By the imbedded Markov chain theory and the probability generating function method, the mean values of queue length and message waiting time are explicitly obtained. 2Apatite fission track thermochronology in the Kuluketage and Aksu areas,NW China:Implication for tectonic evolution of the northern Tarim显示文摘Tarim Precambrian bedrocks are well exposed in the Kuluketage and Aksu areas,where twenty four samples were taken to reveal the denudation history of the northern Tarim Craton.Apatite fission track dating and thermal history modeling suggest that the northern Tarim experienced multi-stage cooling events which were assumed to be associated with the distant effects of the Cimmerian orogeny and India-Eurasia collision in the past.But the first episode of exhumation in the northern Tarim,occurring in the mid-Permian to Triassic,is here suggested to be induced by docking of the Tarim Craton and final amalgamation of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.The cooling event at ca.170 Ma may be triggered by the Qiangtang-Eurasia collision.Widespread Cretaceous exhumation could be linked with docking of the Lhasa terrane in the late Jurassic.Cenozoic reheating and recooling likely occurred because of the northpropagating stress,however,this has not affected the northern Tarim much because the Tarim is characterized by rigid block-like motion.Zhiyong Zhang Wenbin Zhu Dewen Zheng Bihai Zheng Wei Yang 2016Geoscience Frontiers2016,7,2:8

4Selectivity enhancement of quaternized poly(arylene ether ketone)membranes by ion segregation for vanadium redox flow batteries显示文摘Quaternary ammonium densely functionalized octa-benzylmethyl-containing poly(arylene ether ketone)s(QA-OMPAEKs) with ion exchange capacities(IECs) ranging from 1.23 to 2.21 mmol g^(-1) were synthesized from:(1) Ullmann coupling extension of tetra-benzylmethyl-containing bisphenol A;(2) condensation polymerization with activated dihalide in the presence of K_2CO_3;(3) selective bromination using N-bromosuccinimide; and(4) quantitative quaternization using trimethylamine. Both smallangle X-ray scattering(SAXS) and transmission electron microscope(TEM) characterizations revealed distinct nano-phase separation in QA-OMPAEKs as a result of the dense quaternization. The QA-OMPAEK-20 with an IEC of 1.98 mmol g^(-1) exhibited a high SO_4^(2-) conductivity of 11.4 mS cm^(-1) and a low VO^(2+) permeability of 0.06×10^(-12) m^2 s^(-1) at room temperature,leading to a dramatically higher ion selectivity than Nafion N212. Consequently, the vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB)assembled with QA-OMPAEK-20 achieved a Coulombic efficiency of 96.9% and an energy efficiency of 84.8% at a current density of 50 mA cm^(-2), which were much higher than those of the batteries assembled with Nafion N212 and a home-made control membrane without distinct nano-phase separation. 5EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS OF CAVITATION EFFECTS ON FLOW CHARACTERISTICS OF SMALL ORIFICES AND VALVES IN WATER HYDRAULICS显示文摘The flow characteristics and cavitation effects of water passing through small sharp-edged cylindrical orificesand valves of different shapes in water hydraulics are investigated. The test results using orifices with different aspect ra-tios and different diameters show that the flow coefficients in the case of non-cavitating flow are larger than that of row inthe case of cavitation occurrence. The flow coefficients of flow with cavitation initially decrease as Reynolds number in-creases and ultimately tend to be of constant values close to contraction coefficient. Large aspect ratio has an effect ofsuppressing cavitation. The experimental results about disc valves illustrate that the valves with sharp edge at large open-ing are less affected by cavitation than that at small opening. Throttle with triangle notch has better anti-cavitation abilitythan that with square notch. 6Subclinical high altitude pulmonary edema: A clinical observation of 12 cases in Yushu显示文摘During the Yushu Earthquake on April 14,2010,a high incidence of acute high altitude illness was observed in the mountain rescuers,and 0.73 % of these patients suffered from high altitude pulmonary edema,of which 12 patients developed subclinical pulmonary edema and concomitantly contracted acute mountain sickness. Symptoms and signs were atypically high heart rate with high respiratory rate,striking cyanosis,and significantly low oxygen saturation,whereas no moist rates were heard on auscultation,and Chest X-ray showed peripheral with a patchy distribution of mottled infiltrations in one or both lung fields. We believe that subclinical high altitude pulmonary edema is an earliest stage of pulmonary edema at high altitude. 20Sorption and desorption of sex hormones in soil-and sediment-water systems:A review显示文摘Sex hormones are a group of potent endocrine disruptors that can be released into agricultural soils and sediment via wastewater discharge and manure fertilization.Sorption represents a critical determinant for the transport potential and risks of sex hormones in the environment.Therefore,this study reviewed the sorption and desorption mechanisms of sex hormones in soil-and sedimentwater systems,and summarized the effects of various factors on sorption and desorption processes.A total of 359 set of sorption data were collected from the literature.Sex hormones were mostly described by the linear model.The sorption magnitudes(logKoc)of estrogens,androgens,and progestins were in the range of 2.77–3.90,2.55–4.18,and 2.61–4.39,respectively.The average logKoc values of the sex hormones were significantly correlated with their logKow values(R^(2)=0.13,p<0.05),while the R^(2) values were much lower than those when fewer sex hormones were included for analysis.In addition,the Kd values of most sex hormones were significantly correlated with the OC%of soils and sediment(R^(2)=0.16–0.99,p<0.05),but were insignificantly correlated with the particle size distribution and surface area.These results indicated that hydrophobic partitioning interaction and other specific interactions are responsible for sex hormone uptake in soil-and sediment-water systems.The sorption of sex hormones in soil-and sediment-water systems can also be affected by other environmental variables,including pH,temperature,and ionic strength.Future studies should focus on the coupled leaching-sorption processes in manure-water-soil systems under field-scale conditions.Xiong Dai Xingjian Yang Bihai Xie Jiajia Jiao Xiuping Jiang Chengyu Chen Zhen Zhang Zhili He Hang Lin Weisong Chen Yongtao Li 2022Soil Ecology Letters2022,4,1:0
