1Prediction of Deformation and Footprint of High-speed Rotating Radial Tires显示文摘In this research,the tire deformations due to rotation are divided into three parts:tread,belt and carcass.Tread deformation is obtained by using a rotating hollow cylinder model,belt expansion is calculated according to the laminated composite shell theory,and a formula of dynamic equilibrium profile is built to investigate carcass deformation.Moreover,a simple method is used to predict the footprint changes caused by tire deformation.Results show that a large deformation is occurring at tire shoulder,a smaller one at tread centre,and the shoulder deformations are mostly caused by carcass.Length of footprint side edges increase with tire rolling speed increasing.The predicted tread,belt,carcass deformations and footprint changes are in good agreement with finite element analysis results.The proposed method and the results will offer a helpful guidance to tire and vehicle engineers.CUI Zhibo CHAI Delong LYU Jiafeng HU Kai ZHANG Chunsheng HOU Dandan WANG Youshan 2020橡胶工业2020,67,5:2
2Experimental investigation of a gliding discharge plasma jet igniter显示文摘Relight of jet engines at high altitude is difficult due to the relatively low pressure and temperature of inlet air.The penetration of initial flame kernel affects the ignition probability in the turbine engine combustor greatly.In order to achieve successful ignition at high altitude,a deeper penetration of initial flame kernel should be generated.In this study,a Gliding Arc Plasma Jet Igniter(GAPJI)is designed to induce initial flame kernel with deeper penetration to achieve successful ignition at high altitude.The ignition performance of the GAPJI was demonstrated in a model combustor.It was found that GAPJI can generate plasma with deeper penetration up to 30.5 mm than spark igniter with 22.1 mm.The discharge power of GAPJI was positively correlated with flow rate of the carrier gas,approaching 200 W in average.Ignition experiments show that GAPJI has the advantage of extending the lean ignition limit.With GAPJI,the lean ignition limit of the combustor is 0.02 at 0 km,which is 55.6%less than that with spark igniter(0.045).The evolution of flame morphology was observed to explore the development of the flame kernel.It is shown that the advantage of a high penetration and continuous releasing energy can accelerate the ignition process and enhance combustion.Min JIA Zhibo ZHANG Wei CUI Huimin SONG Zhangkai HUANG 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,6:1
3Prediction of Restriction Width of Carcass by Belts for Radial Tires :Theory, Experiment and Simulation显示文摘The restriction width of carcass by the belts( RWCB) as an important parameter of radial tire design has been neglected for a long time. In order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of tire profile design,the calculating method of RWCB is proposed. The equilibrium profile is calculated by geometric model and variational approach,based on it,the predicted model of RWCB is developed for tire design. Finally,four different designs of 12R22.5 tires are investigated by experiment and finite element method,which is used to validate the accuracy of the theoretical method. 4Synthesis,Style Editing,and Animation of 3D Cartoon Face显示文摘As a popular kind of stylized face,cartoon faces have rich application scenarios.It is challenging to create personalized 3D cartoon faces directly from 2D real photos.Besides,in order to adapt to more application scenarios,automatic style editing,and animation of cartoon faces is also a crucial problem that is urgently needed to be solved in the industry,but has not yet had a perfect solution.To solve this problem,we first propose“3D face cartoonizer”,which can generate high-quality 3D cartoon faces with texture when fed into 2D facial images.We contribute the first 3D cartoon face hybrid dataset and a new training strategy which first pretrains our network with low-quality triplets in a reconstruction-then-generation manner,and then finetunes it with high-quality triplets in an adversarial manner to fully leverage the hybrid dataset.Besides,we implement style editing for 3D cartoon faces based on k-means,which can be easily achieved without retrain the neural network.In addition,we propose a new cartoon faces'blendshape generation method,and based on this,realize the expression animation of 3D cartoon faces,enabling more practical applications.Our dataset and code will be released for future research.Ming Guo Feng Xu Shunfei Wang Zhibo Wang Ming Lu Xiufen Cui Xiao Ling 2024Tsinghua Science and Technology2024,29,2:0
5FGW1, a protein containing DUF630 and DUF632 domains, regulates grain size and filling in Oryza sativa L.显示文摘Grain filling influences grain size and quality in cereal crops. The molecular mechanisms that regulate grain endosperm development remain elusive. In this study, we characterized a filling-defective and grain width mutant, fgw1, whose mutation increased rice seed width mainly via cell division and expansion in grains. Sucrose contents were higher but starch contents lower in the fgw1 mutant during the grainfilling stage, resulting in inferior endosperm of opaque, white appearance with loosely packed starch granules. Map-based cloning revealed that FGW1 encoded a protein containing DUF630/DUF632domains, localized in the plasma membrane with preferential expression in the panicle. RNA interference in FGW1 resulted in increased grain width and weight, whereas overexpression of FGW1 led to slightly narrower kernels and better grain filling. In a yeast two-hybrid assay, FGW1 interacted directly with the 14–3–3 protein GF14f, bimolecular fluorescence complementation verified that the site of interaction was the membrane, and the mutated FGW1 protein failed to interact with GF14f. The expression of GF14f was down-regulated in fgw1, and the activities of AGPase, StSase, and SuSase in the endosperm of fgw1increased similarly to those of a reported GF14f-RNAi. Transcriptome analysis indicated that FGW1 also regulates cellular processes and carbohydrate metabolism. 6New Equations for Describing Contact Area between Tire and Ground显示文摘New equations are proposed to describe the shapes and sizes of the contact areas between tire and ground(the contact areas)under the conditions of static load,slip,camber,and rolling.The equations are super ellipse and trigonometric function with four parameters.Results indicate that the contact areas under the conditions of static load,slip,camber can be well described by super ellipse,in the most complicated case,fourteen parameters are used.The rolling contact area can be reconstructed by the trigonometric function completely.Symmetrical and asymmetrical shapes can both be described perfectly.The suggested curves will make calculate size of the areas easily.The described shapes and sizes are in good agreement with the measured,the maximum deviation is only 2.88%.This work will provide an instrument for understanding the contact area and be helpful for analyzing tire and road.CUI Zhibo SU Zhaoqian HOU Dandan ZHANG Chunsheng WANG Youshan LIU Yuyan WU Jian 2020橡胶工业2020,67,9:0
