micro structural analysis of the composites were studied by Scanning electron microscope(SEM)and infrared spectroscopy instrument(IR).Due to the concept of group vibration infrared spectroscopy has the extensive application.Any kind of structural change such as addition or substitution of groups or atoms in a molecule may affect the relative mode of vibration of the group.This causes change in IR spectral band position,change in relative intensities and appearance of new bands and disappearance of any band and splitting of a single band into two or more bands.To increase the utility of fiber infrared spectroscopy can also be used.It deals with the interaction of infrared light with matter.The former can indicate the presence of functional groups qualitatively and the latter can provide a semi quantitative measure of their concentrations.On the other hand Electron Microscopy is most widely used to obtain information regarding the morphology of fiber surfaces,especially SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy).Using SEM,it is easy to determine the differences of fiber surface topography after and before treatment,and hence the formation of fiber polymer composites.Fiber deboning was also observed for untreated and treated fiber pp matrix composite.The SEM can have a magnification range from a few times to several hundred thousand times.MD.NAZRUL ISLAM M.A GAFUR AMIR HOSSAIN KHAN 2020Journal of Building Material Science2020,2,2:0

14Incidental findings of Cysticercus tenuicollis metacestodes in five oryx species显示文摘Objective:To determine the prevalence of Cysticercus tenuicollis(C.tenuicollis) metacestodes in five oryx species kept in A1 Ain Zoo animal collection.Methods:This study was based on a retrospective analysis of post-mortem records covering a four year period(July 2010 to July 2014).Results:A total of 213 individual animals were recorded dead during the four year period(July 2010 to July 2014).Out of this,12(5.6%) were recorded with C.tenuicollis.More females(8) than males(4) were recorded to have C.tenuicollis,although this was not statistically significant(P= 0.3737).Conclusions:This study shows that,Arabian oryx,beisa oryx,fringe-eared oryx,gemsbok and scimitar-horned oryx are susceptible to C.tenuicollis.Based on the epidemiology and the life cycle of this parasite,it is possible that these captive animals ingested the parasite through contaminated feed which could have happened in the pasture land or stray dogs and wild canidae(e.g.fox) visited the zoo contaminating the oryx feed.Stray dogs and wild canidae should be prevented from visiting pasture land and a captive animal facility.Stephen Chege Arshad Toosy Ahmed Sakr Ahmed Shawki Sean O'Sullivan Ana Perez de Vargas Tatiana Cavero Amir Islam 2016Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2016,6,1:0
