| 2 | Association of insertion-deletions polymorphisms with colorectal cancer risk and clinical features显示文摘AIM To investigate the association between 16 insertiondeletions(INDEL) polymorphisms, colorectal cancer(CRC) risk and clinical features in an admixed population.METHODS O n e h u n d re d a n d fo r ty p a t i e n t s w i t h C R C a n d 140 cancer-free subjects were examined. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood samples. Polymorphisms and genomic ancestry distribution were assayed by Multiplex-PCR reaction, separated by capillary electrophoresis on the ABI 3130 Genetic Analyzer instrument and analyzed on Gene Mapper ID v3.2. Clinicopathological data were obtained by consulting the patients' clinical charts, intra-operative documentation, and pathology scoring.RESULTS Logistic regression analysis showed that polymorphism variations in IL4 gene was associated with increased CRC risk, while TYMS and UCP2 genes were associated with decreased risk. Reference to anatomical localization of tumor Del allele of NFKB1 and CASP8 were associated with more colon related incidents than rectosigmoid. In relation to the INDEL association with tumor node metastasis(TNM) stage risk, the Ins alleles of ACE, HLAG and TP53(6 bp INDEL) were associated with higher TNM stage. Furthermore, regarding INDEL association with relapse risk, the Ins alleles of ACE, HLAG, and UGT1A1 were associated with early relapse risk, as well as the Del allele of TYMS. Regarding INDEL association with death risk before 10 years, the Ins allele of SGSM3 and UGT1A1 were associated with death risk.CONCLUSION The INDEL variations in ACE, UCP2, TYMS, IL4, NFKB1, CASP8, TP53, HLAG, UGT1A1, and SGSM3 were associated with CRC risk and clinical features in an admixed population. These data suggest that this cancer panel might be useful as a complementary tool for better clinical management, and more studies need to be conducted to confirm these findings. | Diego Marques Layse Raynara Ferreira-Costa Lorenna Larissa Ferreira-Costa Romualdo da Silva Correa Aline Maciel Pinheiro Borges Fernanda Ribeiro Ito Carlos Cesar de Oliveira Ramos Raul Hernandes Bortolin André Ducati Luchessi Andrea Ribeiro-dos-Santos Sidney Santos Vivian Nogueira Silbiger | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,37: | 2 |

| 11 | Crustal architecture and metallogeny associated with the Paleo-Tethys evolution in the Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt,Northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Eastern Kunlun Orogenic Belt(EKOB)in the Northern Tibet Plateau hosts a wide variety of metal deposits related to the Late Paleozoic to Mesozoic magmatism. In this study,we investigate the spatiotemporal distribution of the Late Paleozoic to Mesozoic granitic rocks and associated metal deposits in the EKOB and provide a comprehensive compilation of the geochronological, geochemical and isotopic data on these rocks. We compute regional zircon Hf isotope and crustal thickness maps from the data, based on which a comprehensive model is proposed involving subduction(ca.270–240 Ma),continental collision(ca.240–224 Ma),and post-collisional extension(ca.224–200 Ma)for the Late Paleozoic to Mesozoic Paleo-Tethys evolution in the EKOB.Zircon Hf isotopic and crustal thickness mapping of Late Paleozoic to Mesozoic magmatic rocks was carried out to evaluate their spatio-temporal and genetic links with the regional metallogeny. The polymetallic Fe-skarn and porphyry Cu(Mo)deposits in the EKOB are located above the Moho uplift region, featuring a comparatively thin crust.Granites associated with porphyry Cu(Mo)and polymetallic Fe skarn mineralization are commonly characterized by highε_(Hf)(t)and younger T_(DM)cvalues,whereas granite related to Cu-Mo-Sn skarn deposits exhibit more variableε_(Hf)(t)values,T_(DM)c ages, and the crust thickness, which suggest that more crustal materials contributed to the formation of Cu-Mo-Sn skarn deposits than those for porphyry Cu(Mo)and polymetallic Fe skarn mineralization. In contrast,vein-type Au deposits are located primarily where the Moho surface displays a depression,i.e.,where the continental crust is relatively thick. The magmatic rocks associated with Au mineralization are characterized by lowε_(Hf)(t)and high T_(DM)cvalues,representing reworked ancient crustal components, similar to those associated with porphyry Mo and epithermal Ag-Pb-Zn-(Au)deposits.Our study indicates that the emplacement of magmatic-hydrothermal deposits was controlled by the crustal structure and magma sources. | Xinming Zhang Xu Zhao Lebing Fu Yanjun Li Andreas Kamradt M.Santosh Chongwen Xu Xiaokun Huang Gregor Borg Junhao Wei | 2023 | Geoscience Frontiers2023,14,6: | 0 |
| 12 | Detection of Gram-Negative Bacteria Carrying the blaKPC-2 Gene from Mangrove Sediments显示文摘Mangroves are environments that have fast cycles associated with high concentration of bacterial decomposers. These are impacted by anthropogenic pollution due to contamination of bacterial species carrying resistance genes. This study aims to evaluate the metabolic profile of the microbiota in mangrove sediments, and verify the presence of Gram-negative bacteria resistant to meropenem. The samples were obtained from location along the Anil river and were seeded in medium supplemented with the antibiotic meropenem in increasing concentrations. The DNA was analyzed by multiplex PCR for detecting resistance genes forβ-lactam antibiotics. The bacteria were identified by Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization–time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF MS).The genes were sequenced by ABI PRISM 3100,analyzed by MEGA 6.0 program, and the sequence identified was assessed by GenBank using the BLAST algorithm.Ecoplate■the kit was used to determine the metabolic profile of the microbiota. The results of the six bacterial isolates showed the blaKPC-2 gene and were identified as Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Pseudomonas putida. The samples showed a greater diversity Shannon index,a rich substrate consumption and high equity. There was a metabolic richness such as carbon consumption profiles, being a factor of adaptation of pathogenic bacteria carrying resistance genes toβ-lactamics antibiotics. | Wallace Ribeiro Nunes Neto Jessica Mayara Mendes Araujo Darlan Ferreira da Silva Joveliane de Melo Monteiro Wallace Borges Pachêco Jessflan Rafael Nascimento Santos Maria Raimunda Chagas Silva Maria Rosa Quaresma Bomfim Andrea de Souza Monteiro | 2019 | Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology2019,7,8: | 0 |
| 13 | Transcranial direct current electrical stimulation in combination with aerobic exercise:A pilot study in post-COVID-19 systemic autoimmune rheumatic patients显示文摘BACKGROUND Systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases(SARDs)are a group of diseases with multiorgan involvement and a high prevalence of chronic pain and fatigue.Patients with SARDs and post-coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)syndrome experience aggravation of symptoms. In this context,it is essential to establish strategies to reduce chronic pain and fatigue and improve quality of life.AIM To assess the efficacy of transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS)for the treatment of fatigue and pain-associated post-COVID-19 syndrome in patients with SARDs.METHODS This study included nine patients with different types of SARDs.All patients had reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)test confirmed COVID-19 as well as significant, persistent fatigue and pain that began to worsen after infection.Anodal tDCS was administered in five daily sessions(2mA,20 min).Concomitantly, patients were involved in aerobic exercise program. All participants were evaluated using specific questionnaires and strength assessment by handgrip and physical function by timed-up-and-go test and sit-to-stand test at baseline(within one week before tDCS protocol),and one week after tDCS protocol.During all procedures, the patients’treatments remained unchanged.RESULTS The sample comprised eight women and one man with a mean age of 48.7±9.6 years. After the tDCS protocol, pain and fatigue significantly improved on the visual analog scale(P<0.05).The physical function also improved 9.5±2.7 vs 6.8±0.8(P=0.001)for timed-up-go-test and 10.3±3.7 vs 15.1±4.0(P=0.037)for sit-to-stand test.None of the patients experienced any adverse events.CONCLUSION The present study showed that tDCS in combination with aerobic exercise was effective in improving physical function, and reducing fatigue/pain in SARDs patients with post-COVID-19 syndrome. | Rafael Giovani Missé Alexandre Moura dos Santos Isabela Bruna Pires Borges Marlise Sítima Mendes Simões Lorenza Rosa Silvério Bruna Lindoso Correia Ana Wook Sook Kim Aline Marques Caetano Sandra Gofinet Pasoto Carla Gonçalves Schahin Saad Diogo Souza Domiciano Clarice Tanaka Julia Maria D’Andrea Greve Abrahão Fontes Baptista Samuel Katsuyuki Shinjo | 2023 | World Journal of Rheumatology2023,11,1: | 0 |
