1A Yang-invigorating compound mixture alters neurotransmitters in rat telencephalon after exercise-induced fatigue显示文摘The aim of this study was to observe the changes in monoamine and amino acid neurotransmitters in the telencephalon of rats at four functional states after exhaustive exercise and treatment with a Yang-invigorating compound recipe.The main components of this Chinese traditional medicine preparation included Radix Ginseng,Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Fructus Schisandrae,Cortex Cinnamomi,Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum,Radix Morindae Officinalis,and Gecko.This experiment showed that dopamine(DA),5-hydroxyindole acetic acid(5-HIAA),and γ-aminobutyric acid levels noticeably decreased,while DA/5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) increased.Furthermore,glutamate(Glu) and Glu/γ-aminobutyric acid significantly increased after 1 hour of exercise in rats in the exercise + medication group.The 5-HT and 5-HT/5-HIAA levels noticeably decreased,and DA/5-HT and Glu levels showed a robust and significant increase immediately after exhaustive exercise.The 5-HT,5-HT/5-HIAA levels sharply decreased,while DA/5-HT,Glu and γ-aminobutyric acid levels increased at 12 hours after exhaustion recovery.The results prove that Chinese herbal formula for strengthening Yang can induce changes in neurotransmitters in the telencephalon of rats after exhaustive exercise during the recovery process,and further improve central nervous system function.Hongzhen Liu Li Zeng Xiliang Kong Lei Zhu Benhua Hou 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,15:0
2Determining the effects of LFHV-PEF treatment on the water distribution and vigor of aged rice seeds using LF-NMR显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effect of low-frequency high-voltage pulsed electric field (LFHV-PEF) treatment on the germination of aged rice seeds. Aged rice seeds were subjected to LFHV-PEF treatment with different electric field strengths, and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR) was performed to acquire the LF-NMR data of rice seeds at different germination periods during a standard seed germination test to analyze their internal patterns of water state and distribution. Optimal treatment conditions were determined based on the physicochemical data collected during germination, and the improvements in seed vigor were verified. The findings indicated that during germination, the contents of bound and semi-bound water within the aged rice seeds initially increased and then decreased, whereas free water and total water contents increased continuously and rapidly. Side peaks were also observed within the seeds. Under the LFHV-PEF treatment, the semi-bound water within the seeds was more easily converted to free water, and the water absorption rate, germination potential, germination rate, germination index, and vigor index of these seeds improved. Further, the optimal electrical field strength was 12 kV. By analyzing the internal patterns of water state and distribution in seeds, the mechanism by which electric field treatment improved seed vigor was elucidated, thus, providing theoretical support and data evidence for research on water absorption during the germination of rice seeds, and methods for improving seed vigor.Ensi Cheng Ping Song Tiangang Hou Liyan Wu Benhua Zhang 2022International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,4:0
