1Single-cell transcriptomic analysis defines the interplay between tumor cells,viral infection,and the microenvironment in nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is an Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)-associated malignancy with a complex tumor ecosystem.How the interplay between tumor cells,EBV,and the microenvironment contributes to NPC progression and immune evasion remains unclear.Here we performed single-cell RNA sequencing on^104,000 cells from 19 EBV^+NPCs and 7 nonmalignant nasopharyngeal biopsies,simultaneously profiling the transcriptomes of malignant cells,EBV,stromal and immune cells.Overall,we identified global upregulation of interferon responses in the multicellular ecosystem of NPC.Notably,an epithelial–immune dual feature of malignant cells was discovered and associated with poor prognosis.Functional experiments revealed that tumor cells with this dual feature exhibited a higher capacity for tumorigenesis.Further characterization of the cellular components of the tumor microenvironment(TME)and their interactions with tumor cells revealed that the dual feature of tumor cells was positively correlated with the expression of co-inhibitory receptors on CD8^+tumor-infiltrating T cells.In addition,tumor cells with the dual feature were found to repress IFN-γproduction by T cells,demonstrating their capacity for immune suppression.Our results provide new insights into the multicellular ecosystem of NPC and offer important clinical implications.Shanzhao Jin Ruoyan Li Ming-Yuan Chen Chao Yu Lin-Quan Tang Yan-Min Liu Jiang-Ping Li Yi-Na Liu Yi-Ling Luo Yifan Zhao Yu Zhang Tian-Liang Xia Shang-Xin Liu Qi Liu Guan-Nan Wang Rui You Jing-Yun Peng Jiang Li Feng Han Jianwei Wang Qiu-Yan Chen Li Zhang Hai-Qiang Mai Benjamin E.Gewurz Bo Zhao Lawrence S.Young Qian Zhong Fan Bai Mu-Sheng Zeng 2020Cell Research2020,30,11:16
2Effect of Health Education Based on Integrative Therapy of Chinese and Western Medicine for Adult Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Randomized Controlled Study显示文摘Objective: To investigate the effects of health education based on integrative therapy of Chinese and Western medicine for type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) from the aspects of knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP), health-related quality of life(HRQo L), body mass index(BMI) and glucose control. Methods: Patients were individually randomized into intervention group(receiving integrative education, n=120) and control group(receiving usual education, n=120). The primary outcome was the changes in glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) levels after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months from baseline. Hierarchical linear models(HLMs) were used to assess within-group changes in outcomes over time and between-group differences in patterns of change. Secondary outcomes were KAP scores, HRQo L scores and BMI after 6 and 12 months, paired-sample t test was used to assess within-group changes in outcomes in 6 and 12 months, independent-sample t test was used to assess between-group differences in patterns of change. Results: HbA1c decreased statistically from baseline to 3 months, from 3 to 6 months, from 6 to 9 months and from 9 to 12 months in the intervention group(all P<0.01); and decreased significantly from baseline to 3 months, and from 3 to 6 months in the control group(P<0.01). There were significant between-group differences from baseline to 3 months(P=0.044), from 6 to 9 months(P<0.01) and from 9 to 12 months(P<0.01). Significant improvements in the intervention group along with significant between-group differences were found in KAP and HRQo L scores respectively(all P<0.05). The number in the intervention group of normal weight increased from 56 at baseline to 81(6 months), 94(12 months), the number in the control group were 63(baseline), 69(6 months), 70(12 months), the χ~2 of hierarchical analysis of BMI were 6.93(P=0.075), 10.31(P=0.016), 15.53(P<0.01), respectively. 3Engineering Mesoporous Structure in Amorphous Carbon Boosts Potassium Storage with High Initial Coulombic Efficiency显示文摘Amorphous carbon shows great potential as an anode material for high-performance potassium-ion batteries;however,its abundant defects or micropores generally capture K ions,thus resulting in high irreversible capacity with low initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and limited practical application.Herein,pore engineering via a facile self-etching strategy is applied to achieve mesoporous carbon(meso-C)nanowires with interconnected framework.Abundant and evenly distributed mesopores could provide short K^+ pathways for its rapid diffusion.Compared to microporous carbon with highly disordered structure,the meso-C with Zn-catalyzed short-range ordered structure enables more K^+to reversibly intercalate into the graphitic layers.Consequently,the mesoC shows an increased capacity by ~100 mAh g^-1 at 0.1 A g^-1,and the capacity retention is 70.7% after 1000 cycles at 1 A g^-1.Multiple in/ex situ characterizations reveal the reversible structural changes during the charging/discharging process.Particularly,benefiting from the mesoporous structure with reduced specific surface area by 31.5 times and less defects,the meso-C generates less irreversible capacity with high ICE up to 76.7%,one of the best reported values so far.This work provides a new perspective that mesopores engineering can effectively accelerate K^+ diffusion and enhance K^+ adsorption/intercalation storage.Ruiting Guo Xiong Liu Bo Wen Fang Liu Jiashen Meng Peijie Wu Jinsong Wu Qi Li Liqiang Mai 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,11:5
4Meta-analysis of ADH1B and ALDH2 polymorphisms and esophageal cancer risk in China显示文摘AIM: To evaluate whether alcohol dehydrogenase-1B (ADH1B) His47Arg and aldehyde dehydrogenase-2 (ALDH2) Glu487Lys polymorphism is involved in the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) risk in Chinese Han population. METHODS: Seven studies of ADH1B and ALDH2 genotypes in Chinese Han population in 1450 cases and 2459 controls were included for meta-analysis. Stratified analyses were carried out to determine the genealcohol and gene-gene interaction with ESCC risk. Potential sources of heterogeneity between studies were explored, and publication bias was also evaluated. RESULTS: Individuals with ADH1B arginine (Arg)/Arg genotype showed 3.95-fold increased ESCC risk in the recessive genetic model [Arg/Arg vs Arg/histidine (His) + His/His: odds ratio (OR) = 3.95, 95% confidence in- terval (CI): 2.76-5.67]. Signif icant association was found in the dominant model for ALDH2 lysine (Lys) allele [glutamate (Glu)/Lys + Lys/Lys vs Glu/Glu: OR = 2.00,95% CI: 1.54-2.61]. Compared with the non-alcoholics, Arg/Arg (OR = 25.20, 95% CI: 10.87-53.44) and Glu/ Lys + Lys/Lys (OR = 21.47, 95% CI: 6.44-71.59) were found to interact with alcohol drinking to increase the ESCC risk. ADH1B Arg+ and ALDH2 Lys+ had a higher risk for ESCC (OR = 7.09, 95% CI: 2.16-23.33). CONCLUSION: The genetic variations of ADH1B His47Arg and ALDH2 Glu487Lys are susceptible loci for ESCC in Chinese Han population and interact substantially with alcohol consumption. 5Vegetable and Fruit Consumption among Chinese Adults and Associated Factors: A Nationally Representative Study of 170,847 Adults显示文摘Objective This study examined vegetable and fruit(VF) consumption rate and its associated factors among Chinese adults.Methods Nationally representative data from the 2013 China Chronic Disease Surveillance survey were used. Dietary intake data, including VF consumption during the last 12 months, were collected. All analyses were weighted to obtain nationally representative estimates. Associations between VF consumption and other factors(e.g., meal frequency and physical activity) were examined through logistic regression analysis.Results The average fruit consumption was 102.3 g/day(95% CI: 97.0‐107.6) and the average vegetable consumption was 350.6 g/day(95% CI: 339.3‐361.8). Over half(53.2%, 95% CI: 50.9‐55.4) of Chinese adults met the VF consumption of 400 g/day recommended by the World Health Organization(WHO). Rural residents had a higher prevalence of low VF consumption rate than urban residents[49.20%(95% CI: 46.2%‐52.2%) vs. 44.0%(95% CI: 41.7%‐46.3%) P < 0.01]. Old age(OR = 1.01, 95% CI:1.00‐1.01), low educational level, low income, minority ethnicity(OR = 1.41, 95% CI: 1.15‐1.74),underweight(OR = 1.17, 95% CI: 1.03‐1.33), single marital status(OR = 1.20, 95% CI: 1.08‐1.33), low health literacy, irregular breakfast(OR = 1.20, 95% CI: 1.04‐1.38) or lunch(OR = 1.58, 95% CI: 1.26‐1.99)habits, and no leisure‐time physical activity were associated with low VF consumption.Conclusion Only half of Chinese adults met the VF consumption recommended by the WHO. Low socio‐economic status, irregular diet, and poor health literacy were likely associated with low VF consumption. 7Niobium oxyphosphate nanosheet assembled two-dimensional anode material for enhanced lithium storage显示文摘The development of high-capacity and high-rate anodes has become an attractive endeavor for achieving high energy and power densities in lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a new-type anode material of reduced graphene oxide(rGO) supported niobium oxyphosphate(NbOPO_4) nanosheet assembled twodimensional composite material(NbOPO_4/rGO) is firstly fabricated and presented as a promising highperformance LIB anode material.In-depth electrochemical analyses and in/ex situ characterizations reveal that the intercalation-conversion reaction takes place during the first discharge process,followed by the reversible redox process between amorphous NbPO_4 and Nb which contributes to the reversible capacity in the subsequent cycles.Meanwhile,the lithiation-generated Li3 PO_4,behaving as a good lithium ion conductor,facilitates ion transport.The rGO support further regulates the structural and electron/ion transfer properties of NbOPO_4/rGO composite compared to neat NbOPO_4, resulting in greatly enhanced electrochemical performances.As a result,NbOPO_4/rGO as a new-type LIB anode material achieves a high capacity of 502.5 mAh g^(-1) after 800 cycles and outstanding rate capability of 308.4 mAh g^(-1) at 8 A g^(-1).This work paves the way for the deep understanding and exploration of phosphate-ba sed high-efficiency anode materials for LIBs.Bo Wen Ruiting Guo Xiong Liu Wen Luo Qiu He Chaojiang Niu Jiashen Meng Qi Li Yan Zhao Liqiang Mai 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,2:1

9Cr-doped Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)@C enables high-capacity with V^(2+)/V^(5+)reaction and stable sodium storage显示文摘Due to its abundant sodium content and low cost,sodium-ion battery(SIB)has become an effective substitute and supplement for lithium-ion batteries,which has a broad development prospect in largescale energy storage systems.Na-super-ionic conductor(NASICON)structural materials have stable 3D skeleton structures and open Na+transport channels,which is a very promising SIB cathode material.But in the typical NASICON material Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP),the number of electrons involved in NVP per formula unit is less than 2 at the stable voltage window,which limits the further improvement of battery performance.In this work,we report another NASICON structured Na_(3)V_(4/3)Cr_(2/3)(PO_(4))_(3)@C(NVCP@C),which is obtained by Cr-doped NVP through spray drying.By taking full advantage of the voltage platforms of V^(5+/4+),V^(4+/3+),and V^(3+/2+)in the window of 1.5-4.4 V,NVCP@C delivered a high discharge capacity(175 mAh g^(-1))and durable cyclability(86%capacity retention for 2000 cycles).In-situ X-ray diffraction results demonstrate that the reversible structural evolution accompanies by solid-solution reaction and two-phase reaction mechanisms co-exist during charge/discharge processes.When coupled with Na^(+)preembedded hard carbon(HC),the assembled NVCP@C//HC full cell delivers a high capacity(105 mAh g^(-1))and long cycling performance(70%after 1000 cycles).This Cr-doped NVP method offers new insights into the design of high-energy NASICON-structured cathode materials.Bo Mai Boyu Xing Yunfan Yue Nianyao Cai Congcong Cai Sitian Lian Hao Fan Mengyu Yan Ting Zhu Ping Hu Xuewen Wang Liqiang Mai 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,34:0
10Flexible organic photovoltaic devices based on oligothiophene derivatives显示文摘For the purpose of developing flexible organic photovoltaic devices, we have fabricated two flexible devices using 5-formyl- 2,20:50,200:500,2000-quaterthiophene (4T-CHO), 5-formyl-2,20:50, 200:500,2000:5000,20000-quinquethiophene (5T-CHO) and 3,4,9,10-peryle- netertracarboxylic dianhydride (PTCDA). The PET-ITO/4T-CHO/PTCDA/Al device has an open circuit voltage (Voc) of 1.56 V, photoelectric conversion efficiency of 0.77%. The PET-ITO/5T-CHO/PTCDA/Al device has a Voc of 1.70 V, photoelectric conversion efficiency of 0.84%. The two flexible devices have high Voc (1.56 and 1.70 V). 11Photoexcitation-induced passivation of SnO_(2) thin film for efficient perovskite solar cells显示文摘A high-quality tin oxide electron transport layer(ETL)is a key common factor to achieve high-performance perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the conventional annealing technique to prepare high-quality ETLs by continuous heating under near-equilibrium conditions requires high temperatures and a long fabrication time.Alternatively,we present a non-equilibrium,photoexcitation-induced passivation technique that uses multiple ultrashort laser pulses.The ultrafast photoexcitation and following electron–electron and electron–phonon scattering processes induce ultrafast annealing to efficiently passivate surface and bulk defects,and improve the crystallinity of SnO_(2),resulting in suppressing the carrier recombination and facilitating the charge transport between the ETL and perovskite interface.By rapidly scanning the laser beam,the annealing time is reduced to several minutes,which is much more efficient compared with conventional thermal annealing.To demonstrate the university and scalability of this technique,typical antisolvent and antisolvent-free processed hybrid organic–inorganic metal halide PSCs have been fabricated and achieved the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 24.14%and 22.75%respectively,and a 12-square-centimeter module antisolvent-free processed perovskite solar module achieves a PCE of 20.26%,with significantly enhanced performance both in PCE and stability.This study establishes a new approach towards the commercialization of efficient low-temperature manufacturing of PSCs.Nianyao Chai Xiangyu Chen Zhongle Zeng Ruohan Yu Yunfan Yue Bo Mai Jinsong Wu Liqiang Mai Yi-Bing Cheng Xuewen Wang 2023National Science Review2023,10,11:0
