| 1 | ANALYTICAL ANALYSIS OF INTERFACIAL STRESSES IN FRP-RC HYBRID BEAMS WITH TIME-DEPENDENT DEFORMATIONS OF RC BEAM显示文摘In this paper, the effect of time-dependent deformations (such as shrinkage and creep) on the interfacial stresses between an RC beam and FRP plate is presented. For this end, a closed-form solution for such stresses in externally FRP plated RC beams including creep and shrinkage effects is presented. The developed model is formulated to predict the interfacial stresses at time ‘t’, in which the RC beams have been already subjected to creep and shrinkage effects. The adherend shear deformations have been included in the present theoretical analysis by assuming a parabolic shear stress through the thickness of the RC beam and the FRP panel. Contrary to some existing studies, the assumption that both RC beam and FRP panel have the same curvature is not used in the present investigation. | 7 | In vitro activity of natural honey alone and in combination with curcuma starch against Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in correlation with bioactive compounds and diastase activity显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the in vitro activity and synergism of the combinations of natural honey and curcuma starch against Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in correlation with total phenolic,flavonoid contents,and diastase activity.Methods:The Folin-Ciocalteu test was used to determine the total polyphenols content and the flavonoid content was analyzed using by the aluminum chloride method.The antifungal activity of the natural honey,determined by an agar well diffusion assay and agar incorporation method.Results:Total phenolic content varied from(63.93±0.11)to(95.36±6.08)mg GAE/100 g honey as gallic acid equivalent.Total flavonoids content varied from(5.41±0.04)to(9.94±0.54)mg CE/100g.Diastase activity values were between(7.3±2.8)and(26±2.8).The zone inhibition diameter for the six honey samples without starch ranged between 6 and 20 mm.When starch was mixed with honey and then added to well,a zone inhibition increase diameter 7 and 21 mm.The percentage increase was noticed with each variety and it ranged between 5%and 62.5%.The minimal inhibitory concentrations for the six varieties of honey without starch against Rhodotorula mucilaginosa ranged between 28%and 36%(v/v).When starch was incubated with honey and then added to media,a minimal inhibitory concentration drop has been noticed with each variety.It ranged between 6.66%and 20%(w/v).No significant correlation was established between diastase activity and bioactive compounds.Conclusions:The mixture of curcuma starch and honey could lead to the development of new combination antibiotics against Rhodotorula | Moussa Ahmed Noureddine Djebli Saad Aissat Baghdad Khiati Abdelmalek Meslem Salima Bacha | 2013 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,10: | 0 |

| 9 | In silico assessment of human health risks caused by cyanotoxins from cyanobacteria显示文摘Harmful algal blooms(HABs)that are formed by cyanobacteria have become a serious issue worldwide in recent years.Cyanobacteria can release a type of secondary metabolites called cyanotoxins into aquatic systems which may indirectly or directly provide health risks to the environment and humans.Cyanotoxins provide some of the most powerful natural poisons including potent neurotoxins,hepatotoxins,cytotoxins,and endotoxins that may result in environmental health risks,and long-term morbidity and mortality to animals and humans.In this research,we used the chemcomputational tool Molinspiration for molecular property predictions,Pred-hERG 4.2 web software for cardiac toxicity prediction,and Pred-Skin 2.0 web software for predicting skin sensitization.We are predicting some toxicological aspects of cyanobacteria here using chemcomputational tools with the hypothesis that cyanotoxins are providing a risk to human health.We are using the tool Pred-hERG 4.2 to predict hERG channel blocking potential and the Pred-skin tool to predict skin sensitization due to cyanotoxins.The potential of anatoxin,ambigol,the microcystin group,and lyngbyatoxin A,lyngbyatoxin B,nodularin-R,and saxitoxin were predicted to cause skin sensitization in the final results(consensus model).Anatoxin-a and lyngbyatoxin were predicted to allow GI absorption and blood–brain barrier penetration.Among the 20 predicted cyanotoxins only aeruginosin 103-A,ambigol A,and ambigol were predicted by Pred-hERG 4.2 according to the applicability domain results as potential cardiotoxins with weak or moderate potency.Lyngbyatoxin shows activity through the GPCR ligand and protease,kinase,and enzyme inhibitor. | JIA-FONG HONG BAGHDAD OUDDANE JIANG-SHIOU HWANG HANS-UWE DAHMS | 2021 | BIOCELL2021,45,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Soil erodibility mapping using three approaches in the Tangiers province–Northern Morocco显示文摘Soil erodibility is a key factor in assessing soil loss rates.In fact,soil loss is the most occurring land degradation form in Morocco,affecting rural and urban vulnerable areas.This work deals with large scale mapping of soil erodibility using three mapping approaches:(i)the CORINE approach developed for Europe by the JRC;(ii)the UNEP/FAO approach developed within the frame of the United Nations Environmental Program for the Mediterranean area;(iii)the Universal Soil Loss Equation(USLE)K factor.Our study zone is the province of Tangiers,North-West of Morocco.For each approach,we mapped and analyzed different erodibility factors in terms of parent material,topography and soil attributes.The thematic maps were then integrated using a Geographic Information System to elaborate a soil erodibility map for each of the three approaches.Finally,the validity of each approach was checked in the field,focusing on highly eroded areas,by confronting the estimated soil erodibility and the erosion state as observed in the field.We used three statistical indicators for validation:overall accuracy,weighted Kappa factor and omission/commission errors.We found that the UNEP/FAO approach,based principally on lithofacies and topography as mapping inputs,is the most adapted for the case of our study zone,followed by the CORINE approach.The USLE K factor underestimated the soil erodibility,especially for highly eroded areas. | Hamza Iaaich Rachid Moussadek Bouamar Baghdad Rachid Mrabet Ahmed Douaik Derradji Abdelkrim Abdelhak Bouabdli | 2016 | International Soil and Water Conservation Research2016,4,3: | 0 |
