1Toward Wisdom-Evolutionary and Primitive-Concise 6G:A New Paradigm of Semantic Communication Networks显示文摘The sixth generation(6G)mobile networks will reshape the world by offering instant,efficient,and intelligent hyper-connectivity,as envisioned by the previously proposed Ubiquitous-X 6G networks.Such hyper-massive and global connectivity will introduce tremendous challenges into the operation and management of 6G networks,calling for revolutionary theories and technological innovations.To this end,we propose a new route to boost network capabilities toward a wisdom-evolutionary and primitive-concise network(WePCN)vision for the Ubiquitous-X 6G network.In particular,we aim to concretize the evolution path toward the WePCN by first conceiving a new semantic representation framework,namely semantic base,and then establishing an intelligent and efficient semantic communication(IE-SC)network architecture.In the IE-SC architecture,a semantic intelligence plane is employed to interconnect the semantic-empowered physical-bearing layer,network protocol layer,and application-intent layer via semantic information flows.The proposed architecture integrates artificial intelligence and network technologies to enable intelligent interactions among various communication objects in 6G.It features a lower bandwidth requirement,less redundancy,and more accurate intent identification.We also present a brief review of recent advances in semantic communications and highlight potential use cases,complemented by a range of open challenges for 6G.Ping Zhang Wenjun Xu Hui Gao Kai Niu Xiaodong Xu Xiaoqi Qin Caixia Yuan Zhijin Qin Haitao Zhao Jibo Wei Fangwei Zhang 2022Engineering2022,8,1:28
2Overview of 5G security technology显示文摘The 5 th-generation mobile communication system(5 G) has higher security requirements than previous systems. Accordingly, international standard organizations, operators, and equipment manufacturers are focusing extensively on 5 G security technology. This paper analyzes the security requirements of 5 G business applications, network architecture, the air interface, and user privacy. The development trends of5 G security architecture are summarized, with a focus on endogenous defense architecture, which represents a new trend in 5 G security development. 3Laser machining of transparent brittle materials: from machining strategies to applications显示文摘Transparent brittle materials such as glass and sapphire are widely concerned and applied in consumer electronics, optoelectronic devices, etc. due to their excellent physical and chemical stability and good transparency. Growing research attention has been paid to developing novel methods for high-precision and high-quality machining of transparent brittle materials in the past few decades. Among the various techniques, laser machining has been proved to be an effective and flexible way to process all kinds of transparent brittle materials. In this review, a series of laser machining methods, e.g. laser full cutting, laser scribing, laser stealth dicing, laser filament, laser induced backside dry etching (LIBDE), and laser induced backside wet etching (LIBWE) are summarized. Additionally, applications of these techniques in micromachining, drilling and cutting, and patterning are introduced in detail. 4Kindlin-2 expression in adult tissues correlates with their embryonic origins显示文摘Kindlin-2 functions in the maintenance of homeostasis and in human diseases.This study investigated the interrelationship between Kindlin-2 expression in tissues and the corresponding germ layers from which these tissues originated.Kindlin-2 expression was examined in normal adult human organs and human cancer tissues by immunohistochemical analyses.Analysis of Kindlin-2 mRNA levels in adult human organs in the Oncomine dataset revealed Kindlin-2 is highly expressed in mesoderm-derived organs.However,Kindlin-2 was negative or weakly expressed in endoderm/ectoderm-derived organs.Interestingly,the abnormal expression of Kindlin-2 was observed in a variety of human cancers.In agreement with its expression profile in humans,Kindlin-2 was also highly expressed in mesoderm-derived organs in mouse embryos with the exception of strong Kindlin-2 expression in ectoderm-derived spinal cord and ganglia,tissues that are highly mobile during embryonic development.Importantly,we demonstrated the expression level of Kindlin-2 in adult organs correlated with their embryonic dermal origins and deregulation of Kindlin-2 in tissues is associated with tumor progression.This finding will help us understand the dual role of Kindlin-2 in the regulation of tumor progression and embryonic development.ZHAN Jun YANG Mei CHI XiaoChun ZHANG Jing PEI XueLian REN CaiXia GUO YongQing LIU Wei ZHANG HongQuan 2014Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,7:8
5Ruminal fermentation and microbial community differently influenced by four typical subtropical forages in vitro显示文摘The present study evaluated the effects of 4 typical subtropical forages on ruminal microbial community composition to formulate a better diet for buffalo.Corn straw silage,elephant grass,cassava residues and sugarcane tail silage were used as substrates for in vitro fermentation.Eight replicates were set up for every substrate,and fermentation was carried out in a 100-m L glass syringe,using buffalo rumen inoculum.Every replicate was anaerobically dispensed with 10 m L of rumen inoculum,20 m L of Mc Dougall's buffer and 200 mg of dried substrate,and placed in a water bath at 39C.Gas production was recorded at 0,2,6,12,24,36,48 and 72 h of incubation.After 24 h,fermentation was ceased for 4 replicates and samples were collected.Volatile fatty acids(VFA) concentrations were measured using gas chromatography.Microbial populations were quantified using quantitative real-time PCR(q RT-PCR),and microbial community was analyzed using high throughput sequencing technology.The results showed,cassava residues as substrate had the highest gas production,acetate,propionate and total VFA concentrations(P < 0.05),and corn straw silage had the lowest acetate:propionate ratio(P < 0.05).The lowest numbers of fungi,Ruminococcus albus and Fibrobacter succinogenes,and the highest number of protozoa were observed with cassava residues(P < 0.05).The least abundances of bacterial phyla Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes and genus Prevotella,and substantially higher abundance of phylum proteobacteria(56%) and genus Succinivibrio(52%) were observed with cassava residues.The most abundances of Methanobrevibacter gottschalkii and Entodinium were observed with cassava residues.Spearman's correlations analysis showed,Succinivibrio had strong positive correlations with propionate,butyrate,Metadinium and M.gottschalkii,indicating fermentation products were related to microbial community.In conclusion,incubation with cassava residues resulted in lower number of fiber degrading microbes but higher protozoal population because of its low fiber contents.The microbial community was highly altered by in vitro incubation with cassava residues,whereas remained similar for the other 3 high fiber containing substrates.Muhammad W.Iqbal Qin Zhang Yingbai Yang Caixia Zou Lili Li Xin Liang Shengju Wei Bo Lin 2018Animal Nutrition2018,,1:6
6Myofiber necroptosis promotes muscle stem cell proliferation via releasing Tenascin-C during regeneration显示文摘Necroptosis,a form of programmed cell death,is characterized by the loss of membrane integrity and release of intracellular contents,the execution of which depends on the membrane-disrupting activity of the Mixed Lineage Kinase Domain-Like protein(MLKL)upon its phosphorylation.Here we found myofibers committed MLKL-dependent necroptosis after muscle injury.Either pharmacological inhibition of the necroptosis upstream kinase Receptor Interacting Protein Kinases 1(RIPK1)or genetic ablation of MLKL expression in myofibers led to significant muscle regeneration defects.By releasing factors into the muscle stem cell(MuSC)microenvironment,necroptotic myofibers facilitated muscle regeneration.Tenascin-C(TNC),released by necroptotic myofibers,was found to be critical for MuSC proliferation.The temporary expression of TNC in myofibers is tightly controlled by necroptosis;the extracellular release of TNC depends on necroptotic membrane rupture.TNC directly activated EGF receptor(EGFR)signaling pathway in MuSCs through its N-terminus assembly domain together with the EGF-like domain.These findings indicate that necroptosis plays a key role in promoting MuSC proliferation to facilitate muscle regeneration.Shen'ao Zhou Wei Zhang Gaihong Cai Yingzhe Ding Caixia Wei Sheng Li Yu Yang Jie Qin Dan Liu Hao Zhang Xiexiang Shao Jianhua Wang Hongye Wang Wenjun Yang Huating Wang She Chen Ping Hu Liming Sun 2020Cell Research2020,30,12:4
7QTL mapping for grain number per spikelet in wheat using a high-density genetic map显示文摘Grain number per spikelet (GNS) is a key determinant of grain yield in wheat.A recombinant inbred line population comprising 300 lines was developed from a cross between a high GNS variety H461 and Chinese Spring from which the reference genome assembly of bread wheat was obtained.Both parents and the recombinant inbred lines were genotyped using the wheat 55K single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) array.A high-density genetic map containing 21,197 SNPs was obtained.These markers covered each of the 21 chromosomes with a total linkage distance of 3792.71 c M.Locations of these markers in this linkage map were highly consistent with their physical locations in the genome assembly of Chinese Spring.The two parents and the whole RIL population were assessed for GNS in two consecutive years at two different locations.Based on multi-environment phenotype data and best liner unbiased prediction values,three quantitative trait loci (QTL) for GNS were identified.One of them located on chromosomes 2B and the other two on 2D.Phenotypic variation explained by these loci varied from 3.07%to26.57%.One of these QTL,QGns.sicau-2D-2,was identified in each of all trials conducted.Based on the best linear unbiased prediction values,this locus explained 19.59%–26.57%of phenotypic variation.A KASP(Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR) marker closely linked with this locus was generated and used to validate the effects of this locus in three different genetic backgrounds.The identified QTL and the KASP marker developed for it will be highly valuable in fine-mapping the locus and in exploiting it for markerassisted selection in wheat breeding programs.Yu Lin Xiaojun Jiang Haiyan Hu Kunyu Zhou Qing Wang Shifan Yu Xilan Yang Zhiqiang Wang Fangkun Wu Shihang Liu Caixia Li Mei Deng Jian Ma Guangdeng Chen Yuming Wei Youliang Zheng Yaxi Liu 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4
8Distinct immune signatures discriminate between asymptomatic and presymptomatic SARS-CoV-2^(pos)subjects显示文摘Increasing numbers of SARS-CoV-2-positive(SARS-CoV-2^(pos))subjects are detected at silent SARS-CoV-2 infection stage(SSIS).Yet,SSIS represents a poorly examined time-window wherein unknown immunity patterns may contribute to the fate determination towards persistently asymptomatic or overt disease.Here,we retrieved blood samples from 19 asymptomatic and 12 presymptomatic SARS-COV-2^(pos)subjects,47 age/gender-matched patients with mild or moderate COVID-19 and 27 normal subjects,and interrogated them with combined assays of 44-plex CyTOF,RNA-seq and Olink.Notably,both asymptomatic and presymptomatic subjects exhibited numerous readily detectable immunological alterations,while certain parameters including more severely decreased frequencies of CD107a^(low)classical monocytes,intermediate monocytes,non-classical monocytes and CD62L^(hi)CD8^(+)Tnaive cells,reduced plasma STC1 level but an increased frequency of CD4^(+)NKT cells combined to distinguish the latter.Intercorrelation analyses revealed a particular presymptomatic immunotype mainly manifesting as monocytic overactivation and differentiation blockage,a likely lymphocyte exhaustion and immunosuppression,yielding mechanistic insights into SSIS fate determination,which could potentially improve 5ARS-CoV-2 management.Shanhe Yu Caixia Di Shijun Chen Mingquan Guo Jiayang Yan Zhaoqin Zhu Li Liu Ruixue Feng Yinyin Xie Ruihong Zhang Juan Chen Mengxi Wang Dong Wei Hai Fang Tong Yin Jinyan Huang Saijuan Chen Hongzhou Lu Jiang Zhu Jieming Qu 2021Cell Research2021,31,11:4
9Synthesis of high-purity silver nanorods with tunable plasmonic properties and sensor behavior显示文摘Through anisotropic Ag overgrowth on the surface of Au nanobipyramids(Au NBPs), high-purity and sizecontrolled Ag nanorods(Au/Ag NRs) are obtained by a simplified purification process. The diameters of the Au/Ag NRs are determined by the size of the as-prepared Au NBPs, and the lengths of the Au/Ag NRs are tunable using different amounts of Ag precursor in the growth solution. Surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) studies using Rhodamine-6G(R6G) as a test molecule indicate that the Au/Ag NRs have excellent sensing potential. 10Hydroxyapatite Bioceramic Coatings Prepared by Hydrothermal-electrochemical Deposition Method显示文摘The hydroxyapatite(HA) ceramic coating was successfully prepared on Ti6Al4V alloy by the hydrothermal-electrochemical deposition method with constant voltage model. The phases of deposits were analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The releationship between crystallinity and depositing temperature was discussed. The microstructures of hydroxyapatite coating were observed by scanning electron microscope. The experimental results showed that the phases, crystallinity and morphologies of deposits were influenced by depositing temperature(100 ℃, 120 ℃, 140 ℃, 160 ℃, 180 ℃ and 200 ℃, respectively). The special hydrothermal environment can lower the crystallization temperature of HA. The crystallinity of HA increases firstly and then decreases with the increase of temperature. There is little hydroxyapatite deposited on the Ti6Al4V surface when the depositing temperature is 100 ℃. The HA deposition increases with the increase of the depositing temperature. 11Identification of novel Lynch syndrome mutations in Chinese patients with endometriod endometrial cancer显示文摘Objective:Lynch syndrome(LS)predisposes patients to early onset endometrioid endometrial cancer(EEC).However,little is known about LS-related EEC in the Chinese population.The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of LS and to identify the specific variants of LS in Chinese patients with EEC.Methods:We applied universal immunohistochemistry screening to detect the expression of mismatch repair(MMR)proteins,which was followed by MLH1 methylation analysis to identify suspected LS cases,next-generation sequencing(NGS)to confirm LS,and microsatellite instability(MSI)analysis to verify LS.Results:We collected 211 samples with EEC.Twenty-seven(27/211,12.8%)EEC cases had a loss of MMR protein expression.After MLH1 methylation analysis,16 EEC cases were suggested to be associated with LS.Finally,through NGS and MSI analysis,we determined that 10 EEC(10/209,4.78%)cases were associated with LS.Among those cases,3 unreported mutations(1 frameshift and 2 nonsense)were identified.M SH6 c.597_597delC,found in 4 patients,is likely to be a founder mutation in China.Conclusions:We demonstrated the feasibility of a process for LS screening in Chinese patients with EEC,by using universal immunohistochemistry screening followed by MLH1 methylation analysis and confirmation through NGS and MSI analysis.The novel mutations identified in this study expand knowledge of LS.Caixia Ren Yan Liu Yuxiang Wang Yan Tang Yawei Wei Congrong Liu Hongquan Zhang 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,2:3
12Osteoporosis-decreased extracellular matrix stiffness impairs connexin 43-mediated gap junction intercellular communication in osteocytes显示文摘Osteocytes are the main sensitive and responsive cells for mechanical stimuli in bone.The connexin family enables them to communicate with each other via forming functional gap junctions.However,how osteoporosis-impaired extracellular mechanical property modulates gap junction intercellular communication in osteocytes remains elusive.In this study,we established an ovariectomy(OVX)-induced osteoporosis mouse model in vivo and a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)-based cell culture substrate model in vitro to explore the influence of extracellular matrix(ECM)stiffness on cell-to-cell communication in osteocytes.Firstly,we established an OVX-induced osteoporosis mouse model by characterizing the changes in radiography,morphology and histochemistry of femurs.Our results showed that osteoporosis decreased the bone matrix stiffness together with the changes including the loss of osteocytes and the decrease of protein markers.Meanwhile,the dendritic process interconnection and channel-forming protein,Cx43,were reduced in osteoporosis mice.Next we mimicked ECM stiffness changes in vitro by using PDMS substrates at ratios 1:5 for normal stiffness and 1:45 for osteoporosis stiffness.Our results showed that the decreased ECM stiffness reduced the number of dendritic processes in a single cell and gap junctions between adjacent osteocytes.We further detected the decreased expression of Cx43,in the substrate with decreased stiffness.Finally,we found that gap junction-based intercellular communication was reduced in living osteocytes in the substrate with decreased stiffness.This study demonstrates the correlation between ECM mechanical property and cell-to-cell communication in osteocytes and might pave the way for further exploration of osteoporosis in terms of biomechanics.Demao Zhang Xin Li Caixia Pi Linyi Cai Yang Liu Wei Du Wenbin Yang Jing Xie 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,5:3
13Atmospheric heterogeneous reaction of acetone:Adsorption and desorption kinetics and mechanisms on SiO_2 particles显示文摘Acetone plays an important role in photooxidation processes in the atmosphere. Up to date, little is known regarding the heterogeneous fate of acetone. In this study, the adsorption and desorption processes of acetone on SiO2 particles, which are the major constituent of mineral dust in the atmos-phere, have been investigated for the first time under the simulated atmospheric conditions, using in situ transmission Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. It is found that acetone molecules are ad-sorbed on the surfaces of SiO2 particles by van der Waals forces and hydrogen bonding forces in a nonreactive and reversible state. The rates of initial adsorption and initial desorption, initial uptake coefficients and adsorption concentrations at equilibrium have been determined at different relative humidity. The presence of water vapor cannot result in the formation of new substances, but can de-crease the adsorption ability by consuming or overlapping the isolated OH groups on the surfaces of SiO2 particles. In the desorption process, a considerable amount of acetone molecules will remain on SiO2 particles in dry air, whereas acetone molecules are almost completely desorbed at a high relative humidity.
