| 1 | Drug nanoclusters formed in confined nano-cages of CD-MOF: dramatic enhancement of solubility and bioavailability of azilsartan显示文摘Tremendous efforts have been devoted to the enhancement of drug solubility using nanotechnologies, but few of them are capable to produce drug particles with sizes less than a few nanometers. This challenge has been addressed here by using biocompatible versatile γ-cyclodextrin(γ-CD) metal-organic framework(CD-MOF) large molecular cages in which azilsartan(AZL) was successfully confined producing clusters in the nanometer range. This strategy allowed to improve the bioavailability of AZL in Sprague–Dawley rats by 9.7-fold after loading into CD-MOF. The apparent solubility of AZL/CD-MOF was enhanced by 340-fold when compared to the pure drug. Based on molecular modeling, a dual molecular mechanism of nanoclusterization and complexation of AZL inside the CD-MOF cages was proposed, which was confirmed by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS) and synchrotron radiation-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(SR-FTIR) techniques. In a typical cage-like unit of CD-MOF, three molecules of AZL were included by the γ-CD pairs, whilst other three AZL molecules formed a nanocluster inside the 1.7 nm sized cavity surrounded by six γ-CDs. | 4 | On-line/Off-line Threshold Proxy Re-Signatures显示文摘To improve the performance of threshold proxy re-signatures, the notion of on-line/off-line threshold proxy re-signatures is introduced. The bulk of re-signature computation can be done in the off-line phase before the message arrives. The results of this pre-computation are saved and then utilized in the on-line phase once a message to be re-signed is known. Based on any threshold proxy re-signature scheme and a threshold version of chameleon hash function, we present a generic on-line/off-line threshold proxy re-signature scheme that can convert any existing secure threshold proxy re-signature scheme into an on-line/off-line one. The on-line phase of our scheme is efficient: computing a re-signature share requires one round of communication, two modular additions and one modular multiplication. | 5 | Sodium dodecyl sulfate/β-cyclodextrin vesicles embedded in chitosan gel for insulin delivery with p H-selective release显示文摘In an answer to the challenge of enzymatic instability and low oral bioavailability of proteins/peptides, a new type of drug-delivery vesicle has been developed. The preparation, based on sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) and β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) embedded in chitosan gel, was used to successfully deliver the model drug-insulin. The self-assembled SDS/β-CD vesicles were prepared and characterized by particle size, zeta potential, appearance, microscopic morphology and entrapment efficiency. In addition, both the interaction of insulin with vesicles and the stability of insulin loaded in vesicles in the presence of pepsin were investigated.The vesicles were crosslinked into thermo-sensitive chitosan/β-glycerol phosphate solution for an in-situ gel to enhance the dilution stability. The in vitro release characteristics of insulin from gels in media at different p H values were investigated. The insulin loaded vesicles–chitosan hydrogel(IVG) improved the dilution stability of the vesicles and provided p H-selective sustained release compared with insulin solution–chitosan hydrogel(ISG). In vitro, IVG exhibited slow release in acidic solution and relatively quick release in neutral solutions to provide drug efficacy. In simulated digestive fluid, IVG showed better sustained release and insulin protection properties compared with ISG. | 6 | Principal Component and Cluster Analysis of Quality Traits in Ningxia Rice显示文摘Six rice quality traits of 47 rice varieties approved in Ningxia in past 25 years were analyzed. The results showed that there was complicated correlation between rice quality traits. Through the principal component analysis using 6 × 6 order correlation matrix,five principal components with different meanings were obtained. The accumulative contribution rate of the first five characteristic roots was as high as 96. 04%. Furthermore,the five principal components could cluster the 47 varieties into seven groups. The first group performed the best in quality traits,followed by the second group and the third group taking the second place,and then the fourth,seventh,fifth and sixth groups,sequentially. The clustering pedigree chart showed that only the varieties among the 47 tested varieties,which performed better in chalky kernel percentage and chalkiness degree,could become dominant varieties with extension value. | 7 | High Temperature Decomposition Behavior of CaZrO3 Coating on Graphite for TiNi Alloy Melting显示文摘In order to restrain the carbon pollution, the feasibility of CaZrO3 coating was studied. The precursor powder was synthesized via solid-state reaction using metal calcium as a raw material. The protective coating on graphite was prepared by impregnation sintering method, and the effects of slurry viscosity, graphite density and coating thickness for coating were compared. The phase composition and microstructure of coatings were characterized, and the thermodynamic process was analyzed when the coating composition changed from CaZrO3 to ZrC. | 8 | NATURAL HISTORY OBSERVATION FOR ESOPHAGEAL AND CARDIA PRECURSORS BY REPETITIVE ENDOSCOPIC SCREENING OF 301 SUBJECTS IN SHEXIAN显示文摘OBJECTIVE To investigate the natural history of fast developing esopha- geal and cardia precursors. METHODS Repetitive endoscopic screenings were performed among 40-69-year-olds in the high-incidence areas for esophageal cancer in Shexian. RESULTS The initial diagnosis and the lag-time for 7 subsequently identified severe dysplasia(SD)subjects were as follows:in one subject 13 months after a baseline diagnosis of normal epithelium,in another subject 7 months after a baseline diagnosis of base cell hyperplasia(BCH),in four subjects 3,4,4,and 10.5 months after baseline diagnosis of mild dysplasia (mD),and in one subject 12.5 months after a baseline diagnosis of moder- ate dysplasia(MD).The initial diagnosis and the lag-time for 6 subsequently identified carcinomas in situ or intramucosal carcinoma cases were:in one case 48 months after a baseline diagnosis of mD,in 2 cases 4 and 13 months after baseline diagnoses of MD,and in the other 3 cases 3.5,9,and 17.5 months after baseline diagnoses of SD.The initial diagnosis and lag- time for 3 subsequently identified invasive cancer cases were:in one case 50 months after a baseline diagnosis of MD,in 2 cases 14 and 19 months after baseline diagnoses of SD.In addition,during a 4-year-fol ow-up of 18 subjects after endoscopic mucosa resection,9 of them were found to have developed precursors again at other sites,and also additional findings were obtained for 11 of the 16 dysplasia cases by repetitive biopsy in less than 2 months after the initial endoscopy. | 11 | A Linear Homomorphic Proxy Signature Scheme Based on Blockchain for Internet of Things显示文摘The mushroom growth of IoT has been accompanied by the generation of massive amounts of data.Subject to the limited storage and computing capabilities ofmost IoT devices,a growing number of institutions and organizations outsource their data computing tasks to cloud servers to obtain efficient and accurate computation while avoiding the cost of local data computing.One of the most important challenges facing outsourcing computing is how to ensure the correctness of computation results.Linearly homomorphic proxy signature(LHPS)is a desirable solution to ensure the reliability of outsourcing computing in the case of authorized signing right.Blockchain has the characteristics of tamper-proof and traceability,and is a new technology to solve data security.However,as far as we know,constructions of LHPS have been few and far between.In addition,the existing LHPS scheme does not focus on homomorphic unforgeability and does not use blockchain technology.Herein,we improve the security model of the LHPS scheme,and the usual existential forgery and homomorphic existential forgery of two types of adversaries are considered.Under the new model,we present a blockchain-based LHPS scheme.The security analysis shows that under the adaptive chosen message attack,the unforgeability of the proposed scheme can be reduced to the CDH hard assumption,while achieving the usual and homomorphic existential unforgeability.Moreover,comparedwith the previous LHPS scheme,the performance analysis shows that our scheme has the same key size and comparable computational overhead,but has higher security. | Caifen Wang Bin Wu | 2023 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,8: | 0 |
| 12 | Travel-related Importation and Exportation Risks of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant in 367 Prefectures(Cities)-China,2022显示文摘Introduction:Minimizing the importation and exportation risks of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a primary concern for sustaining the“Dynamic COVID-zero”strategy in China.Risk estimation is essential for cities to conduct before relaxing border control measures.Methods:Informed by the daily number of passengers traveling between 367 prefectures(cities)in China,this study used a stochastic metapopulation model parameterized with COVID-19 epidemic characteristics to estimate the importation and exportation risks.Results:Under the transmission scenario(R0=5.49),this study estimated the cumulative case incidence of Changchun City,Jilin Province as 3,233(95%confidence interval:1,480,4,986)before a lockdown on March 14,2022,which is close to the 3,168 cases reported in real life by March 16,2022.In a total of 367 prefectures(cities),127(35%)had high exportation risks according to the simulation and could transmit the disease to 50%of all other regions within a period from 17 to 94 days.The average time until a new infection arrives in a location in 1 of the 367 prefectures(cities)ranged from 26 to 101 days.Conclusions:Estimating COVID-19 importation and exportation risks is necessary for preparedness,prevention,and control measures of COVID-19—especially when new variants emerge. | Yuan Bai Mingda Xu Caifen Liu Mingwang Shen Lin Wang Linwei Tian Suoyi Tan Lei Zhang Petter Holme Xin Lu Eric H.Y.Lau Benjamin J.Cowling Zhanwei Du | 2022 | China CDC weekly2022,4,40: | 0 |
