1Numerical Study on the Influence Mechanism of Inlet Distortion on the Stall Margin in a Transonic Axial Rotor显示文摘A numerical study is conducted to investigate the influence of inlet flow condition on tip leakage flow (TLF) and stall margin in a transonic axial rotor.A commercial software package FLUENT,is used in the simulation.The rotor investigated in this paper is ND_TAC rotor,which is the rotor of one-stage transonic compressor in the University of Notre Dame.Three varied inlet flow conditions are simulated.The inlet boundary condition with hub distortion provides higher axial velocity for the incoming flow near tip region than that for the clean inflow,while the incoming main flow possesses lower axial velocity near the tip region at tip distortion inlet boundary condition.Among the total pressure ratio curves for the three inlet flow conditions,it is found that the hub dis-torted inlet boundary condition improves the stall margin,while the tip distorted inlet boundary condition dete-riorates compressor stability.The axial location of interface between tip leakage flow (TLF) and incoming main flow (MF) in the tip gap and the axial momentum ratio of TLF to MF are further examined.It is demonstrated that the axial momentum balance is the mechanism for interface movement.The hub distorted inflow could de-crease the axial momentum ratio,suppress the movement of the interface between TLF and MF towards blade leading edge plane and thus enhance compressor stability.Scott C.Morris 2012Journal of Thermal Science2012,21,3:3

3Microbiologically influenced corrosion of cable bolts in underground coal mines:The effect of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans显示文摘Reports on corrosion failure of cable bolts,used in mining and civil industries,have been increasing in the past two decades.The previous studies found that pitting corrosion on the surface of a cable bolt can initiate premature failure of the bolt.In this study,the role of Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans(A.ferrooxidans)bacterium in the occurrence of pitting corrosion in cable bolts was studied.Stressed coupons,made from the wires of cable bolts,were immersed in testing bottles containing groundwater collected from an underground coal mine and a mixture of A.ferrooxidans and geomaterials.It was observed that A.ferrooxidans caused pitting corrosion on the surface of cable bolts in the near-neutral environment.The presence of geomaterials slightly affected the p H of the environment;however,it did not have any significant influence on the corrosion activity of A.ferrooxidans.This study suggests that the common bacterium A.ferrooxidans found in many underground environments can be a threat to cable bolts'integrity by creating initiation points for other catastrophic failures such as stress corrosion cracking.H.Chen O.Kimyon H.Lamei Ramandi M.Manefield A.H.Kaksonen C.Morris A.Crosky S.Saydam 2021International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,3:1
4跨声轴流压气机转子尾迹的总压平均方法显示文摘对一台跨声轴流压气机转子的尾迹流场进行了数值模拟研究和总压实验测量,结合理论分析方法,研究了面积平均和质量平均这两种常用的总压平均方法在跨声轴流压气机转子尾迹测量中的联系与差异.结果表明:在靠近转子尾缘的测量截面,由于转子尾迹流场中存在总压高而轴向速度低的区域,导致面积平均总压大于质量平均总压;而随着尾迹与主流在下游逐渐掺混均匀,面积平均总压又小于质量平均总压.两种总压平均方法的这一规律性关联可以在研究压气机转子尾迹特征尤其是进行数值计算和实验测量结果对比分析时提供一些有价值的参考.王偲臣 林峰 Scott C.Morris Joshua Cameron 聂超群 2013航空动力学报2013,28,12:1
