| 9 | Assessing environmental impact:Micro-energy network optimization in a Chinese industrial park显示文摘Micro-energy systems contribute significantly to environmental improvement by reducing dependence on power grids through the utilization of multiple renewable energy sources.This study quantified the environmental impact of a micro-energy network system in an industrial park through a life cycle assessment using the operation of the micro-energy network over a year as the functional unit and“cradle-to-gate”as the system boundary.Based on the baseline scenario,a natural gas generator set was added to replace central heating,and the light pipes were expanded to constitute the optimized scenario.The results showed that the key impact categories for both scenarios were global warming,fine particulate matter formation,human carcinogenic toxicity,and human non-carcinogenic toxicity.The overall environmental impact of the optimized scenario was reduced by 68%compared to the baseline scenario.A sensitivity analysis of the key factors showed that electricity from the power grid was the key impact factor in both scenarios,followed by central heating and natural gas.Therefore,to reduce the environmental impact of network systems,it is necessary to further optimize the grid power structure.The research approach can be used to optimize micro-energy networks and evaluate the environmental impact of different energy systems. | Guanzhun Cao Chuan Feng Tong Li Hongjuan Zhang Xiaoyao Guo Wen Li Yanshuang Jia Leping Chen Yuan Xu Qingsong Wang Guifang Chen Xueliang Yuan | 2024 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2024,22,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Stem cell properties and neural differentiation of sheep amniotic epithelial cells显示文摘This study was designed to verify the stem cell properties of sheep amniotic epithelial cells and their capacity for neural differentiation. Immunofluorescence microscopy and reverse transcription-PCR revealed that the sheep amniotic epithelial cells were positive for the embryonic stem cell marker proteins SSEA-1, SSEA-3, SSEA-4, TRA-1-60 and TRA-1-81, and the totipotency-associated genes Oct-4, Sox-2 and Rex-1, but negative for Nanog. Amniotic epithelial cells expressed β-III-tubulin, glial fibrillary acidic protein, nestin and microtubule-associated protein-2 at 28 days after induction with serum-free neurobasal-A medium containing B-27. | 11 | Clinical and genetic analysis of two Chinese families with benign familial neonatal convulsions显示文摘Benign familial neonatal convulsions (BFNC) is a rare autosomal dominant inherited epilepsy syndrome. Two voltage-gated potassium channel genes, KCNQ2 and KCNQ3, have been identified as the genes responsible for BFNC. Here we report two Chinese families with clinical histories of typical BFNC. Using six microsatellite markers, two located at KCNQ2 locus and four at KCNQ3 locus, linkage analysis was performed in the two families, which excluded the linkage of BFNC to KCNQ3, but could not exclude the linkage to KCNQ2. Direct DNA sequencing of the KCNQ2 gene in the two families was performed, and two formerly unknown polymorphisms were identified, but no KCNQ2 mutation was found in the two families. | 15 | Mechanisms of Up-regulation of 17β-Estrodiol on β-Defensin-2 ( SBD-2) Expression in Epithelial Cells of Ovine Oviduct显示文摘[Objective]To investigate the mechanisms involved in the Up-regulatory effects of 17β-estrodiol on β-defensin-2( SBD-2) in epithelial cells of ovine oviduct. [Methods]Epithelial cells of ovine oviduct were isolated and cultured; and then the cultured cells at secondary generation were divided into 17β-estradiol( E2,10- 8mol / L) group,estrogen nuclear receptor antagonist ICI182780( 10- 7mol / L) group,PKA antagonist KT-5720( 1 μmol / L) group,PKC antagonist H-7( 50 μmol / L) group,nuclear factor kappa B antagonist PDTC( 50 μmol / L) group and the blank control group( Control). Firstly,different antagonists were added into corresponding antagonist groups in order to interfere the epithelial cells of ovine oviduct for 1 h. Then,17β-estradiol( 10- 8mol / L) was added into each antagonist group and E2 group for cultivation for 6 h. Finally,real-time fluorescent quantitative RT-PCR was used to detect the changes of SBD-2 mRNA expression.[Results]10- 8mol / L 17β-estrodiol had significantly Up-regulatory effects on the expression of SBD-2 mRNA( P < 0. 05). Estrogen nuclear receptor antagonist ICI182780,NF-κΒ antagonist PDTC and PKC antagonist H-7 could all block the Up-regulatory effects on SBD-2. But PKA antagonist KT-5720 showed no significant effects on the Up-regulation of SBD-2 mRNA expression induced by 17β-estrodiol. [Conclusions] SBD-2 mRNA expression induced by 17β-estrodiol in epithelial cells of ovine oviduct was mediated by estrogen nuclear receptor ICI182780,NF-κB and PKC pathways. | 16 | Carbon footprint accounting for cigar production processes: A life cycle assessment perspective显示文摘Although the tobacco industry is a significant contributor to energy consumption and carbon emissions its negative environmental impact has received inadequate attention globally.Cigarette factories are a key link in the tobacco industry’s production chain,and using data provided by a cigarette factory in China we conduct a life cycle assessment to account for the carbon footprint of cigar production in cigarette factories.The results of the assessment show that factory air conditioning is the most important contributor to the environmental load of the cigar manufacturing process,while electricity is the key factor that contributes the greatest envi‐ronmental load across all of the processes in the product life cycle.In addition,packaging,including small boxes and cigarette cartons,has a significant impact on the industry’s environmental footprint due to its use of raw materials.We find the carbon footprint of the entire production process for cigar products to be 383.59 kg CO_(2) eq.Based on our findings,we suggest ways to optimize cigar/cigarette factory processes to re‐duce carbon emissions that can help to promote sustainable development in related industries. | Guanzhun Cao Xiaoyao Guo Chuan Feng Tong Li Feng Cui Yuan Xu Shuo Yang Qingsong Wang Leping Chen Xueliang Yuan Guifang Chen | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2023,21,4: | 0 |
