1Supersonic flow over a pitching delta wing using surface pressure measurements and numerical simulations显示文摘Experimental and numerical methods were applied to investigating high subsonic and supersonic flows over a 60° swept delta wing in fixed state and pitching oscillation.Static pressure coefficient distributions over the wing leeward surface and the hysteresis loops of pressure coefficient versus angle of attack at the sensor locations were obtained by wind tunnel tests.Similar results were obtained by numerical simulations which agreed well with the experiments.Flow structure around the wing was also demonstrated by the numerical simulation.Effects of Mach number and angle of attack on pressure distribution curves in static tests were investigated.Effects of various oscillation parameters including Mach number, mean angle of attack, pitching amplitude and frequency on hysteresis loops were investigated in dynamic tests and the associated physical mechanisms were discussed.Vortex breakdown phenomenon over the wing was identified at high angles of attack using the pressure coefficient curves and hysteresis loops, and its effects on the flow features were discussed.Mostafa HADIDOOLABI Hossein ANSARIAN 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:4
2Tribological Characterization of Commercial Pure Titanium Processed by Multi-Directional Forging显示文摘This work discusses tribological properties of commercial pure (CP) titanium processed by multi-directional forging (MDF) up to six passes at room temperature and 220 ℃. For this purpose, wear test was conducted by dry sliding pin-on-disk method on the initial and ultrafine grained samples using different stress magnitudes of 1, 1.5 and 2 MPa. The results showed that wear resistance of CP titanium increases after the first pass of MDF in comparison with the initial condition, irrespective of the applied normal stress. For example, the average wear rate of MDFed samples was decreased about 30% and 24%, after first pass at room temperature and 220 ℃, respectively. However, average wear rate of the samples processed by six MDF passes was reduced about 40% at lower normal loads;it was increased about 9% at higher ones as compared to the initial condition. It was also found that the dominated wear mechanisms were abrasive and delaminated at the lower stresses, while the delamination mechanism was intensified and a slight adhesion was observed during the higher applied normal loads.I.
