15Effect of ceria surface facet on stability and reactivity of isolated platinum atoms显示文摘Well-defined surface structures and uniformity are key factors in exploring structure–activity relationships in heterogeneous catalysts.A modified atomic layer deposition method and three well-defined CeO_(2) nanoshapes,octahedra with(111)surfaces,cubes exposing(100)facets,and rods with(100)and(110)surface facet terminations,were utilized to synthesize ultra-low loading Pt/CeO_(2) catalysts and allow investigations on the influence of ceria surface facet on isolated Pt species under reducing conditions.A mild reduction temperature(150℃)reduces the initial platinum ions present on the surfaces of the ceria support but preserves the isolated Pt atoms on all ceria surface facets.In contrast,a reduction temperature of 350°C,reveals very different interactions between the initial single Pt atoms and the various ceria surface facets,leading to dissimilar and nonuniform Pt ensembles on the three ceria shapes.To isolate facet dependent Pt–CeO_(2) interactions and avoid variations between Pt species,the Pt1/CeO_(2) catalysts after reduction at 150°C were subjected to CO oxidation conditions.The isolated Pt atoms on the CeO_(2) octahedra and cubes are less active in the CO oxidation reaction,compared with Pt on CeO_(2) rods.In the case of Pt on the CeO_(2) octahedra this is due to strongly bound CO blocking active sites together with a stable CeO_(2)(111)surface limiting the oxygen supply from the support.On the CeO_(2) cubes,some Pt is not available for reaction and CO is bound strongly on the available Pt species.In addition,the Pt catalysts supported on the CeO_(2) cubes are not stable with time on stream.The isolated Pt atoms on the CeO_(2) rods are considerably more active under these conditions and this is due to a weaker Pt–CO bond strength and more facile reverse oxygen spillover from the defect-rich(110)surfaces of the rods due to the lower energy of oxygen vacancy formation on this CeO_(2) surface.The Pt supported on the CeO_(2) rods is also remarkably stable with time on stream.This work demonstrates the importance of using ultra-low loadings of active metal and well-defined oxide supports to isolate interactions between single metal atoms and oxide supports and determine the effects of the oxide support surface facet on the active metal at the atomic level.Bochuan Song Shuxin Si Asiye Soleymani Yan Xin Helena E.Hagelin-Weaver 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:0

17Potential of fungal thermostable alpha amylase enzyme isolated from Hot springs of Central Anatolia(Turkey)in wheat bread quality显示文摘Many industrial processes may quickly proceed with biotechnological and enzymatic support.Functional and production facilitator properties of enzymes have provided variable advantages for industry.Therefore,enzyme utilization has become inevitable for industry and supplied financial advantages in case of the high energy requirement process.In the study,the amylase enzymes were isolated from thermal spring sources,and the effect on bread quality was examined.Firstly,fungal amylases were isolated from thermal spring sources(29-98◦C)in various places around Turkey.After determining the functional properties of amylase enzymes,the most active enzyme was used in bread production to examine their effect on bread quality.The maximum alpha-amylase activity(38.6 U/mg)has been detected in Aspergillus niger G 2-1 isolate.When compared with the commercially available one,native alpha-amylase increased the bread volume.A significant difference(p<0.01)was found in the color properties and size of the bread between microbial produced in this study and commercially produced alpha-amylase.Five ppm alpha-amylase addition showed the optimum bread properties for dough processing.Arzu Unal Asiye Seis Subasi Semra Malkoc Ijlal Ocak SElif Korcan Elif Yetilmezer Seyhun Yurdugül Hülya Yaman Turgay Sanal Alaettin Keceli 2022Food Bioscience2022,45,1:0

20Effects of extra-corporeal shock waves on penile hemodynamics and histopathology in rats显示文摘Aim:To study the effect of extra-corporeal shock wave(ESW) on the penile hemodynamics and histopathology in rats.Methods:Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided at random into 3 groups.ESW application was performed with a siemens Lithostar with the rats under anesthesia lying prone on the balloon probe.Rats in Group I received a total of 1000 shocks at 18kV and immediately underwent hemodynamic evaluation performed by direct electrostimulation of the cavernous nerve and measurement of intracavernous pressure (ICP).Rats in Group Ⅱ received 3 times 1000 shocks at 18kV at weekly intervals and hemodynamic evaluation was performed 1 month after the last ESW application.Group Ⅲ served as the control.Histopathological examinations of penile tissues were done on Masson's trichrome and hematoxylin and eosin stained sections.Results:Penile hemodynamic evaluation showed a trend toward a diminished mean maximal ICP,duration of erection,ICP during the plateau phase and maximal ICP/blood pressure ratio in Group I,although there was no significant significance.The mean latency period in Groups I and Ⅱ was prolonged.Petechial bleeding within tunical layers and small foci of hemorrhage within the corpora cavernosa were observed in Group I.However,Histopathological examination failed to reveal any significant differences between the groups in terms of smooth muscle content,tunical thickness,organization of collagen bundles and elastic fiber-lattice framework.Conclusion:ESW has certain damaging effects on the penis.Ahmet Tefekli Abdullah Armagan Bulent Erol Murat Celtik Isi Kilicaslan Asiye Nurten Ates Kadioglu 2002Asian Journal of Andrology2002,4,4:0
